Came here tonight for dinner. We ordered the flank steak with Julianna Veggies, Mac and the Lamb with Yukon potatoes. For drinks we had the Mona Lisa Punch. The food and drinks were delicious and we nearly finished our plates. Great portion sizes. Our server, Annie was incredible. Very welcoming and knowledgeable on the menu and was able to direct us on which entrees would best suit our pallets. This is an awesome establishment and crucial to the Atlanta food scene. I encourage you to give it a try. You won’t regret it.

Thanks again for another wonderful experience. I’ve celebrated so many occasions there since you opened (for the past 25 years). Agave has remained consistent with great service and excellent meals. Truly a gem that will be missed in the neighborhood. Patricia and Justin were amazing during my most recent visit. Really miss Lisa. Hope to catch up with her before the official closing. After hearing Agave will be closing Jan 31st I had to go back and let me tastebuds say farewell to the best Mexican inspired food in ATL. If you have never been, book a reservation and go, get exactly what I ordered and don't forget the extra sauce on everything....THEY ARE THE MASTER AT SAUCES AND DEVELOPING THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF SPICE ...JUST RIGHT TO BRING ALL THE FLAVORS OUT OF WHATEVER PEPPER IT FEATURES...because capsacin isn't the only flavor in a pepper...foodies know what I mean. The servicers are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The place has a quaint feel because it seems as if they have added as many tables as possible to ensure maximum reservations but its still a nice dining experience. I had the mistletoe magarita, mussels, guacamole, and lamb chops...While I realize change is one of the only sure things... for an original Ga peach this change will be historical for my taste buds....they almost died when the swordfish was taken off the menu...but no menu at all....I can't....let all the original ga peach foodies say amen. "Thangs just ain't the same" ...Ludacris

Wonderful flavors of New Mexican cuisine. We’ve been several times and it’s always good with excellent service. Great mixologists & enjoyed the cocktails too.

Our family had a wonderful time celebrating my sister’s 50th Birthday. Here’s what we had. We tried to try everything. The food was flavorful and the service was amazing.

I've been here previously I got the Cayenne chicken with mashed potatoes it's been a minute. I live in the area now probably like 15 minutes away so I had to go back. I got a fried lobster tail and shrimp rolls and street corn with complimentary chips and salsa. I also got the chef's strawberry cheesecake and a chocolate mousse dessert. I got food for dinner and breakfast on 1-2-2026. They also have a bar for those interested and vallet parking. Pull up and check them out the food is delicious. Sadly they are closing on 1-31-2026.

Came here to try the good before they close permanently on Jan.31st. I was able to grab a seat at the bar after waiting about 20mins. I ordered the scallops with collards and grits. Everything was delicious. Sad to see them go.

Our family came here tonight to celebrate my daughter‘s 21st birthday. Agave was recommended to me by some friends a couple of years ago and I can only say I’m so sorry I took so long to come here. We tried a variety of cocktails, appetizers, and entrées, and everything was absolutely amazing! The staff was wonderful and attentive. I had the opportunity to meet the restaurant manager, Ms. Patricia, and the chef/proprietor, Mr. Jack Sobel. I understand why this place has such a loyal following. Great food with a nice ambience. Sorry to hear that they’re closing at the end of the month. I hope that they are able to come back in some capacity.

Without exaggeration or hyperbole, this was one of the best meals I've had in my entire life. The steak was perfectly cooked - better than most steakouses - and I'm notoriously picky about my steaks. I'm also frequently disappointed by the flavorless mush most people offer as collard greens. Agave, however, completely blew me away here. Another thing that impressed me was the owner. We saw someone humbly going around and refilling everyone's water. We later learned not only was he also the cook, but the owner of the entire business. Great service on top of already great food. Next time I'm in ATL, I guarantee I'll be back.

Agave serves delicious southwestern food and is a go-to restaurant for many of my friends. They are well known for their margaritas, and my visit is never complete without either a Top Shelf, Skinny, or fruity margarita to assist in scarfing up chips and salsa. Agave's decor feels like a nod to an older southwest with its eclectic accessories and dark woods. It is an intimate, cozy space that is perfect for date nights or connecting with friends and family. We have visited dozens of times to enjoy the food, beverages, service, and fellowship. Reservations are recommended. The bar is tiny and fills up quickly. Agave receives weekly shipments of hatch green chiles and red chiles from New Mexico, making for delicious Hatch Green Chile Stew, Traditional Posole, and Queso Fundito. We always order the Fried Lobster Tail, whether as an appetizer or as part of a meal. It is flash-fried with a batter with just enough spice and served with an amazing drawn chile butter. The calamari is another frequently-ordered appetizer. The poblano aioli and pepper jelly are a delicious compliment to the super crispy and well seasoned calamari. For dinner, we trend towards the lamb chops, seared scallops, and pork chops. Do not pass up an opportunity to enjoy the smoked bacon, honey, and cider collards or the tomato and serrano stone-ground grits. For dessert, we have enjoyed the key lime pie and their seasonal cheesecakes.

4.7/5 Food: Came here for a friend's bday dinner, everyone ordered a margarita and they were delicious and strong. The Diablo crawfish pasta was very tasty but it was kind of strong on the mushrooms (beware if you don't like them). The crab cakes were pretty good, they had a lot of crab and were nice and moist. My friend really enjoyed the scallops, especially the greens that come with the meal. Lastly, my other friend who had the chicken enjoyed the meal a lot. She described it as a deconstructed KFC bowl but with more flavor lol. Service: Our waiter was very nice and patient and the food came out very quickly. There were a few moments where we needed him but he was no where to be found. Not a complete ruin of the experience tho, his personality made up for it lol. Ambience: Very cozy inside and they are able to accommodate fairly large parties. They have street parking and valet parking, but the lot is pretty limited from what I could see.

My favorite southwest spot in the city. You always get consistent service, delicious food and a good deal the first hour they're open. During the first hour appetizers are buy one get one free, the lobster tails are excluded. You can get this special at the bar or while dining at a table. My most recent visit was a quick stop for the jalapeno margarita for $14.50 and an order of the shrimp spring rolls $11.50 and guacamole $12; I ended up getting the shrimp spring rolls for free. Although this was only small bites I walked out feeling so full because I could not stop eating that perfectly flavored salsa, they should really sale jars of that salas....SO GOOD! Overall this is an oldy but goody, you cannot go wrong. Make sure to ask for their vegetarian menu if you have dietary restrictions. They also have free parking right next to the restaurant.

Agave has a wonderful menu, from its Posole to the short ribs. Great service, fun atmosphere, and very interesting mixed drinks selection. Has its own parking lot.

Agave Restaurant is located in Cabbage Town at 242 Blvd SE Atlanta, GA 30312 This is a family owner established. On 7/6/2024 Health Score is 89 = B Our servers were Anderson and Helena they both were very, very, very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. We ordered the Watermelon Margarita, the Enchiladas and the Rio Grande Burrito. The food was seasoned well and so delicious. The presentation was also very nice. The restaurant ambiance was a little dark for me. But the overall vibe offered music piping through the speakers and a cozy feeling. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my family and friends. It's was the Rio Grande Burrito for me.

A hidden gem. Superb, tasty southwestern food in a lively atmosphere. Do yourself a favor: Order the Hatch Green Chile Stew. It's the stew your grandma made you after a cold winter day playing outside. Plus, it's probably the best price in Atlanta. Great waitstaff (shoutout Brandon!). Easy parking. Very affordable.

The hidden gem of cabbagetown! I really should make a weekly reservation at this point. The food is so ridiculously good. Chips and salsa come but don't fill up... save room for dinner. The enchiladas are the same price as a burrito at any local chain... so it's a no brainer for us! And service is always so friendly. And personal. You leave feeling like family. The outside front is great for a cocktail (car and people watching). i wish they'd have dinner service on those patio tables!!! Oh and the spicy pb pie isn't overly spicy and a great dessert selection!

Great place for a classy full bodied dinner with drinks! The ambiance at Agave has an old New Mexico flavor on the inside too which is cool. The food is good and this is a great restaurant if you like spice and flavor. I had the flank steak Medium with the Spanish rice -Steak was not too thin, honestly the perfect cut with great flavor, and the rice full of complementary flavor and authentic tase.Was slightly more on the well side though. Will be back!

First time there, and I definitely recommend that you go there. The restaurant has a complimentary valet parking and I suggest that you leave them tips. Chips and salsa are complimentary. The food didn't take long , and everything arrived hot. My husband got the grilled pork Chop, and I got the Pinto Beans & Green Chile Tostada. Everything was delicious, very well seasoned. The atmosphere was kind of quiet and intimate, and they have a fireplace that gives it that touch. Our server has amazing energy and very friendly.

Agave is a cozy restaurant that serves fusion Mexican and Southern comfort food. They call it "Creative Southwestern Cuisine" Agave has a regular menu and a vegetarian menu. The complementary chips and salsa were very good! I decided on the Cayenne Fried Chicken for my entree. It was good! Flavorful and FILLING. The max and cheese was a pass. It was not good. I loved the fireplaces. The service was solid and efficient. I'd say check them out if you're in the area!

This place was such a delight when we visited for dinner and glad to still be standing after many, many years. I last visited Agave when I was in college. It's tucked away in the Cabbagetown/Grant Park area just next to Oakland Cemetery. Make reservations if you can! They only have valet parking but have street parking available. We were seated as soon as we checked in at the hostess stand. I did get a text 15 min prior our reservation that our table was ready! It was dark and cozy and the space was nicely decorated with southwestern elements. Our server greeted us and got us water. She then brought us chips and salsa. When she came back, we ordered guacamole to start. Guac was bland itself but paired perfectly with salty tortilla chips. Shortly after getting our guacamole, we ordered entrees. I opted for the seafood wrap but substituted the beans for julienned veggies, and my husband ordered the pulled pork verde enchiladas. Their servings here were huge! My wrap was filled with veggies and shrimp but didn't really get much swordfish, it also came with a spicy tartar sauce. The onion rings were a nice touch - even though I only got 2 rings and didn't really care for it. The veggies were nicely cooked though! My husband thought his food was okay and wished it was smothered in sauce. He also thought that the egg on top of his enchilada was runny but was too over cooked for his liking. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here.

Agave has been one of myfavorite spots for a while. They fell off for a bit; I had two not-so-great experiences there, but after some time, I tried them again. I was quite excited and hopeful for a great experience.  The service was good, and the vibe of the place is always cozy and warm. The chips and salsa were good. I ordered the chicken dish with macaroni and cheese and collard greens. I also had the fried lobster tail as an appetizer. I also tried the street corn, not the cob. The fried lobster tail was amazing. It was seasoned so well and fried perfectly. The collard greens and macaroni and cheese were pretty good too. The chicken was fried well, but it did lack flavor. All that flavor that was packed into the lobster tail just for the chicken to lack at least half as much flavor That was really the only disappointment; I wish the chicken carried more flavor, but it was fried well and a nice size.

Great first time visit here. The food was different and flavorful and delicious. The inside is much larger than appears as well. Our service was friendly and provided great options to try. Would definitely come back!

My family loves coming here, and although I've been a few times, I don't get to come often, but I'm about to start. The food is absolutely delicious, and I love the drinks. There's valet parking directly on site, and the restaurant has such a cute vibe. It's perfect for an outing with family or an intimate date night. I want to express my gratitude for the way the staff at the restaurant treated my family, specifically my son. My husband and I are new parents of a two-year-old. We go out to eat with our son very often. However, we do not get a chance to go out with our extended family very often. Unfortunately, when my son realized that we would be eating with them, we're not sure if his social anxiety kicked in or if he thought we were dropping him off to stay with them, but he absolutely lost it. We've never seen him act that way in a restaurant before. He was crying, screaming, and basically inconsolable. It was by far the most embarrassed I've ever been inside a restaurant. Our waitress and several other staff offered words of encouragement and things to assist us with him, but nothing would help. Everyone did it with a smile and understanding. Kim, who I believe is a manager, offered a pop-it toy to calm him down. It didn't work at first, but she told us to hold on to it. Being a frequent restaurant goer, I immediately became worried about the experience of other patrons and told our family that my husband and I preferred to go outside with him and see if we could eat there away from everyone to see if he would calm down. As soon as we stepped outside to eat, he was perfectly fine playing with the toy provided by the manager. I don't know if they'll see this, but I told her I would share this experience. I was absolutely blown away by how we were treated at the restaurant. We will come back (without our toddler) for a nice date night soon so we can truly enjoy our food. Thank you so much, Kim + Agave staff. We are eternally grateful for everything you did to assist us in such a tough moment as parents.

We were a party of 6 and all of us ordered different dishes. The fish/seafood dishes were average. The lamb dish was good. unfortunately in spite of vegetarian menu( we were pleasantly surprised to see one) the veggie enchiladas were tasteless with some grilled veggies in a tortilla. The sauce was favoureless. I think it has some innovative drinks but average to below average food considering the price. The ambience is eclectic which makes it a nice bar to hang out. The service including is great and the reason for 3 stars.

Took my parents to Agave this week, they were visiting from Florida. All of us loved our meals. My mother asked for corn tortillas, and they have blue corn tortillas here. How cool! And the corn on the cob was just fabulous. It's hard to prepare it better than they do here. I had a vegan burrito (Vegans - ask for it, it's not on the menu) which I devoured. So good! Guacamole was fresh and flavorful. We went for a little stroll afterwards, which I'll add because Agave's location is also convenient for experiencing the quirky & unique Cabbagetown neighborhood.

Really enjoyed this. They have great food, service was awesome. Good drinks. Great location and I'm glad they have a little parking lot. The salmon was the best of all the items we ate at the event. Always see this place and never get a chance to go. It's seems to be more of a rustic vibe in there, definitely casual. The guac wasn't the best but the other starters were good.

Time for an update on my review. Jack and his team do an amazing job and with the refreshed menu, they have risen the bar again! I've been going here for years and this is the best it has ever been. We had the smoked trout appetizer special and for the main course, we had the Sunburned Strip Steak and Grilled Pork chop for dinner. Everything was amazing and great fresh flavors. If you haven't been in a while, you need to go check out the new menu to see what I'm talking about.

My most recent visit to agave was a full 10/10! They were very busy because of a festival happening in the area but they got us seated fairly quickly. Our server was patient, attentive and thorough. She still ensured that every single table felt like they were only table. The food came out quickly and was uber delicious! The ambiance in Agave is perfect for any occasion and the entire team provides A-1 customer service.

Dinner with friends for a birthday and it's a Saturday night. Luckily we have a reservation and we are sat right away! Chips and salsa to start and I enjoyed my Peachtree Margarita! There were 9 of us and our server, James, took care of us well! Ask for him! Almost all of us got the Medallions - but all a little different! It was quite tasty and those onion rings - those alone should be a side or an app, YUM! We also got the dessert sampler (we were celebrating a birthday after all)! And it was so good! I would take the strawberry compote from the cheesecake and put it on the peanut butter pie - DEEEEELICIOUS! Highly recommend!

The Scollops dish is my favorite meal ever hands down. Mostly because They. Don't. Miss. It tastes the same every time I go and I've been going for years. Plus the service is always quick and lovely. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who cherishes a good meal and an intimate setting.

Everything about our experience was great! Starting with Sarah, our server! She super friendly, efficient, and professional!! There weren't a lot of people there, so the atmosphere was kind of quiet and more intimate! All of our food and drinks came out fast, piping hot, and fresh. Oh and most importantly DELICIOUS! We ordered the Southwestern Seafood Wrap, Grilled Chicken Dinner, Guacamole, and the Mona Lisa Punch!!! Let's start with the Mona Lisa Punch, since it was recommended by our server!!! Ooooh weeee!!! It was soooo refreshing, crisp, and sweet! Just amazing!! I could drink it all day everyday! Next is the seafood wrap!! It has shrimp and swordfish in it! The flavor profile was perfection! It was incredibly tasty! My friend ordered grilled chicken and said it was juicy and seasoned perfectly! All in all, everything was amazing! Food, Service Ambience and even parking was good!! ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS!!

Stop scrolling and try this place out! It's within walking distance of The Eastern, and the perfect place to eat before a show. The food is Fantastic as is the service! The chef stopped by our table to check in with us and thank us for dining at Agave. Our server, Max, was excellent! He was ready with recommendations and descriptions of unfamiliar menu items-----and he ensured that we were out the door in time to get to the concert venue with time to spare. And don't get me started on the margaritas! Agave was such an unexpected pleasure compared to what I have become accustomed to in terms of Tex-Mex/Southwestern cuisine. The guacamole, salsa, smoked trout appetizer, Posole and the lamb were amazing and the chocolate mousse was perfection. We will make sure that we make Agave part of our plans the next time we're back in ATL.

Attended for my moms birthday. Reservations were very easy to make. We arrived early and were able to be accommodated. The waitstaff were kind and very attentive. The food was okay, some things lacked a little flavor. My mom had the fried lobster, mashed potatoes. She said the lobster was fresh and perfectly fried. Mashed potatoes lacked flavor. The calamari was good. I had the lamb, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Although cooked nicely all lacked flavor. I had to drown everything in sauce once I got home and it was delicious. This is why I knocked off a star. Cooked nicely just a little bland. Chips and salsa were great

My boyfriend and I came here for a dinner date. The restaurant has a complimentary valet, and tips are suggested. Since we made a reservation, we sat immediately. The restaurant is on the small side, so be prepared for tight spaces and the tables being close. We started with drinks, I don't recall the Tequila my boyfriend had straight up, but he enjoyed it. I had a coconut lime margarita, and it was really light and refreshing. We had posole soup as an appetizer. A little more salt was needed in it to me. For entrees, I ordered the diablo crawfish pasta. It was such a large amount and was beyond delicious. My boyfriend had salmon with grits and a corn salsa on top. It was really flavorful and exceeded our expectations. Our server was great, and the food delivery to our table did not take long. Overall, we can't wait to visit this restaurant again.

I love the vibe, energy and people here, let me just start there. I came on a Sunday evening after a gala (made a reservation 30 min prior to arriving), and they valet park only (quick and easy). My date got the NY strip and I got the Pinto Bean & Green Chile Tostada. The food could have used more flavor, so I had to doctor it up a bit. I got the spicy margarita and he got the house. They were both delicious and strong (still the best in atlanta). I left tipsy, lol. Our server had amazing energy, and was very attentive. I'd definitely come back.

I always drive past this place and wanted to try it, especially since some of the items are gluten-free! They have valet parking (complimentary) on-site at the restaurant, which is great. The valet had venmo so we didn't need cash to tip. We made a reservation on open table and were seated immediately. The place itself was bigger than I thought. They have a side section with a full bar, a middle dining room section when you first walk in, and a pseudo outdoor section (which is where we sat). They also had a small outside area, which I'm not sure if it was just for drinks or dinner too. Our server was very kind. He was extremely attentive. So for the food - we started with the chicken taquitos (gluten-free), a great option for my bf with celiac. I eat frozen taquitos like it's my job and these were high up on the list. For the main meal, we split the scallops. First off, it came with 6, and it was an incredibly pleasant surprise. Recently, a lot of the places where we order scallops only give 3 or 4, for a large price point. So we were in heaven! The chicken poblano soup caught my eye and thank goodness it did because it was AMAZING. It is creamy so if you aren't into that - don't order this. At the end of the meal I was so full that I took the smallest amount home lol it was actually ridiculous because it was only 3-4 scoops but I don't care at all. For drinks, my bf got a glass of red wine, and I got a spicy margarita. Both are good - no complaints there. We'll definitely be back. I want to try some other stuff on the menu.

ITP joints that have service and good food are a dime a dozen so when you find them, you have to give them the props. I came here with a few friends one night and always saw this place but never had the opportunity till now. Since our party had reservations, it was done family style which I'm not mad at but more on the food later. Agave is a tex-mex restaurant that borders more on the Mexican in terms of flavors. There's smatterings of southern style cooking but for most of the food, it leans heavily on actual Mexican influences in terms of spices, cooking methods, and presentation which I appreciated. The restaurant interior is slightly confusing as it's split up into three sections inside itself. There's a bar section with some table dining, there's a second section of a dining area, and the third section which seems like it's reservation only which was an interesting layout. But the place as a whole is dimly lit yet active in terms of how they handle service. Service here was fantastic! Our server was pleasant, professional, friendly, relatable, prompt, and efficient. So now let us talk about the food. The way our dining experience was was family style so it will be different from the normal dining experience of others so based solely on the food we got for our 4 course family style dining experience. The red hominy pork posole is phenomenal. I've never had hominy that wasn't in its grits form so this was different but the flavor of that soup was deep, rich, savory, flavorful, and definitely a comfort food. The salad I wasn't too much of a fan of due to the beans and the corn but it had a light crisp flavor to it and found that enjoyable. I enjoyed the smoked chicken quesadilla. The chicken was moist, the cheeses inside the tortilla didn't overpower anything, it was just a nice balance in flavor. We were then served the courses. Fried chicken, a barbacoa taco, and a veggie pasta. The fried chicken was cut into strips which I found odd but again, it was a flavorful homely comfort food a la Southern American cooking. The barbacoa taco wasn't as enjoyable as the meat was dry but the spices in the taco definitely had a kick to it. If the meat was a bit more tender, it would've been a better dish in my opinion. The veggie pasta I found to be delightful. Again, savory, flavorful, and enjoyable. The dessert was a pumpkin pecan pie which was scrumptious! Sweet, a balance of pecan and pumpkin which held this delightful dance that was such a fantastic marriage of sweetness that topped off the dinner. Agave was great and I definitely recommend this place.

My waitress Brea, so energetic, and down to earth. it was my first time attending she helped me with the menu, and explaining the food options and telling me what was her favorites. She came to my aide after informing her I was allergic to mayonnaise after I placed my order to make sure I was okay and needed anything. I would love to come back to the restaurant and have her as my waitress. My food was amazing, I got the fried chicken with homemade mashed potatoes and grilled corn on the cob! Well done Agave! The place is so cute and the ambiance is like a date night scenery or go out with your girlfriends. Wish the parking lot was bigger but other than that I had a great time!

Don't sleep on this hidden gem in Cabbage town. I give credit to my husband for finding this place. I asked him to find a romantic dinner spot for date night. Agave delivered. The ambiance is very romantic. From the fireplace, spaced out blankets, and candle lit tables. The menu has everything- like everything. From pasta dishes to classic Mexican plates. He had the pork enchiladas- he loved them. The eggs on top was a nice touch. I had the super fresh shrimp ceviche. Check out the photo! Also the barb area is a tequila bar- how fun!! We'll be back for third time soon. We've loved both experiences here.

Always love Agave! The service is always exceptional and fast. The meatballs and salmon chips are the best appetizers ever! Especially if you love spicy food.We tried the special for both main dishes and they were so flavorful. The vibe is always sexy although it was a packed house this night and it was a little loud.

Omg!!! The food was so good!! The vibe was so cool. The best part was that the Chef / Owner came to our table to ask about the food. That's rare! The Chef at Ordinaire - Norfolk VA came to my table as well. I wished more chefs would do that. I was so appreciative. Check out his cd on Apple Music. Thank you for the awesome hospitality. I will return soon.

First time here and definitely would recommend you check out this place. We walked here (~2mi RT) but they do have a gravel lot. Food: chips and salsa are complimentary and we added a large order of guacamole as a starter. The salsa was super liquidy, so not my fave and the guacamole was decent but overall bland and needed salt and extra lime (I squeezed in the little wedges that came with it). However, our entrees were legit. I had the diablo spicy crawfish pasta and it did not disappoint. It was delicious and does come with mushrooms (FYA if you're not a mushroom lover like me) but it was still good. My friend loved her steak and got grilled jalapeños on the side bc she likes spicy. We were super stuffed at the end and I had to take the rest of my pasta to go. Overall, I would go back and try some other stuff on their menu.

Wow what an incredible restaurant in Atlanta. The ambiance was so inviting, cute and cozy. We sat on the back patio and enjoyed the sunset while enjoying our delicious meal. I ordered the crawfish pasta and the trout starter. Both were so satisfying. My husband got the shrimp and lobster enchiladas - the chile sauce was so good. Everything here is clearly made with love. The staff are really nice and the margaritas are a favorite, especially the jalapeño. Looking forward to coming back and supporting this local staple!

I'm always on the lookout for good Southwestern fare in Atlanta, and while Agave delivered on ambiance and vibes, we found their food to be a little lackluster. We visited on a busy Saturday night, and were immediately impressed by this spot's gorgeous, if not a bit dated, stucco interior decorated with Native American art and handicrafts, like serapes and pottery. After being seated in their comfortable dining room, we started with a couple solid margs. After an order of chips, guac, and their basic but tasty fundido con frijoles, we settled into our entrees- a bean burrito for her and veggie enchiladas for me. While fine, it didn't quite meet my standards as a Texan, but all things considered, it worked well enough. I would certainly return for a margarita and some light snacks next time I'm in the mood for a taste of home.

Agave was incredible tonight! We love this family owned restaurant. Chef/owner Jack is in the house with top notch service and delicious, fresh, well executed dishes. We had the strip steak with mushrooms and spinach and the grilled pork chop with collards and Mac n cheese. The steak was grilled to a perfect medium. Perfectly juicy and tender. The chop was grilled perfectly with a hint of smokiness. I loved the collards they had a hint of sweetness and a hint of spicy. Can't wait to come back to try something else. Wish I could give it 10 stars!!!

Love love love Agave! Been going here for years. Food is always delicious. Service is always great. I highly recommend this place. Southwestern recipes. I suggest the lamb chops, fried chicken, short ribs, collard greens, mashed potatoes.

The bar staff is friendly and even the managers greeted me when I came and went. Can't wait to go back and eat again. I asked the bartender which steak meal was most tasty and I was suggested the medallion steak with sweet potato mashed. Was so good! I nearly ate it all.

Food and service are great. The noise level in restaurant is loud. Will bring my ear plugs next time.

I'll start off by admitting I am not a local, but I was taken here by locals that ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place. It's hands down their favorite restaurant to take visitors, go for special occasions, go for large parties, or just a night out. And this place is great for all of the above - there are always reservations or the wait is reasonable, there's good space for larger parties, but also space for a tucked away date night, the setup is great. The staff and atmosphere are comfortable and welcoming - truly. And the service is fantastic- friendly, attentive servers with great skill. We had a party of nine and not one thing was wrong or needed to be repeated, and she was just lovely which enhanced the experience. Now on to the food! We went for dinner and it was good, I'd definitely come back and try other things on the menu. I was told the chicken was a specialty of theirs - what they are known for - so I, of course, got the chicken. It was good but the seasoning did not reach the meat. Tasted like it could have been marinated longer - but the breading and top seasoning was excellent. I swapped the potatoes and corn for the grits and collard greens and that was a perfect decision. Some of the best grits and definitely the best collard greens I've ever had in my life. A must order. My drink - the skinny margarita- was okay. They really like spice here, see the menu, and I think it can be a bit overwhelming - one 'spicy' item per dish is sufficient and would allow that item to stand out. But, it's all tasty so I still recommend eating your way through the menu :) Valet parking is easy and available. They also have a good bar scene, so you can come for drinks and apps just as easily. Great spot in ATL.

Tonight was an impromptu visit to Agave Restaurant. I normally always know where I want to end dinner but, tonight I didn't. My husband suggested Agave due to it's close proximity to 1-20 and it being an option if BOGO entree via the Dining Out Passbook. I've been craving short ribs so, Tonight, I ordered the Beef Short Rib that was served over sweet potato mash Service from Heather was just as amazing as the food! Heather also kept the chips and salsa coming which we of course enjoyed.

Honestly very surprised this place averages only 4 stars. It should be higher! Moises gave us fabulous service. I am truly shocked I've never been here, having lived in atlanta since before it opened in 2003. It was sooo popular the night we went-- popping from 6pm until we left at 9pm. It was a good value too! Excited to have uncovered this neighborhood spot and I'm eager to go back!

This place is amazing! I am upset at myself that it took me so long to finally leave a review because this was one of the best meals i have had in a very long time. I drive past here every day and finally for Valentine's Day we decided to give it a try. It was packed that night and we were sooo glad we made reservations. We were seated immediately upon check in. I will say the dining area was pretty tight and there was a lot of hustle and bustle going on around us with the wait staff, BUT that didn't ruin our experience one bit. Now on to the food & Drinks... We started with Agave Top Shelf Margarita and the Peachtree Margarita. Let me tell you, if you are looking for good strong drinks, this is your place! These drinks did not disappoint. For food, we started with the Queso Fundito and the Guacamole. I loved the queso. It had a nice kick and meatiness from the chorizo. The guac on the other hand was just okay to me. For the main course I ordered the Grilled Berkshire Pork Chop and it was seasoned and grilled to perfection! The greens were really tasty and the Mac and cheese was really good as well. EVERYTHING was very well seasoned, I cannot stress that enough! My husband ordered the special which was a surf and turf kind of option. It came with beautifully grilled filet mignon which surprisingly came with 2 good size filet pieces, shrimp, asparagus and corn. It was so good! We finished the meal with the strawberry cheesecake and you could tell it was home made. It was delicious. I would definitely recommend Agave and plan on returning soon to try other menu items.

The food was okay, would have to go back and try something else. I ordered "tacos" but it was served like an enchilada, which just threw me off. The flavor was okay. My meat was very salty and the rice was over cooked in areas. I was still able to eat most of it with no issues. I thought it would be more authentic but it seems more of a fusion place. The service was great, our server was very attentive and helpful. The decor was the best part. You felt like you were at someone's home and they payed attention to detail.

Complimentary valet Reservation not required but preferred I would eat here every day of my life if I could. I have to actively tell myself to choose a different restaurant because somehow I always end up coming back lol. I am pacing myself but I have a personal goal of trying everything thing on their menu. Everything that I have tried thus far is amazing. I would highly recommend the scallops! The flavors are so unique and well paired

This is a really special place and consistently gets a crowd on the weekends. I live very close to it so can walk to it but they have pretty big parking lot. They recently restarted their happy hour and the food and drink selection is top notch. The margAritas are really good and definitely worth trying all the differnt kinds. Also ordered the crab cakes and meatballs. Both were seasoned to perfection and perfect tapa for margaritas. Look forward to frequenting this joint again soon.
