"New York style pizza joints in the city have come a long way in recent years, and Adamo was one of the first to start the trend. Tony Campenelli opened a pizzeria serving old-school, thin pies by the slice or as sizable whole pies. Diners can choose to eat at bar tables or in the park across the street." - Daniel Bromberg, Eater Staff

"When Tony Campanelli opened his no-nonsense St-Henri slice joint back in 2015, he was among the first in Montreal to champion thin-crust, New York-style pizza. But the goal wasn’t to become some trendy spot; at the time, Campanelli said he wanted “Adamo to be an old-school place that lasts 100 years, not just another cool place to be seen in.” The takeout counter serves pizza by the oversized pie or slice, with toppings like calabrese salami, or ricotta, rapini, and mozzarella, among those winning over the Sud-Ouest crowd." - Joel Balsam, Valerie Silva, Eater Staff

Calabrese Slice + Margherita Slice 🍕 What more can you ask for, honestly I'm mad it took me over 7 years after finding out about this gem to finally make the trip and go. . Well I shouldn't say that it took me 7 years to finally try @pizzaadamo more like everytime I was in the area and ready to get a slice it was closed 😅. At the time they had weird hours that would just never seem to line up for when I actually wanted to grab a slice but I'm glad I finally went! . Great dough, like really yummy, nice and crispy undercarriage which is what u want from a good slice of pizza. The texture of the cheese is perfect and I have to say the calabrese was great. First time I have a pizza like that and it was fantastic! The Margherita was also great, what you'd expect from a good old fashioned reliable slice, but you know you got to try it because to me, that's always a good base line to start off! . I'll definitely becoming back again soon this weekend hopefully when I'm in the area again and guys if you don't know, now you know! Go check em out, 10/10!

Very pleased with the rapini and ricotta slice. The white sauce was surprisingly flavorful - if I remember correctly there was a decent amount of garlic flavor which was really quite nice. The only thing I might note is that the rapini was a little chewy to be on top of pizza. With each bite I was pulling off huge pieces of rapini. Looking forward to trying other slices though.

The pizza is SOOO good! About 5$ per slice, but it's pretty big, and 1 slice can be pretty filling if you're not super hungry! I got 2 slices last time when I was super hungry, and they were enough to get me full ☺️ highly recommend if you want a quick bite ☺️ lots of choices to choose from, even if you're vegetarian!

The closest I've had to NYC pizza outside NYC. Cheese pizza was good! Very thin and has the crunch.

The BEST hands down thin crust pizza anywhere. Basic option and if you are adventurous there are option for you too. I have gone now like 5 times in about a month and have tried them all. My only complaint is that they close at 8pm but I get it. Go and enjoy!!!

That’s it the hunt is over for the best New York style pizza in Montreal. Adamo is my number 1 place. The crust and the tomato sauce are very well done. You will never regret a visit and it will become your spot forever. Bravo Adamo.

We had the sundried tomatoes ricotta and cheese thin crust slices, they were excellent. One slice each wasn't enough to fulfill our tummy of the goodness. Sadly, they do not offer any type of delivery as we are not from the area. For take out, they have one size only (huge) for 27$. Will return and next time will go for a whole pizza.
