"The Dish: Frosted Lemonade The first sip of a frosted lemonade from A.C.’s is like the smell of a specific laundry detergent that brings you back to 6th grade sleepovers at your best friend’s house. That sugary, tart, freezing slushie unleashes a flood of nostalgia for wide swaths of this city. And in Coconut Grove, which gets less recognizable with each new apartment complex, it’s so delightful to drive by Kennedy Park and see the A.C.’s food truck continuing to build those memories for a new generation of sweaty Miami kids. "A.C.’s Icees is one of the last remaining bits of old Coconut Grove and an essential hot summer day pit stop. The cash-only food truck serves the best frozen lemonade in Miami and has been run by longtime Grove resident Allan Cohen since 1978. It's usually parked right outside Kennedy Park. There is truly nothing better when it feels like 174 degrees outside than one of Cohen's frosty frozen lemonades (maybe a hotdog too). After you've secured yours, take a walk through Kennedy Park and enjoy a perfect afternoon in the Grove." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"A.C.’s Icees is one of the last remaining bits of old Coconut Grove. The food truck, which serves the best frozen lemonade in Miami, has been run by longtime Grove resident Allan Cohen since 1978. There is truly nothing better on one of Miami's many obnoxiously hot summer days. Order a large frozen lemonade (maybe a hotdog too), walk through Kennedy Park, and enjoy a perfect afternoon in the Grove." - Ryan Pfeffer
