Step into the Landmark London, a century-old gem in Marylebone where you can enjoy enchanting afternoon tea amidst towering palm trees and elegant piano tunes.
"The Landmark London is a Marylebone hotel that’s been around for over a century, and this five-star spot is a luxurious experience as soon as you walk through the huge wooden doors. The main dining area—the Winter Garden Restaurant—is where afternoon tea is served. Natural light pours through the glass ceiling into the atrium and the high palm trees will make you forget you’re sat inside. The clientele is a mix of holiday go-ers who haven’t been briefed on the correct way to eat a scone, and formal-looking business lunches where everyone is trying their best to impress. It’s not the best afternoon tea in London, in fact it’s pretty disappointing. The sandwiches are a little boring, and the lemon scones don’t pair as well with clotted cream and jam, as traditional plain ones do. Yes, it’s a gorgeous room, but it’s not worth spending over £70 to spend time in it. photo credit: Rianne Shlebak" - Rianne Shlebak
