Ramadan 2022: Where to Eat Iftar and Suhoor in London | Eater London

"Situated a short walk away from the tourist zoos that are the Sherlock Holmes and Madame Tussauds museums is this blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Libyan restaurant, on Dorset Street. On any spring evening, expect to see North African uncles sipping mint tea and smoking shisha by the curbside. The food is tasty and the service oscillates between being slightly brusque and exceedingly warm, bringing out dishes like embakbka, a Libyan pasta stew, and Acacus is open for suhoor from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m." - Maazin Buhari

We had an amazing experience at Acacus Restaurant, thanks to Khaled and Karuna! From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional. Their friendly attitude and excellent service made the whole evening even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of authentic flavor. Khaled and Karuna truly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and well taken care of. Highly recommended—great food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere!

Highly recommend couscous. I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole meal even more enjoyable. The food was delicious and felt very authentic — the flavours were rich and comforting. The lamb was especially impressive: tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The appetisers were also amazing, with fresh bread and flavourful dips that paired beautifully together. Highly recommended! I would definitely come back again. had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole meal even more enjoyable. The first time I tried Libyan food, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was decent. However, the food was not fresh and tasted preheated. I don’t think I will visit this restaurant again. But if you’ve never tried Libyan food before, it might be worth giving it a chance.

Wonderful authentic North African restaurant. Food was full of flavour and there was plenty if it. I had the Moroccan lamb tagine and it literally fell off the bone. Excellent value for money. The staff were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about all the ingredients and serving suggestions. Atmosphere was welcoming and charming. Would highly recommend this little gem.

Going to this restaurant reminded me of my childhood. Ordered couscous Libyan (wedding style) with Coke. The lamb gravy was so flavourful that it made the cous cous even more tasty. The chick pea and vegetables in the lamb gravy blended in so well with the lamb which was cooked perfectly making it easy to eat from the bone. Ahmed (if I remember right) suggested this dish and made sure that the dish is accompanied with the crushed chilli to enhance the taste. The overall ambience was good, the dish was perfect and service was well appreciated. Highly recommend

A good lunchtime meal with excellent, professional service. I wasn’t overly adventurous with my choices but the dishes were pleasant. Particularly liked the gratuitous starter. The fresh orange juice was tasty. Lunch in total came to £24 which was very reasonable. Was quiet when I was there but the music was ambient which made for an atmosphere. Was very clean but had a whiff of shisha smell to the establishment as you might expect.

I was looking forward to coming to this restaurant for so long and when I got here I was not disappointed. Food tasted great!, perhaps some dishes were different to they would taste back home but still absolutely worth it and I would highly recommend visiting the restaurant and trying some authentic and delicious Libyan food. We tried Sharba, which is a libyan classic, we also tried the Ossban which was delicious just wish it was a little more spicy. Then we tried Embakbka which is a must. Lastly we tried Cous Cous wedding style which was the cherry on top. Finally we concluded our visit with some Libyan tea to help digest it all this deliciousness

We had the most wonderful time celebrating my darling friends 60th birthday. The staff especially Osama helped us with everything we needed and advised on what we should order. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great too.
