The 38 Best Restaurants in Dublin, Ireland | Eater

"Dublin has plenty of Thai-inspired spots, but few nail fire and flavor like Achara. Start with the mussel skewer, blistered over live fire and slicked with satay. Argentinian prawns come drenched in peanut and lemongrass sauce, while Feighcullan chicken thighs arrive with crisped skin and a punch of fish sauce. The aubergine — smoky, garlicky, and rich with Thai basil — is the sleeper hit. Cocktails lean sharp, especially the barbecue rhubarb gimlet. Vibe check: The flavors are big on spice and smoke, but the restaurant remains cool, relaxed, and great for a group of friends." - Corinna Hardgrave

Been twice now to this place and thorougly enjoyed the food and the vibe. Service is casual and friendly and all the staff seem to be happy in their jobs. Ideally i would recomend going with a group that enjoy sharing and dont mind a bit of spice. Some of the dishes are surprisingly spicy but incredibly tasty and perfectly executed. Well within my spice tolerance but others found some dishes a bit challenging, and not much guidance on the menu. Wine menu is reasonable and very nice. Also they have a limited cocktail menu but really nail the options they offer. Not sure if they would do something off menu. All in all an excellent experience and the fixed menu for 45 euro is a bargain. Will be back again for sure.

Achara serves up one of the best Kra Pao in Dublin. We came for an early dinner and couldn't have asked for better service. Luke our waiter was amazing, spoke to us about his suggestions and favorite dish on the menu, and checked back with us frequently to ensure we had the best service possible. The menu is small but each dish is packed with flavor. There are some veg options as well like the Kale fritters which are a must, and the wok fried oysters.

Excellent Thai food. The menu focuses on regional and less common dishes, which really makes it stand out. Every dish was full of flavor and perfectly balanced. The staff were professional and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed but stylish. One of the best meals we had in Dublin. Highly recommended.

A little disappointing. We read good reviews about this place in the Irish Times and The Irish Examiner papers last year and so came here on a Monday as we happened to be in the city. Appreciate it was cooked on charcoal but no sauces and generally quite dry. Popular as it filled up quickly after we arrived in at 5pm.

Came here for date night on a bank holiday weekend, so it was very busy. What I liked: • Great atmosphere • Lovely, attentive staff – we were looked after well and our order was taken promptly • Good location and good options in the menu • Reasonably priced What could be better: • The food was quite salty across all dishes, from starters to mains (we mentioned this to staff at the time) • Would really benefit from a coat-hanger particularly in the winter – other guests’ belongings ended up in our space from their handbags to coats What we ordered: Baby Kale Fritters, Wagyu Basil Chilli Lamb Krapao, Veal Curry, Green Beans

Great concept of Thai food cooked over charcoal, with great service. All the food was delicious, including the chargrilled sea bass. I thought the cocktails were interesting on paper but the flavours were unbalanced, unfortunately. The service was 100% - we asked to be moved further from the kitchen and they bent over backwards to accommodate. Then throughout the meal, the wait staff checked regularly to see if we needed anything and to explain the menu. Can't wait to go back!

This was my first time trying Thai food and WOW. It knocked my socks off. I didnt expect it to be so incredibly good. The flavour, the spice and OH MY GOD the flavour. Those chicken wings I could eat a bucket of those really. Not to mention the service was just so nice.

Phenomenal. Ceviche phenomenal. Aubergine phenomenal. Everything else we ordered (long beans, tom yum mocktail) amazing. Best meal I've had in Dublin. Highly recommend.
