A Michelin Gem in the Medieval Heart of Perugia Hidden in the Gothic atmosphere of the beautiful old streets of Perugia, marked only by a sign that is easy to miss when walking by at night, lies the best Umbrian gastronomy we have experienced so far in the city – Ada Ristorante. In a relatively small, intimate space beneath vaulted brick ceilings, with a simple yet welcoming interior, the restaurant offers two tasting menus featuring dishes with playful names, such as La quaglia va in Puglia (The quail goes to Puglia) or Tinca in vigna (Tench in the vineyard). The quail was incredibly delicious, and the tench in the vineyard was excellent as well, although the fish seemed to “hide” a little in the vineyard, as the portion was quite small. Overall, however, the Storytelling menu was the best we have ever had in a Michelin-starred restaurant, and for that we extend our sincere thanks to Mrs. Ada. We also greatly appreciated the wine pairing, which beautifully complemented each course. We spent a wonderful evening in a pleasant atmosphere, enjoying outstanding food and wine, with attentive, efficient, and exceptionally kind service. Our thanks go to the entire team for the extraordinary experience we had at Ada Ristorante. When we return from the Czech Republic to visit Perugia again someday, Ada Ristorante will certainly not be missing from our travel plans.

A Hidden Gem Worthy of More Than One Star Tucked away on a quiet street in Perugia, Ada is a 1-star Michelin restaurant that delivers a truly unforgettable dining experience. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by two gracious hosts and led into a stunning dining room featuring a glass gallery kitchen. The interior is impeccably designed—contemporary art adorns the walls, aquamarine seating and acid-brushed aluminum accents pop with character, and directed lighting softly illuminates the circular tables, creating an intimate and elegant atmosphere. The wine maître d’ was exceptional, recommending a crisp Northern Italian Tokai that perfectly complemented our eight-course tasting menu. Each dish was a masterpiece—featuring locally sourced ingredients like quail, langoustine, venison, hand-rolled ricotta ravioli, Tuscan seaside clams, fresh basil, and pine nuts. Every plate was a visual and culinary delight. Desserts were equally impressive, ending the evening with a whimsical tower of bite-sized chocolates and marzipan fruits, crafted to perfection. A highlight was meeting Ada herself—a humble and passionate chef whose love for food radiates in every detail of the experience. This is truly one of the best Michelin-starred meals I’ve had anywhere in the world, and in my opinion, Ada more than deserves a second star. Thank you to the entire team for an enchanting and memorable evening.

The staff make the experience even better warm, genuine, and clearly proud of what they serve. They’re happy to walk you through the dishes and recommend wines that turn a great meal into an unforgettable one. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want to treat yourself, Ada delivers that perfect mix of comfort and sophistication.

We had the testing menu for 100euro and wine 50euro . The food is very yummy but just a bit too small 🤣🤣… summer time is a bit hot too

The best food experience I've ever had! Food and vines are just incredible, everything goes together perfectly. I would also like to thank the entire staff - not only did they change the menu to a vegetarian one for me, but the entire dinner took place in an incredibly nice atmosphere :)

Ada in Perugia is a hidden gem. Each dish was full of flavour and beautifully made with care and creativity, and they catered to our gluten free needs seamlessly. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the setting felt relaxed but elegant. The wine pairing was particularly stunning - a local Umbrian pinot noir. If you want to sample creative cuisine which blends Umbrian and Puglian dishes, Ada is a must.
