Ace Outpost - Review - Queen Village - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"In some ways, Ace Outpost is unlike any other coffee shop in town—it’s part-cafe, part-vintage store, and has a dash of event space thrown in. And yet, it blends right in with the other quirky shops on 4th Street in Queen Village. A projector plays everything from skateboard videos to cartoons while locals read or enjoy the raspberry sprinkle donuts. Most importantly, the coffee is good. And if you’re not a coffee drinker, follow them on Instagram to check out their special events, like wine bar pop-ups from Mish Mish, or block parties." - Alison B. Kessler

Boston Brew-Your-Own-Beer Brewery Raises Money for a Philly Location | Eater Philly

"I learned that Hopsters, a Boston-based brewery that first opened in 2013 in Newton and debuted a flagship location in Boston’s Seaport District in early 2018 after a Wefunder campaign that raised almost $2 million from 500 investors, is crowdfunding to raise $4 million for a Philadelphia outpost in the 2400 Market building; founder Lee Cooper says the Philly site will be part regular brewery, part “DIY brewery” where patrons can design their own beer, and part restaurant serving wine and cocktails along with beer, with a hoped-for opening in spring 2019 and plans to be the first location outside Massachusetts in a broader expansion to 16 locations by 2022." - Rachel Vigoda

Great spot great vibe great coffee. Kept it simple with a latte and wife got a tea. Picked a little treat up to snack on for the car ride. Super cool sound system installation on back wall. I could def see posting up here to get some work done and sip my delicious cafe. Super bonus it’s connected inside to a dope vintage shop.

A dream blend of coffee shop with charm and vintage soul. The interior is stunning! A mixture of Mid-century furniture, warm lighting, and tasteful retro details. The vibe is so cozy. The staff really knows their brews. The espresso was so silky! Perfect for a chill hangout or a thrifting and a caffeine quick stop.

Stumbled upon this place by accident and I’m very happy that I did. I got the seasonal pomegranate matcha and OMG… such a good flavor combo!! The vibe of this place is unmatched too. There’s a lot of people working, but there’s also a projector playing and a vintage thrift store attached. I’ll definitely be back to try their other menu offerings!

Great idea for a coffee shop to also sell vintage clothing, but you should be coming for the vibes and vintage, not the coffee. Vibes and shopping are nice. Music is a mixed bag, not sure why they have monitors (speakers) all over the place and not using vinyl, would certainly fit their atmosphere better. Coffee was poor. Equivalent of what one would get at an Italian coffee shop, but prices are double. Based on the taste, I’d say they’re using an Italian roast, so it’s very dark / robust, not what I enjoy in third wave coffee or for third wave coffee pricing. Baristas need to be trained better, milk was burnt in a latte and cortado was poor. We also asked for our drinks ‘for here’ and were given them in to-go cups. I would not return, unless I was solely shopping vintage pieces.

There was no greeting upon entering, to me or my wife. No name was obtained for the order. There was a lack of warmth to the space. The two dirty chai hot drinks we purchased were subpar at best. It is unclear as to why they are top 10 on Belli for coffee shops in Philly. It’s clear that the energy was put into the vibes and the coffee shop was an after thought.

Vibes immaculate. The interior is such a vibe. Loved the concept and hybrid with the vintage store. Coffee here is regular, but offerings are standard and needed. Loved the projection videos and speakers on the wall.

The customer service was great! My favorite barista works here and the atmosphere is very calming and quiet along with the aesthetic of the place! Couldn’t fall in love with a place more.
