City of Kent Helps Local Restaurants Put Up Tents Around Outdoor Seating | Eater Seattle

"Using $175,000 in CARES Act funds, city leaders worked with the Kent Downtown Partnership to put up tented seating areas and patio heaters around Kent Station (which includes spots like Duke’s Seafood, Agave Cocina and Cantina, and Mama Stortini’s); the city hopes to have the project finished by the end of October and is fielding additional requests on a first-come, first-served basis. Gaila Gutierrez, the partnership’s executive director, said businesses are relieved they don’t have to prepare for winter on their own, that the heaters should take some of the chill off and that additional lighting is being considered as nights get darker." - Gabe Guarente

The food was so yummy. They even had gluten free food for my daughter with celiac disease. She has extreme reactions to gluten/wheat and she was able to eat at a restaurant for once and not feel sick. We will definitely come back soon! They were so sweet and accommodating making sure there was no cross contamination with her food and changing gloves.

I’ve been coming to Agave in Kent since they opened, and at this point it feels like my second home. I’m here 2–3 times a week because the food is always fresh and delicious, the drinks are great, and the staff treat me (and my friends and family) like family. It’s my go-to spot for everything from a quick meal to birthdays and special gatherings—highly recommend!!

Google
We stopped by Agave for happy hour and overall had a good experience. We ordered the carne asada nachos, but ended up getting chicken instead—still, they were tasty and loaded with cheese, so no real complaints there. We also tried the carne asada taco combo. The tacos were flavorful and well-prepared, but a bit on the pricey side compared to similar spots in the area. My friend ordered the veggie flatbread and really liked it, although the cut of the lettuce was a little strange—more of a personal preference thing, but worth noting. The chips and salsa stood out for being heavily seasoned, which some people might love. If you’re expecting the classic chips-and-salsa vibe, it might be worth asking for unseasoned chips. All in all, Agave delivered a solid meal with some unique twists. Worth checking out, especially during happy hour.

Google
They have excellent food, we’ve dined there several times. The drinks are tasty. The fried ice cream is divine. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent, even when they are busy. We love Agave Cocina & Cantina. We highly recommend them.

Google
I absolutely love this place. Their food is delicious, the portion sizes are big so it’s a great value for money, and their happy hour is wonderful. They make the best margarita in Kent!! My favorite is their “ultimate margarita.” The staff is super friendly and attentive without being over the top, and it’s just a comfortable, welcoming place for drinks or dinner or both. They have a fantastic selection of tequila (they have hard to find ones at decent prices!). I absolutely highly recommend stopping in! The main dining area is great, but the bar area is my favorite (for those 21+). It’s evident that a lot of thought and care is put in to the place. Come give Agave Cocina a try!

Google
We were seated right away. They brought us water and then our chips and drinks in a timely manner. There was red and green salsa to dip your chips in. You can ask for beans too. My wife had the vegetarian enchilada and I had the Californian burrito. These are decent size meals.

Google
I really like this place and the food is tasty. Definitely hit up the happy hour because normal prices are a little crazy. The meals are a bit deceptive. The veggie enchiladas were like, $21. It's says "choose two sides" so I thought the sides were included. They're NOT. I paid like, $3.50 per side on top of the $21 entree, for a total of around $28 😤 I've never been to a restaurant where a $21 entree is literally just two enchiladas? It doesn't say that the sides are an extra charge. I don't get it. Left a really bad impression on me. Spent a total of $50 for one entree, one kids meal, two sodas. 😳

Google
We had a decent experience here. The shrimp fajitas were typical but good. Plenty of food enough for two people to share. My parents liked the white enchiladas. Service was good even though they were pretty busy. We tried the margarita flight. Best one was a little spicy. They have two kinds of salsa. The green one is a little spicy but not bad. We would recommend giving this place a try if you are in the area. We came after a movie.

Yelp
First time in, staff were so welcoming and food was excellent. Nice comfortable booths and relaxing atmosphere. Our waiter made sure we left happy customers. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I did enjoy the chilaquiles they have. The salsa is not the best for this, but it satisfied my craving, and they offer black beans which is fantastic! My server was nice and friendly. This place kind of reminds me of Tex-Mex cuisine. Overall, it's pretty good! I'd definitely visit again.

Yelp
This place is solid whether you come for happy hour in the bar or dine in the restaurant. The fresh salsas are fantastic and have some kick. Have enjoyed every meal and the margaritas are on point. Worth a spin if you are at Kent Station. Have a shot of Sparkle Donkey- not easy to find and worth it on 1/2 price tequila days!

Yelp
My first time coming here and honestly Service was great! Food was amazing! My Steak came out perfectly I got the Sunday brunch option!

Kimber S.

Yelp
We had the fire shrimp as an appetizer, taquitos, steak salad and the tostadas so good! The waitress Rebecca was darling! Her warmth encouragement made us feel cared for during my sober anniversary. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Nice day to visit. It's 85 degrees out so we were thankful for some shade and A/C Our waitress was super attentive and kept checking in on us. The food came out fast and super hot. Loved having the chips and salsa at the table. Crunchy Tacos, shrimp tacos, big burritos and chimichangas were all delicious. Huge portions. All were served with beans and rice. Clean inside and decorated authentically. All 4 of us had a great girls luncheon and plan on coming back. Lots of free parking is nice too

Yelp
We decided to go here with our other couple friends we were able to get seated fairly quickly without reservations. And the food was great! Our waitress was able to get us what we needed and checked in on us multiple times throughout our meal... She was even able to find us a booth that was not very crowded or loud! We really enjoyed our time and loved the space where this was located. There is a plethora of parking in the back and a fun little square to be able to walk around to make room for ice cream or shakes in the nearby stores! I would definitely recommend this place to anybody wanting to go get good Mexican food

Yelp
This is our go to spot when we're craving Mexican food and want to dine in since it's a short ways away. My experience so far with this place has always been on the good side, not once had I ever had a bad experience. There's plenty of parking if you go on a good day, and you can walk around Kent station and get dessert afterwards If you go during dinner hours on the weekend it tends to be pretty busy, we tend to not wait any more than 30 mins for this place I usually get the enchiladas and rotate between all the enchiladas every time I go. They always been consistent with their food, it's a pretty decent portion size too as I could never finish it and would pack it to go Overall - one of my favorite go to when we can't decide what to make or eat. Service is always good, food is great, and very close to the house

Yelp
just had a dinner here with a large group and Charming was our waiter and was incredible! would come back !

Christie K.

Yelp
We have been to this restaurant at least three different times. The service is the same each time: incredibly slow and all the staff make it seem like they don't care about the customers. It always takes 5-10 minutes to get an initial service, and once we finally place a food order, it takes an unbelievable amount of time. We will not return. There are far better Mexican restaurants with amazing service.
google avatar

Yelp
We went on a very busy night during a hockey game, which is the only time they don't take reservations, so go early! It was packed, but we got sat quickly. You get free chips and salsa which is a favorite of mine and my little. The red salsa is great, the green is SPICY in a great way. We were a table of 4 adults and a kiddo. Despite the business of the restaurant, food came out quickly and was hot. The menu is large, but everything is good. I don't remember what we all got, but I do remember there wasn't much left on the plate. I'll definitely be returning and will take photos!

Yelp
Took a long time to be seated and then to be waited on. The restaurant is nice- large seating area for large families and groups. For the amount of people the establishment can hold, the place is not that loud. Small food portions for the price. Found that I received better service at the bar.

Yelp
Took in Happy Hour. Excellent beverage choices. Wife had the Agave Margarita which she loved. I had a beer on tap, nice cold and refreshing. She opted for the chicken taquitos off the Happy Hour menu and I went with the beef chimichanga. Hers were crisp and flavorful. She added a small bowl of refried beans which seemed a bit pricey. I had black beans and fries as sides. Some of the best fries I've had. BUT OMG! My chimichanga was seasoned perfectly and the taste out of this world. Meld it with ample condiments and we have a real winner here folks! Ate in the bar. Seated promptly and our server was polite and amicable. The ambiance was typical for a bar. Not too noisy, sports on several tv's. It was a nice evening and was surprised the patio wasn't open.

Yelp
We went here after a movie at the Kent Station AMC. Pretty decent Mexican food for a couple of hungry moviegoers. We arrived at about 6pm on a Saturday and were greeted and seated promptly. Our server Cristal was super attentive and friendly. I was not a huge fan of the sauce in the torta, but it was otherwise quite tasty, with nicely grilled chicken, quality bread, and a couple of sides included. I would not describe the relleno as excellent, compared to others we have had, but a rating of "good" seems fair. The complementary chips were so-so, but the salsas that accompanied them were excellent. Next time - and there will be a next time - we will try a margarita or two and see if a couple of other menu items warrant a higher rating.

Yelp
Finally got the chance to stop in here. I don't get to this area much, so this one has been on my radar for a while now. We stopped in late evening with a couple of our grandkids in tow for a late dinner after an event. We were seated immediately, in the far back corner. I'm usually not a fan of the back corner, because as Patrick Swayze says "Nobody puts baby in a corner". To be real though, the back corner is usually where you get forgotten and your service takes forever, and this proved to be no exception to that fact. It took a very long time to get our order in and was basically impossible to get a drink refill or a refresh on chips/salsa. My wife went with the Chimichanga and I chose the Agave Enchiladas, because if you're gonna name it after your restaurant, it better be a signature dish. The wife was very happy with her Chimichanga and loved the Crema Blanca. My Enchilada was very good. But I was a bit perplexed as to why the menu says "Enchiladas"...plural, yet my plate had "Enchilada"...singular. To me, if you list it plural, that indicates more than one. When the server did stop by (because...far back corner where you get forgotten) he was very friendly and nice. The only downfall was, the only time we saw him was when he took our drink order, finally came to take our dinner order and when he dropped off the check. There was no other times where he stopped in to check on us, see if we needed a refill on our drinks, maybe some more salsa, nothing. Trying to wrangle two young grandkids over a roughly 1.5 hour long ordeal due to slow service was stressing to say the least. So in the end, I enjoyed the food. But the overall experience was lacking. I probably won't be going out of my way to stop in again.

Yelp
No Stars! Our daughter ate there with a friend on 06/19/24 around 12-2pm. She started to feel weird after a few sips of her margarita so did not finish it. She ended up going to Valley Medical because she still felt awful later. Turned out she had been roofied. Fortunately she did a lot right in a bad situation: she did not finish the drink, she did not go anywhere like the bathroom so was at her table the whole time. The manager checked their cameras and said he could see her at the table and that no one put it in while she was there. Then tells me there is nothing he can do since he is not a doctor. Not even a sorry! He apparently did not GET that if the drink was not roofied while at her table, it happened from the bar to the table will it was in an employees care! So be careful!

Yelp
My partner, friends and I love to come here! Their food is delicious and their service is amazing. Every time we come it's always the same. Service, food and drinks are consistent! The Queso with chorizo is delicious and we get it every visit. I would say everything on their menu is delicious even the Diablo wings... who knows a Mexican restaurant would have delicious wings!?

Yelp
They count a 8 month old baby as part of the party and added 20% gratuity because "he's part of the 6" When i noticed the gratuity included, i asked why. She explained that he counts as part of the party. LOL I ASKED FOR THE MANAGER. And the only thing the server said was " if you don't think i deserve 20% then I'll have him reverse the charges". My husband, for the sake of both of us blowing up just left it as is but it is ridiculous that that was the response we got. It also doesn't mention anywhere that gratuity is included on any party ANYWHERE ON THE MENU. Food was subpar. Margaritas were wack. Not worth it and the service is NOT WORTH 20%

Lee N.

Yelp
Waited to be seated for 15minutes , no one in front of us. Hostess comes from the back and hands us our menus to seat ourselves ?? Waitress was good but felt like she was overwhelmed with the amount of guest she had to cater too. Took awhile to be serviced. Vibe was nice , great playlist. Food was mediocre, not authentic but that's a given it's an Americanized Mexican restaurant.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place out for a while now, & today was the day! I should have come sooner...So friggin good. The table we sat at could have been more lit as in lights felt light we couldn't see the menu. Besides that Everything was GOOD! I was not craving Mexican food I went for the drinks. But was very pleased at the food taste and the salsa actually had a kick!!!! I had the guava margarita & a chalupa ahumada drink which was super cute served with a Mexican flag! I felt adventurous and ordered a warm seafood salad which was surprisingly delicious. Hubby ordered fajita with handmade tortillas he also felt the food was good. Satisfaction Was delivered. Glad I came.

Yelp
Y'all need to keep Marisela at all costs. Without her this would have been a one star review. I understand staffing shortages as a retail and food service manager myself, but this was wild. We were told to seat ourselves and did so in the bar and Marisela our waitress came by and got our Happy Hour order in promptly before it was over. Very thankful for that. She also gave us some honest appetizer recommendations which was nice. It was obvious that there was only a couple of wait staff on, but it seemed like there were some managers that were helping out a little. That changed when some regular was leaving (not in Agave but in the walkways of Kent Station) and stumbled and fell on the ground. Honestly, the whole incident seemed very suspicious - she swore a lot, and started talking about how her doctor was refusing to prescribe her pain meds, et.. Multiple Agave employees completely abandoned what they were doing to "help" her. They brought her on the restaurant patio and helped get her cleaned up, offered her some ice, etc. but then two to three employees just hung out with her at a time. Meanwhile, Marisela is now waiting on the whole restaurant and bar, and making drinks it seems. Eventually one waiter started walking around a little and helping out. But he was moving like a slug, and we had to flag him down to get his attention even though he passed us, our empty drinks, our empty chips, and our empty waters by at least 5 times. He then went and got Marisela as opposed to offering to help us at all. We feel bad because we were obviously very annoyed and Marisela came over and clearly thought we were upset with her service. No, we were just mad at the managers who thought they needed to all play nurse's aid to a drunk lady. Eventually, she was just swearing and moaning "in pain" too much and we had to move tables because the experience just became too awful. Marisela didn't make a big deal out of any of it. Marisela, you're a true gem. Management, y'all need some serious work.

Yelp
We visited on Father's Day. Our party had their own personal ideas about the food we ordered. It was honestly whether you loved it, thought it was ok, or hated it. The following dishes with sides were ordered to give you a better idea of the quality and taste: Enchiladas Blancas - with spicy chile dusted fries and mexican corn. The tortilla was dry and the shredded chicken was super dry. Ever since my visit to Mexico, i always have to compare mexican corn dishes. In comparison, of course, the mexican corn was awful. Corn was dried out/overcooked, too much mayonnaise, and barely any paprika. The dusted fries were soggy. Tortilla Soup - chicken broth was rich with chicken flavor. Only problem was there was no tortilla strips like it says in the description. Tacos de Birria with dusted fries and black beans - shells werent flimsy and the beef was juicy. Only problem was the dusted fries were soggy. Pork Carnitas - was flavorful and the salsa verde was a bit too spicy. Keep in mind that the people eating this arent used to spice so if you like spicy food, this would be mild to you. Now onto the staff, our waitress was sweet and patient when we were being indecisive and when we had questions. Since the place was busy, i completely understand how long it took for the food to arrive and for how long it took for her to give us napkins and utensils. Although, there were times we had to remind her since she would check on us every now and then. Overall, I have been here before and have told myself countless times to never come back. No matter what i order here, i always end up not liking the food. I only come back because people tell me it tastes great, they enjoyed the food, and love their margaritas. But i get disappointed time and time again.

Yelp
We went before 5pm. Food was alright, service was poor. We just waited on service the entire time we were there, from ordering the menu to paying the bill. I saw other servers working but no one was helping to make the service go faster.
google avatar

Yelp
I didn't want to spend a lot of time eating while my car was charging nearby, but was craving some enchiladas. I found a perfect solution! This place is clean, and has a great vibe. The staff are very friendly. The service was lightning fast! My Agave enchiladas were tasty, with loads of fresh veggies involved. Portion size was perfect. Very light food, with no heavy cheese or refried beans. The chicken was kind of dry, but the salsa verde I poured all over it was dynamite, and made up the difference. Now, my car is recharged, and so am I!

Yelp
Came here for happy hour today with a coworker. We had the choice of being seated indoor or outdoor and we chose outdoor by the host. Giovani was very friendly, efficient, and kept checking in on us. I ordered calamari, skirt steak nachos, and a margarita off their happy hour menu. The calamari had good flavor and it was crispy. The bell peppers, jalapeños, and onions were all fried as well. It came with a red sauce and a white sauce. The red was more earthy chili flavor and the white sauce was a cooler, non-spicy sauce. The skirt steak nachos were delicious! It came with a variety of cheese, crispy chips, tender bite-sized skirt steak, onions, jalapeños, and sour cream. The margarita had a nice balance of all ingredients and the the salted rim is so good! :) I didn't take any pictures bc everything was so good lol

Yelp
We stopped by Agave Concina's for lunch! We were greeted and served by a smiling face :). Portion size was great and price was reasonable for the area, however my chicken enchilladas were fairly dry. Normally with enchilladas, there's enough red sauce inside and surrounding it to balance any potential dryness with the chicken. Everything else was good taste wise, and flavorful, epecially the guac. However, I'm not sure how much of that was from the salt. The next day when eating my leftovers, I noticed how salty it was. Still a good place for lunch in the area if you're craving a nice open indoor space to have some mexican food!
google avatar

Jas Q.

Yelp
5 stars for the service, our server Caesar (Cesar ?) was very friendly and attentive. Literally above and beyond the whole time. The food itself is kind of the reason for the rating, the sides of Spanish rice and fries and the Strawberry Limonadas were great, but the mains were the issue. The enchiladas were very mild in taste and nothing was really giving any type of wow factor. The torta was better but still not giving anything to brag about. The food is like decent, that's the best way I can put it. There was no freshness, crunch, or spice the way you get at other Mexican restaurants. Maybe I'd go back again? But not if I wasn't already in the area.
google avatar

Yelp
Good drinks and food if you're looking for a bite to eat in Kent Station! We got the Carne & Chimichurri, steak fajitas, and agave quesadillas. Great flavor for all the dishes; the chimichurri sauce was delicious!! Steak was cooked perfectly and they gave pretty good portion sizes. Their service wasn't the best. When we got to our table, there was no silverware or napkins and even after our food was brought to the table we still didn't get any utensils/napkins so we had to ask another server for them.
google avatar

Rachel V.

Yelp
Disappointed. I called in an order to-go and the male that answered definitely needed more training. He wrote down the order wrong so I had to wait 10-15 more minutes for my correct order. The quesadilla contained a lot of lettuce which was odd but it still tasted all right. But it made me think that it was just a filler to substitute for meat or cheese. And I was charged $5 for the Asada meat on top of the quesadilla price. I also ordered a chili relleno which was ok at best. It was pretty cold because of the extra time I had to wait. I felt like much of the relleno was wasted by the long stem. Lots of cheese and the chili batter was not flavorful. When it got cold, it was almost impossible to cut. For these two items I was charged $40 and was asked for a tip. The food quality and quantity just wasn't there for a $40+ price tag. I won't be back.

Yelp
When you're near Kent Station, this is the only choice you need if you're looking for great Mexican food! Kent Station already makes me feel like I'm on vacation for some reason and when you walk into Agave, you feel like you've left the rat race. The ambience is very relaxing with a chill vibe. The staff is friendly and take good care of you. The food is mostly typical Mexican but then they have some other offerings that you may be interested in. The Mexican mashed potatoes or the grilled bussels sprouts come to mind just off the top of my head. They have a small outdoor seating area that is great when the weather is warm and the bar is warm and cozy too. Overall, this is one of our go-to restaurants whenever we're in Kent. The quality has fluctuated a bit with each visit but in no way has it detoured us from wanting to come back again and again. Give em' a try! Cheers!

S. M.

Yelp
I should have listened to a friend who said the food was just okay. Service was okay for hardly any people being in the restaurant. I ordered the chicken tamale and enchilada. There was NO chicken in the tamale, just the masa dough. The tortilla on the enchilada was so rubbery I had a hard time cutting it with the fork, so I ended up just picking out the chicken.

Rita L.

Yelp
Agave, Kent location. Service was horrendous, the waiter did not inform us happy hour is only available in the bar until the bill came, after dinner we moved to the bar to have a margarita, but the bar would not accommodate our party of 3 because one was a wheelchair, they only had high top tables, the only regular table with 2 chairs was located next to the aisle & outside door, the manager was called & he offered to seat us outside in the cold & rain or sit at 2 different tables, no offer to swap tables around, no offer to seat us back in the restaurant & allow happy hour specials. VERY disappointed, we left & won't be back.

Yelp
We came here on a stopover on vacation after seeing good reviews. We did wait a bit to be seated. They weren't too busy for 6pm on a weeknight. The waiter was pleasant enough but forgetful. Waters weren't replenished quickly. Food was meh. Not cafeteria quality but not great. Flavors were bland, food was warm not hot and the corn tortillas had a strange sweetness to them. Would not return.

Yelp
Finally get to try out this place! Pretty impressed with the young waiter and waitress who handled many people during lunch time by only the two of them. Keeping the people happy and make sure water glasses are filled. The decorations in this place is fun. We stayed in the diner side but they do have bar area. Looked at my fellow Yelpers's comments, Carne Asada is something to try. It was not disappointed. The seafood enchiladas were also very creamy. We also ordered calamari. Nice and crispy. Overall, not a bad place to try. While every where places went up by a lot, this is place is still reasonable.

Yelp
The four of us get seated and asked what we'd like to drink. Brought us waters along with chips and salsa, but you could tell the chips were sitting and stale. We sat there waiting forever until we waived down a different waiter letting him know we were ready to order, he said OK and came back after bussing some things for another table. This different waiter is who we had the rest of the evening. First red flag for my sister was he didn't write anything down, but then had to reask my sister which sides she wanted. Orders came out OK for most of the part, but boyfriend received quesadillas instead of chimichangas. The server was surprised and said are you sure... Yes he was... So he offered and brought out a chimichanga later. When dropping it off he insinuated it was the same thing just deep fried and we should have accepted the quesadillas... Yes it may be similar, but that was not what was ordered. Chimichanga came out hot, but was pale and not really crispy. Lastly ordered a flan to go, sugar was overly burnt and custard curdled along the edge. Writing this review as this whole experience put my boyfriend in a horrible mood and that in itself is pretty rare. He had more to say too but this is getting a little long.

Yelp
I used to love this place and now I am wondering what happened to the quality of food. We recently stopped in on a Friday afternoon for a working lunch and while the service was spectacular, the food was just ok. I order the chilaquiles and my partner ordered fajitas. The chilaquiles was more soggy than I am used to--like super soggy-- and the flavor did not stand out. My partner enjoyed her fajitas, but neither of us felt it was anything to write home about. There are other Mexican restaurants that I would prefer to this one, but again the service was super solid.

Yelp
Good place to meet up for a meal or happy hour. Quesadillas are filling and and flavorful. Good beverage and menu selection. Friendly, patient and fast service. Enjoy!

Yelp
We decided to try Agave again after 5 years to give it a try. Compared to the last time we visited the food has improved. The carnitas tacos were wonderful. We still though it was a bit over priced. Today the reason for 3 stars was because of the staff. At one point there were 6+ staff member sitting in an area out on the restaurant floor. And staff mask wearing was not amazing. Our waitress was great with the mask wearing, but there was one female waitress that had her mask below her chin while carrying food to a table. In normal times it is what it is but not during a pandemic.

Yelp
Food was good but nothing extraordinary when compared to other Mexican restaurants. The service was slow but wasn't bad. The decor was decent and the wait time for seating was average.

The food I ordered was so good and they have done everything that I have asked for and rest of the family love it so much. Great job.

Yelp
Ugh. Why don't I listen to myself. I said I wouldn't go back & sadly I did. My Aunt & I met for her birthday lunch there yesterday. We both were disappointed with our salads. She had the Avocado Chicken Salad & I had the Steak Salad. Both of them were seriously lacking the ingredients listed on the menu. My steak salad had maybe 5 tiny pieces of avocado, 3 tiny slivers of radish, 6 pumpkin seeds and no detectable cheese. It was also very under dressed so I flagged down our waiter and asked for & received extra dressing. Luckily I ordered my steak medium. It actually was medium rare. Had I ordered med-rare I probably would have got still mooing. Her chicken avocado salad also had the smallest amount of avocado, corn, bacon on it. Menu also says romaine & spinach blend but there was no spinach in it. She also requested dressing for her salad because the lemon, oil & vinegar served on it was bland. Note- Requested salt & pepper and peppermill unusable/empty.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and the experience is always okay - not terrible but not great either. Most recently I went here over the weekend with my mom for brunch. We got there right after they opened and grabbed seats in the bar. We were greeted quickly and given chips + salsa (complimentary), and waters while we decided on our entree options. I went with the grilled steak and eggs and my mom went with the eggs benedict. Both of our entree dishes came with orange slices which just seemed out of place and unnecessary to me. My entree was decent but the eggs on my mom's dish were completely overcooked with solid yolks. Don't offer an eggs benedict dish if it can't be cooked properly :( After our food was dropped off we were never checked up on again even though there were only 4/5 other small tables seated in the bar. I would be willing to come here again but it's not my first choice for Mexican food in Kent or my first choice restaurant at Kent Station.

Yelp
Nicely decorated and open feeling place. The bar and music were a little loud but not bad. Menu is a little sparse but substitutions we're welcome. I ordered a Cameron a la Diablo that I switch to Mojo de ajo. My wife had the chicken chimichanga. The two salsas that come with the chips are distinct and flavorful. Nice guacamole as well but a little bit more lemon than I prefer. Food was fast and hot. The Cameron's were perfect, the garlic was perfectly done and the presentation was great. My wife felt the flavors of the chicken chimichanga were good but the shredded chicken was a little dry. The service was stellar. Younger gentleman who was attentive and had answers to everything g we asked. Checked often enough but wasn't hovering. Truly a Good server!!!

Yelp
I bought a Groupon for this place and I need to remind myself to stop buying Groupon. The food was just off. I ordered the fish tacos and it was bland. The whole taco..bland. the ordered jicama slaw and it was oddly sweet, atleast too sweet for me but I just threw it in my tacos cuz nothing about the taco stood out. I'm giving 3 stars cuz the staff were great! My son was up and down and all over the place and our waitress was super kind and would chat with my son while I tried to eat.

Yelp
Kent station is a go-to for me whenever I can't think of a place for drinks. I'm glad that Agave is stationed here. If I'm unsure what to get, I'll always go for a classic margarita or a margarita flight. Both are solid here, definitely go for the margarita flight if you can't make a choice! I've only tried a few apps here and their spicy grilled prawns as an entree - but this dish has easily become my favorite. Service in the bar can be a bit slow on busy nights, but servers are all friendly! Fortunately, this place is never so busy to the point where you're waiting for a table (if you're above 21 head straight to the bar! plenty of seating here). Also, they have happy hour deals! Definitely want to try their brunch at some point!

Yelp
Good food, good service, poor air conditioning. 80+ degrees and no air conditioning. Boiling the entire meal.

Yelp
This restaurant has very good food, but it is very dirty inside. The lights that hang directly above the table or filled with dust from years of not being cleaned. It's just bad management to keep a place so dirty, when you serve good food.

Yelp
great food, only problem is that I can't focus on eating when I'm burning alive from the lack of air conditioning. I've been there before in spring, I know they have it.
