"It is well worth coming to this small restaurant inside the impressive building designed by architectural firm Robertneun in the Lokdepot development. In the kitchen located on a gallery above the guests, Igor Kazakov turns out classic dishes with a modern, creative twist. There is a small à la carte menu with dishes designed for sharing – appetising options include "zander, spinach, horseradish" and "onion, hay, Jerusalem artichoke". The restaurant adheres to a sustainable philosophy and uses only regional and seasonal ingredients. As hinted at by the decorative preserving jars on display, fermented foods also play an important role. In the restaurant, which is decorated in a minimalist style with clean lines, wood and earth tones, the limited seats are distributed around a few small tables, a larger communal table in the centre and the bar/counter. There is a neighbourly atmosphere with a personal touch, and the front-of-house team is friendly and knowledgeable. They are also happy to advise on drinks – there is an exciting selection." - Michelin Inspector

The 25 Best Restaurants In Berlin - Berlin - The Infatuation

"Judas tree flowers and Oxalis leaves probably weren’t high on the list of things you thought you’d be sampling in Berlin. But interesting ingredients you never knew existed are on full display at Aerde. In addition to showcasing local produce grown in the forests and fields of Brandenburg, there’s also a focus on fermentation, with pickled elderflower and fermented trout showing up in dishes, and mason jars of pickles and ferments lining the walls. The menu changes about every two weeks, and whatever’s been growing or fermenting over the past few months will be on it. Depending on the time of year, you’ll either be seated inside the communal dining room or outside on the cobbled street, watching the S-bahn rattle past." - olivia ladanyi

What a lovely evening. Superb food, very very interesting. We just had Berlin grown Safron. Very unique cooking. Absolutely wonderful staff. That part of Friday was quite a treat. Highly recommended. Anytime again. Thank you!

Google
We chose aerde because we wanted a dinner of local produce we wouldn’t be able to enjoy anywhere else, and we certainly enjoyed it! Each dish was unique and enjoyable even with familiar concepts because of the extremely localized ingredients. We loved the oysters, the carrots and goat cheese, and the monkfish, but really everything was great. The servers were totally friendly and fun, and everything down to even the bathroom was great to admire.

Great experience through and through. From the wonderfully warm service, the low key atmosphere, the beautifully soothing interior, the flavor profiles, comforting textures and surprising, inventive combinations. The human element is the foundation, you can really feel the passion and the competence seep into each dish and every interaction. Ethically sourced, regional, well-researched, wholesome, sustainable, nose-to-tail approach. It fuels imagination and brings back memories of visiting the actual places where the raw materials are sourced from. I can't even imagine the amount of hard work that goes into this unique endeavor. Further, the fervor poured into the presentation is extremely refreshing, as a total departure from the Berliner customer service (or lack thereof) you will be well take care of, almost pampered, in a congenial, sincere, earnest, non-pretentious yet extremely literate kind of way, putting the capital H back in hospitality. You can tell there is a very sharp, crystal clear vision behind it. This is up there with the best in town (top 5 now for yours truly). Good value also. A place to come back to over and over at each menu rotation.

The location itself has a wonderful cozy and chic atmosphere at the same time. We were there during sundowner, which created a great light. The owner and service are very attentive and unbelievably friendly—they take time for you and your questions. We felt very welcomed. Taste-wise, the food was delicious, but I expected a bit more sophistication for the price range. Nothing really surprised me, but perhaps that's not the concept of this restaurant. Technically, the food was well-prepared, and the drinks are excellent. Our favorites were the turnip, venison tartar, and the pastry with poppies. The lilac spritz was also very good. After 8 savory dishes and 2 desserts, there was still room for more, but we were not hungry anymore. There are a few small things to improve: - I would have loved to have small plates for each person from the beginning (sometimes things were hard to share). - The holes in the center of the small tables are impractical.

Google
had an amazing 4 course dinner. the staff was super nice friendly and welcoming. all dishes were beautifully presented and tasted delicious, the mix of flavours was really fun and the menu is based on seasonal ingredients which i love. i had 2 dishes with radish, both were excellent and tasted very different from one another, an oyster mushroom dish, then the star of the show was the bread pudding. it was an overall fantastic meal, the restaurant itself is beautiful and so are the dishes. highly recommend

This restaurant is an absolute must-visit! From the first bite to the last sip, everything was spot on. The venison tartare was perfectly balanced in flavor and texture, the oysters were incredibly fresh, and both the pike-perch and braised ox cheeks were simply top-notch—rich, tender, and full of depth. The atmosphere is intimate and inviting, making you feel at home right away. The crew is both highly professional and genuinely friendly, creating a relaxed yet refined dining experience. What truly sets this place apart is its unique interior. From the carefully chosen furniture to the calm, muted color palette, every detail feels intentional. Even the tableware tells a story—broken ceramics have been lovingly restored with Kintsugi, turning imperfections into beauty. A true culinary highlight in Berlin. Don’t hesitate—go!
