Aguamiel - Review - Covent Garden - London - The Infatuation

"Aguamiel is a Mexican churrería in London, but we keep coming back for their speciality cold drinks and sunny little counter. A short walk from Covent Garden, this blink-and-you’ll-miss-it spot is ideal for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. Churros are fried to order, dusted in cinnamon, and dunked into pink and red sauce cups—the dulce de leche and condensed milk are our favourites. But really it’s the horchata cold brew that made this spot enter our coffee break rotation. It’s sweet, but not enough to make it sickly, has a creamy, nutty flavour from the milk, and the sprinkling of cinnamon on top adds a warm, welcome spice. Grab it to go, or sit at the suntrap counter. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute" - Sinéad Cranna

Elephant and Castle’s Best Cafes, Bars, and Snacks | Eater London

"This nameless one-man operation next to La Bodeguita’s satellite stall outside the tube station has the entire fried sweet snack market of Elephant and Castle wanting churros and donuts. The churros are three thick long stems for £2 and are fried fresh to order, which makes all the difference. Donuts are for the purists. Essentially the Neapolitan of the donut world, it’s a Homer Simpson favourite containing dough and sugar, and cutting through the oily-crusted outer golden ring gives way to fluffy white innards. This simple sugar-dusted treat is the perfect ending to a meal from any of its surrounding neighbours." - Jonathan Nunn

These are my favourite churros ever! I’ve been many times so this review is already a bit late. The churros are crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside:) I’ve had the chocolate dip and the dulce de Leche dip and I’m so in love with the dulce de leche dip (they also sell jars of this dip) !! The hot xocolate is nice on a cold day and good for dipping churros into as well! They have a range of horchatas as well that are super yummy! (My faves are the original, matcha and earl grey) Also the owners are lovely:)

The best churros I’ve had in London, I tried their temporary Easter special which was mini churros with strawberry ice cream, strawberries and chocolate sauce as seen in the photo. Soo delicious, the churros tasted really fresh as did everything else. Best spot for churros!

Fresh churros cooked to order and great hot Mexican drinks. We tried the hot chocolate and horchata which were both fantastic, the Mexican hot chocolate was so fluffy. I would suggest the chocolate dipping sauce which is rich, the dulce de leche was a bit too sweet. I will be coming back to try the Mexican coffee. There were a few seats in the store so you could sit and eat, we arrived at 8am so the shop was busy but relaxed. I have a feeling that earlier in the day it will be mad busy.

If you are even considering going you MUST!! This place is a must try! The staff are so lovely, the churros are incredible and they have a range of drinks to pair with your churros. You won’t be able to stop going here once you have tried it. The churros are made fresh to order and have an amazing crunch! The horchata was something else! Haven’t been able to find it anywhere and was so excited to try it when I saw it here, they nailed it!

Churros cooked fresh before your eyes. Service was very quick. Decent amount of cinnamon sugar sprinkled over my churros. It was not oily. It was crunch on the outside and chewy in the middle. They have dips - salted caramel, chocolate and white chocolate. The chocolate was the best choice. I wanted to have more 🤣 but I was too full already. 😅 i have more reason to go back. I tried the horchata with espresso as recommended by thr barista. Amazing! Accepts credit cards Has about <10 seating space 😊

On top of serving tasty fresh churros, I have to say that their customer service is outstanding! They are lovely and take the time to explain their menu if you need advice to choose! Everything seems to be homemade and tastes like it!

Best Horchata and churros in London | I tried 3 of their horchata drink and they were so good I couldn't stop drinking! The churros are so super nice, very crunchy and fluffy with great dips to go alongside it. The vibes are lovely and feels cozy with great service from the lovely staff there.

A nice little churros spot with authentic Mexican churros. Service is fairly quick, but you might want to avoid peak times like weekend evenings, as there can be long queues. You can choose your dip or go for hot chocolate or sweet coffee to pair with your churros. Four pieces are usually a bit much for one person, especially after dinner, so sharing with a friend is a better idea. If you’re near Covent Garden and fancy a quick dessert, this is the place to go.
