Ace's Pizza - Review - Long Island City - New York - The Infatuation

"Ace’s Pizza, a Detroit-style spot that started in Williamsburg, has a third location for their crunchy square pies in Long Island City. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Google
We got the spicy boi pizza and it was amazing. The flavor was amazing, the edges were perfectly crispy. It was definitely overpriced but was delicious.

Google
Great pizza, stuck with a classic and went with pepperoni. Got some side sauces. Their ranch was impeccable, hot honey was as expected. Hands down enjoyed it more than Prince Street Pizza's pep. They have a N64 for you to play while you wait too.

Anne Hathaway did not spit in my food.

Google
This Hawaiian Pizza is excellent in a deep dish Detroit style. I'm not a huge fan of pineapple as a topping, but these were finely diced, not huge & straight out of a syrupy can. Spam makes a pretty good topping, akin to having ham or salami on one's pizza.

Google
Yup. It slaps. The spicy boi was better than the pepper trio w sausage but they were both def worth going back. I tried the one in bk once but this one’s closer. Hope I don’t end up there too often haha. Thanks aces. You picked the right spot for another location.

Google
Super psyched to have Detroit Style pizza back in Queens. Crunchy savory pan baked pizza. Menu pizzas is for personal sized order (2 slices). They can be ordered large (8 slices).

Google
Bad and overpriced. When I ordered the person at the register asked me what size I wanted and and referred to the 3 different size boxes. I assumed the size of the box would be close to the size of the pizza… but the pizza was significantly smaller than the box, so I was deceived. I got the Hawaiian pizza, I was surprised that it didn’t have pizza sauce. It didn’t say it had sauce on the menu but none of the pizzas said they had sauce on the menu… so I just assumed it would. Then I ordered a cup of sauce for $2. I should have have asked how big the sauce cup was because it was tiny and not worth $2. I ended up spending $32 for a medium pizza, a can of coke and a tiny cup of sauce. On top of all that the pizza wasn’t even good. 👎👎

Google
I ordered a Hawaiian pizza, which is traditionally not spicy. The name didn’t indicate any modifications, and I didn’t check the listed ingredients since there was no reason to expect a difference. When I mentioned this to the cashier, he told me it was my fault and that nothing could be done. I believe that when a traditional dish is altered, it should be clearly stated. When I asked for a replacement with the standard version, he refused. Disappointing service!

Yelp
Another recommendation from the instagram algorithm led me here. I was today years old hearing of Detroit styled pizza for the first time. I've only known of two styles, the NYC thin slice and the Chicago deep dish. Ace's Detroit Pizza is like a lighter version of the deep dish but what I had was anything but light. Starting off, the place is in a food court so Ace's is really a vendor stall. The menu is limited in options but what they offer in pizza and breadsticks they have several variations of it. I opted for the Meat lovers personal pizza and garlic cheese breadsticks. Once again I got in over my head and what I ordered was too much for me to handle on the first go but it was delicious. The meat lovers personal pie was loaded with pepperoni, sausage and bacon & the garlic cheese breadsticks were as advertised with Marinara sauce. One small drawback is that the place is cashless, meaning you can only use cards. A bit of a bummer because I had mostly cash on me so that's something to take note of. Other than that the food is good and the nice aestethic they have going on up front is a small CRT TV with a Nintendo 64 hooked up to it with a modest stack of games. It was a fun time killer while waiting for lunch.

Yelp
Hidden in Jacx&co Food Hall is this pizza chain Ace's Pizza. I've been looking for good pizza in LIC, so learning about this place curbed that satiation for pizza! We did a pick up order so the pizza was given fast! You could also eat at the market which is so nice during the night because of how dim it is. You get to feel fancy eating pizza! I love the different sizes of pizza (personal, medium, large), so you can adjust the food intake! We got medium of spicy boy and Hawaiian! Spicy boy's sauce was towards the sweeter side, but I liked the pepperoni cups! The Hawaiian used spam instead of ham and it had sesame seeds and nori, which I find to be an interesting addition! The bread was crispy on the edges because it was coated with cheese, but I loved how soft and fluffy the bread still was. Would get again if I really wanted pizza and didn't want to go all the way to the city

Yelp
Nice little pizza place in the JAXc food court. Service was fast and friendly Supreme: This square pizza hit the spot. Just the right amount of sauce and toppings with a thicker Detroit style crust that was just the right amount of crispy on the edges. A great little spot. Had I stayed longer I would have ordered from them again.

Yelp
Make sure you go inside JaxNco Food hall and it's in the back. Very nice staff and pizza is super fresh, came out crunch and not soft. Sometimes those Detroit styles come too soggy, but not this one. I got the Spicy Boi, which isn't printed on the menu on the board but they have it! It's on their online menu and paper menu. Has pepp, burrata, chili pesto sauce, and drizzled hot honey. Kind of skeptical about sweet on pizza like pineapple on pizza (team doesNOTbelongonpizza) and the hot honey wasn't that bad!

Yelp
Very nice flavor with good variety from Ace's. Jaxc and co is a nice environment with casual dining options in case you aren't looking for pizza. Never very crowded. Service is quick albeit just counter service. Great spot to meet friends in the queensboro plaza area with close proximity to subways and buses

Yelp
Great recent addition to JACX&CO. I'm a fan of the Williamsburg location and the pizza here is just as good, far as I can tell. Pepperoni is amazing - definitely get that. I also tried the Supreme, which was tasty but a little soggy. Will be back for more pepperoni and to try the salads.

Yelp
It was my first time to NY, and I love their deep dish pizza . They have so many kind of flavors and size options, I will definitely come back again!! Thanks again!!

Yelp
To find Ace's Pizza take the E/M/R trains to Queens Plaza, and then find Jacx Food Court. I ordered a personal Mushroom and grabbed a table in the spacious food court. My Pizza was very good. The crust was firm, and the Mushrooms were very good. My bill with a bottle of water was $15.78. Thank U next!

Yelp
Truly we are blessed to get an Ace's Pizza in LIC. Located in the JACX&CO food hall at Queens Plaza, Ace's serves up gourmet Detroit-style pizza in a variety of delightful and interesting forms. I indulged in a medium pepper trio which absolutely rocked my world. I had to be physically restrained in order to keep from eating the whole thing in one sitting. The price point is similar to what you'd spend on a pie at other places, but good luck finding a comparable square boi of this quality anywhere close. While it's theoretically possible to dine in at the food hall, the takeout/delivery option is mighty compelling. Fingers crossed they roll out a cheeseburger pizza like at the Williamsburg location.

Yelp
Ace's is a great little pizza shop in the JACX&CO food hall. It's Detroit style, so thick crust, rectangular shape, and pan pizza style, so it's got crispy edges. They pizzas are made to order. I'd take a freshly made personal size over a slice (or 2) any day. The storefront is cute, with a retro entertainment section on the counter (old CRT TV, Nintendo, and VCR). The food hall is a great place to eat by yourself or with friends; there's a few good options for food and plenty of seats (although parking in the area can be a trick). If you haven't been to LIC in a while this is a good place to start.

Yelp
This was possibly the worst and most overpriced Hawaiian pizza I've ever had in my life. I really don't recall them stating on the menu that it's a white pizza because all Hawaiians we have ever had are just regular pizzas with ham and pineapple on top. Also It was incredibly spicy which is not part of a regular Hawaiian pizza. It was also very sparsely topped. I don't know why it would be so different, but it was extremely expensive for something that nobody in my family could eat when I brought it home. Looks nothing like the picture online.

Yelp
Never had this style before! I'm definitely sold !! Hot Burrata was really good. Staff was also nice and helpful too !

Yelp
Happily surprised these guys moved to the neighb! Pepperoni was on point. Blown away by the quality and flavor of their pies. Highly recommend!

Yelp
How in the world is something the size of a slice 20+ dollars. Insanity. Your prices are actually criminal lmao
