They don’t serve food until 4 PM, but the bakery selection is beautiful, abundant, fresh, and delicious. With a tea or coffee, it’s hard to choose just one thing. We ended up selecting a quiche from their refrigerator, which they heated for us, and some pastries. It’s a lovely place for a quiet chat with friends over house-made delights. Already planning to return. May take home some fresh bread next time. Highly recommend.

Google
Vinocruz for the absolute WIN! I've been to Vino Cruz many times to enjoy their vast yet wonderfully curated wine menu. But tonight was the first time my husband and I went to dine, and we were blown away! We were out and about and were lucky to get a reservation on a Friday 20 mins out on Open Table. Which was great because we were famished. We arrived close to 10 mins early and were seated right away by a very friendly and inviting gentleman. Within 2 minutes our lovely server Sergio greeted us with menus and waters. I opted for the local Martin Ranch Cab which was delicious and my husband ordered a Centr CBD drink (which we both loved was a drink option). Drinks came out FAST. I ordered - ARCHIES ACHIOTE CHICKEN CIABATTA SANDWICH that comes with an incredibly seasoned chicken thigh (my fave cut), pickled jalapeños (don't shy away they aren't spicy), napa cabbage curtido and the most complimentary cilantro crema sauce. The chicken was tender, seasoned beautifully, and every topping had a purpose that elevated the whole sandwich. I robbed my husband of some of his burger lettuce, just because I love it on a sandwich, but it really wasn't necessary. It's a sexy sandwich y'all! My husband ordered - THE VINO BURGER!!! Are you kidding me with this mind blowing burger?! This is an explosion of flavor. You may just be thinking - it's just a burger. Oh no friends. It's like all of the best parts of a charcuterie board and a burger got together, and had a baby that went on to win a Nobel Prize. The beef in itself is starting at a top notch. Then the truffle Brie that is the perfect amount of real truffle flavor. Not that overwhelming fake flavor you so often find. Paired with pickled red onion, bacon and rosemary garlic mayo. 🤤 I'm going to dream about this burger. The CHILI SCENTED FINGERLINGS that come as a side serve as the best backup dancers to these star dishes. Complimentary without stealing the show. Perfectly cooked, and I wish more places offered this option as a side. Loved them! EVERYTHING PAIRED PERFECTLY WITH THE WINE. They know what they're doing! Super attentive service, huge wine selection and the best local beers offered, food you'll be craving and sad when you finished because the experience is done. All of this for UNDER $60 before tip!! 😍 Don't sleep on Vino Cruz y'all!! I know I won't again.

I had a great experience at Vino Cruz with my party of 6 +1 baby. They were very accommodating and even gave us an extra glass of rosé because they didn’t hear one of our orders (which they quickly got out to us after we mentioned). The food was also fabulous. We got the cheese plate and 2 flat bread pizzas and crab cakes. Every glass of wine we had was beautiful too. Lovely relaxing atmosphere as well. Highly recommend this place.

We had a beautiful dinner at Vinocruz. Their meatballs were so good and I could not believe how delicious the Brussell sprouts with grits were. We had a board with cheeses and meat, very nice. The service is amazing! Whenenver I come back to Santa Cruz, Vinocruz will be part of my itinerary!

I am sorry to have to post this, but I feel like I would have wanted an honest review to follow. Maybe it was the time of day we went at 3pm on a Tuesday during Happy Hour (glasses of “vino” not included), but the food and service was lackluster to say the least. The man behind the bar admitted not knowing what he was doing. The food was bland af. He asked how it was and I told him it was so so and used the universal hand gesture to confirm what I was saying and he just walked away. Never asked what was wrong (no salt, everything was dry and mushy). The owner was sitting at the end just staring at my husband after she caught on that we were not digging it. We felt very unwelcome like we just walked into someone’s personal home office. They charged us full price. We did not tip. I’m so disappointed to write this and I hope this helps the restaurant improve. The outside and decor inside was lovely. Part 2 (post restaurant response): Thank you for your response. It seems there were a few miscommunications about wine being on happy hour. The man behind the bar told me it’s just on beer on tap and fish tacos and then he gave me a menu to back it up. I asked for wine on happy hour, but no dice. If ur not the owner, there’s someone at the end of the bar with a computer who the man behind the bar claims to be dating so unsure what’s going on there, but apologies for the assumption. My comments about the chef describe a feeling of incompetence. I could be wrong, but I also tasted the food. Discrimination is not something I need to avoid as a paying customer. That sounds like more your problem employing him. It was more than a social queue that let your man behind the bar know. Two people saying it wasn’t good should be enough to prompt an inquiry, but he avoided the situation. It sounds like your response is combative and not well received so I’ll let it go. We went to the grocery store after and just gave up. Going to enjoy some of those infamous artichokes from the local farmers instead. One last question, the catch of the day was red snapper. Who caught that? Send me your email and I’d be happy to discuss further.

Wonderful experience at Vino Cruz, made extra special by personal attention from the manager, Sally. We feasted on rosemary roasted nuts while sipping our wine in the lovely outdoor seating area. Their menu is more vast than we had realized, we will come back for lunch soon.

Great place for wine and food. I really enjoyed their flatbreads and the fish tacos were delicious. Brandon was our server and totally killed it. Knows his wines and didn't steer us wrong on the beers or wine.

We’ve been here a few times. The first few times were very good to great. The last couple of times it was average. The charcuterie this time was average at best. It used to be a signature dish. The Caesar salad is still good. The burger was overcooked and very well done. Great wine list Service was good.
