An intimate downtown room where chefs finish dishes tableside—think pasta alla ruota, seafood pastas, and a deep wine list. Covered by Mouth by Southwest and praised by local reporters; also noted in the City of Chandler’s recent downtown growth highlights.

Wonderful date night with an excellent meal and service all around (thank you, Rachel). We have been many times and this place never disappoints. So fortunate to have this special place in downtown Chandler! Chef Nikola, once again, hits it out of the park with the incredible dishes and intimate setting!

Google
As a former chef, I have high standards, and Acqua Di Mare completely exceeded them. The atmosphere transported me straight to the Italian Amalfi Coast - it was incredibly romantic and beautifully designed. What truly stood out was owner Nikola's dedication. He was everywhere, personally greeting guests, assisting with dishes, and ensuring seamless coordination. It's rare to see such genuine passion and involvement. The food was simply amazing, with exquisite presentation to match. The service was also top-notch. For a truly special and romantic evening, Acqua Di Mare is a must-visit.

Google
Sooo intimate the setting, it was very peaceful and romantic. And I’m saying this and I’m a guy haha. Like wow. The servers were not servers at all they were more like professionally trained butlers, the service was on point as well as the food! Just sit back and enjoy your food and your time without worry because they make you feel like priority and like royalty. Honestly I give this place 10 stars if I could. Take it from me a person who has left over 25 different google restaurant reviews. And I only leave reviews when it really worth it, and this place is worth every penny! I got the lamb rack of ribs! Very good! I will be back!

We saw this pasta wheel on TikTok and decided to give it a try. We were really impressed with the pasta and the taste. I ended up sharing my pasta with my friend because we were afraid it would be too much and honestly, I think if I had gotten a full serving, I would’ve ate the whole thing and had a huge pasta belly. We were super happy that we decided to share because she had ended up getting appetizers beforehand and she said the calamari was delicious and really enjoyed it. I’m not a fish person so I didn’t try it and couldn’t offer anything other than what their opinion was on it and they said it was really good. They like that there was a combination of kinds meaning there was like rings and then there was these other fried pieces and again I don’t eat that kind of thing so I really couldn’t tell you what exactly it was, but there was two different kinds of calamari and they really liked it on the plate

Acqua Di’Mare is our favorite new restaurante in Chandler. Amazing food, very unique, great service. The Lobster pasta was great and beautiful. The Octopus is probably the best we have ever had. The Tiramissu and the the pasta were an experience on their on. We will definitely come back. The ambient is also so unique, great for a date night. Thank you Nicola, Rachel, Mary and team. We are looking forward to try the whole menu.

Had a wonderful experience, Joseph was our waiter and he was phenomenal! He walked us through the menu as it was our first time and was incredibly thorough and described so many dishes based on our preferences, very appreciative of his expertise! My husband and I shared the Cesar salad and lobster bisque, the salad was plentiful and the dressing was very flavorful. The bisque had huge chunks of lobster and was buttery and creamy. I ordered the Cacio e Pepe which is made table side in their giant cheese wheel and it did not disappoint! The cheese and truffle oil topped with fresh ground pepper and truffle was so creamy and not super rich, the homemade pasta was light, I will dream of this dish! My husband ordered the steak Nikola and this is by far one of the most tender, melt in your mouth pieces of meat I have had in a while. Cooked to perfection and also prepared table side, the mix of bearnaise sauce, cognac, truffle and garlic was absolutely to die for. We will 100% be back! Thank you again Joseph for your superb service and making our experience that much more wonderful!

Google
Such a quaint little Italian restaurant with a fabulous menu! We were provided with fresh warm bread and olive oil with fresh basil to dip it in. Then came the appetizer of fried squid with aioli and marinara sauce - delish! Hubby had spaghetti and meatballs with marina and I had the smoked bucatini. They gave us a dessert of two cannolis for our anniversary too. The staff were all top notch with their service and the atmosphere was lovely. Great music overhead too. Had a wonderful evening meal.

Google
If I could, I’d rate it a 10. Hands down the best pasta I’ve ever had. I know everyone comes for the cheese wheel pasta (cacio e pepe)—and it’s amazing—but you have to try the sacchetti porcini and truffle. And oh my god, the tiramisu for dessert? Absolute perfection.

Yelp
This place deserves a 5 star. We did have to wait for over 30 minutes for our reservation that we made 5 weeks ago, but that was due to a table that would not get up. But the did the unthinkable and after 30 minutes of the people have paid their bill asked them for the table. Most restaurants would not do that but they did. They were very sorry and bought our first round. My friends loved their espresso martinis Service was great with recommendations. She continually checked on us. She did our table side dinner and dessert. It is a smaller restaurant so I would recommend reservations or there seemed to always be open seating outside. Definitely recommend especially for a date.

Yelp
A cute spot with good pasta from what we tried. I came here with my bf for my birthday. We both ordered the Cacio E Pepe. I got mine with shrimp and he had his with meat balls. The pasta was delicious however, the price for this pasta without the proteins is a little over priced. At the end I had to order the tiramisu, but was disappointed. The cream had an orange flavor that I was not a fan of.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place out as it's one i'd pass by everyday after work. Thankfully, my friend decided to celebrate her 20th birthday here and I got the chance to try! I had very high expectations as i've heard many great things about this place. I did enjoy my experience and would likely come back and order things I regretted not ordering but, I wasn't wowed. I was on a budget so I ordered their carbonara pasta and a mocktail. My pasta was extremely salty, hard to enjoy. My mocktail was good, but kind of tasted just like a basic strawberry lemonade. I do think my experience was my fault and I should have ordered something totally different for the real experience which is why I want to try it out again and hopefully get wowed. My friend ordered the cheese wheel pasta and it looked amazing... The little show was pretty cool as well! If you want to have a good experience definitely come without a small budget to get the experience everyone raves about.

Yelp
Everything! This place takes you out of the US and right into Italy. Say it isn't so... bringing a little piece of Italy to Chandler is a dream come true. The food is not just amazing but a flavor Explosion of the pallet. The service was outstanding and works well as a team. Small and quaint but very clean. I felt I was right in Italy

Yelp
I'm really upset that I didn't come here sooner. I've walked by this place a hundred times and always saw it was busy. This place did not disappoint. We made reservations for later in the evening and were greeted by a friendly hostess. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine list and pairings and made recommendations on the menu. We don't get too many date nights and this was worth every penny. The attention to detail in the food was unreal and loved that you could get a show if you ordered the cacio e Pepe. We will be back for sure to get more of the meatballs and to try their tiramisu which looked insane.

Yelp
Amazing!! My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here. I love how small and intimate the place is. I highly recommend calling ahead of a reservation here! Appetizers: Risotto was so creamy and seasoned so perfectly. Beef Carpaccio was amazing! One of my favorite dishes. Entree: my wife had the lobster pasta dish that was very light and fresh. I ordered the Veal. The veal was so freaking tender and cooked to perfection. Not overly seasoned and the sauce on top brought the dish to a whole nother level. We even got cannabis on the house because we were celebrating, which was also fantastic. Service was great. Everyone was so friendly here. They also serve cacio e pepe here, table side service tossed in a cheese wheel! We didnt order this, but probably will the next time we visit.

Yelp
My husband took me here for our anniversary dinner and everything was immaculate! We sat on the patio and it just so happened that there was live music on the corner that was perfect for the vibe. Still unsure if this was intentional or not but my husband swears that they had to be paid because they were playing Italian type music and it made the whole experience that much better. We ordered the cheese wheel pasta, a meat dish and of course, dessert. My husband said he was too full to share a dessert initially but I chose to order the tiramisu anyway and he ended up eating 3/4 of it. He still says it's the best tiramisu he's ever had. I truly don't feel like you could go wrong with any of the food options here. Every time they brought out a dish to another table, we couldn't help but eyeball it because it all looked so good. If you want a nice evening out and willing to spend a little more, this is the place!!

Yelp
I've been eyeing this place for some time now. Finally decided to come here for date night. It's a cute little place, and when I say little I mean we sat right next to a table, where we could literally hear them chew. Wish we could have gotten a different table. We ordered the octopus to start, it was cooked perfectly, but the table right next to us their sizing was different from ours which I found odd. My date ordered Cacio E Pepe, the cheese wheel pasta, I honestly expected them to give us the excess cheese they scraped out, since technically we paid for it, but it was thrown out instead. Don't understand the hype of it all especially since we didn't get much cheese out of it. I suppose we paid for the experience. I can't remember the name of what I got but it was pretty good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Service I understand is supposed to be kind of intimate, but I found it to be ridiculously slow. The table next to us ordered three desserts while we were waiting on our check. Instead of dropping off our check and maybe letting us pay so we could leave. We had to sit and watch our server prepare all the desserts at the table. Cool we got a free show, but we had to wait for them, then another table to get their dessert before he even remembered to give us our check. So that was a bit annoying. I also witnessed a consumer state that their lamb was incredibly undercooked and instead of just cooking it more, they were told that's how it was intended. No raw is not how lamb should be eaten. Med rare would be perfect temp or whatever the consumer may have wanted... All in all, nice place, but I rather spend my money else where.

Yelp
Friday night dinner, we were seated outside. The misters were on so happy they were especially with table side cooking. Our server was super attentive and gave some amazing recommendations. We ordered the burrata and prosciutto as well as the crab cake. I absolutely loved the crab cake more. Such a great flavor and moist it didn't have filler as some other drab cake dishes. We ordered 4 entrees the aqua de mare, cacio e Pepe, rigatoni aka vodka, pocchetti ala nikola. My favorite dish was the pocchetti ala nikola i was very surprised by these little pasta balls, highly recommend! I was disappointed by the cacio e Pepe I thought I would've loved it a lot more but I feel like the truffle was a lkill and wish there wasn't as much shaved on top I feel like it took from the flavor of the pasta and cheese. And can't forgot the table side tiramisu, which was phenomenal and a must have!

Yelp
Acqua di Mare is an intimate Italian restaurant in downtown Chandler. It's tucked away from the main drag, and the largest reservation that can be made is for a party of 6. So, pick your favorite 5 people to join you for this dining experience! Many of the dishes are prepared/finished tableside. The flair and attention to every detail - from truffle shavings to flambé was not only entertaining but absolutely delicious! This was on my list of restaurants to try, and it did not disappoint. I can't believe it has taken me this long to review, as I have talked so highly of this place to so many people already. But now I'm sharing it with the Yelp community as well. Food, service, ambiance - 11 out of 10!!!

Yelp
Good but expensive Make more variety Pasta was good and flavorful Server was good

Yelp
Hidden away in a small little niche of downtown Chandler is this gem! Very small, quaint. But all the servers give attention to detail and are not overbearing but friendly and conversational in a non intruding way. The food was par excellence!! We had an appetizer , cocktails, wine , salad, main course desert and we were shocked at the reasonable price of the delicious meal. I had the lobster di mare, and my spouse had the Nicola steak- both prepared table side and cooked to perfection. If I had only one criticism, I would say that the bacon added to the lobster dish caused it to be a little on the salty side-for me. But I like low salt and should have just avoided the bacon. We talked with one of the owners, our waitress and the sommelier- who were all very knowledgeable with aiding in choices. It was an anniversary dinner for us. I would strongly recommend this place and would take guests there again, or to celebrate another life event!

Yelp
Wow. All I can say is wow. One of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. Absolutely nothing disappointed. Walking into this cute quaint restaurant was like transporting back to Italy. I honestly love how small and intimate it is. Fresh bread, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar are served after being seated. Our waiter went over the entire menu with us (love this), and recommended some popular dishes. We ordered their fried squid and obviously it was delicious. For our entrees we ordered their truffle cacio e Pepe, carbonara, and their lobster dish. The cacio e Pepe were made in the Parmesan wheel then topped with freshly shaved truffle. The lobster dish was also prepared tableside. It feels so special to watch your food be made in front of you. We were celebrating a birthday and the owner Chef Nikola was kind enough to gift our table their delicious tiramisu and cannolis. I cannot say enough good things about this place!

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience here this past weekend. The restaurant feels quaint, but still classy. The chairs inside are extremely comfortable, and the music sets the mood for an Italian/Mediterranean experience. The service was excellent from the time we arrived until the time we left we were greeted with smiles and taking care of. Our server provided some recommendations. The crab cake was delicious!!! We tried a couple of pastas and got to watch them, make some pasta out of the cheese wheel for some tables near us, will definitely have to go back and try that out next time!

Yelp
This quaint Italian restaurant is conveniently located right next to the parking garage off of Chicago in Downtown Chandler. Since this charming location has limited seating, I highly encourage a reservation and keep in mind they do not allow any guests under 12 years old. Since I knew I wanted to have a nice dining experience for my birthday, I booked over a month out and they can accommodate up to a table of 6 if you have a larger party. This evening, we ordered multiple starters and desserts to get a wide array of items to taste the menu which are outlined with pricing below. Starters: Porcini Risotto - $21 Caprese di Campania - $21 Fried Squid - $19 Mains: Caccio E Pepe - $42 Rack of Lamp - $49 Short Rib Pappardelle - $38 Lobster Ravioli - $47 Desserts: Crepe Balan Rouge - $17 Cannolis - $14 When seated, they will bring a tray of bread and will freshly cut basil on top of a plate of olive oil which adds a nice fragrance to the table. This was a great start to allow us to place a round of cocktails in for the table and make our selections. The bread was delicious and loved the fresh basil with it as well. All of the food was absolutely divine, and I tried all of the meatless items. My favorite starter was the Porcini Risotto and is one of the better mushroom risottos I've had in the valley as it is one of my most ordered items if it's available on a menu. Same goes for Caprese, which I thought their Caprese was good but the risotto was the winner for my favorite starter. As for entrees, I ordered the Caccio E Pepe which is prepared table side. This is not just a dish that is entertaining to watch be prepared out of a cheese wheel but absolutely decadent! Fresh cracked pepper, black truffle, delicious cheese, what isn't there to love? This has been a dish I've wanted to try for years, and so grateful to find this location serves. It easily surpassed my expectations and I'm actually looking to booking to return next month because I'd love to enjoy again! Saving the best for last - dessert! Currently, they have one dessert that is prepared table side so we had to order that in addition to the traditional cannoli. Crepe Balan Rouge is absolutely divine! I loved the balsamic glazed strawberries that added acidity to offset the sweetness of the gelato, and the beauty of watching this be prepared and presented on the table. What a way to end an exceptional meal! This location is a must if you enjoy fine dining and Italian food! And if I know you, don't forget to invite me to join as I'll gladly visit this location again.

Yelp
We had the most incredible dinner at Acqua Di Mare. It was not just a dinner but a full experience! The service was impeccable and the ambiance beautiful!! The owner of the restaurant is so hands on and delightful! He made my husband's lobster dish table side. You can tell he truly cares about the customer and their experience. It's expensive but well worth it! I had the caccio Pepe topped with black truffle. It was INCREDIBLE!!! They gave us a free round of wine because it took "too long" for us to get the glass we ordered. We didn't even notice it took too long because we were enjoying the conversation, beautiful weather and patio ambiance. 10/10 and I wish nothing but success for the owner. It's rare you get service of this caliber anymore!!

Yelp
Amazing service and very attentive staff. Cozy atmosphere and delicious food with amazing recommendations from our waiter. We will definitely return!

Yelp
My friends took me here for my birthday and it was delightful. We were just in Bari, Italy in the fall (a little flex there) and the outdoor dining area was similar to the same that we had there albeit there was 20 degrees cooler. I believe I had Lobster di Mare and the beautiful woman had the Lobster pasta. We switched, haha, because it was my birthday of course and hers looked much better. And in fact it was delicious, so delicious. Not sure of the other lobster dish as I didn't taste it. I like also the fact that there was a minimum of 3 staff always near our table so we always were helped if we needed it.

Yelp
Let me tell y'all something! This was one of the best meals that my husband and I have had in the last 10 to 15 years! In fact, we've traveled to both Italy and Greece several times and this food spectacular! Everything from the food down to the service down to the ambience was absolutely outstanding! We were celebrating my 59th birthday. From the time that we walked in to the time that we left everyone including other patrons were just so amazingly warm, friendly and welcoming! Now let's talk about the food. I had the lobster bisque and I must say it was one of the most spectacular Lauster bisque that I have had in a long long long time. I also make a mean lobster bisque and I'm telling you this was on par with mine! My husband had the crabcake and he absolutely adored it! He is a native Washingtonian so he knows a good crabcake when he has one and he raved about this one continuously! For my entrée, I had the Lobster DiMare! When I tell you, this lobster almost melted in your mouth it nearly did! They cooked at table side with bacon, mushrooms, garlic onions, tomatoes, and Parmesan cheese, and served it with a Dijon cream sauce! I swear I wanted to pimp slap Steve because it was so good! My husband had the paella! This was a special and at the time not regularly on the menu. My husband has lived in Honduras and Costa Rica and he said this was one of the best paella that he has ever had! The bread service was also amazing because it was served with extra-virgin olive oil and freshly snipped basil. I don't even like basil, but it was a very, very nice touch and we enjoyed it. Since it was my birthday, they gave us some cannolis on the house. I almost didn't want to leave this review because I don't want anyone else to know about this amazing restaurant! But I couldn't keep it to myself! There are not enough adjectives to describe the meal and the experience! We can't wait to go back.

Yelp
My husband and I came for a special date night and had a good time. The atmosphere is quaint and romantic, perfect for a romantic night. To start the night my husband got an old fashioned and I had a mocktail. My drink was tasty but my husband was disappointed to see crushed ice in his old fashioned vs a larger block. We got the cacio e Pepe to experience the cheese wheel and it was delicious with a strong but not overpowering truffle flavor. For our main we had the chateaubriand. It was flambéed and cut table-side, and just like the pasta it was delicious. Finally, we finished the night with cannolis. While we enjoyed most of what we ate (cannolis were meh), at $400 for the meal, it is one of the more expensive places is the valley and we have had better tasting meals. Here, the ambiance and "show" of tableside service is definitely part of what you're paying for.

Yelp
Recommend: Yes. Perfect Date night spot. Food: Delicious! Love to come back again. Service: Excellent service. Treat you well. Acqua Di Mare is such a cute place. I heard this place has a cheese wheel so we had to come and check it out. They have several items on their menu where there is table side cooking (it was marked with an apostrophe on the menu). Food was amazing and the service here treats you well. Food: We got an appetizer of the octopus, the Acqua Di Mare (seafood) pasta, we also got the cheese wheel pasta (this pasta changes). Our friend also got the cheese wheel pasta and a short rib pasta. Everything was delicious. It was a fun experience and food taste great. I would love to come back again to try out more items on their menu! Service: service here is top notch. Most people don't do much for service but this place is very attention and just overall treats you well. I love the small touches of everything they do.

Yelp
Amazing place! Joseph was a perfect host. We loved it! Certainly we will be back! The menu really does make you think as everything on it is delicious.

Yelp
My fiancé and I went here recently and it was such an awesome experience! The service was impeccable; you can truly tell that everyone working there loves their job and takes it seriously. This restaurant is beautifully decorated and had a great vibe! We ordered the table-side cacio e pepe and the table-side steak nikola; the presentation was literal art and the food definitely tasted as good as it looked. Don't skip out on the complimentary bread with olive oil and finishing salt too if you come here because it's delicious! 10/10 recommend this restaurant to everyone and we will absolutely be coming back. :)
google avatar

Yelp
Service was nice. Food was good. A little pricey for some items. A modern twist on Italian dinning. Not traditional though. Make a reservation cause it's better sitting inside than on the noisy patio. Unless you're of the younger generation. I would eat here again.
google avatar

Jen K.

Yelp
So good! I've been wanting to find a restaurant that makes fresh pasta in a Parmesan wheel (personal dream of mine), and this restaurant definitely delivered! It was fun to have it prepared table side, but I wish we would have gotten a better table so I could have actually watched the process more closely. We were seated at the two top in the back by the kitchen, so there wasn't much space for the giant rolling cart to fit. We also got the table side shrimp and the burrata, and both were very good too. If we went back I would want to request a table on their patio because it looked gorgeous (though I'm not sure they take seating requests)...Very good experience overall though!
google avatar

Yelp
A lovely restaurant with incredible food. The seating area is limited as the spot is very small. You'll need a reservation which you can get through their website. I had dinner with a friend. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The marinara was delicate and plentiful. The meatballs were truly amazing. I know this is a simple entree but I think this dish tells you how good a restaurant is. It was a 10/10. My friend had Cacio E Pepe prepared table side. It was rich and complex. He ate all of it and loved it. We also shared a prosciutto burrata bruschetta that could have served four people. Very fresh. This is a great place. I highly recommend it!

Yelp
I cannot wait to come back here! I was so happy with everything we ordered. To start off, we had complimentary bread. It was soft and you'll have an individual plate with olive oil and basil, if you'd like. We ordered the Octopus (Primi Piatti/app) and it was so tender with delicious sauce. So good we ordered another one! For pastas, we had the Cacio E Pepe, Lobster Pasta and Acqua Di Mare. They were all delicious, I cannot choose a favorite! The Cacio E Pepe was created in a cheese wheel at your table side. It had rich flavors of the cheese with truffle. I enjoyed the seafood pastas as there was a perfect amount of the seafood. The Lobster Pasta had a better sauce, in my opinion, than the Acqua Di Mare but both still yummy. As for a drink, I had an Elderflower drink since they didn't have Limoncello at the time. It was alright and light which I wanted. To top off the evening, we had complimentary cannolis since we spontaneously came here for my boyfriend's birthday. The cannolis were so good. I recommend making a reservation before coming here! Because we randomly decided to come here, the available tables were outside and it's way too hot to sit outside now. I love that this place reminds me of restaurants in Europe. Lastly, the service was excellent. I can't wait to come back to try more dishes!

Yelp
In short? Table side pasta alla ruota. If you don't speak Italian like me, it's pasta cooked in a cheese wheel beside you. That's the reason to go, and yes, it's absolutely worth it, because while it's a show, it also tastes great. It's a great local date spot, with good drinks and a complimentary menu.

Yelp
We chose Acqua Di Mare for my son's birthday dinner. It did not disappoint. We started with 2 octopuses . The serving is small, it is an appetizer and it was 3 of us. This was the closest I've had an octopus taste so good since my Greece trip. Loved and recommend it. We ordered three different dishes to taste more. The Cacio di Pepe was just unbelievably delicious. The cheese wheel was an extra. This one was my favorite. The lobster pasta was good. The lobster was empty, you get what is on the dish for lobster meat. The sauce was super delicious. My second favorite. We had the Acqua Di Mare pasta, it was good with a mixture of seafood. It did not compare to the above. I had 2 cocktails that were delish. I don't drink often but had to go for a second one. Since it was my son's bday they brought two cannolis. They were good a bit burnt on edges. The ambience is European. It is small there is indoor and outdoor seating. We tried making a reservation same day online indoors, but there was none. We walked in and only outdoor seating was available.

Yelp
We very much enjoyed our tasty food, our funny and helpful waitress, and the mom and pop feel of the restaurant. Pros 1. Feels like a restaurant in a city like Chicago, NY, or somewhere in Europe. Lots of character. 2. The Cacio e Pepe (cheese wheel)!! I've seen the cheese wheel before but never in real life. Super fun to watch and very tasty. 3. Ambiance is great for socializing with friends, and it's laid back. We did a double date when we dined there. Cons 1. Overpriced pasta dishes. Pasta is not very expensive to make. For the Cacio e Pepe, you're pretty much paying for the cheese wheel "show." 2. Not the restaurant's fault at all, but the smell outside on the patio was not appealing. There was a strong cigar smell outside of the restaurant and also a smell that reminded me of the NYC subway station. I'm very glad we sat inside. 3. Reservation system is old school and it seems like it would be much more convenient for everyone to use OpenTable, Resy, etc.

Yelp
For an elegant, relaxing meal in Chandler, Acqua Di Mare is unmatched. Our group enjoyed a tender Tomahawk Pork Chop, rich lobster bisque, lamb chops, and Cacio E' Pepe. The Deconstructed Tiramisu for dessert was as stunning as it was delicious. Mary, our server, along with the staff, delivered outstanding service despite being busy. Mary's passion showed in her meal presentations, making the Cacio E' Pepe and Tiramisu unforgettable. The ambiance felt warm, like dining at a relative's home, inside or outside. Nicola, the owner, greeted every guest with genuine care, adding a personal touch. We came for a nice meal and left with a culinary experience we'll always remember.

Yelp
I have had this place flagged to check out for some time and decided to have my bday dinner here. They have several table side preparations available and I of course had to get the cheese wheel. My dinner was so delicious. My children also loved their meals. The service we excellent. This is a very small place so be sure to snag a reservation before you go.

Yelp
This place is so cute. We sat outside to enjoy the nice weather and people watching. The server was great he had good conversation and wonderful recommendations. The food dish I had was the pasta from the cheese wheel. The process to make the dish was exciting to watch and taste amazing as long as you like truffles.. I love that the server wasn't in your face but was around at the perfect time when you needed something. I will return again.

Yelp
I was worried this place is just for show with all the flambé and performance dishes, but it is incredible. Really amazing food and service! The atmosphere took me back to Italy - just like those hole in the wall restaurants with gorgeous patios! We got the ravioli and lobster both were incredible. I will definitely go back!

Yelp
To celebrate the one and only Diele K turning another year younger, we had the pleasure of enjoying a meal at Acqua Di Mare. After many times walking by with Diele, day dreaming of dining in, I was elated when I was extended an invite to join her birthday dinner reservation. This restaurant offers table side dining and reservations are strongly recommended although they may be able to accommodate a walk in. If you are unfamiliar with this type of dining experience, definitely checkout their website as it provides useful information! I feel our party of 4 was a good size to allow everyone to interact. When seated, they bring fresh bread for you to enjoy. The wait staff comes around and cuts fresh basil on the oil plate in front of you starting the sensory experience! So lovely! We all ordered our own items but ended up sharing as a table. I'll review some of the items I tried: - CAPRESE DI CAMPANIA ($21) The tomatoes were fresh but overall I feel the dish lacked seasoning. I also wished the mozzarella slices were a closer ratio to the tomato size as it felt lacking. I still enjoyed it though and it was a beautiful and tasty start to the meal. - PORCINI RISOTTO ($21) Absolutely recommend ordering this. This risotto had wonderful flavor with great texture. - FRIED SQUID ($19) This was definitely a quality plate of fried squid. It was perfect texture with no rubbery chew at all. Flavor was good with a light and crisp breading. - SHORT RIB PAPPARDELLE ($38) This pasta was very tasty. The sauce and short rib tasted as if it cooked all day long. The pasta completed the meat well and was cooked to a perfect texture. I had leftovers to take home and it was so good the second time as well haha. - CREPE BALON ROUGE* ($17) This dessert includes a table side dining experience. Highly recommend ordering this if you stop in for a visit. The experience of the chef making the crepes at the table is such a cool experience! It brought me back to culinary school, however, the sauce on these crepes was on another level compared to the banana fosters crepes I made. The crepes are also filled with a beautiful vanilla ice cream. Service was great and as it was an experience, plan to spend over an hour dining. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and hope to be back for asl special occasion soon.

Yelp
We came here for a birthday dinner and this place is absolutely charming. It's located in downtown Chandler right next to a parking garage, which is perfect. The interior design looks exactly like a restaurant from Italy. You really feel like you're on vacation. We ordered the burrata first. The presentation was beautiful and it was very tasty. We ordered the cacio e' pepe next. This pasta entree is prepared in a cheese wheel, table side. Our server did put on a show. It was fun, just watching everything being mixed together. Although I wish that the pasta was more creamy, considering it was tossed in a cheese wheel. We also ordered the special the day, which was a Seabass dish. I will have to say that this entrée was my favorite. The presentation was amazing. The fish was cooked to perfection and everything on that dish just worked really well together. Overall, my experience was great. I definitely recommend this little Italian spot for dinner if you're in downtown Chandler.

Yelp
We heard a lot about this restaurant and wanted to try it. We booked it for our 41st anniversary and it didn't disappoint. I had the Cacio E' Pepe my husband had the Short Rib Pappardelle. So so good. We would definitely go back. Our waiter was really good and attentive. I highly recommended the patio.

Yelp
What a wonderful experience. We went for my wife's birthday. Her pasta was prepared tableside in flaming Parmesan Cheese wheel. (Rigatoni Ala Vodka Con Salsiccia) with shaved truffle. So that was amazing. I had the Steak Nikola. Nikola is chef/owner. It's 9oz filet wrapped and cooked in Prosciutto cotto via en Papillote. When you start there, it just couldn't be anything but delicious, and it was. The dessert, which we almost skipped because they gifted us cannoli's. Our waiter Ben made Tiramisu at my table, and it was amazing. The place is pretty cozy. I didn't count, but maybe a dozen tables. There is outside seating as well. All in all, I typically love chef/owner restaurants when it feels like the chef is having fun. The food was as good as it was beautiful. Chef was out checking on guests as well. However, there was no need at our table because our waiter Benjamin was so attentive and helpful, but far enough away so my wife and I could have an uninterrupted meal and conversation. Great experience!

Yelp
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Acqua di Mare in downtown Chandler, and it was nothing short of spectacular. This charming Italian restaurant truly transports you to a quaint village on the Amalfi coast, with an atmosphere that's both inviting and authentically Italian. From the moment we stepped inside and were taken to our patio table, the ambiance was amazing, setting the perfect tone for our dining experience. We started our evening with some fabulous, unique cocktails that were both refreshing and creative. For our primi piatti, we savored the Fried Squid and Burrata with Prosciutto, both of which were bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Our pasta choice, the signature Acqua Di' Mare, was delightful and instantly took us back to the culinary delights of Italy. For our main course, we shared the Steak Nikola, which was cooked to absolute perfection and seasoned wonderfully. To conclude our meal, we indulged in a deconstructed Tiramisu with a cappuccino, a fantastic ending to our exquisite dining experience. A special thanks to the outstanding staff, especially our seasoned server Steve, who made our visit truly memorable with his impeccable service and attention to detail. We are eager to return and explore more of the menu at this exceptional restaurant. Highly recommended! I would like to give 1 suggestion that would have enhanced our overall experience. They should remove the few parking spaces in front of the restaurant. There were 3 different cars that were parked adjacent to where we were sitting that were emitting exhaust that dampened the enjoyment of the dining experience. These parking spaces aren't needed because the restaurant sits just a short distance from a large parking garage. Maybe if they placed some large planters in those spots, it would improve the outdoor ambiance and make for a more inviting picture friendly surrounding.

Yelp
We celebrated a birthday here and it was fantastic! It was a smidge warm inside, but not too bad. The chairs could use replaced as they felt like World Market chairs with a very worn out seat. Mine even rocked on the floor. The service was phenomenal and the food was delicious. We had the crab cake as an appetizer. It was full of crab and very little filler. Mild and lovely. My pasta was cooked perfectly with a very good tomato based sauce that wasn't full of acid like a red tomato sauce. Husband's pork was presented beautifully and had great flavor. Can't wait to go back at sit on the patio during good weather. Only took away a star due to the tight seating and uncomfortable chair.

Yelp
Probably the best Italian I've had in Arizona. Super fun date night vibe and the service was an easy 10/10

Yelp
Maybe my expectations were too high and Acqua failed to meet them on a couple accounts. My daughter raved about her experience a few days ago and I was glad our group had already made reservations because I was looking forward to giving this a try. What an awesome spot for dining on the patio. Music in the background was spot on adding to the ambiance and the feel. Service started out with wonderful oil with fresh clipped basil for the warm bread. Add a little salt to your oil for some extra flavor. The food was excellent. Each dish we had was cooked perfectly. I had the Short Rib, and the pasta was wonderfully cooked with just the right amount of meat. Our party was very pleased with each dish we had. I did expect better service from a white tablecloth establishment. Please take a look at my photos and you'll see a wonderful presentation of the cheese wheel my daughter and boyfriend experienced and then take a look at our experience. One Chef is dressed for the ambience with the right professional look and the next picture is our chef with his jeans, golf shirt and no gloves or apron. Might be something minor but it did dull the experience for me. Sure I'd go back but will wonder. One thing about me is I really like to not see empty glasses on the table and ours were for far too long tonight. The time before finishing a drink and being able to order another was a big miss in my mind. My glass and two others shouldn't be empty for more than 10 minutes and when the main course is served. I'll be back but certainly not as quickly as I may have since the experience didn't meet expectations as I thought it would.

Yelp
Oh my god how did I only take one picture here?! Yelp Elite fail. This place is the real deal. The indoor and outdoor ambiance were perfect and romantic and cozy (albeit snug). The wine selection was fantastic. The beef carpaccio was delightful. Truly. I could have eaten just this. As someone who vowed to only eat red meat twice this year...this was a good day to do it. Husband got the short rib pasta (very good) and I got the lobster pasta. My pasta was "meh". I am somewhat a foodie, and I know what lobster is supposed to taste like and it was SO SO SO chewy. The pasta was good and the flavor was good, but I wouldn't order lobster anything here. Maybe the chewy lobster was an anomaly, and I will def go back and try something else because all of the other food was great...but I was a bit disappointed by my meal. I'm not saying don't go, but maybe be a little tougher than me (or the lobster) and ask for a replacement if this happens to you.

Yelp
You have to be the color to eat here! Acqua Di Mare is a disgrace. We had a reservation here, and the experience was appalling. The hostess was kind, but the drunk owner came out, announced himself, and told me to "get the f*** out" when we requested a simple table accommodation. When I questioned his professionalism, he started yelling and insulting me in front of other guests, calling me an "a**hole." This place lacks any sense of hospitality or respect. Don't waste your time or money here.

Yelp
Disappointing Experience - Overpriced and Cramped I have a moment to write about an experience I had one late Sunday evening in January. It was a celebratory evening and I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, it was a letdown in several areas. The food was mediocre at best and certainly didn't justify the steep prices. The ambiance, which was billed as cozy, actually felt cramped and uncomfortable. Moving around was a challenge, and when it came time for the so-called highlight of tableside preparation, it became an awkward experience. As a person with mobility issues (I use a cane), it was a literal obstacle. I can't even imagine if someone was in a wheelchair in this establishment. The lack of space made it difficult to execute the famed tableside service properly. When the table to my left had their shrimp scampi prepared, the chef was practically in my lap. It was so physically close to me, I could feel the heat coming off the dish. Later, when it was the table on the opposites side to me's turn, the cart couldn't even squeeze past us, so the dish was prepared literally at my back, adding to the discomfort. If you decide to go, I strongly advise against sitting at the tables immediately to the left of the front door--unless you're keen on practically preparing your neighbor's food when the time comes. The service didn't improve the experience. Dinner service was rushed but fine . It was after dinner that the timing became WAY off. After our desserts arrived, we waited so long for our coffee that we were nearly ready to leave before they showed up. To make matters worse, the server brought our cappuccinos and the check at the same time, AFTER clearing our dessert plates. Forgive me if I'd like to enjoy our coffee with our desserts. Adding insult to injury, I was charged for a soda I never received. The restaurant had no diet soda options that evening, with the only alternative being water. In the end, I was charged for a drink I didn't even get, which compounded my frustration. It was rectified, yes, but only after I brought it to someone's attention. Overall, I was disappointed by the experience. With the lackluster food, cramped space, poor service, and pricing that didn't match the quality, I would not recommend this place. There are plenty of better options out there for the same--or less--money. I for one will not be coming back.

Yelp
Ok, this food, wow. I actually do have a few negatives BUT the food and sweet ambiance of this restaurant is too good not to give 5 stars and we will absolutely be coming back! What was so great? The risotto on the appetizer menu, I could've eaten 3 more bowls and licked them clean. The lobster ravioli in lemoncello sauce, whoooooa. I did start to get plate envy when I watched them serve up the table side pasta in the cheese wheel. But then I had one bite of this ravioli and the unbelievable sauce it came in, I cannot wait to go back and order these 2 things again. A few negatives....we were seated 6" from the front door, literally 6". This place is small, I get it, and that's part of what I like about it. It's quaint. This is just a spot I would not sit in again. It's awkward every time someone walks in or out, not to mention hot, as it's the summer. I look forward to going back when we can enjoy the patio. Our service was ok. Nothing major, just a lot of little things that added up to us walking out of there saying, hmmm, for a place like that, the waitress wasn't great. But the manager (maybe the owner?) came over to check in and apologize for the food delay, and the hostess was just lovely. So that balanced it out. Overall, even though we had a few complaints, this place is worthy of 5 stars, maybe even 6, because even writing this review, my mouth is watering for the risotto and ravioli. And it's just plain, well, cute and cozy. Great spot, just make sure you make a reservation!

Yelp
Amazing experience! Our server Joe was absolutely fantastic and the food is incredible! It feels so authentic and the music just sets the tone! I love this place and will be back when I visit Phoenix! I hope that Joe is my server again, he is so kind, knowledgeable and respectful, he made our dining experience even better! Way to go to this restaurant!
