Afters Ice Cream

Afters is an ice cream shop that serves various sweet ice cream flavors with a thick ice cream texture. The one that we visited was so strategic as it's located in Hollywood Boulevard. They provide dine-in service. Afters' merchandise is also available here. My friend recommended Cookie Monster, so we had a scoop of it for $5.95. This blue-colored ice cream, just like the color of the Cookie Monster character, is served in a cup. It's a vanilla-based ice cream with Famous Amos cookies, Oreos, and fudge. The taste is sweet, but it still suits my taste buds. It's not overly sweet.

Great experience here. Some interesting and tasty options. Super friendly and helpful staff during our visit. Very inviting environment. Modern and well-maintained space. Reasonably priced given the tourist-driven area. Metered parking on Hollywood Blvd. or the side streets.

Perfect spot to visit to kill a sweet tooth. Clean. Discreet. Delicious. This one of the better ice cream shops that my wife and I visit In the Los Angeles area. The staff is super friendly. They offer take home pints if you don't want a bowl or a cone or a donut. There are a out 20 flavors of ice cream to choose from including a couple vegan options. Best part about them is that they're open late! There is parking in the nearby area, but it can be difficult to park at times. Perfect spot for a late night date/sweet tooth. It's priced fairly. I don't believe they have a rewards program to get free ice cream.

Love this place, came on a hot day and it was pretty hot inside, considering they sell ice cream. Very sweet cool worker, Vira, made us feel very welcomed and went above and beyond for us. Very good ice cream!

Made a quick stop for ice cream before catching a show at the Pantages Theater. Tried the cookie butter and cookies ’n cream—both were delicious! Even though the location is in a busy area, it wasn’t too crowded, making it a perfect pre-show treat.

With summer approaching I have decided to find the best Ice Cream in LA! One of my buddies mentioned Afters Ice Cream saying it’s the best in LA! I stopped in today a bit disappointed that I didn’t hear a dope sound track blasting from the speakers but I still decided to give them a chance. The staff super friendly willing to let me taste any flavor I wanted (I didn’t taste any I’m an OG I live with my choices) and showing me different options from Scoops, milkshake and even a float! BEST ICE CREAM IN LA! I cannot confirm this yet! But compared to the other spots I’ve had it’s in the top 10 for sure! (YES I ATE BOTH OF THESE) 🤣😂

This Afters Ice Cream is located on Hollywood Blvd. right next to the Pantages Theater and other great places to go. Parking is on the street or you can park in a nearby lot. The service here is just the best. The staff is great and even though it may be crowded, the line moves fast. You can take your ice cream with you or enjoy it there. The place is always super clean and they just don't have an ice cream that is not great and they have selections you will not see elsewhere. They will also put your ice cream in a glazed donut if you want. It is the best, but it is super fulling so be careful or you might need a Tums. They have cute merch and will make shacks if you want. They have everything in the way of ice cream, so many toppings and all fresh. You will love this place.

i really came here from tiktok. it was all over lists for los angeles, so my visit was secured here. i had their scoop of 'Cookie Monster', with cookie crisps as an add on to it. blue chocolate? cookies? with extra cookies? this cup of ice cream filled my craving for sure, but the ambiance was just as nice not too busy when we came in Sunday night, and take in mind: ONLY CARD PAYMENTS

Delicious! But this location CANCELS my orders almost every time. It's so strange! They have cancelled my orders about twenty times now with no explanation. I've only experienced this with the Hollywood location. Terrible customer service. Order from a different location, this one sucks. Afters Hollywood, why do you do this? If you're out of something, take it off the menu instead. Obvs.

My grandson loves, just loves, Afters Ice Cream. They have all the odd flavors he loves and a large selection of toppings. It is right down the street from the Pantages Theater so a great place to go before a show or after. It is always clean and the line moves fast. What I love is the service. The server is always so nice, we have met him before. He is kind and patient with my speech delayed grandson. He is just super cool. Parking is a bear, but there is a public lot nearby or you can try to find a place on the street. Personally. they no longer have even one flavor I want. I tried the brownie chocolate and tossed it. Not their fault I just did not like it. I want some of the standards, like chocolate ice cream. Please bring it back. They have some counter seating and the place is always spotless.

We stopped by here after visiting Funko, and the wide variety of flavors immediately caught our eye! We tried several, and all of them were delicious. We ultimately went with the mango sorbet, On Cloud, Dark Matter Brownie Batter, and (I think) Cookie Monster. Every flavor was great! I was excited to try the Dubai Chocolate flavor, but unfortunately, it was sold out that day--maybe next time! The mango sorbet, in particular, was incredibly fresh--it tasted just like biting into a real mango! The one downside is that it's a bit on the pricey side, especially if you're going with a larger family, so that's something to keep in mind. Also, there's limited seating inside, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. Overall, though, we enjoyed all the flavors we had and would definitely return!

I don't think Afters is quite what it used to be. Stopped by the other night and ordered a double scoop cup with Madagascar Vanilla and Dark Matter Brownie for $8. They give great portion sizes which is nice, and the ice cream is super creamy and soft. The flavors and mix ins however are where it's lacking. I remember the Dark Matter Brownie being full of brownie batter chunks and having a really strong chocolate flavor. Now? It's just slightly chocolatey and I had maybe two bites of brownie. The vanilla was also very mild. Hardly a "vanilla" flavor let alone Madagascar specific, and it seemed more like a milk flavored ice cream.

Stopped by after a fun day trip to Hollywood and tried the killer chocolate brownie and it was great! The service was great and very calm ambiance. If you're in the area highly recommend.

I love this spot! They have great quality ice cream from their cool rotating flavor to their base flavors of vanilla and chocolate!

Afters is always my go to spot for ice cream. The milky bun with Cookie Monster and chocolate chip cookies is my usual go to. This time I decided to get a 2 scoop mangonada sorbet. It was delicious as always! The LA storefront on Hollywood Blvd is a decent size, with a merch stand inside that sells super cute merch. The service was quick and friendly, and I would definitely still recommend Afters to everyone after all of the years I've been going.

A lot of good flavors and good music played. Wasn't busy when we visited. One guy working and he was nice. Let us try a lot of flavors before deciding which ones we wanted.

Go here! If you are trying to pick a dessert place, trust me, this is where you wanna go. Staff was very friendly and let me try a few flavors before I picked. I honestly enjoyed every flavor that I tried here. I ended up getting the Cookie Butter and the Killer Chocolate Brownie because I thought they would work well together and I was absolutely right! Such a great combination! My other top flavor was the Ube Brownie. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often!

The Aang's spirit moon matcha was so good, the pandan chiffon cake in the mix was great. The staff was super helpful and let me try every flavor till I fully decided n getting the collab flavor. It's right on Hollywood Blvd across the street from the pantages and amoeba so it's in a location that you can go to get some good ice cream. It's nice and clean inside.

I'm usually skeptical of ice cream places, but Afters has some really delicious flavors and quality of ice cream. Great milkshakes and great workers! Had a great experience here!

Nice place to cool down with friendly service. I got a scoop of the Saigon Coffee and it's delicious with strong vietnamese coffee flavor. I was considering buying a pint it was so good.

Amazing ice cream and great service. Wish the outside seating had better pest control, but that is not Afters' fault. Would absolutely come here again.

Worth the drive and hassle to find parking! They have fun and innovative flavors you won't find other places. It's very approachable and I assume kids would love the flavors a lot more than other ice cream places that have more "adult" specialty flavors.

Absolutely loved this place and their variety of flavors! My friend got the cookie butter in a waffle cone and I did the Cookie Monster, which they are most popular for. Their service was fast and I thought the prices weren't as high as some ice cream spots in LA. The only con is parking is not great, but I'm sure this location gets a lot of foot traffic as it's on Hollywood Blvd. Despite the long hunt for parking, I will be back!

This ice cream spot has so many fun, cute, flavors based on things like cookies and brownies. The ice cream is good, the portions are fair for the price, and the staff is so friendly. There are about 4 seats inside, but there is a fair amount of seating outside in the area next to the shop.

My friend ordered ice cream from this unprofessional place, and lo and behold they took 2 hours to deliver 3 pints of ice cream. First and foremost how dare these employees try to deliver 3 pints without spoons, I think that this ice cream place has bad management that doesn't know how to make sure his employees have a sense of urgency when delivering anything. Second the ice cream may be good, however it wasn't on time. Therefore y'all lost some loyal customers. Next time make sure y'all don't mess anybody's order and next time have some sense of urgency. Lastly I give this place -1/10

I am a huge consumer of ice cream but I'd rather go other places when I'm around. I do think their ice cream is good tho, I am disappointed by the cheap policy of tasting. I visit often different gelaterias and this one is def on the cheap end. I think that a place that doesn't generously offer nice scoops of tasting to the crowd is not a place I'd rather go to when I crave ice cream. But I would mention that for the flavour I'd give then 4.5-5 stars.

Really good ice cream if you're ever in the Hollywood area! I love coming here after watching a show at the Pantages theatre. Pre-covid, they let you sample flavors and I tried a lot of their unique ones. I'm not sure if they still allow samples due to covid. I highly recommend the Dark Matter flavor for any lovers of chocolate!

The strawberry cookie and salted oero was amazing. Good service and was located near the W hotel where we stayed.

My first time at afters and cedar really took care off boyfriend and I, I got the cookie butter and one that looked like confetti cake (forgot the name) but I loved it so much omg! It just might be my favorite ice cream spot now! Thanks cedar!

Update: I'm glad I came back and can update this review to a positive experience. I saw the same gentleman this time with his hair back, and not diving head first into the ice cream the ice cream was fresh and full and he also seemed to be in a great mood. There was terrible WiFi and I almost had to walk outside to get my phone to work in order to pay but he was kind enough to give me the ice cream for free even when I offered to pay in cash thank you! Glad I came back to see growth because I LOVE this ice cream so much !

Yummmmm!!!! Afters is easily my fave ice cream in LA. Haven't had it in a while and it was the absolute perfect treat tonight after dinner. They must call it Afters for a reason;) We got strawberry / milk n cereal and Cookie Monster / mint cookie. Holy crap! This place will never get old. Not to mention affordable ! Also shout out to the lovely staff who were super sweet and helpful! Loyal customer and I will keep coming back:) Do yourself a favor n head over to Afters!

Mediocre I cream for high prices only bbecayse they have picTures of Rick and Mortyy. The parking is horrible. Two scoops of ice cream is about $7. Nothing special at all

Finally checked this place out after hearing rave reviews- it was soooo good! If you need an ice cream fix this is definitely the spot. The guy working - Cedar - was so nice about me wanting to try more than a few flavors and recommended some of his fave combos. I finally settled on the killer brownie and cookie butter and I'm floating on a cloud right now. Check this place out, you won't regret it.

The ube brownie flavor was bombbbbb! And so many unique flavors that I had trouble picking which ones I wanted. The jasmine milk tea flavor was light and refreshing. I fucked up though by pairing it with a donut lol it was overly sweet and I felt diabetic after eating it. Next time, I'll just order the ice cream in a cup haha

I don't even know where to begin. This place is a MUST try! I promise you won't be disappointed. First-It's located perfectly right on the corner of Hollywood Blvd and Argyle. Next to the CVS. It's a small little ice cream spot but trust me, with it always being nice out, it's worth the wait. Once your inside you're greeted by super friendly staff and you get to see the flavors and toppings right in front of you! Simple process. High quality ice cream. Second-The ice cream MIGHT be the best thing I've ever had. It was perfect. I got the Dark Matter Brownie Batter and my fiancé got the Chocolate chip cookies with Oreos. Single scoop was more than enough. Great price for the size and quality. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend going here after dinner, after drinks, whenever honestly!

CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG BUT THIS IS THE BEST ICE CREAM PLACE IN HOLLYWOOD! I got the milk and cereal pint with extra flakes on top and it was soooooo fyreeeee. The flakes resemble Frosted Flakes but a little more saltier in my opinion. The ice cream literally tastes like a sweet cream so it balances out perfect. Also I couldn't pass up the opportunity to snag an anti diet diet club tee lol this place is open pretty late so perfect for those who get the late night munchies!!

I'd say it's pretty overhyped. We've been in LA for quite some time now and always pass by so thought we would check it out. The customer service was great though! I think it's just not that special of ice cream to go again.

Kids and I stayed at the W down the street, we wanted ice cream looked up closest place and this place popped up. I cream was delicious

Sad to say that it did not live up to the hype for me. My fiance and I were in LA for the weekend, and got some KBBQ, and had our heart set on going to Milk Jar for dessert, but we realized it was closed early due to the holiday! Hopped on yelp, and found afters. Sadly foreshadowing my yelp review of my dessert feeling like an after thought. The milk bun wasn't anything special to me, and the ice cream was just ok. Nothing wow'd me. Except for the service! Service was great! Definitely didn't impress me, so we won't be going back.

So thankful that this place is on Postmates now! We ordered three pints - their cereal milk, sweet cream/sugar cookie, and the salty Oreos and cream, as well as their donut buns. The cereal milk grew on me, but I prefer Milk Bar's soft serve for those who have had it. My fave was the milk & sugar cookies flavor - it's seriously so good and has giant chunks of pink sugar cookies. I'm so sad that it's a monthly special - they should definitely keep it in rotation. The salty Oreo was super yummy too. Such a treat!

Afters has only one non-sorbet vegan option, the "cookie monster" ($4.50 for a scoop). I liked it. It has great texture with a nicely soft cookie mixed in. It's also not too sweet. If Afters had more than one vegan option (sorbets don't count), I'd probably go there more often. If you're looking for other spots with good vegan ice cream, check out Pressed Juicery in the same complex or Van Leeuwen on Franklin. Small Batch in Mar Vista is phenomenal, but a long drive from Hollywood.

Love the ube brownie flavor and really enjoy eating here. It's been delicious each time and I also love the Cookie Monster flavor, milk and cereal and mango sorbet with chamoy

I was surprised to see so many great reviews The flavors were interesting. The tiny scoop was $6 and change. The ice cream was thin obviously they use a low fat content milk With so many great ice cream shops that stand out against this one I baffled how it has so many who like this.

I stopped at Afters with my boyfriend after a long walk in Hollywood in the hot sun. I had followed Afters on Instagram and always heard of their famous ice cream sandwiches, especially the cookie monster flavor. I sampled lots of the flavors and ended up going with the milk and cereal flavor with mochi. My boyfriend got the cookie monster in a milky bun with sweetened cornflakes as a topping. I liked the milk and cereal flavor, but it was a bit rich for me and I thought there was a little too much mochi to thoroughly enjoy the flavor. The cookie monster milk bun was too sweet for my boyfriend and he got a sugar-rush headache afterwards (lol). The flavors were intriguing and overall weren't bad, but I feel as if there are better flavors at other stores. The Rick and Morty merch in the store was cool though, and the staff was very friendly.

Have to give a 2 star because the girl who worked today around 3:30pm march 24th, 2024 was so mean and just looked like she didn't want to be there like she completely hated her job! I asked her if they sold cookies she like "no & rolled her eyes" couldn't even tell me anything about the ice cream. Well anyways I got Cookie Monster and the ice cream is a 8/10. I would def go back to try different flavors tho! But my first experience was horrible. Hopefully she's not there. Very bad energy

Ooooo Yummy Yummy in my Tum Tum tummy! The select is just right for me. Not too many or too little flavors. Good classic with a unique twist. But not TOO far removed from the original. Good toppings. They change most flavors each 3-5 months which is good. You get to go back and test and try again. The place is clean and the people there are nice and personable. Nice vibe all around. They have a location in Sherman oaks and other places too.
