Acre Resort

So much potential but unfortunately can not overcome the downsides to Acre. The location is lovely with beautiful surroundings and the natural sounds of jungle birds during the day. Unfortunately weddings are quite obviously the main focus at this hotel and it ruins the experience for a potentially lovely stay on the property. Very basic changes to the resort could make a lovely getaway that we would be happy to return to. First off morning coffee!! Such a simple fix yet they manage to complicate it for both the staff and guests making it a less than enjoyable experience. A simple drip coffee station would be all we would need. Yet you currently can only get coffee at one of the restaurants after opening at 7:30a and there is always confusion as to whether this is part of your continental breakfast (coffee and pastry) or if this is a separate order etc. An area that could SO easily be simplified!! Lastly but unfortunately what has solidified that we will not return is the wedding noise. Being a treehouse there are obviously no walls. The natural noise of the jungle we loved. The noise at night during a wedding is so loud and the base from the music so intrusive that it literally vibrates the bed. No amount of white noise or earplugs (provided which is a joke) can muffle this extreme level of noise. It is actually offensive that they ask guests to pay for a stay in the treehouses during wedding events. It is impossible to sleep let alone relax or have a conversation with your partner. There is nowhere upon booking that this is made obvious to potential guests. The website emphasizes a relaxing and quiet stay in the jungle with could not be further from the truth during events.

I cannot say enough good about Acre after a 3 day stay in Jan 2026. I went for a vacation with my husband and we stayed in the treehouses. Starting even at check-in our process went smoothly. EVERYONE at Acre was across the board professional, friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, customer-service oriented and fun to interact with. The treehouse room was so cool- luxury bed/bedding with a bathroom, outdoor shower, and heated bed when chilly at night and even AC when it was hot. All while feeling like you are in a jungle escape. I spent each day with the rescue pups, and loved it!! It was so special to be able to take the dogs for a walk and play with them. You can tell the staff does a great job given what the pups have gone through before their rescue. We even saw a couple go to their forever families during our stay. The mission is great- caring for dogs who would otherwise be on the street without a safe and secure place to recuperate and grow while waiting to be adopted. I dined twice at the main restaurant. Our servers Karla and Natalia were fantastic: they knew the menu well and were both very efficient but never came off as rushed. They were very friendly and always had time for us, including my husband's chismes de papa 😆 The food: WOW. I'm still dreaming about it a month later. Bright, flavorful, fresh, and innovative while still being delicious and filling. Their Michelin start is well earned. Kudos to the entire team making the restaurant as good as it is: your hard work, dedication and talent show. The coffee shop was delightful for breakfast, lunch, and small snacks. Carmen made sure we were well cared for each morning. Thank you! The pastries were always fresh and delicious. They've got a huge team working together to make the resort run well, and I want to extend my gratitude to all for such a special trip. We will absolutely be back for another visit!

Nice tiny and fun resort Stayed at the treehouse Service was friendly Room nice and clean Breakfast is not included (coffee and pasty is considered a continental breakfast) No gym access if you’re not a villa owner and that’s a real bummer There is a gym, but no access for you, only villa owners. One more thing that can be a problem if you’re staying at a tree house is the dogs barking the whole night. They provide ear plugs but they don’t really help. They have a shelter for homeless dogs and they go mad at night. We were pretty miserable to be honest. Other animals and birds make loud noises too, but they are nothing compared to a few dozens dogs barking for hours non stop. Anyway, it’s something to consider if you’re planning to sleep here at night. The restaurant is good. Food is fresh and delicious. Service is nice too. There are few venues for weddings and parties and it was loud till 1am the first night we got here. We were here for the wedding on the second night but our hosts finished the party at 10pm. We booked stay for 3 nights and I think 2 would be more than enough!

I had one of my favorite dining experiences ever at Acre during my recent vacation in Cabo. Everything about this place felt special—from the stunning, sexy ambience (truly the perfect date-night spot) to the warm, attentive staff who made the whole evening feel elevated. The star of the night for me was the mocktail. It was a passion-fruit orange blend topped with a coconut cream foam, and I can confidently say it was the best mocktail I’ve ever had in my life. I’m still thinking about it. Food-wise, Acre delivered on every level. The beet salad was phenomenal—fresh, vibrant, and beautifully balanced. The crispy rice was another standout, packed with flavor and texture. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the brussels sprouts were absolutely delicious. You can truly taste the difference in their farm-to-table approach, which I really appreciated. For dessert, we tried the frozen key lime pie, and it was unreal—bright, creamy, refreshing, and the perfect way to end the meal. From start to finish, Acre exceeded every expectation. I left already planning my next visit. I truly can’t wait to come back.

I stayed in one of the treehouses for two nights. The location and design are beautiful. The treehouse is a small elevated hut that you reach by climbing stairs. It feels peaceful, quiet, and very unique. A few problems we had with the place: - Hot water was an issue. They explained it’s due to their ecological water system, but in practice the water was freezing. I wasn’t able to shower properly on two occasions. - Breakfast is not actually included in a meaningful way. The “continental breakfast” is just two drinks and one pastry. If you want anything like eggs, you have to order and pay from the full menu. -NOT vegan friendly. In the breakfast there were no vegan pastries at all. The vegan “options” from the restaurants are just regular dishes with the cheese/meat removed.

Acre is a peaceful, curated oasis. The property makes you feel like you are staying in the jungle. The treehouses creates the perfect juxtaposition of adventure & romance. You wake to sounds of exotic birds & shower under the stars. During our stay Anthony C took the best care of us. He was so kind, carried our towels, poured us cocktails & make us feel like family. Come here!!!!!

Highly recommend horseback riding with Lencho. He helped my 9 yo overcome some last minute jitters and taught my 13 yo how to more independently ride his horse. The 4 of us had a really wonderful time and will be talking about the experience for years to come.

food was amazing, cocktails were great! my dad said it was the best steak he’s ever had also the property is so stunning! definitely a must try if you’re in Cabo 🤩
