Chef Marcus Samuelsson Is Opening Marcus Bar and Grille in the Old Fourth Ward, Atlanta - Eater Atlanta

"The Atlanta location of Adele’s closed late last year after just nine months on Edgewood Avenue. Representatives for the restaurant declined to provide a reason for the sudden closure. The original location in Nashville remains open." - Beth McKibben

Adele’s on Edgewood Avenue in Atlanta Closes After Just Nine Months in the Old Fourth Ward - Eater Atlanta

"The Atlanta location of Adele’s on Edgewood Avenue closed last weekend after just nine months in the Old Fourth Ward. The restaurant, a branch of the popular Nashville location, was known for its "California cuisine" and "rustic" Italian dishes, including gnocchi, salmon belly carpaccio, smoked duck, and roast chicken served with salsa verde. A brunch buffet was offered on Sundays." - Beth McKibben

Beautiful location. I loved that the garage doors were open to the patio area. The atmosphere and the feel of the place was very chill. It is awesome to sit at the chefs bar and watch them work. The drink menu is extensive and the drink esthetics were amazing. Our food was delicious. We ordered the braised short rib, the Mac and cheese, gnocchi, trout dip and a dessert. The house made hot sauces were also spot on. I did love the texture and the lemon flavor of the gnocchi, I do think it could have used more aromatics.

If you haven’t experienced this new restaurant, you need to get there as soon as possible!! Just can’t say enough great things! The service is over the top-chefs are outstanding-food Will knock your socks off. I am not a huge gnocchi fan but it was the best ever. The steak was perfectly prepared and the Smokey taste was remarkable. But make sure you get the Short rib-you have not eaten anything this amazing! The crispy potatoes, heirloom carrots Were perfect. Ordering olives may sound strange, but with the focaccia bread and oil from olives -amazing. Sad we had no room for the coconut cake!! We are visiting here from Texas and we know how to cook meat, so to get rave reviews from us is quite the compliment. Do not miss this unique restaurant!!!

Such a great experience at Adele's! We had the pork and the steak along with the kale salad, carrots and mac and cheese. We cleared our plates and still had room for dessert! The margarita was delicious as well. Perfect balance between sweet and tart. Kaliah, Anthony, Scotty and Chef Hannah young took such great care of us!!! (sorry if I got any names wrong, but the entire staff was very helpful and accommodating). Excellent service, delicious food and fantastic atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone!

For starters, the location is absolutely beautiful. It’s a night and day difference from the “rowdier” side of Edgewood that’s just a few blocks down. The staff were warm and welcoming and made sure to provide a 5 star experience while we dined in. Our bartender and waitress Shaunie (more than likely misspelled) was absolutely AMAZING! Not only did she get us started at the bar but she also continued to attend to us as a server when we moved to our table (only because it was slow and we had built reporte with her). Everything on this menu had an acquired taste. I love how they played around with flavors and textures to make interesting dishes like the watermelon salad. I also love how everything produce and protein wise was sourced from local places! This makes my heart happy and you could honestly tell the quality in the items. For example the watermelon salad, the kale salad, the chicken , all the veggies, was all so fresh, it was great! They even have an open scratch kitten where they make everything from scratch and you can see your order being made! We ate all our sides family style and chose our own proteins for their “Sunday Supper” menu! I look forward to coming back and love that they have PLENTY of seating however, I would like to recommend adding the heaters to the patio because the patio space is beautiful and we would’ve loved to sit out there but it’s getting cold so add those and this place will be 100%

Adele’s on Edgewood has an amazingly welcoming vibe. The staff on hand were warm and friendly and more than anything they were incredibly knowledgeable. My server was able to quickly walk me through the menu and recommend a pairing of a divine squash salad with a wonderfully cooked beef short rib. To close things out I sampled an incredible chocolate mousse like dessert (forgot the name 😑) which I won’t soon forget. I was provided drink recommendations with every course and each was better than the last. I highly recommend finishing with espresso martini. There is also an amazing outdoor patio that connects to the main dining area through garage style doors. Do yourself a favor and give this spot a try!

Had an amazing experience at Adele’s. My wife and I entered into a welcoming location with a relaxing vibe that had a very romantic and relaxing lighting. Everyone we met during our time there was incredibly nice and went above and beyond for us. We had the bruschetta with ricotta and red onion jam as a starter and it blew our minds. So delicious we had to tell ourselves to stop so we could enjoy the rest of the meal. I ordered the teres major steak and risotto and my wife ordered the burger with serrano and tomato chutney and lemon aioli with fries. The steak was cooked to perfection and the risotto was a brilliant compliment with the steak. My wife was nice enough to let me try the burger and it was an explosion of flavor, the spice was the right amount to enjoy for those who like a bit of heat. We also got three deserts to share, the seasonal pie had peaches instead of berries for the current season, the chocolate budino, and the berry sorbet. The pie and budino had an amazing blend of hot and cold and the sorbet was not only great as a palate cleanser, but it was also delicious! I couldn’t speak more highly of executive chef Hannah and the team that works at Adele’s in Atlanta. If I ever return to Atlanta, I will be returning to try something new, and if anyone going to Atlanta asks for a recommendation, I will always recommend this restaurant. My ONLY critique is Adele’s needs to come to the Northwest Arkansas area so I can experience this awesome food more regularly. Maybe one day, fingers crossed.

An Incredible experience. The location is huge and spacious. The food was great. The food will change by the season and menu though not huge everything we had was incredible. Their sister restaurant in Nashville we hear is just as amazing.

we live in the neighborhood and were SO excited to welcome Adele's. I've been there twice and have unfortunately had the same experience both times. the space is gorgeous, but we found the food very bland, overcooked, under seasoned, and just generally unimaginative both times. our server also brought my husband a purple fizzy sweet drink and told him that was the Old Fashioned. it wasn't... a manager fixed that and brought him another drink. she also asked me at one point if i wanted more "red wine," might seem like a small thing, but i feel servers usually refer to your wine with the name / grape. the bar staff was VERY confused when I asked if they had any pet nat or natural wines. the kale salad and roast chicken are decent; unfortunately we found some other dishes literally inedible. unfortunately we won't be back :(
