"It is well worth coming to this small restaurant inside the impressive building designed by architectural firm Robertneun in the Lokdepot development. In the kitchen located on a gallery above the guests, Igor Kazakov turns out classic dishes with a modern, creative twist. There is a small à la carte menu with dishes designed for sharing – appetising options include "zander, spinach, horseradish" and "onion, hay, Jerusalem artichoke". The restaurant adheres to a sustainable philosophy and uses only regional and seasonal ingredients. As hinted at by the decorative preserving jars on display, fermented foods also play an important role. In the restaurant, which is decorated in a minimalist style with clean lines, wood and earth tones, the limited seats are distributed around a few small tables, a larger communal table in the centre and the bar/counter. There is a neighbourly atmosphere with a personal touch, and the front-of-house team is friendly and knowledgeable. They are also happy to advise on drinks – there is an exciting selection." - Michelin Inspector

Aerde - Review - Kreuzberg - Berlin - The Infatuation

"Judas tree flowers and Oxalis leaves probably weren’t high on the list of things you thought you’d be sampling in Berlin. But interesting ingredients you never knew existed are on full display at Aerde. In addition to showcasing local produce grown in the forests and fields of Brandenburg, there’s also a focus on fermentation, with pickled elderflower and fermented trout showing up in dishes, and mason jars of pickles and ferments lining the walls. The menu changes about every two weeks, and whatever’s been growing or fermenting over the past few months will be on it. Depending on the time of year, you’ll either be seated inside the communal dining room or outside on the cobbled street, watching the S-bahn rattle past, plotting your impending foraging career." - Olivia Ladanyi

This restaurant is an absolute must-visit! From the first bite to the last sip, everything was spot on. The venison tartare was perfectly balanced in flavor and texture, the oysters were incredibly fresh, and both the pike-perch and braised ox cheeks were simply top-notch—rich, tender, and full of depth. The atmosphere is intimate and inviting, making you feel at home right away. The crew is both highly professional and genuinely friendly, creating a relaxed yet refined dining experience. What truly sets this place apart is its unique interior. From the carefully chosen furniture to the calm, muted color palette, every detail feels intentional. Even the tableware tells a story—broken ceramics have been lovingly restored with Kintsugi, turning imperfections into beauty. A true culinary highlight in Berlin. Don’t hesitate—go!

Fantastic restaurant with the best team ever! We found the restaurant by chance and it has been one of the best experience ever! The design is super cool, the food is masterfully prepared by the chef using only local poducts. The organic wines are a perfect match with the food. What made the experience a memorable one was the amazing service of Hanna and her colleague! What a fantastic night!!! We will be back soon! Thank you from the Italian guys!!!

Erde is a beautiful restaurant hidden in a cobblestone driveway in Schöneberg. Its south-facing orientation makes it an absolute must to return in the summer to enjoy the stunning view of the sunset. The experience continues just as wonderfully inside. The small, beautifully designed restaurant impresses with seasonal and regional products, which are served to guests with great craftsmanship. The whole experience is accompanied by an excellent selection of wines, as well as non-alcoholic drinks like homemade kombucha. The team is not only highly skilled but also exceptionally friendly, making you feel as if you’re at home eating with friends. A visit is highly recommended!

Very hard review to write. On one hand I got served one of the most stunning dishes I’ve ever seen, on the other hand I feel the experience overall was a bit inconsistent. Food-wise, there are some high highs and average dishes (chicken dish and desserts). The interior design is probably one of the best I’ve seen in the city! I have feedback on the seating. Our party of five, with a reservation, was seated at a small table, with one person uncomfortably placed near the restroom. Although staff tried to help, this should’ve been planned better. The sharing menu also felt imbalanced for five people, making it hard to share with the table setup. Perhaps limiting reservations to 2 or 4 people could improve this. That said, I’m still curious to return, maybe during a different season, as the staff suggested.

I was absolutely blown away by the experience at Aerde. The food, service, and wine were all impeccable. The plating style was refreshingly simple yet perfectly executed, keeping the focus where it belongs—on the taste, which was easily a 10 out of 10. The venison tartare was hands-down the best I’ve ever had, and I’m saying that as someone who orders tartare almost every chance I get. The kitchen here has a unique creative intelligence; each dish was crafted with an exceptional level of harmony. Surprising ingredients made appearances in ways I never would have expected, but they worked perfectly with every bite. I couldn’t decide what to order because everything on the menu sounded amazing, so I asked the server to surprise me with dishes and wine pairings. Every dish was introduced with detailed explanations, and the stories behind each wine were fascinating, making the pairings feel incredibly thoughtful and compatible. In short, this was an unforgettable culinary experience with outstanding service. The staff here have a passion for their craft that comes across in every aspect of the meal. Aerde is truly a gem. Thank you for this unique experience!

The location itself has a wonderful cozy and chic atmosphere at the same time. We were there during sundowner, which created a great light. The owner and service are very attentive and unbelievably friendly—they take time for you and your questions. We felt very welcomed. Taste-wise, the food was delicious, but I expected a bit more sophistication for the price range. Nothing really surprised me, but perhaps that's not the concept of this restaurant. Technically, the food was well-prepared, and the drinks are excellent. Our favorites were the turnip, venison tartar, and the pastry with poppies. The lilac spritz was also very good. After 8 savory dishes and 2 desserts, there was still room for more, but we were not hungry anymore. There are a few small things to improve: - I would have loved to have small plates for each person from the beginning (sometimes things were hard to share). - The holes in the center of the small tables are impractical.

The location alone is a dream, the service more than cordial, the wine selection great and the menu something out of the box. I can only recommend trying everything and enjoying a fine dining menu in a relaxed atmosphere with a very fair pricing. The kohlrabi and pickles were a highlight - highly recommended!
