"Choose between grandma- or Detroit-style slices with pepperoni cups, sausage and peppers, or Buffalo chicken toppings. Italian American-inspired sandwiches are as big as your head at the Rock Center location of this pizzeria born in Williamsburg." - Melissa McCart

"There are things you need to experience before you die. One is falling in love, and another is Detroit-style pizza. Ace’s has some of the best in the city, and they have a little location geared toward takeout on the lower level of Rockefeller Center. Varieties like vodka meatball and buffalo chicken are available, but we prefer the plain cheese. The thick, deep brown, crispy burnt cheese edges are what make each pie special, and you’ll want to hoard the corner slices. The pizzas are baked to order, so you won’t get your food quickly. They’re worth the wait." - bryan kim, will hartman, hannah albertine, kenny yang
"You’ve got to admire the confidence of Ace’s Perfect Pizza. They’re opening up a Detroit-style pizza shop in one of the most iconic locations in the proudest pizza city in the world. The Detroit double slices and twice-cooked wings at the original Ace’s location have been enthusiastically vetted by Brooklynites (and us), and they’ll be making their official Manhattan debut at Rockefeller Plaza early next year. Until then, you can visit the pop-up, running Dec. 3 through the end of the year. We recommend trying one of the rotating sandwiches on the new extended menu. This week’s selections are vodka meatball and spicy chicken parm." - neha talreja
"After a successful December pop-up at 30 Rock, Ace’s Perfect Pizza is now getting set to open a brick-and-mortar spot in the same location. You’ll be able to pick up Detroit-style pies (some of the best in NYC) from their Midtown outpost sometime in February." - neha talreja
"Ace’s has some of the best Detroit-style pizza in the city. This outpost is situated among a bunch of other dining options (including Alidoro, Fuku, Blue Ribbon Sushi, and more) on the concourse at Rockefeller Center. Varieties like vodka meatball and buffalo chicken are available, but we prefer plain cheese. The thick, deep brown, crispy burnt cheese edges are what make each pie special, and you’ll want to hoard the corner slices. The pizzas are baked to order, so you won’t get your food quickly. They’re worth the wait." - team infatuation
