"All day on Tuesday, May 25th, Indian restaurants across the Bay Area, including SF’s Besharam, Amber India, and ROOH, are donating 50% of their sales to American India Foundation’s COVID relief efforts. Proceeds will go to frontline workers and those affected by the rising COVID rates in India, and help to purchase oxygen, ventilators, cold storage equipment, and other equipment for hospitals across the country. We tried this place based on a recommendation, so went here instead of our favorite place 1 block away. Although it was good and somewhat different, we prefer the foods at Udupi Palace and will be returning there.

Google
Ordered vijaywada spicy chicken briyani. It lived up to its flavor, chicken, quantity, and condiments. Will return here.

Google
Yum! Came in for lunch and was surprised to be the only patron. Spicy Masala Dosa was incredible - packed with flavor, sizable portions, and great cost. Staff were super friendly too. Will def return.

Google
I love the spicy Vijayawada chicken biryani. It's been a while since I dined in this restaurant. The service was amazing. I forgot my bag that had a couple of laptops and an iPad. Restaurant staff (Jonathan) handed it over. I really appreciate the staff.

Google
Fish fry and all kinds of Dosa are very very good. The biriyani is just ok. I have had better and more tasty biryani elsewhere. The jackfruit curry was very very bad.. for the price point, it didn't make hit any taste notes. I didn't like it. The biryani and jackfruit curry were'nt good.

Google
Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area. Their food never disappoints me. I love their boneless lamb biryani which is my fav. Their naan bread and other bread options are fresh cooked, not like other restaurants where they reheat the frozen.

Google
Visited Aditi Indian cuisine for first time and during lunch time. We started with arsan soup, followed by starters (paneer 65) and then full course ( garlic naan, nirvana kofta, daal tadka etc.). Overall the food quality was good and paneer 65 was lil spicy then I expected.

Google
Came to check out this Indian place on a Wednesday night because we were craving butter chicken. The place seemed pretty empty and got most of its business from delivery. We ordered mango mojito, chicken kebab, butter chicken, and two orders of garlic naan. The total came out about $50. We liked everything especially the kebab. The only complain was butter chicken was much sweeter than we had expected. So if you like your butter chicken on the sweet side, this is your place!

Yelp
I am a big fan of their special chicken and goat biriyanis. Very affordable. I enjoyed their veg curries too. Paneer and malai kofta were nice and creamy. Paneer cooked well and still soft. Garlic naan cooked to perfection. No wait time and quick service. Restaurant was clean and cozy

Yelp
Ordered delivery from Aditi Indian Cuisine with my brothers, and boy was it delicious! The order came hot and fresh, which made everything even better. The only regret was not ordering enough naan to soak up all the curry goodness. The goat biryani was a standout with flavorful rice and plenty of tender, juicy meat tucked underneath. Thankfully, it was not boney like others I have had. The onion samosas were definitely on the oily side, but in a way that added to their unique flavor. The lamb rogan josh was rich and satisfying, and every curry we tried came with a proper level of spice. If I am not sweating a little, I am not doing it right. Prices are competitive with other Indian spots in the area, but the portion sizes for the curry entrees felt a bit on the smaller side for what you pay. Still, the flavors made up for it. My go-to favorite here will always be the palak paneer. It is creamy, well-balanced, and consistently delicious. Looking forward to ordering again. Next time, I am doubling up on the naan.

Yelp
Not bad! Nice spice and great flavor. We especially liked the butter chicken and chicken biryani. Only gripe is that the dishes are pretty small. We'll be back for sure, though. See pics but we were already grinding away at it!

Yelp
I want to try more Indian places in SF, specifically ones that make South Indian cuisine. I tried the mysore masala dosa here, and liked how it came with a variety of chutneys and a tasty sambar. The dosa was not as crispy but still tasted comforting! I also thought that the pricing was pretty reasonable for an Indian restaurant in SF. The service was fast and the people were kind! If you're craving a dosa in the mission, this could be a place to try!

Yelp
Very good chicken masala big spicy restaurant easy easy to find on Valencia Street parking can be hard

Yelp
Ordered from aditi for our weekly order out, an order of samosas, garlic naan, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala. The garlic naan and the samosas were AMAZING and definitely wellcooked and put together. We were not the biggest fan of the buttee chicken and chicken tikka masala. The butter chicken had almost no chicken in it and the chicken tikka masala seemed just be the butter chicken with some peper in it. It does have a great price point and were going to come back for those samosas!

Yelp
We have had excellent meals before, both in the restaurant and takeaway. We are happy to support a neighborhood business just a block from our place. However, this evening we took home a butter chicken and a chicken tikka masala, online order#26, today's date. The chicken in both dishes was not the usual cubes, but was very tiny bits, barely larger than a mince. Each dish could not possibly have had more than two ounces of chicken, and that doesn't come anywhere close to how much protein is reasonable to expect a main dish. The sauce was delicious as usual but we are still very hungry! This was extremely disappointing. Is this what we can expect in future, or was tonight an anomaly?

Yelp
I have been a frequent diner at Aditi many times. And have taken both Indian friends and non Indians as guests. Each time, we enjoyed the food to the fullest and my guests have then gone there on their own. The menu is varied and great. I always order a variety of the Pakoras as starters and then usually try something I have not had before. Never been disappointed. The service is always pleasant and quick. Can't wait to visit again!

Yelp
Authentic Indian food in the heart of the Mission. I came here on a Friday night and was able to get a table outside immediately. Between three people, we tried: -Samosa- crispy with savory potato filling. I love the sauces this came with -Chicken Biryani- SPICY but so good. I would probably order mild next time. -Pistachio Butter Chicken- this dish was a little bit sweeter than I'm used to (maybe because of the pistachio) -- not my favorite but wanted to try something new. I would probably stick to regular butter chicken next time. -Pakora- perfectly battered and fried vegetable fritters with dipping sauces, perfect for sharing! -Garlic Naan- fluffy and buttery -Mango Lassi- a must have if you're eating something spicy Unfortunately, they were not serving dosas when I went. Prices are fair given the portion sizes. The service here is AMAZING (I think ~5 different people came to check up on us over the course of our meal). Will definitely be back the next time I'm in the mood for Indian!

Yelp
We were down for an Indian restaurant, and Aditi had really high reviews, so we decided to give it a try. We had the masala fried, garlic naan, butter chicken and saag paneer. The masala fries were very regular fries with spices and a spicy sauce. It was OK. The garlic naan was really good. The butter chicken was well made, and the chicken wasn't dry at all. My only issue with the saag paneer, is that I don't recognize that it was made with spinach. I mainly tasted spices and paneer. Will still come back though.
google avatar

Kaveda J.

Yelp
The food was great and service was excellent as well! A great place to enjoy veg and non veg Indian food! If you like spicy, the dishes can be made spicier as well!
google avatar

Foofa B.

Yelp
With the popular Udupi Palace rather busy, we decided to give Aditi a go and, my, are we glad we did. The dosas were perfect - crispy, with a delicious potato filling and tasty condiments. The masala fries were scrumptious as was the mango lassi and the fresh lime soda. The restaurant was spotless, the service was faultless and the staff was excellent. Halal too!
google avatar

Charlie R.

Yelp
Impressed. The chicken curry dosa had so much flavor and Sambar was really good too. The Saag Paneer was a little runny but great flavor and nicely spiced.

Yelp
This may become one of my go-to spots for Indian food in the Mission. It's got an extensive menu of dosas, biryanis, koftas, with tons of vegetarian and vegan options. We sat outside and the server was really good about checking on us often. We ordered: Mysore masala dosa ($11) - 5/5. This thing is a massive triangle and stuffed with spiced potato. It's so much fun tearing pieces off and dipping them into the three different sauces / chutneys provided. My favorite was the mint. Egg biryani ($13) - 5/5. I couldn't finish this and had to take half of it home. I have no idea how much boiled egg they put in it but I kept finding more of it the further down I dug. The seasoning is well-distributed in the rice, and there's a great balance of slight acid and spiciness. My boyfriend got the kofta, which was probably the worst deal out of the bunch, since it was pretty expensive and consisted of four balls floating in a sauce. However, the sauce was incredibly rich and flavorful, so I can't be too mad.
google avatar

Ruhi S.

Yelp
Solid spot for casual Indian food in the Mission - I recommend their biryanis, especially their vegetarian paneer biriyani. Note: Come by 7ish pm on a weekend to try their biriyani because they might run out. Their crispy gobi manchurian is a great snack to share but their masala fries and paneer tikka are nothing outstanding.

Brink O.

Yelp
I don't even have a Yelp account but made one just for Aditi- This place is amazing! Second time visiting in our stay at SF (not local)- the spice is a perfect level (we like it spicy but not painful as if we have something to prove) and the flavor is phenomenal. Highly recommend to all that are looking for an authentic, flavorful meal!
google avatar

Ambrose C.

Yelp
The worse chicken tikka masala that i have ever had. There were the smallest portions of chicken I have ever had in my life. The pieces of chicken were the size of a penny and it was full of green bell pepper and big pieces of onion. I will not give this place 1 star because the service was proper. I'm just very disappointed with the food, the price, and the ambience.
google avatar

Stuti V.

Yelp
We ordered 1 Garlic Naan , 1 Butter Naan , 1 Chicken Tikka Masala and 1 Chicken Biryani. ( Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the Biryani). Naans were usual. Biryani - Quantity was so good and so was the taste. It was the right amount of spice and also had boiled egg in it. It was fresh and the chicken was very well cooked. Chicken tikka masala - was tasty but way too less in quantity then expected. Even for 2 people it was less and we ended up wasting the Naan because the gravy was finished. I don't like restaurants which give such a quantity of dishes and it's not that the price was less. So hence a 3 star review. I would probably order Biryani from here again if I crave for biryani but I doubt I will risk ordering sabji again.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the apple doesn't seem to fall very far from the tree. The apple is Aditi and the tree is Aaha. I did not love Aaha, but I thought I would give this place a try because I have really been fiending for some good south indian. Anyways, I ordered the samosas, chicken chettinadu and pistachio korma vegetables. The samosas were perfectly fried and crispy however they were lacking in filling. The chicken chettinadu was good but I felt it was lacking in heat and spice. It just felt like it was missing something. The pistachio veggies were very disappointing. Bland, bland, BLAND.....just like the food from Aaha. I will say here what I said about Aaha: what am I missing, here??

Yelp
Prob the best Indian food in sf. Everything's really good, tastes fresh. And pretty authentic too, not watered down.

Yelp
Memories of the spiciest thing I ever consumed resonate as if eaten only yesterday. Upwards of 20 years ago I ate at a well-reviewed outer Mission spot called "Mom is Cooking". Whatever she cooked that night brought sweat to the brow and tears to the eyes and every spicy food consumed in the years that followed was compared to that dish. At Aditi (in the former Garcon space, RIP) I made my way through the Spinach & Cheese Samosas ($6, very good when dipped in the sauces which accompany) and the Okra Fritters ($9) recommended by my server (fine, but okra taste and texture still shines through which is not okay if you're not an okra fan) before being served the Chicken (bone-in, $14) Biryani. The Biryani was served with two accompanying sauces, Raita and "Spicy Sauce". My experience with Biryani is that it's not a spicy dish. This one comes topped with a hard boiled egg which you cut up atop the rice, adding to what I assumed were the mild flavors of the dish. Being a heat lover, I heaped some on my plate, topping it with a couple tablespoons of the spicy sauce. "Mom is Cooking" has some competition here. Holy hell, my mouth was afire and not just for those spoonfuls but for everything that followed. This heat wouldn't evaporate and wouldn't let go. It was simultaneously thrilling and scary. To my dining partner I kept saying "Biryani isn't spicy. Don't add the sauce and you'll be fine" but he kept saying his mouth was afire. Not until the next day, when I gobbled up the leftovers without the spicy sauce, did I understand what he was saying. This Biryani was spicy regardless of whether or not additional spicy sauce was added. Not nearly as hot, but certainly exciting. Although the two blocks surrounding Aditi contain at least three other Indian restaurants (including the uber-popular Udupi Palace) I had no regrets in choosing Aditi. The place is casual and pours a particularly generous glass of wine. There was no pressure to order more, even, than the alcohol making me think that this is a perfect place to get a bit of food with your drink. Beware of the spicy sauce though; it is just as advertised.

Yelp
I enjoy the lunch fare here quite a bit. I have also really liked the dinner the one time I came in. I have had a variety of quality of meals from "nice" to "OMFG, this is tasty". I usually get the tikka masala or butter chicken lunch combo, then split it with my wife who eats most of the daal.
google avatar

Alba B.

Yelp
The food is always delicious, and always quick and friendly service. They also are very reasonably priced. I come quite often and never disappointed. Great for a casual dinner.

Larry B.

Yelp
After all this time and I've still not been in person, but this is still my go to spot for delivered Indian food. Tonight we just confirmed what I already knew. The food was delivered piping hot and delicious. We had Eggplant Curry and Saag Paneer, with garlic naan and veggie samosas and rice. Spicy and tasty and so satisfying.
google avatar

Tanvi G.

Yelp
The food and service here was excellent. The masala papad was uniquely delicious and the garlic naan was amazing! If we are again in the area during dinnertime then we'll definitely come back and try other things!!

Juan G.

Yelp
order 2 tikka masala with rice and naan bread. thinking it would be 2 rice too. toatal was $41. everything was fresh but please tell me who puts onions and green peppers on the tikka. on top of that with mainly onions and green peppers and barely chicken. flavors were good but i been in alot of restaurants and never had onions and green peppers. atleast put more chicken. for 41 dollars i could get more for the price.

Yelp
I was wondering why their taste has deteriorated for a minute. Turns out their key chefs have moved on and opened their own joint close by, Aaha Indian cuisine (tried it last week, it's amazing!) Aditi was outstanding but is just about average now based on last couple times we ordered in.
google avatar

Sofia R.

Yelp
I was wandering around the Mission District for the day and found myself walking into Aditi Indian Cuisine based on a recommendation! I was told that Aditi Indian Cuisine has some of the most authentic Indian food you could have. I can't say I'm an expert at that, but after trying Aditi's food, I must agree that this place is a must-try! We ordered the following: Garlic Naan - Buttery, fluffy, great char. So perfect for dipping Goat Vindaloo - Spicy and so flavorful! Goat is tough to cook with, but this place cooks with it very well! Highly recommend trying this, don't be afraid to try goat! Butter Chicken - You haven't had a Butter Chicken like this one! The flavors were really something else, we made a point to bring the leftover curry sauce home to enjoy later. Overall, such a great experience. This is a humble location with really sweet staff, they were very friendly and made a point to check in to make sure we enjoyed our food. I can't wait to go back, I'll probably order take-out at the next opportunity!
google avatar

Yelp
TL;DR - a big menu with something for everyone The restaurant is at a corner location, which allows it to have outdoor seating. We weren't too close to the craziness of the Mission, but not too far for after dinner drinks. Loads of parking 1-2 blocks away. We were quickly seated! The menu was extensive, which was nice. It was sectioned so that vegetarians have a clear idea of what they'd want. For example, vegetarian dosa's had their own whole section! Imagine, different ways to enjoy your dosa! I got the lamb one though and it was bigger than my face. Very much worth the price. I recommend. It was delicious even re-heated. If you like cauliflower, try their gobi - it's fried and mixed with vegetables and sauce. We also got something similar but a fish dish, between the two, Gobi was better. They also have Indian beer! Overall, what I'd say is, it's a solid Indian spot to try.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
4.5 stars As the curry lamb dosa arrived to my table, my eyes lit up. The dosa had a perfectly smooth and shiny exterior and was folded into the shape of a massive triangle. Inside, the dosa was spread with beaten egg and held a generous portion of filling: a spicy curry made with chopped onions and tender, meaty pieces of lamb. It was all served with a thin tomato chutney and a thick coconut chutney, and I also ordered a side of beautifully yellow masala potatoes, studded with mustard seeds and lentils! Though the lamb curry was a bit on the greasy side, every last bite of the dosa was simply incredible, and I didn't want the flavor fest to end! In addition to the dosa, I also tried the tandoor chicken, which came out on a sizzling plate with grilled onions. The chicken legs had an amazing savory marinade on the outside, which made it flavorful, tender, and juicy. It was served with a mint/cilantro chutney on the side to cool down the hot spices--what an incredible classic dish!
google avatar

Sanjay V.

Yelp
Aditi's Indian Cuisine is a great place to go to for South Indian specialties imo. Their sambar vada and ghee dosa were fantastic! Perfect amount of crispness on the dosa and the amount of food was great given the price. I think the sambar was good, but not the best I've had in the area - so that could be an area for improvement. But, the restaurant was very accommodating for a large group of 10 and the food came out in a timely manner (appetizers first, followed by meals). Overall, I'd recommend this!
google avatar

Emily Z.

Yelp
The BEST biryani in San Francisco! My friends and I ordered the goat and chicken ones with naan, and it was amazing. The dish is so flavorful, fresh, spicy, and creamy. After finishing our meal, we immediately started thinking about when we should order from here again, which is the biggest compliment I could give to a restaurant. Delivery was incredibly quick and easy. Can't wait to have this again!
google avatar

Jerry M.

Yelp
Stopped in. Neat little place right on the corner, so it's great for people-watching. The windows were open, so there was a nice breeze moving through. So I had chicken korma, some plain basmati rice and the Mysore masala dosa. The korma was excellent. Very flavorful and I tend to like mine spicy, and they spiced it up pretty well. I had never had a Mysore dosa, which was advertised as being spicy, and it was, but it just lacked that wow factor. (For comparison I was at Mission Curry House last week and theirs was outstanding. This was OK, just not something I'd be inclined to try again). I will come back at some point but if you want to stop in, it's a pretty good spot to hang out for a while.
google avatar

Rahul V.

Yelp
I used to love this place but past 2 visits were quite disappointing. The dosa was 1/2 the size they used to be and completely different taste. I found out that they lost the main chef - that explains it. I don't think I'll be going there again.

Yelp
Aditi is a new casual Indian restaurant inside the old Just had a late night meal Garcon French restaurant, which closed in 2019. They offer a range of delicious northern and southern Indian fare at reasonable prices. My first impression was meh - they interior was uninspiring and atmosphere generally lacking. In fact, it looks more like a French restaurant, they clearly haven't redecorated - some of the wine prints are still on the wall! Our table wobbled, the paint was peeling, and lighting was uneven. Even the menus were lackluster - looks like someone printed out a list of Indian food with an inkjet printer on standard letter paper. So not a place I'd recommend for a date or anything fancy. But the food was delicious and earned back it's stars! We had four dishes and all were fantastic: * Samosa (Spinach and Cheese) - $6 * Gobi Manchurian (Fried cauliflower with spices) - $11 * Veg Jalfrezi (Vegetable curry with indian spices) - $12 * Chicken Tikka Masala (the classic) - $15 Note the curries both came with ample rice included in the price. The Chicken Tikka was deliciously spiced and much better than average, as was the jalfrezi. We ate up all the cauliflower right away - lightly battered and fried with spices, unions, and peppers - amazing. The samosas were also delicious and not as deeply fried as usual, which I preferred, and it came with 4 of them. The server was very honest about the dishes and helped us choose well. In fact, when we tried to order a Dosa, he suggested it might be too much food, and when we ordered a second chicken dish, he guided us to try something else to have more variety. At first it felt pushy, but we ended up with such a great assortment, I'm glad he pushed us. I think this would be a great spot for vegetarians - not only did they have a very wide selection of vegetarian dishes, the menu very clearly separated veg and non-veg dishes, so very easy to order. I'm a meat lover, but we even ordered three vegetarian dishes and loved them all! One of my favorite things about Aditi - it's open very late, until midnight most nights and 1am Friday and Saturday. Perfect for a night owl like myself. We were able to get seated last night at 11:15pm and order a full meal without an issue.
google avatar

Radha K.

Yelp
Tasty food, efficient late night delivery. Lots of vegetarian options of course. No complaints, honestly.

Yelp
Finally, South Indian food that tastes good!! Yayyy!! We had to drive to South bay to get some good South Indian food. Not anymore!! They have improved a lot since their early days. Aditi special Biryani is always in our take out order by default. Their chettinad curry, chicken 65 is just perfect. Beware of their Vijayawada Biryani. It is extremely spicy. Not for the faint hearted.. haha!! We have only ordered take out, so cannot comment on ambience or service. But if you are looking for some authentic South Indian food in SF, Aditi is the one!!
google avatar

Clara L.

Yelp
Decent curries. Most Indian places have tough chicken breast in their curries which I am not a big fan at all and end up not being able to eat them all sadly. But Aditi's chicken meats are tender and I made it extra spicy and it was the perfect spiciness for me.
google avatar

Yelp
We were in the neighborhood celebrating my wife's birthday - having spent a most enjoyable time at the Ivory and Vine piano bar, having some wine and appetizers. Still feeling hungry, we scouted the area and found this place. The menu looked good enough that the birthday girl decided we should eat there. Boy, were we disappointed!! The dosa was good, but the sambar and chutney left much to be desired. The tandoori chicken - which was billed as "two halves of chicken" turned out to be 4 drum-sticks which we could not tell if were made fresh or just heated on a grill before being served. The worst was, I ordered Lamb Roganjosh. What I got was clearly NOT roganjosh. It was a sour curry which was - to my reasonably knowledgeable mind - a vindaloo curry. Moreover, it had a piece of white matter which looked to me like a potato piece - which is standard in a Vindaloo. When I told the waiter, he immediately took it back to the kitchen and then a few minutes later brought it back to say that it WAS a roganjosh. He also said that that white item was actually a piece of fat!! Much later, he came back saying the chef said they had mistakenly added vinegar to the curry while prepping it for us. You could tell it was some bs story they'd come up with - and decide to stick with it. The fact that they found it acceptable to admit they had floating pieces of fat in their curries doesn't say much about the quality of their meat either. We didn't say anything further, not wanting to ruin the birthday evening. Last but not least - their restroom is located right at the entrance to the kitchen area - and neither the kitchen nor the restroom or the storage room you have to walk thru to get there - inspired any confidence that this was a very hygienic place where you would get fresh and clean food. Sadly tho', this is true of way too many Indian/ Pakistani restaurants in the Bay Area - so I wouldn't single these people out in that regard. All in all, a below-average place, especially for those who are familiar with good/ authentic Indian food.

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday afternoon with four friends. One craving Indian food, as there are only 2 Indian places where she lives. It wasn't too busy at the time and seemed casual inside. We ordered eggplant, chicken, and lamb dishes, raita, rice, 3 kinds of naan. (Forgive me for not remembering the exact names). But they were all amazing. Our server was very kind to help explain the dishes when we had questions and wanted to make sure everything was perfect for us. Thank you!

Jashan S.

Yelp
I have ordered takeouts quite a few times before and honestly it has always been good, the food was hot and properly packed but I ordered a paneer tikka combo today which had dal takda, it was horrible it has no spices not even salt and had lots of water in it. I don't think i would order any combo meal now.

Yelp
Wow! We had a wonderful meal here! Great food (including amazing biriyani!), good service, and a pleasant, elegant setting. My husband, 17 month old daughter, and I shared the following (we had plenty of leftovers): 1) Chicken 65 - flavorful, but not as spicy as this dish typically is 2) Gobi Manchurian - Excellent 3) Bhindi masala - good, but not a standout 4) Lamb biriyani - absolutely delicious; this was our favorite dish! The service was friendly and prompt. They were welcoming of our child, which we appreciated. The owner came by towards the end of the meal to ask us how we liked everything and seek feedback (as the restaurant is only 2 months old), which was nice. The setting is spacious and elegant. They had high chairs available, which we found helpful. Overall, we had a great meal here, and look forward to returning! Can't wait to have some more of that amazing biriyani, and also try the dosa!

Yelp
Food is amazing. We have had great service and have always enjoyed the food Best in the Bay Area
google avatar

Tejashree M.

Yelp
The egg dosa was really nice. It reminded me of Indian style omelette. The sambar did not have artificial flavors which was refreshing. Coconut chutney was yummy. The medu vada was crisp on outside and soft on the inside like it's supposed to be. I am interested in seeing how their menu evolves. The madras coffee was decent. I am looking forward to them expanding on their menu as they settle in this new area. I will come back...
google avatar

Mary H.

Yelp
What a great addition to our neighborhood! The food tasted fresh and every dish was flavorful. Spiciness was perfect for my palate but if you like spicier food, just ask! Wait staff was gracious and helpful. We especially loved the salt and pepper lamb, butter chicken and goat biryani.

Yelp
Finally a nice Indian restaurant which is not crazy expensive with really tasty food. I was looking for South Indian place and came across this place and we thought about giving it a try. Our order was - Veg Manchow Soup, Masala Dosa and Chicken Biryani. Veg Manchow Soup - It was good but super spicy, I personally didn't mind the heat so it's okay. To my surprise the portion size was pretty good for $4. I honestly wasn't expecting a decent quantity of soup for that price so it's totally value for money 2. Masala Dosa - Really tasty, perfect level of spice and fresh ingredients. 3. Chicken Biryani - Big portion size, I didn't try it but my husband said it was really nice. He did ask our server to adjust the spice level to medium spicy which was a good idea. Overall a good experience! Service was okay. I'd recommend this place.

Yelp
The ever increasing Indian Restaurant competition heats up again with this newest addition. Located in the old GarÇon location, this is a welcome addition to the neighborhood featuring South Indian Cuisine. There are many options on the menu, from small bites, vegetarian, entrees, dosas and more. The prices are fair, especially given the high price of rent likely at this location. They also offer Goat, which is not often found in restaurants in the city. Service was nice - not intrusive, not forgetful, and even, I think, a Chef or Owner walking around assessing his diners to ensure they are happy. A check in from the servers slightly more would be good, but they were busy on a Tuesday night and only have been open two weeks. I can't fault them yet! As always, we tend to order quite a bit when we find a new place. We had the okra fritters - not oily or overdone, nicely tender. A side of a dip might have pushed them over the top. Lamb Pepper fry was the bomb! Best dish of the night. Tender, nicely spiced and just yummy. Chicken Majestic was equally yummy. Both dishes were nicely proportioned. We then had the Goat Rohan Josh - sauce was yummy, goat was tender and the dish was nicely spiced. My only request would be to trim the goat a bit more. It needs some fat to be tender, but a little more trimming would have pushed this dish over the top. Goat meat yield however is difficult, so sacrificing more on trim would cut into the dish profitability I am sure. Nevertheless it was tasty and enjoyable and worth ordering. Wine selection is good, mid-range pricing. Dessert selection isn't built out - yet. The gentleman circulating through checking on everyone promised more to come. I give them 4 stars, only so I have a place to move them up to at the next visit, which will happen for sure - too many tasty sounding options I want to try!!

Yelp
We just ate here on Saturday and it was amazing! My husband and my in-laws had planned to eat at Beretta for my birthday but didn't want to wait 45 minutes and luckily, we had walked by this place and it smelled SO good, we ditched our plans and came here instead. Spinach & Cheese Samosas: Dee-licious. They served 4 and they were plated beautifully, I'm now kicking myself for not snapping a pic. Was too hungry. :| Butter Chicken: Came with rice, was amazing and I was very sad that we were all sharing food because I wanted this all to myself. Nice rich flavors, creamy and dreamy. Pistachio Veg Korma: I'd never had this before, but it was great. It looks a bit like mushy pea something or other, but we all know that Indian food doesn't look nearly as amazing as it tastes. I'm not sure what veggies were in here but I snagged as many of the potatoes as I could as they were cooked perfectly and coated in all that delicious pistachio sauce. Masala Dosa: I had never seen this before, it's a ridiculously long rice crepe filled with spiced potatoes. The crepe itself was light and airy and was a great substitute for naan when we ran out of that. The only complaint with this item is that it was comically long and it almost didn't fit on our super packed table of items. Also all the potatoes are only in the middle, which makes sense, but just be aware. Filling was good though! Naan: Great, can't complain, pretty standard (we got the plain). Masala Chai: Same! Nice and warm on a breezy SF evening. Service/Dessert: A+ We didn't have to wait long for anything even though the place started to fill up once we sat down. The owner was super friendly and even brought us two little plates of some kind of dessert before we left, on the house. I tried to ask what it was but I couldn't quite catch the name. I looked it up and it looks similar to Halva? Halwa? - but I could be completely wrong. It was sticky and tasted a bit like cinnamon but wasn't overly sweet. I would totally order it next time if I knew what it was. The only thing I would suggest is fixing up the bathroom a little bit. Everything else is really nice but the bathroom needs some love, it wasn't dirty, but it didn't get the same TLC as the rest of the place did. Prices were pretty reasonable, especially for some of the places in that area! I think the most you'll pay for anything is like 18 bucks and that's for seafood. Overall, super glad we ditched Beretta and came here. :)

Yelp
I just had a lovely lunch at this inviting space. The staff are warm and patient, the food was better than I was hoping for with a light sweetness to the tikka masala that surprised and delighted. The chicken was perfectly cooked and fell apart. I have nothing but praise for this restaurant and am grateful to the staff.
