Last night, my wife and I had dinner at After Seven for a special treat on our last night in Zermatt. To be sure, it's a pricy experience, but it was absolutely worth it for us.
The culinary experience was beyond our elevated expectations. The chef's creativity was truly amazing and featured so much variety. 13 or 14 small plates in all! And the wine pairing was a great compliment to each plate.
But beyond the food, the service was spectacular. They worked together as a seamless team to serve our food at a relaxed pace, so that we could savor each plate. They clearly enjoyed their role in this culinary experience.
I want to give special shout out to Bryan. He had just been promoted to being a full server and we had the privilege of being one of his very first customers. He was from Colombia and spoke really good English. He was very articulate and had a great sense of humor. He created an engaging environment that added a lot to the experience of the meal. After Seven is lucky to have this young man working for them. And we were lucky to have him as our server.
