"An institution in the region, this is a truly charming restaurant, which the owners have been running with dedication for over 10 years now. Chef-patron Holger Stehr serves up his interesting take on modern cuisine in the form of a five- to eight-course set menu, skilfully combining building on classic French foundations with Far Eastern-Japanese influences. Diners are welcomed by hostess Martina Kraemer-Stehr, who is trained as a sommelier and responsible for the friendly and proficient service. The wine list and recommendations are also compelling – you can look forward to wines by the glass that are beautifully matched to the individual dishes on the set menu. Tip: Consider booking the pretty guestroom in the charming sandstone pavilion set in the Admiral Garden. In summer, it is also pleasant to dine on the romantic terrace laid out here in the garden." - Michelin Inspector

The hotel is good, but: We experienced something unbelievable last night. The hotel itself is good, but what happened was far from normal. Around 4:00 in the morning, some drug addict was knocking and banging on random doors in the hallway. He was crying, screaming, and laughing in a creepy way, and it went on for more than an hour. In the morning, we spoke with another guest, who said the addict had also knocked on his door. He told us he would never come back here again.

Small rooms, comfy bed, kept clean, (could pay more attention to the detailed cleaning but the floors, sinks, showers and toilets were clean). Beds made up daily. Inexpensive option for a week or so at maybe 40% the price of a Moxy or Motel One. No facilities like a bar, breakfast available for extra but not worth it, just go to cafe on the zoo and grab a coffee and croissant.

1. The phone number provided on Booking-dot-com website cannot be reached, nobody picked up the phone. There is a different number at the hotel door. 2. The check-in time on Booking-dot-com is different from the actual time noted on the hotel door. I had a delay flight so I requested them for a late check-in, they did not response, I couldn’t reach them neither by phone call nor messenger. I had to asked Booking Customer Service to help, the hotel did not response them either. 3. The staff is unhelpful, impolite, rude. They gave me a code to open the lock box to pick up the key via phone call, instead of sending me e-mail. The lock box was broken, unable to open, staff refused to come and fix it in person. They even thought I was dumb and couldn’t understand the code correctly, they “ordered” me to go find some German speaking people on the street to listen to their phone, although I can speak both English and German with them. It was 23:30 at that time :) They told me this was not their problem, and asked me to go find other hotel even though I alread paid this reservation. I stood outside at midnight for 1 hour. It was not until I threatened them to call the police that finally they sent someone over. I got in my room after midnight. 4. When I complaint to the receptionist about this inconvenience, they just simply refused their responsibility, they did not apologize me at all nor any kind of compensation. This is the worst service ever!

SCAMMERS! upon arrival we’re told they’ve got some pluming problems and can’t give us the room. We’re offered a room at another hotel near the train station which is a very bad area and opposite to where we wanted to stay. When we said we did not want to change hotels and would like a refund we were told they cannot do it until Monday due to the manager not being there and there was nothing else they could do to help. We have called the hotel several times and still did not get a positive answer.

Overall a ok experience. The staff is nice and the location is ideal (public transport, quiet area...) but the room was not perfectly clean (dust here and there, dirty bed side drawers, stains...)

Horrible. We had a room for 3 pax, 2 nights. We enter the first day and the stink was immediately evident. The bathroom stank like smoke despite this being a non-smoking room. We found red stains on one pillow case, hair inside the bedsheets of the second bed and the third bed's structure was broken (photo). The pillows inside had yellow stains all over. The bedsheets smelled bad, like they had already been used. The curtain was broken. The shower was clogged. Then we noticed the DUST. It was like snow, it covered every surface and one of my friends was allergic. Too bad the reception CLOSES in the afternoon (3pm on weekends) so we could not complain or tell anyone. We cleaned up as we could that night. In the morning I spoke to the receptionist who was "deeply sorry" and assured me the room would be thoroughly cleaned, bedsheets changed (since obviously they didn't from the previous guests) and the broken bed changed. We come back on the second evening (last night of our stay) and reception is, once again, empty. The bedsheets were the same (same stains etc.), everything was exactly the same (dust, shower, curtains, stains etc.), only the bed was changed. But since it was Saturday night and as there was nothing else available in another hotels in the area, we had to stay, once again, and sleep in that nightmare. I requested for a refund and I was promised 30% or the total amount and the hotel refunded me 2 Euros less (as a sign of spite for my complaints?!?). I have videos while I pass my finger on the bedside table and showing how much dust I collect but video files are not allowed. Also, the walls are very thin and you can hear people coughing or talking in other rooms and other doors closing are so noisy and clearly audible (they woke us up several times in the two nights). I cannot tell how disgusting that room was and how bad that made our stay in Frankfurt. Don't go even if this is the only room in the city, you will seriously catch diseases here.

A simples and cool hotel next to the Zoo and the Underground. The place is near a beautiful Square with flowers and a fountain. Is good for business trips or vacation for singles people travelling alone. No luxury but is neat and Nice. Is a good cost and benefit match.

Yelp
A hotel with a great price/service value. It's one of the cheapest hotels in Frankfurt's city, but comes with well equipped rooms. Very sufficient if you're only looking for a place to spend the night. Our room was very "modern" with mainly white and bordeaux red polished furniture, which made it look a bit pale. Our friend's room looked a bit more welcoming with it's light blue wood-style furniture. The rooms didn't have any soundproofing whatsoever, so it might get a bit noisy on occasion. But from what I've heard, even a 4-5 star hotel in Frankfurt might suffer from the same problem. Our room included a small bathroom with shower, basic toiletries and plenty of towels were provided. The breakfast was acceptable and will get you through the day. I had the bad luck of getting a bun from the previous day which they obviously threw into the basket with the fresh ones, which was almost hard. The staff was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Yelp
Ugh.... I would never stay here again. First of all our reception was horrible. I felt the guy was rude and unprofessional. Later in the day it was a different girl, I asked if there was an AC in the room, and she said no, it doesn't get that hot here. Ok, well I'm hot and uncomfortable in my room, so yeah it does get hot here. I then asked to borrow a fan and well, they didn't have those either. So in order to stay there, I had to go buy one which helped because then the air could circulate in the room. The walls were all scuffed up and dirty, carpet was dirty, there were pee stains on the mattress, and the glass in the bathroom had a hair in it when I started using it. I'm not one to complain, but this place was a total dive. The breakfast was probably the best part and the girls in the breakfast room were so sweet. There was one overnight front desk worker who was really kind too. Otherwise, I would never stay here again. The pictures are very deceiving.
