Here’s Where to Spend 36 Food and Wine-Filled Hours in Lodi - Eater SF

"Winemaker and businesswoman Sue Tipton is an invaluable part of the Lodi wine scene. Winemaking is her later life career after her husband’s job took them all over the United States and Sweden. When they ultimately settled on a ranch in Lodi, they named it Acquiesce." - Laura Smith Borrman

Always a wonderful experience! I brought a visitng friend here and she totally loved it too! We were greeted a free glass of prosecco before we were lead to out tables (very fun!). Then as soon as we were on our table, we enjoyed four flight of wines! We went on the month of February so we also tried the Valentines special (a cherry + wine cocktail). It was absolutely favorite!!! 💖 Overall, 10/10 recommend!

This is our second stop in just a few days here in Lodi, California. We started with their elevated tasting with friends whom we were introducing to Lodi wines. Everyone was highly impressed with Sue Tipton’s marvelous dry, minerally, Lucious French style white wines. We have been devout wine club groupies…er members, since we first discovered this white wine oasis is the red wine mecca of Lodi years ago. Sue knows what she’s doing as she crafts her incredible line up of whites every year. As you can see we highly recommend. Bonus, this a woman owned winery, with a woman winemaker and tasting room manager. Paul, the tasting room associate is also a treat!

Apparently reviews can be removed from Yelp because my review and all of my family members reviews have been removed from that platform… **Note: My original review says party of 10. I miscounted. We actually had less people.** Our group of 8 travelled to Lodi to go to this winery specifically along with a couple others. This was our first stop of the day arriving shortly after they opened. We did not make reservations online because their system would not allow us to. But their website and sign outside the winery said “walk in’s welcome” so we just showed up. Upon entering I noted multiple empty tables that would have surely accommodated all of us. We had no problem being split up. Before even saying hello we were then greeted with an immediate “Sorry we do not take large groups, and there are only 3 of us working, and it’s crumby outside so we can’t have you sit on the patio”. With a half empty room and a handful of people already served, we said we didn’t mind being split up. And the same excuses were given. So we just turned and left. Absolutely ridiculous. The 2 of the 3 people were not doing anything behind the bar, and one woman was setting up for a tasting at one of the tables of 2. While 3 large tables (table of 6,4,&4) sat open and available while we were turned away. Not to mention it was 70* with some light clouds. So idk where the weather excuse came from. An absolute joke. Extremely disappointed when we went out of our way to come here to start our day. If you do not take walk ins or large groups make that explicitly known. Or update your system to prepare for a group of 8. Which is really not asking a lot. My immediate family is a party of 6. Party of 8 shouldn’t be reaching for the stars and leave you incapacitated. Sincerely, someone who has worked in the service industry my whole life. Not that difficult. See photos for the actual weather that day shortly after we left Acquiesce. After being told the weather was “too crumby” to allow us to sit on the outside on the patio (which we did at every other winery we went to). Also see photo of the review they removed from Yelp.

We had planned for several weeks to go wine tasting and we had been wanting to try this place! Well, we never got the opportunity- as soon as we walked in, they declined to serve us because we were a party of 10. Mind you, it says on their website - and the sign outside- that walk-ins were welcome! Also, they weren’t even that busy. They had a few couples inside at the tables. There were several other tables open, including a six-top and several four-tops. We said we could split in two parties, but they still declined us. Wow. Unbelievable. We will never be back. Also, I posted a review on Yelp, and somehow they had it removed. I didn’t know you could do that on yelp, but my review is gone so therefore I did a second one.

Google
5/3/25 We had a party of nine and were told immediately upon entering that we were not welcome due to party size.... even though the sign says walk-ins welcome on the premises and on the website.. Just find somewhere else to go. There are a lot better wineries that were very welcoming without reservation.

Google
Not a friendly place!!. We were made to feel unwelcome. The place looks more like a shop building in a vineyard not a winery. There are so many better places to go like Viaggio or Oak Farm. DO NOT waste your time driving all the way out to this place!!

Google
We had dinner last night at a wine club release event here. Everything was perfect. The venue, the food, the wine, all outstanding. But most of all all the staff, the wine maker, the chefs and the owners were fantastic and showed wonderful hospitality towards all the guests. A great evening.

Google
This winery is absolutely worth a visit when in Lodi. Impeccable and interesting white wines with an incredible staff of friendly people and a perfectly on point food pairing. I almost always drink reds, but Acquiesce deepens my appreciation and appetite for a stellar white every time I taste their wines. Each time I visit I kick myself for not returning sooner. Don’t repeat my mistake, visit now 😊

Yelp
Definitely need a reservation. They pair their wine tastings with food. They wines are all white, they taste very good. Once you arrive they give you an hour to sample the wine at your own table. It was a great experience with my wife. Will be back with some friends on our next trip out this way.

Yelp
The food pairings are really great and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly! Definitely recommend this place! My favorites are the Granache Blanc, Ingenue, Sparkling Rose, Jolie! Love this place!!

Yelp
We enjoy the wine tasting/pairing that Acquiesce Winery offers. The food presentation is pleasing to the eye and the wine is easy to drink. The servers are knowledgeable in the explanations of their wines. Well done!

Kathe B.

Yelp
I met the winemaker at a Rhone wine event, and love their wines...they specialize in white Rhones. I work in a nearby winery and often suggest Acquiese when asked for recommendations. While I knew the wines, I had never actually been there. It is a terrific destination if you are in Lodi (they are actually in Acampo). You need to make a reservation, and they will prepare for your visit with pairings designed to complement the wines. An added bonus (for me) was to learn that the tasting room manager, Wendy, is a friend I had lost contact with! What a great visit!!!

Yelp
This winery was recommended to us by several people so excited to try them out. Nice property and easy to get to, a little on the outskirts of downtown Lodi. We heard they served "bites" with their wines so that was one thing that peaked our interest. Loved the artwork on display and a small assortment of foods for sale. Disappointed to find their $20 tasting fee would not be waived as all the previous wineries offered but thought we'd give it a try. Also they are the only winery not serving red wines, what? Lodi is famous for their red wines in particular their Zins, but hey we were committed. The "bites" were exactly that, looked fancy but not the best but went ok with the chilled whites which they've won awards for. We bought a couple items but no wine, we would have but, expensive tasting. Sorry won't be back but glad for the experience.

Yelp
This place is very fun! The little sample pairings are cute and a fun little date idea. I only have 4 stars because I wish they allowed animals, I understand this establishment serves food, but every winery I know of allows dogs and some encourage dogs.
google avatar

Yelp
What an awesome winery, still checking all the wineries out. So this one is woman owned ALL white wines from France. They do there tasting with a tasting which was incredibly fun and is always changing. If your looking for a truly unique experience. The ladies and gentlemen that helped us did a great job explaining the different notes that you might notice. Definitely going back!
google avatar

Yelp
If you like white wines, then this place is a must. I am a red wine person and my wife is a white wine drinker and she loves this place. She became a member so we go there 5 to 6 times a year. For me the wine is unique and they pair each wine with an appetizers so I don't mine going there with her.

Jim M.

Yelp
Wonderful wine. Also joined their wine club. Focus on white wines, great break from all the reds in Lodi.

Yelp
We had some friends from El Dorado Hills coming to visit for a day of wine tasting. We picked up the Official Visitor Guide to Lodi from the Visitor's Center in Lodi, and picked out Acquiesce Winery to start our day as one of our guests loves white wines! 4 of us walked in about 11:45 last Thursday and immediately were told that since we had no reservation, they would have to see if they could accommodate us...there were about 4 tables full, maybe 12 people total. We were told we might be able to sit outside but it was pointed out that it was getting warm out there. Then the person behind the bar said maybe she should explain their tasting and went on to say it was $20 per person, with small appetizer plates, tasting fee not waived with purchase...totally trying to discourage us from staying, WE LEFT! I don't know if their wines are good or bad, but customer service SUCKS! And since we won't ever return, I guess we'll never know! There is nothing in the Visitor's Guide about needing a reservation, it just says tasting Thurs-Sun: 11-5! You need to update your information in the guide so others won't make the same mistake as we did, and your staff needs a lesson in being nice!

Yelp
Did research for a romantic, & special experience. Acquiesce fit in that criteria perfectly. The wine is so wonderful, & new to us. Excellent! Tried wines we have never heard of. Fun to do this. Food pairings were positively superb. Give the chef a considerable raise! Delicious! Food enhanced the wine & visa versa. Lovely room & setting. The nice & friendly young woman that was our server, didn't dress like the winery's vibe of the elevated food pairings with the tasting. She was dressed in a shirt that was snug, a bit low & she bent over several times. The woman that checked us out was surly, bordering on flat out rudeness. Hopefully she was just have been having a very, very bad day, & we hope that she feels better soon. The joy & excitement we felt after the experience was diminished a bit & hopefully we'll catch her in a better frame of mind to deal with extremely happy people on our next visit. We will still come again, because the food & wine & tasting was so delicious & unique.

Yelp
The very best winery. Love everything about this winery. Best wines that are so uniquely delicious. Best pairing ideas! Wonderful people taking care of you. Just fabulous.

Riana B.

Yelp
Amazing service! Very welcoming staff. It is clear that everyone in the staff are very involved and passionate about the business. Amazing wine and food pairings! Before we tried them, Emily made sure to educate us about the wines and the food we were about to try. Went here for my boyfriend and I's anniversary, and the ambience matched the occasion perfectly!

Yelp
We were invited to attend a food pairing with 2 other couples, so a total of 6. Unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant experience. First, we had our four-legged little dogs in shoulder carriers and the second we walked in, we were told the dogs weren't allowed. Yes, that makes sense....so the group agreed we could go outside to experience our food pairing. We were told dogs weren't allowed out there either!! What??? This is the only place that we've visited that doesn't take dogs outdoors. We were allowed to park next to the building in the only shaded spot and ended up leaving our littles in the car. Thankfully, it wasn't too terribly hard. One of our friends is a member and he told us it was very challenging to get reservations for a party of 6 due to the small indoor space and them claiming to be busy. When we looked around, there were 3 or 4 open tables. We were told this winery is big on acceptance (two of the three couples are same sex couples and they display a gay flag), but I guess they aren't accepting of dogs in their outdoor area. Needless to say, we won't be going back.

Yelp
Great place if you enjoy white wines. The wines are crisp and unique. They do a great job pairing their wine with a small bite of food (amuse-bouche).

JL S.

Yelp
We visited Acquiesce based on a Lodi Wine TikTok and we were not disappointed! Their wine tasting and food pairing were exceptional so we joined their wine club. And the wine pick up party we attended was fun with good food and an acceptable volume level for their music for those of us who like to hear our friends talking to us. In the tasting room they have a display with local jellies for sale and their wine bottles with all of their awards and I loved looking at it. The bathroom is also nice!
google avatar

Yelp
Acquiesce was probably our favorite stop in Lodi and we joined the club to make note of it. Something unheard of is that they produce no red wines; not a Zinfandel in sight and they are not missed. They specialize in Rhone varieties and they are fantastic. Wines are crisp and clean and just lovely. Tastings are paired with a small unique bite for each wine and each is a match made in heaven. Some highlights: 2017 Clairette Blanche wow, just wow. It is sharp and floral and would compliment a variety of cheeses 2017 Viognier is another amazing wine with notes of citrus and peach it is crisp with the perfect balance of acidity 2017 Grenache Rose is just lovely with notes of strawberry and a solid finish Susan couldn't have been more welcoming and it was great hearing her story as to how Acquiesce came to be.

Yelp
COVID-related: I wore a mask into the tasting room, others didn't. The staff all wore masks, which I appreciated. Obviously masks off while tasting was fine. Indoors only (which was great for the chilly weather), as far as I could tell, in case that affects your decision to come or not. I stopped by Acquiesce on NYE, and while my experience wasn't majorly bad in any way, it also didn't stand out to me in any particular way. One plus was unexpected food pairings--maybe I missed that on their website (and I guess by divulging this info via this review, you won't have the surprise and delight of unexpected food--sorry, haha). The pairings were all nice, although I did feel like the black-eyed peas for NYE were a nice, intentional touch for the occasion but maybe a bit heavy for the 2019 Picpoul Blanc, which was lighter on my palate than I expected. I did buy a bottle of the 2019 Bourboulenc, since they said they were the first vineyard to grow this variety in the US. I did like the sharpness, and I picked up on some of the mango notes. I didn't find the 2020 Grenache Rose to stand out, although I am also not usually a rose drinker, and I did find the 2020 Grenache Blanc to be quite light-bodied, as advertised (although I struggled to pick up on the floral notes). The pours were all quite generous, which I appreciated! I will say I felt a bit awkward (both inherently, and by external atmosphere/vibe) going wine tasting here solo. I know it's usually a group activity, and the group next to me sounded like they were having a great time, bantering with the server. I was also looking for a place I could settle in read a book, and they were just busy enough that I didn't feel like that would be appropriate/didn't want to hog the table. I was curious if I could explore the grounds but didn't ask. I will note that Wendy was really nice and offered great service! Overall, if I'm in the mood for a white wine, I may stop by again, since I do appreciate a winery that specializes in something unique for the area, but it wouldn't be my first pick, generally.

Ashley U.

Yelp
Sad -- just learned that Acquiesce does not allow infants and children in their tasting room. This is literally the only establishment in multiple wine regions with this ridiculous policy. It's a shame, they have decent wine. But certainly nothing I'd hire a sitter to experience. They'd be smart to change the policy.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
Pros: - all white wine - smaller tasting room with intimate vibe - have pairing tasting Room for improvement: - nothing, they're doing exactly what they are aiming to do Vibe: - small, specialty winery, who focuses on the wine and simplicity of the tasting experience. No frill or extravagant things or events.

Yelp
They treat their wine club members poorly! The prices have gone up and the quality of customer service and quality of the wine have gone down. Staff was very unprofessional and very unpleasant. You are not in Napa and you do not have an endless supply of new people to be so rude to. The wine itself was disappointing as well. We all had to pay $10 fee each and were told we would get that back if we bought wine. That is a joke! We bought four bottles and still had to pay $20 fee! No reason to come back. They made our limo driver park out in the dirt on the side of a very narrow poor condition road and the four of us had to walk to the building.
google avatar

Mary B.

Yelp
So our first time here was three years ago and was semi ok. Owner/winemaker poured three tastings for us, each paired w small bite of food. That was fine but I didn't get warm fuzzy feeling from this place. Yesterday we tried it for a second time, and when we walked in we were told that we wouldn't be accommodated because we needed a reservation. Well there were about four tables open w no reservation noted and winery employee told we could come back another time. There won't be another time. There are way nicer more friendly wineries in Lodi and Acampo
google avatar

Jeremy R.

Yelp
Coming home on a lazy Sunday afternoon and we made an appt to do a wine tasting. We were wine club members and loved the wine. The problem we had was with the service. The wine room manager was rude. She refused to give us our wine club shipment, kept interrupting my wife, and certainly doesn't think the customer comes first. There seems to be an attitude of "it's your privilege to visit our wine room". There was no shouting or anything embarrassing occurring during this discussion. Incredibly, we received an email saying we were no longer welcome to the wine club or winery by the winery owners. Unfortunately, no discussion occurred to understand what happened. And no, we weren't drunk. First and only visit of the day. It's too bad that there is such a bad sour taste left in our mouths.
google avatar

Darien G.

Yelp
Stopped by this winery at the recommendation of one of the other Lodi wineries. The wife and I aren't normally into white wines but we were told that Acquiesce is an experience. Plus we really like Rhone varietals and since Acquiesce specializes in Rhone white we thought we would give them a shot. Well the wines certainly didn't disappoint. Each of the wines we tried came with a different food pairing that really did a good job of showcasing the wines. So why the bad review? Well after our tasting we weren't sure which wine we wanted to buy. The woman that handled our tasting went to handle another party and we were given over to another older, dark haired woman with glasses. When I asked her if we could revisit 3 of the wines we had previously tried, she said, "How about 1?" Really? What do I look like some college kid that's just trying to get a buzz? The reason I asked to try 3 wines is because of the 6 or so we tried, I was having trouble deciding between those 3. She eventually relented and let us try all 3 and I ended up buying a bottle of the Belle Blanc. But the overall experience was tainted by that lady trying to be stingy with the wine.
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
My wife and I were in Lodi picking up wine at a few wineries we are members at and Acquiesce was recommended. I am glad we gave them a try. The winery has amazing wines. They have a few varietals that are on the rarer side. They are lesser known, but are very good. The employees are friendly and it is obvious that they love their job. They talk with passion and pride. The owner was not there, however she was spoken of very highly. The wines were so so good that my wife and I had to become members. If you are looking for a smaller, casual setting with fantastic wine come here.
google avatar

Bruce B.

Yelp
Excellent tasting of wonderful white wines. Excellent service at the tasting bar with perfect paring with wonderful things. This is a diamond! I have this great spot bookmarked.
google avatar

Elizabeth Z.

Yelp
We loved this winery. It is so lovely and off the beaten track. The wines are delicately distinct! You won't find any oak here, the wines are steel barreled! We did the tasting then got glasses of wine and sat out on their back patio! We bought some crackers and the ladies comped us some Manchego! We are members now and cannot wait to go to the release party in April! Thank you Acquiesce for the service and lovely wines. Such a great discovery! Also, alot of the reviewers here express malcontent over the no minors, no dogs policy. I have to say that I appreciate and have both dogs and children. This winery would not be on the list if we are doing a family outing and that is fine with me. I appreciate an all adult environment when I am out with adults. It makes for a relaxing and serene time. This is not unusual nor egregious. Many wineries in other regions have similar policies. I hope people give this place a try. It is worth it, in my opinion.

David S.

Yelp
One of the worst wineries in the Lodi/Acampo area. The service especially by the owner was extremely rude and she was very condescending. I would recommend staying away from this place when wine tasting in this area. There are many other very nice wineries with much better wine and definitely better attitudes

Rebar M.

Yelp
It's a nice pouring room, the wine is ok, but with so many better wineries in the Lodi area, I'd say skip this one. The pourers are not the most friendly, bordering on flat out rude. The pours are ok, and they do sometimes extend the number you can try, but over all, just not worth the trip.
google avatar

Laura K.

Yelp
They treat their wine club members with disdain. Canceled wine club and NEVER coming back. In sum: no babies, no dogs, no groups over 6 people, no picnics, no fun (probably no LGBT either because the old stuffy women there also seemed overtly hostile to our LGBT guests.) We have been here for tasting before many times and were founding wine club members since the winery opened. The wines were ok but nothing to write home about. We kept the wine club only to have white wine on hand but you can get less expensive and better-quality white wine at Total Wine. As the prices have crept up and the quality of customer service and quality of the wine have gone down, we have considered quitting the wine club. However, over the years, we have enjoyed bringing many friends, family, and business associates here to entertain, so we held on to an increasingly poor-performing wine club. We came back today with our guests visiting from the east coast, and the service was incredibly rude and condescending! And now they don't allow anyone under 21, including babies. They're treating it like a bar, not a winery. We have been wine tasting all over the west coast and all over Europe to much nicer more expensive wineries and NEVER experienced this kind of treatment before. Lodi is supposed to be family friendly and laid back. To top it off, the winery was completely empty! There was no point to their rude demeanor. It's like they don't even want people to visit and buy wine anymore. Because of their customer service, we will not be coming back and canceled our wine club membership. We have 7 wine clubs and this was at the bottom of the list anyway, so thank you Acquiesce for saving us cellar space.

Sherbandale B.

Yelp
If you love white wines, you must visit here. White wine nirvana! And small bites paired with the wines. Just wow!
google avatar

Kelsey M.

Yelp
I honestly NEVER write reviews, but this one was deserved. My husband and I walked in this afternoon with our son so we could do a quick tasting. As soon as we walk in, the woman behind the counter tells us that no one under 21 is not allowed inside (our son is 7). Why do they claim to be kid friendly (as shown) if this is a "rule "? As someone who has worked in establishments that serve alcohol for years, I've never seen patrons turned away because they have kids with them. I could understand if we were trying to sneak alcohol to someone underage, but our son was literally going to sit at a table with us and play while we tried their wines. She then had the audacity to tell us to "come back" as if we were going to come back to an establishment that turned down business that seems to (from other reviews I've read) pick and choose which patrons they prefer to serve.

Joseph M.

Yelp
I just went there on 07/11/2021, good vibes, cool spot, & great staff especially how they set a food pairing with the tasting, amazing white wines BTW, Wendy was totally awesome!!!!
google avatar

Natalie T.

Yelp
Can only take party of 6. Which is bullshit because we had 7 people and 2 weren't drinking. They should post that online if they can't do that. In reality lady turned us away because we are in our late 20s. Will NEVER come here.

Bonnie J.

Yelp
I just love Acquiesce. Wines are amazing. I liked every one. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The pairings are top-notch. It is such a classy and delicious experience every time. If you enjoy white wines, this is a must try!
google avatar

Nateron M.

Yelp
We have been to Acquiesce a few times since moving to Lodi and it's always a great experience. Right in the middle of what seems to be red wine country their flights of all white wines is fun and different. The wine by itself is worth visiting for but they also pair it with a small bite that really brings out the flavor and makes this a even more interesting experience. The team there has always been nice and welcoming and the vibes are relaxed and fun. We really enjoy each trip we take to Acquiesce.
google avatar

Rachel R.

Yelp
Wine and snack pairings are fun, however, a little disappointed they are not dog friendly anymore, especially considering there is no sign saying so and multiple other wineries in the area are dog friendly. Also, the employee was a little snooty when she told us no dogs allowed. Oh well. Plenty of other wineries with better wine, nicer staff and who are dog friendly. Maybe they can get a sign with all of their new rules like this

Carol J.

Yelp
We love Acquiesce Winery. We even joined their wine club right on the spot because we were so impressed with them. My only issue, if that's what you want to call it, they don't comp tastings even if you buy a case of wine! I just don't think that's good business. I understand not wanting to hand out free wine and then the person or person's don't buy anything. Even if you had a two bottle minimum to get your tasting comp would be better than no comp at all. Most Napa places have that and we don't go there anymore because of that along with too many people, the attitudes, the traffic etc... anyway, comping a tasting with a 2 or even 3 bottle minimum, whatever covers your cost, would be much better than no comp at all. BUT THE WINE IS WONDERFUL.
google avatar

Luke S.

Yelp
Love their white wines! FYI- They only make white wines and a rosè. I tasted the Viognier a while back and decided to go check out the winery and glad I did. They sold out of all their wine and 11/12/17 is their last day they're open until March! The grounds are small but nice and; I look forward to going back next year. My favorite is the Viognier as it just has a great smell and taste that's very refreshing. Plus, it won best Viognier in California! This is definitely a nice little pit stop or great place to start your wine tasting. What is also a nice bonus is that they pair each wine with a complementary cracker with cheese etc.
google avatar

Linda L.

Yelp
Lovely tasting experience. We left with two bottles of Grenache Rose and one Clairette Blanche.
google avatar

Mary H.

Yelp
Giving three stars because the wine was delicious and our server, Norma, was great. Could have had five stars but they were totally unaccommodating to larger parties. It says they don't take parties of 7 and we asked if we could split up and were told no. Which is crap because nobody else was there. We will not be coming back simply because of the customer service and inability to accommodate a family outing.
google avatar

Graciela M.

Yelp
No doubt we have been experiencing some very unusual times!!! We had a wonderfully accommodating time at the winery recently. The staff was genuinely serviceable and informative. It is one of our favorite wineries & we hope it continues to provide quality wine & a friendly welcoming staff. Kudos to Sue, the owner

Yelp
To be fair I tend to yelp review when I am moved to, based both on positive as well as negative. I mean this to be constructive, as I actually really enjoyed the wines and appreciate the idea of all unique whites. I went to an event at this winery (tickets were $25) based on the presentation on their website reading as though upscale hor d'oeuvres especially paired with the release would be passed. Sounded awesome. For the first hour the hor d'oevres were set on a table that was rushed by patrons and therefore impossible to get. Then the last portion of the event they WERE passed, but it wasn't a selection of four, we just got the same little bite over and over again. The wine was good. The non-club price point was $55. For that price point I'll go grab a bottle of Veuve, frankly. It's too high a price point for 1) a sparkling wine and 2) for this area. But he glass was actually pretty cool. So I thought, well at least for $25 I got a cool glass, because every other winery I've been to events at lets you keep the glass. Not here. They followed me out and snatched it from my hand like I was a thief....maybe let us keep the glass so we are incentivized to come back. For now, I'll pass.

Yelp
OMG. A diamond in the middle of red wine country. All their wines are amazing. Love how they offer small pairings with their wine tasting. Can't wait for them to open back up for wine tasting.

Yelp
Came with a group of wine club members today, treated like we were scum. Talked to like we were "lesser than thou" and as if we didn't belong. Last I checked, Lodi is the less pretentious version of Napa. Check yourself Acquiesce-you are losing business for your foolish rules and ideals. Oh...and to the 3 ladies working on 7/28/2019-learn some manors. Your blatant lack of common customer service and problem solving skills is vile. Someone should send a copy of an etiquette book to all of you....

Yelp
Very unique for a Lodi winery in that they only do white wines (no zins or petite syrahs here). They do not take big groups cuz they do a pairing with each tasting - great way to really understand and enjoy the wines! Took my wife and mother-in-law here for Mother's Day and they loved it. Loved the pace, loved the wines, loved the atmosphere. We bought a couple of the Grenache Blanc's and Clairette Blanche's. Will be back and will join the wine club - just need to drop one of our others to take this one on.

Yelp
This was my third visit with my friend, who was a previous wine club member. We brought no food, no children and no dogs, as we were previously informed by others that they were no longer allowed. When we walked in, we noticed two empty tables and one pair of chairs that were open. We were preparing to sit at an empty table and were told by staff we could not sit there as a larger group could come in and need those four chairs. While we were there, however, no one came to sit at that table. We then informed the staff we would sit at the two chair area and staff said we could not sit there either because staff informed "we would have no place to put the food pairings." It makes no sense that the tasting room has a 2-chair seated area that won't allow you to use to sit down and taste. The staff informed that we needed to stand at the bar. I was ready to walk, but my friend wanted to taste and perhaps buy. We informed the staff we had been there multiple times and knew about the wine. On one of the pourings, the staff poured wine into my friend's glass, which already had a different wine in it. This shows that she was not paying attention to our pours. Then she asked my friend of she still wanted to finish the rest of the previous wine, which she did. We both liked a few of the wines as we have previous purchased earlier vintages. However coupled with their new policies, which are outlined on an outdoor sign, along with not being allowed to sit at empty tables and chairs, we both prefer to give money to a winery that is more inviting to its customers and encourages a relaxing tasting experience.

Yelp
Great place in the Lodi AVA to pick up white wines. They are not just flabby and sweet. These wines have structure and varietal correctness that rival any white you can find in this area. The clones are selected to imitate the rhone varietals from the south of France, but they also have a truly distinctive Lodi touch that makes thewines both a tribute to their heritage and also distinct to the terroir. Truly lovely white wine in Zinfandel Country.

Yelp
Came with a party of 7. Read their sign outside but proceeded in with one person saying he would not taste. We are told we would not be allowed. We saw several empty tables for 4 so we offered to split 3 & 4. She still said no! We didn't understand the rudeness. Will not be back. Plenty of other hospitable wineries. Too bad, as we we're all planning on purchasing.

Yelp
No dogs no food no children and no fun allowed. Staff didn't know how to handle a bottle of sparkling. The wine itself was disappointing. No reason to come back or visit.
