Love this place, feels like home. Bobby and the crew were instantly new besties. I even love the food and I’m not even VEGAN. Good drinks, good vibes, made some real deal friends here just hanging out.

Bar Afterlife with Gnarly’s is the perfect combo. I love the vibes of the bar and Bobby the bartender is such a cool dude. Cocktails are delicious and perfect with a tasty Gnarly’s burger and fries. They were able to help with ordering gluten free fries also! Highly recommend this spot.

Enjoyed the soup, cocktails, good service and the inside felt like a cool club. When more people fill the space, seems like an optimal spot to chill and dance.

Cool new bar! The vibes and drinks are good and apparently there will eventually be djs and dancing 💃🕺I’m happy to see vegan options on the menu!

This year for my birthday, we had the special opportunity to attend the opening night of a new Bar lounge called "Afterlife," thanks to my husband's friend. We wanted to keep it light so we got their Vegan Niçoise Salad and wow, it was delicious! The drinks were a hit too, all with super creative names. Very cute bar, friendly bartender and the best old fashioned I've ever had. It's a wonderful place to see a band play in an intimate setting for enjoy a nice little side market!

We came in during the day, and decided to try the non alcoholic menu and some coffee. It was incredible, the coffee was so good, and the drinks were amazing. It was a perfect blend of pineapple, coconut and a little mint. It was hydrating and filling. I want that recipe! We came back later for an event and let me just tell you, the cocktails are amazing! Especially the mescal drinks. Its a tricky liquor, but they have it dialed in! I cant wait to come back and try some of the vegan menu! You can tell theres a lot of love poured into this place, you really should come check it out!

LOVE this place!!! I can"t express how much this place has made feel excited every time I show up. The drinks are amazing and made with lots of love. The owner is an amazing soul and truly cares about pleasing the customers. They have DJs on the weekend and karaoke on Thursdays . Please support this local gem when you get a chance!!!

Wonderful new place on Hawthorne. I wasn't sure it was open, but it is, they are putting out a sign , I'm told. Had the best time doing karaoke, so welcoming and fun. The KJ was very supportive of you doing your thing . Great atmosphere and the owner , Bobby was very friendly and so open to having dialog about numerous topics. I recommend this place , it is a new jem .

Afterlife. Portland showing you what eclectic is all about! A solid neighborhood spot, where folks are drawn by the music and ambiance. A diverse haven, that let's you escape, and just enjoy a good night out. Owner/staff and talented DJ's are cool af! Not to mention their refreshing libations. Ya'll gotta check this spot out!
