"A sleek and stylish trattoria — whose name roughly translates to “mouthwatering” — Acquolina shares a true taste of Roma (former owner Luigi Giordani’s native city). The in-depth menu covers all the essentials: antipasti, insalate, ministre, paste, secondi, and contorni, plus a long list of pizzas that are wood-fired to perfection in an imported oven. Though the restaurant was acquired by Aspen Hospitality Group in 2021, culinary director chef Jason Franey aims to keep Acquolina true to its roots. The restaurant also has one of the best bars in town (locals call it the “Sistine Chapel of liquor”), with seemingly infinite shelves lined with international spirits." - Katie Shapiro

"Sometimes you just need a pretty-good, upscale-yet-not-too-fancy Italian restaurant that can easily accommodate groups. With a list of almost 20 pastas, shareable thin-crust pizzas, chicken milanese, and so on, Acquolina is always a solid bet." - Hillary Reinsberg

Google
Relatively “cheap” Italian food in Aspen. $33 for a small plate of delicious spaghetti and meatballs isn’t a bad deal in this expensive tourist town. The food was quite filling for such tiny portions though. I was not disappointed at all. Highly recommend to those looking for a late night Italian dinner. We walked in around 8pm without reservations and only had a short 5 minute wait to be seated. It was crowded inside. Staff were super friendly and service was quick. I do recommend reserving a time slot if you know for sure you will be eating here. But it seemed like walk ins were mostly accommodated. Great little local restaurant with decently priced dinners relative to the rest of Aspen.

A go-to local spot in Aspen. Perfect for any occasion. I never come here without going. Everything, but the pizza specifically is literally some of the best I’ve had ever- cravable. Trust. Cozy atmosphere, always incredibly welcoming service. Insane wine list. Highly recommend! Do not sleep on this special spot.

The atmosphere here was nice and you could feel it was a good restaurant. I had the pappardelle with lamb ragù and the pasta was so fresh. The meat and the flavors were tasty. The only bad thing was when they asked what water we wanted and we asked for Fiji water. They came with a bottle and with one more when that one was empty. We didn’t ask for more water and felt we were tricked into paying for two 10 dollar bottles. I wished they would have told us before. Otherwise overall good experience. Not so many vegetarian options, wish for more.

Google
Absolutely perfect! This is now on our list of the best Italian restaurants forever. The food, environment, service, and drinks were absolutely outstanding. The food was very well served and presented with different herbs, sauces, and more to make it look like art. The taste was perfect; for example, the crème was perfect. The sugar on top was just hard enough to add a bit of crunch and still be able to melt in your mouth. The Veal Scaloppine was also very delicious, with a refreshing taste to balance out the rich, smooth fried calamari. The best calamari we’ve ever had as well. The service was very cohesive and well timed; when you finish the food in front of you quite quickly, a runner takes your plate and replaces it. Absolutely fantastic overall and highly recommended for anyone looking for a great experience. 9/10

Google
Really nice Italian-style restaurant, the appetizers were great and tasty, the entrees were good... the drinks were great!

Google
Lots of options of cocktails, appetizers and entrees. Multiple vegetarian options. Capra pizza was uniquely delicious. Nice music selection playing in background. Fast service. Overall, an enjoyable Italian restaurant in the heart of downtown Aspen.

Google
After reading the reviews is was skeptical. But I like to make my own decisions. Me and my family went here for dinner and it was great. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were big. Service was also on point. The only thing I would say is change the music to Italian or something more soothing and dim the lights a little. Other than that it was top notch.

Everything was beyond amazing here. The bartender was the best, and he recommended some amazing whiskeys. The owner stopped by to ask how everything was tasting, and we felt like part of the family here. Would definitely recommend!!!!

Yelp
This is an example of an Italian restaurant that wants to present itself as authentic, but falls short in several ways. First, the absolute tacky nightclub music needs to go. It doesn't match the ambiance in the least. Second, the extremely inflated menu prices. Yes, it's Aspen, but the food is basic in taste and presentation. There are a lot of opinions on when to serve bread or not but, this is an Italian restaurant in the US and bread is customary regardless of the dish served. This was absent from our meal. Third, the service is satisfactory, but not what I would expect when the average entree is priced at $40. Our server was eager upon our arrival and his level of attention quickly waned as time passed. Fourth, the wine list. Very pretentious to have a $7,000 bottle of wine on the list. No one will buy that, but if it makes you feel better, leave it be. My wife and I do well in life, but we are not reckless with our money like this place wants us to be.

Yelp
The the food is excellent. Drinks were great. I must try when you're in Aspen . Great experience sitting at the bar..

Gino T.

Yelp
Food was definitely above average, but not exceptional, as compared to "big city" Italian restaurants. Having said that, we'd return, as every dish was very respectable, as were portion sizes. Noise level was moderate, and atmosphere was pleasant.

Ed D.

Yelp
I like the decor but the ambiance was strange. We dined there on a Saturday night and it was jamming top 40 pop music when there was so many older generation clientele and the music was pretty loud. It was just strange to have that loud of music in a nice setting. Anyways, we had the mussels for appetizer and it was so good, especially the sauce that it was in. It tasted more like soup so I drank it like it was soup. I had the chicken Milanese and it was also very tasty. My friend had the Bucatini but honestly it tasted like spaghetti with thick noodle...although tasty as well. She also had the barrel aged negroni cocktail which was delicious. Prices were expensive but everything in Aspen is expensive. Service was exceptional.

Eric K.

Yelp
Exceptional food and service. Aspen's best bar for dinner. Best Italian food in Aspen.

Dickson G.

Yelp
For a last minute reservation this place was fine. The music is loud enough that you think you're at a rave. We were pretty sure that the bread and pizza came straight from Costco, but at least the arugula salad was good. Like I said - Fine. Just don't expect a quiet or gourmet meal.

Scott B.

Yelp
Sure, Aspen is one expensive place to visit, and Acquolia won't change your mind about that! It's expensive, but so is every restaurant in the town. I mean, I live in NYC, which is expensive... but not THIS expensive. But what can you do? Prices are what they are in Aspen, and that's just the way it goes. Therefore, for this review, I'm going to put talk of prices aside (although many of the other reviewers have not) and focus on the rest of the experience. First off, let's begin with the service. On the night of my visit, service was impeccable! From the host, to the waiter, to the food runner. Everyone was on their toes and super personable. As for food and drinks, everything was fantastic. Some of the standouts included: - Fried Calamari (with artichokes and zucchini) - wow; what a flavor explosion. The jalea-like dish was fantastic, and there was plenty to serve 2-3 people as an appetizer. Also, both the aioli and marinara sauces that accompanied the dish were super tasty. - Rollini - OMG this appetizer was stellar! Get this for sure. It's kind of like a tubular-shaped calzone with mushrooms and smoked mozzarella (served with an arugula and parmesan salad). I was definitely blown away by this dish and definitely want to learn how to recreate it at home. - Fusilli pasta - Another A+ dish for sure! This one featured artichokes, leeks, wild mushrooms, garlic, ricotta, and olive oil. It was more "light" in nature and very tasty. As for drinks, they were all really good. I started off with an Old Fashioned and then went on to wine with my dinner. Bottom line: This place is super good. If you are in Aspen, try to check this place out (but put price out of your head).

Cynthia F.

Yelp
Food good, basic. Very busy, but timely service with a reservation. Till I got my credit card bill and saw that someone added a "1" to my tip, making it a $180 tip on a $400 bill, instead of $80. Called, emailed - no response. I disputed the charge and they didn't object, making it obvious this happened. So dine at your own risk. I'd avoid all Aspen restaurants owned by this company.

Happy G.

Yelp
I can't believe this place has such poor reviews. We've been coming here for years and have had wonderful food and service every time.

Brittany W.

Yelp
Terrible service, we sat for 30 minutes before a waiter even came over to take our drink order, would have been longer if we hadn't asked the girl pouring our water to send one over. Two other tables that were sat after us got their food before we even got drinks. Unacceptable at that price point. The food is mediocre at best, way overpriced for what it is and there are tons of other options in town. The bread that came with the burrata was stale, the wine was borderline price gouging, and the service was horrendous. Skip it and go to casa tua or one of the other 1,000 Italian restaurants in town.

Kyle W.

Yelp
Gluten Free Guy (Celiac) Look, the lamb chops and the gluten free bread had me locked in on a 5 star. They were stupendous ... highly recommend. Fries great too. I would not recommend getting the GF pasta here. I've had great and terrible GF pasta, this was somewhere in the lower quintile, clams were great though. Stick to meat if you have celiac disease. Ambiance, service A+.

Diana B.

Yelp
We had a business meeting. Wait staff was a little too attentive (we were talking and not looking at menus yet) but rather too attentive than not! We shared the salad with bacon, ordered a bottle of wine, and each had an entree (eggplant parm, seafood pasta, ravioli). No complaints by anyone. We sat indoors. All in all a pleasant dinner.

Paige L.

Yelp
We enjoyed the sleek atmosphere at the bar in this restaurant. We had delicious food and lovely service! Our bartender was Kaden (not sure of the spelling) and he was very helpful and fun to talk to. He did a nice job of striking the balance between joking around with us and letting us have our space. We ordered ciabatta bread that was warm from the oven and served with wonderfully salty butter. We got the burrata appetizer which was delicious! We then shared a salad with baby greens, apples, candied walnuts (not TOO sugary like they so often are) and a stilton-y cheese. It was so lightly and perfectly dressed. We split the prosciutto pizza and it was DELICIOUS! In short, I would definitely come back here and 10% recommend it to anyone visiting Aspen. It was expensive but not as much as some other places. It was totally worth it.

Mace M.

Yelp
Food is always great but for some reason they want to play music so loud you feel like you are in a Euro Club.....they don't know their audience. Plenty of other restaurants where the ambience is as it should be......same for Angelo's as well.

Mike T.

Yelp
The one thing I can say about this place was the ambience was very beautiful from the lights outside to the decorations and the bar inside. I do however think it was a little overrated I've had pasta way better millions of places I wasn't a fan. The one thing I can see with the drinks were incredible but the food even the calamari wasn't a hit it was a little soggy wish it was more crispy. My pasta tasted very heavy didn't have a lot of flavor wish it was more creamy but it felt very grainy.

Yixiao Y.

Yelp
Not sure what the bad reviews are about! Boyfriend took me here during our Aspen trip and I have nothing but compliments for this place. The truffle ravioli special was absolutely phenomenal and the regular pappardelle was just as delicious. (Not pictured) we also had some burrata appetizer with bread that was equally amazing. Service was great, and I really enjoyed Aspen rich moms' fashion show here too. :) I did accidentally overhear other guests who sat right next to us complain about their Caesar salad tasting worse than grocery store ones, but why on earth are you ordering Caesar salad at an authentic Italian restaurant? It's "Trattoria & Pizzeria", not "Sweetgreen", sir.

Ric S.

Yelp
I got terribly sick from food poisoning at Aquolina on the night of 9/21, Wednesday. My dinner was the grilled salmon, usually a safe choice. It took over 24 hours for me to recover. I have reported this to the Putin County Health Department.

Taylor K.

Yelp
Okay wow , just wow . They had me at the bread honestly. I was shocked. How can a restaurant have such good break and tomatoes. I usually hate tomatoes and won't eat them, but these tomatoes were just different. Juicy, fresh and flavorful - like wow this was just different. I didnt expect to have good Italian food in Colorado but I really really did tonight. I ordered a side of brussel sprouts and they were good- would have personally perferred them more soft and less crunchy but no harm no foul. The water really just taste different here too. Don't ask me how or why because I have no idea. The linguine was as good as I had hope. Too bad I was too full to finish it, but the seafood was just perfect. Fresh and soft, and the flavor went together delightfully. I couldn't have had a better dinner to end my 2nd day in Aspen.

Matt W.

Yelp
Went to a wedding rehearsal dinner here - the food was great, the atmosphere was warm but lively, and the service was excellent. Specifically want to thank Virginia who saw my wife and I trying to eat while tending to our 1-year old and she came up to us saying how much she loves kids/babies and offered to walk him around for a bit while we ate our entrees. Such kindness, and such an above-and-beyond disposition that had a huge impact on our night. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Jerod C.

Yelp
I'm visiting from The Bay Area, so my Italian and seafood standards are very high. The food was good, not great, but the staff was amazing. The bartender actually told us not to order one appetizer because he didn't think I'd enjoy it given where I was coming from. The bar is extremely well stocked, we sat at the bar to eat and enjoyed talking to the bartender who was very friendly. If you want a more casual dinner that isn't $$$$ then I'd recommend it.

P G.

Yelp
$137 USD for one beer, house wine and two smaller entrees. Decent food but very very over priced

Vince I.

Yelp
Rushed us through the dinner. When we wanted to order desert they said they needed the table and we could wait for a seat at the bar. Food is average quality and overpriced even for aspen.

Daniel G.

Yelp
Acquolina is priced like the best restaurants in town. The price point comparison is Casa Tua, yet Acquolina isn't in the same universe of restaurant quality as Casa Tua. $50 Veal Scalopini of which you receive possibly 5 tasteless ounces (Casa Tua's is one of the greatest dishes I have ever had). The $35 spaghetti and meatballs were of the quality and taste of a frozen dinner. ~20% service fee included for takeout. If Acquolina was priced at $30-40 per person per meal, the restaurant could make sense on paper. However, when you are looking at $100 for takeout for one person, there is not a single worse restaurant in the entire town of Aspen. Needs a rebrand to Olive Garden and prices need to be cut in half. I have no clue how there are any five star reviews for this place... please try Casa d' Angelo or Casa Tua, pay similar prices, then return to Acquolina for some perspective on what roughly $100 per person Italian should be. Acquolina reminds me of Jing in a certain aspect: overpriced relative to the direct competitors (Casa Tua and Matsuhisa), but Jing is great because it is truly a blast of an experience every time you go and the food is still terrific. Both the ambiance and the food are anemic at Acquolina. Acquolina is small town Midwest Italian; absolutely nothing wrong with that, can be very enjoyable, but everything is wrong with that at their current prices. One of the few restaurants I have ever eaten at where I feel truly annoyed and ripped off every time I get dragged in even when I am not the paying guest.

Skylar S.

Yelp
I love Acquolina. My personal favorite is the gnocchi, as it makes you feel like you are eating clouds. In the summer, they have a truffle menu that is life changing. Truffle left and right, which is always fresh and ample- they're never stingy. I have tried so many pastas - the garganelli, the bolognese gnocchi, the CACIOEPEPE, the carbonara, and more, and none have disappointed. The pasta is significantly better than the pizza though. The food is expensive, but that's how Aspen is - it's on par for the town. The staff is nice, and they're very attentive. Strong recommend for Italian in Aspen!

Paula L.

Yelp
I wish this place had more stars and ranked higher on Yelp. It was recommended by the people from Aspen Tap --who have great pizza as well. The service was excellent. Our server was from Rumania and was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The appetizers were excellent, especially the olives and cheese. The minestrone was also light and flavorful. Get the pizza. We had Margherita and Fungi, and they were perfectly crispy. I would come back in a heartbeat.

Harriet M.

Yelp
Was very disappointed in this meal the chicken Parmesan had no taste the veal scallopini also was tasteless we ordered a Mushroom pizza $24 I asked the waitress if they could make it gluten free she said no problem but never mention that it would be an additional $10 charge really $10 extra to change the crust that's unheard of I've been all over the world and nobody charge that much for changing the crust There was no mention from the waitress or on the menu that would be additional $10 charge !!! then we asked to have the bills split between each couple that we wanted to pay our own bill (that's something I just can't do she said !!the waitress!! ) I Ask for the manager he did come over and said he would do the bill just let him know how much we want to put on each check when Ck was given to us waitress Viviana ( Arrogant and didn't feel like she want to making us a happy customer) . Said she can't do that I had to call the manager over again to get the situation taken care of ( which he did take care of ) this was not a pleasant experience !!!

Chloe P.

Yelp
The pasta wasn't the best because the tomato sauce was store bought. The stuff it was supposed to come with was very little. Although the mushroom rollatini was pretty good. The service was was good and was timely. The prices are over the roof though. I got a olives with some cheese and it was $18 and they weren't warm or herbed. The ambience was overall a good experience, if it was priced better then I would consider going back for a casual dinner

Cayla T.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would. My significant other and I drove from Denver to go to a show at Belly Up. We were looking for a place to eat and our friend actually suggested this place. We showed up a little after 5 and the whole restaurant is basically empty. The server comes by and wastes time giving us the specials, I am familiar with this at nice restaurants but this is important for the next part. We are already in a hurry to get to the show (why we didn't want sparking or tap water) and ironically we give our app order and he rudely tells us we need to order our whole meal at once- that the kitchen is busy with two tables in the restaurant... He then proceeds to walk away and not come back? Curious if they are so busy and need us to leave so quickly, why he didn't give us time to give our full order. I understand that we weren't dressed extremely nice (because we are going to Belly Up) but we have paid over $600 for meals before. Dining at Tavernetta, Wolf's Taylor, etc. Don't judge people by what they look like. It's extremely rude and honestly a bit hurtful. Even if we didn't look the part, money still spends the same and this place wasn't THAT expensive...

Edward H.

Yelp
Aspen prices Glenwood springs service and quality. So many other great restaurants in aspen. And Anna the hostess is rude. Also I believe the person that had food poisoning on 9/21. We smelled a foul salmon plate being served to the table next to us. Avoid.

Jason H.

Yelp
Watch out for their newly installed "prepaid reservation" on Opentable. Acquolina demand $190 (or $95 per person) in advance to secure an OpenTable reservation and even bill your card before you get there. And they just so happen to conveniently "forget" the nearly $200 you have already paid them when they present your bill at the end of your meal. And given every reservation had to pay this fee, it is somewhat hard to believe that this was somehow overlooked when every single reservation had to pay it. And after a few drinks at Christmas, I am sure I wasn't the only customer that got caught by this. And truth be told, this restaurant is not that good, and a pretty average Italian restaurant for the educated consumer. And when compared to the quality of its peers in Aspen, somewhat overpriced to boot. I would never, ever choose to come back to Acquolina when I have the choice of Betula, Duemani or Casa Tua. Those are the 'good' Italian restaurants in Aspen. And hands down, this is not one of them. So for me, it's a never again. Bye.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
This place should have 5 stars , no doubt about that. The food and drinks were great, we got the carbonara and pappardelle pastas, both soooo good! Our service was excellent, starting with the hostess! Our server was very kind and attentive as well, I believe her name is Lizzie. Overall a great experience!

Arnaud F.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our dining experience. - Service was attentive and excellent. - Sommelier (from Macedonia) was super-friendly and guided us in the right direction. - We had the Burrata and carpaccio starters. The former was huge! Both excellent. - The veal parmesan was divine (and huge) according to my dining partner. - I had the lamb chops... absolutely wonderful. This was one of three restaurants we tried in Aspen. The was the winner!

Lara S.

Yelp
I will start off with saying that the food is good and there wasn't one thing bad about it, service was also very good and all the staff was very helpful. With all that said the only thing that bugged me that it was very overpriced for the food we had as my group of 3 ordered a chicken Milanese, chicken Parmesan and a chorizo pizza now the food was great but for what it was the food was overpriced.

carling d.

Yelp
I wish I could give less than a one star review. I booked a dinner at this restaurant. I had to leave Aspen at the last minute to get back to Louisiana to help protect my house and family as Hurricane Ida threatened to strike. I called to cancel the reservation and was informed I would be charged $75 per head for missing the reservation and l not canceling within 24 hours. I can understand charging someone who no shows but this is a joke. Believe me I'd much rather be having dinner in Aspen right. Is. Do yourself a favor. If you have any concern that you may have a medical or family emergency or say a natural disaster hit your hometown, don't book a reservation.

Rachel L.

Yelp
Service has become pitiful. The food is not worth the horrible treatment by staff and management. After years of dining I won't be back. Aspen has much better service and treatment to customers offered elsewhere. Thanks for ruining our special occasion.

Sona A.

Yelp
Let me start by saying I had called a couple days in advance to make reservations for my parents' 40th anniversary. They had taken note and mentioned they would be sure to give us a great table by the window to celebrate and do something a little extra to mark the occasion. We get there at 8pm promptly for our reservations only to be told they don't have that seating at the moment and will try to get us whatever table is next available. The man at the front very rudely says we are not guaranteed tables and will have to wait. Ok fine so already not off to a great start. Another man walks by, the manager I assume, and upon hearing what's going on, offers our family a glass of wine while we wait. I made the mistake of not bringing an ID (though I'm 30 years old and very clearly of drinking age...) but the man refuses to serve me even though I have a picture of my passport and my parents are literally telling him I'm 30. Fine I can understand they're super strict so I let it go. But the experience doesn't get better from there. Despite our 8pm reservations, we are not seated until 8:30. The table is great though so we are happy enough and begin looking through the menu. The waiter comes by and takes everyone's drink orders except mine. Does not even look my way and after taking my family's orders, literally does not even wait a moment for me and walks away. So when he finally returns to take the appetizers and main courses order I make sure he also brings me some tea. The appetizers do not show up until 9pm, a full hour after when we go have our reservations. But the food is amazing so we overlook the tardiness and enjoy the garlic bread and fornarina. When we get our main courses at 9:30, they completely screw up my dad's order, bringing him veal instead of chicken. We let the busboy know it was the wrong order and he presumably goes back in to tell our waiter, who doesn't even bother returning to apologize. He doesn't come to apologize for giving us the wrong order or to even check if the food is ok. The man literally doesn't come back out to check on us once after he had taken our food orders at 8:40. Which was so rude considering we had seen him check on the other patrons around us multiple times through the night. Not a single stop by our table. I would be remiss not to point out we were also the only family at the restaurant who were not white. I would truly hope this has nothing to do with the atrocious service we received, but it did cross my mind once or twice. At the end of the night, after having not bothered coming over to our table since taking our orders, the waiter brings us a $220 check. Still no apology for mixing up my father's order (we never got the chicken)... He literally tosses the check on the table and leaves. Despite me having told them this was a special occasion we were celebrating, we have been subjected to the worst dining experience of my life. I have never before been treated in such a terrible way at a "fine" restaurant where you are paying over $200 for 2 apps and 4 main courses. I don't expect much coming from writing this review, but I do hope if the managers of this "fine" restaurant happen to stumble upon it, that they use it as feedback for change. Upon returning to our hotel after dinner, we made sure the concierge and front desk were made aware of the experience. Our hotel concierge, who had initially recommended this restaurant to us for a celebratory dinner, declared they will stop sending hotel patrons to this restaurant in future. So even if these restaurant folks don't change their tune, at the very least, they will never get our hotel's recommendation in future.

Tracie C.

Yelp
What an excellent dinner last nightl!!! I usually read and go by reviews.......but we're happy we didn't this time. We were hungry and didn't want to find a place. The food was outstanding. A little pricey, but this is Aspen, but well worth it. The apps were great; caprese was good but loved their charcuterie board. We ordered a pizza; thin crust and delicious, salmon...great and perfectly cooked but the Pappardelle was probably the best pasta dish we've ever eaten. And my husband is Italian. Everyone on the table had to try it. Just a unique flavor with the cream and cinnamon. Not sure about it at first until that first bite. The lamb ragú was the perfect paring with that sauce. Our waiter was excellent and the staff attentive. 100% would recommend this Italian restaurant. We will be back when back in Aspen.

Tony G.

Yelp
Since the new owners took over this place is terrible. Overcooked pasta, loud music, increased prices and not great waiters. I am sad. If the owners want me to take this down, let's me know u will improve the gem of a place it used ri be.

Diana P.

Yelp
I wish I had read more reviews before I booked this. We went based on the recommendation of a friend. It is definitely a three star restaurant. Pros Very walkable from the St Regis. Near other place for a night cap. Coat check. Very professional and attentive staff. The menu is fairly extensive. The pasta was al dente. Cons The decor is outdated and kitschy. The music is so weird. It sounds like the soft techno electronica on Pandora. The wine by the glass is pricey as in normal for Aspen, but I had a 16$ Pinot that was just bad. The food was mediocre at best. They have those hard little crunchy bread sticks on the table. You have to order Italian bread (8$)if you want any. To me that is just a staple in an Italian restaurant and should be part of the service. That and paper placemats should have given me a clue. We started with the anelli. The zucchini was limp, there were two tiny slivers of artichoke, and I had a couple of pieces of calamari that were fishy. The whole dish is as greasy and also small. We had the carbonara pasta and the veal scallopine. Both were fairly flavorless. One slice of my veal was completely tasteless and so tough and chewy. The other two were ok, at least they weren't tough. The carbonara was probably the best, but that isn't saying much. I couldn't taste the cheese and the panchetta was very salty. We didn't even bother with dessert. We were finished in forty minutes and out the door. No ambiance. Won't return or recommend.

Stuart G.

Yelp
The food was decent, but the service of a few people were terrible. We came into the restaurant and asked to sit towards the back of the restaurant-- away from a lot of people, noise and the front door. One host said "yes, I'll get that setup for you (set the table)." Then a second host came up and said "hi hello, the back of the restaurant is actually closed," (there's multiple tables with people at them) I said oh how come? And she said "we would be glad to seat you at the front of the house." So we obliged and decided to sit with all the other guests and loudness and crammed tables. The end of my story. If you're into good food-- it ain't bad. If you want respectful, considerate customer service-- this isn't your place.

Yelp
The best Italian in Aspen. My boyfriend and his brothers are obsessed. All the pizzas and pastas are amazing

Yelp
Everyone in my group got pasta and we lovvveeddd it! It was pretty packed so reservations are probably necessary. My friend has been ordering espresso martinis everywhere we go and she said it was the best one she'd had all week. Also they have a special truffle menu- the linguini was a lot better than the penne.

Yelp
I hadn't dined at Acquolina since before the pandemic. We would dine at the bar since no reservations were required. Not so anymore. They did find us a table but stressed we had to be done within an 1 1/2 hours. No problem since we were headed to a movie. Nonetheless, the waitstaff treated us a bit roughly and with little hospitality. I would have taken that in stride if the meal was fabulous but unfortunately the food was tasteless. All of it! Not worth the money. I won't be back.

Yelp
Two pastas and a Pizza For 118$ this is so not worth it. Plus was charged a 20% for to go? The pizza is thin and small I can get better at little ceasers the lasagna was bland and looked like it was microwaved and the rigatoni was tasteless and watery. Overall worst experience.

Yelp
Had dinner with my girlfriend! Very reasonable price for Aspen. Super love the Cozze and Greca!! The service was great!

Yelp
The only complaint I have about this restaurant is that I didn't have time to try everything on the menu. This was a last minute reservation since we had a "no plan plan" dinner. The concierge at our hotel recommended this place and they were SPOT ON!!!! We sat at the bar and met some really interesting and awesome people. Nick at the bar is awesome and recommended some great dishes. Everything we ate was on point and everything I watched walk by me to other tables looked equally amazing. Highly recommend this place!!!

Yelp
We were here w/ a party of 6 and had the same exact experience as another reviewer from September of this year - see below: "This place fills up and the tables are tight. People at my table were jostled several times. Upon entering the restaurant there is a sign. "We reserve the right to refuse to serve anyone we choose" had I been alone or the one who was paying, I would have turned around and walked out. WTF? As it was, mediocre food, astronomical prices, and poor overall attitude will keep me from ever going back" We 100% agree w/ the horrible attitude & mediocre food. There are so many great restaurants in Aspen and this is definitely not one of them!

Yelp
Open year-round, an amazing intimate, local ambiance. High quality Italian dishes, daily specials, wonderful wine list. Vibrant, energetic dinner location. Perfezione!

Yelp
All was great except the hostess. First we called to make a reservation and she said that they don't accept reservations, however when we arrived she asked us if we had reservations. After we told her no she told us that she could accommodate us right away but outside. We said yes but she stated that the heaters by the table was out of propane gas. Anyways, five minutes after we sat down, the awesome waitress went and told someone to come to turn on the space heater and it stayed on all the time we were there. I usually don't complain but if this person was my employee it would have been a different story specially when Business are hurting right now for Covid.
