"Though the drinks are serious at Accomplice, the vibe is far from buttoned up. The cocktails play with lesser-known Asian ingredients, adding them to familiar cocktails like the “whiskey (sweet and) sour,” made with ginger, sesame, aquafaba, amaretto, and whiskey. And if you’re hungry, you can order from Little Fatty, the associated Taiwanese-inspired spot next door, and the food will promptly be brought to your table. (Think modern takes on classic dishes like squid ink soup dumplings and General Tso's cauliflower.) It’s a great spot for a casual date night or to catch up with friends with adventurous palates." - Celeste Moure

"No one would consider Mar Vista a tentpole of LA nightlife, but this residential neighborhood is home to our favorite cocktail spot on the Westside. Accomplice is the kind of place you walk into for a quick drink after work and end up staying for three hours because the bartender is explaining the nuances of Japanese whiskey and whipping together unique cocktails that make use of anything from hot mustard to seaweed-infused vodka. Plus, if you get hungry, you can order food from Little Fatty, the Taiwanese spot next door." - brant cox, sylvio martins

"The always-buzzy neighborhood cocktail bar connected to chef David Kuo’s Little Fatty Taiwanese restaurant in Mar Vista has served cutting-edge cocktails since day one. The bar menu leans into fun cocktails using intriguing ingredients such as eucalyptus glass and kettle corn dust. The elegant apple martini is upgraded with clarified Granny Smith apple juice, Thai basil, and white balsamic vinegar. In contrast, an espresso martini comes out on a nitro tap and is spiced with ras el hanout." - Caroline Pardilla

"Accomplice is one of the more underrated bars on the Westside, and its Mar Vista location is an ideal middle ground when neither of you really want drive more than 15 minutes outside Venice and Santa Monica for this. The cocktails at this modern bar are great, and when you get hungry, you can order from Little Fatty, the solid Taiwanese spot next door. They’ll serve you right at the bar." - brant cox, brett keating
"Accomplice is a small bar in Mar Vista and a place you go specifically to drink perfect cocktails. The menu is broken into three sections - riffs, classics, and specials. Whatever you go with will be one of the better-made cocktails on the Westside. That includes the poorly balanced negroni you make for yourself at home three times a week. The place does get crowded during peak weekend times and Happy Hour, but no one’s obnoxious about how drunk they’re getting. If you get hungry, you can order-in anything from the Taiwanese spot, Little Fatty, next door." - brant cox
