"The Dish: Frosted Lemonade The first sip of a frosted lemonade from A.C.’s is like the smell of a specific laundry detergent that brings you back to 6th grade sleepovers at your best friend’s house. That sugary, tart, freezing slushie unleashes a flood of nostalgia for wide swaths of this city. And in Coconut Grove, which gets less recognizable with each new apartment complex, it’s so delightful to drive by Kennedy Park and see the A.C.’s food truck continuing to build those memories for a new generation of sweaty Miami kids. "A.C.’s Icees is one of the last remaining bits of old Coconut Grove and an essential hot summer day pit stop. The cash-only food truck serves the best frozen lemonade in Miami and has been run by longtime Grove resident Allan Cohen since 1978. It's usually parked right outside Kennedy Park. There is truly nothing better when it feels like 174 degrees outside than one of Cohen's frosty frozen lemonades (maybe a hotdog too). After you've secured yours, take a walk through Kennedy Park and enjoy a perfect afternoon in the Grove." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

There is truly nothing better on one of Miami's many obnoxiously hot summer days. Truly a must have when in Miami - not only is the frozen lemonade soo good - the owner and employees are just a delight. I’d patronize them every day if i lived here… alas! Cash only though !

We were just attended to by Eric, and it was such a pleasure! He was empathetic, professional, and frankly simply awesome. Definitely will swing by again. You can't go wrong with the BEST frozen lemonade on a hot Florida day 😋 ☀️

I was returning from a bike ride and couldnt resist trying this very famous place for iced lemonades for the very first time. Wow, it was such a yummy refreshing and perfectly crushed iced drink. And the lushly green park setting and kids playing around having fun makes it a perfect place enjoy it too.

I updated my review as the closing time has changed to 6pm. Yay! ——————A.C’s Icee is the best lemonade hands down! And I’ve traveled the world! Been coming here since I was a kid and now in my 30s so it’s definitely a staple in Miami. The only reason I don’t give it a 5 (and it is 5 stars in taste) is because the owner (one man show) closes strictly at 5pm, no ifs, ands or buts; doesn’t matter that you waited half an hour, you can get to the window and once it’s 5 he closes- in your face! Trust me it’s happened to me like 3 times already...right when it was my turn next! I think at 4:30pm he should give people in the line a ticket or tell people to not form line and waste their time....basically get there early, don’t expect friendly service and be ready to wait but the satisfaction you get from that lemonade supersedes all that and that’s why people (& me) will always go and line up for it.

A Miami institution — and one of those rare instances where the reality meets the hype. The frozen lemonade and piña colada were spectacular and very necessary on such a hot day. The hot dogs were great too. Would definitely go back.

The ABSOLUTE BEST frozen drink (non-alcoholic of course) on any Miami day. I happily drive a 1 HOUR round trip at least twice a week for these perfectly sippable frozen treats.❄ They have 3 flavor options. A refreshing Pina Colada🍍, a perfectly sweetened Lemonade🍋, and Cherry🍒. My favorite combo is lemonade & pina colada. Don't forget a bag of chips or a hot dog🌭 for something salty or savory to go with your A.C.'S Icee. Also, don't be afraid of a long line! They are very efficient and the quality is always worth the wait. Thank you A.C! *Photo from 2 days ago (returning to A.C's now). Don't worry, they serve the drink VERY full, I couldn't resist drinking some before my last photo.

A sunday stroll in the park with my boo boo and the little princess. This has been a Miami staple since the 70s. I used to stop by for a lemonade on my bike ride to Key Biscayne with friends. The lemonades are delicious and they have a variety of snacks and juices. Try it out you won't be dissapointed.
