"AIRrepublic is a sensational restaurant housed in a sleek building in Cadzand Marina, surrounded by dunes and boats. From here you can take in sweeping views of the North Sea and truly breathtaking sunsets! The adjoining AIRcafé is a delightful spot in which to enjoy sophisticated snacks and drinks. The Zeeland terroir, especially fish and seafood, is showcased here in truly original ways. For example, beurre blanc enriched with plankton accompanies gently cooked cod and mussels to lend the dish an intensely briny quality. It is the subtle crispness and the modern, elaborate take on the traditional local seafood cuisine that make AIRrepublic, a proud ambassador for Zeeland, unique. That same sentiment applies to the thoughtfully curated wine list, which includes a number of interesting bottles from the New World, Slovenia and Switzerland." - Michelin Inspector

Great dishes, summer look and feel (fish, watermelon, cucumber, etc.), lounge music. Our kids tried a bit of everything, while they did not even finish their air pizza.... Would come again, even if you cannot park close by

Love the view, the food, but the staff could surely be more friendly! Prices on the side, cuz its a relative thing, the whole package could feel less commercial.

Great food and service! We had a 3 course menu and were stuffed at the end. The house G&T is great as well.

Strongly recommended place for highly gastronomical experience without paying the full price for it. Specialised in fish dishes, so would stick to it. Enjoy, sit back, eat well and relax

Amazing gastronomic journey! Great flavours, beautiful local ingredients and stunning ‘culinary art’. Also, the view of the North Sea is breath taking. We were lucky to have Sergio himself in the kitchen👌

Even after sleeping on it for a night, I'm still very annoyed. If a reservation with your restaurant does not turn up you charge 100 EURO per person. I have been of the opinion since yesterday that as a guest you should do the same in reverse if, for example, as happened in our case, the reservation is lost due to your mistake. As a guest in the star category, you are sometimes prepared to travel long distances, including an overnight stay in a hotel. In our case, we came from Düsseldorf, not only the evening, but the whole weekend was ruined by your mistake. No question, mistakes can happen, but in the times where you think a penalty payment is necessary, this should count for both sides. That would only be fair.

Yelp
Utterly disappointed after dinner here in July 2019. We are familiar with the chef and have enjoyed his other restaurants but Air Republic is insultingly overpriced for the food and experience. The menu includes items like a shrimp and tomato starter for 38 euro and a turbot main for 69 euro. The dishes we had - smoked eel, fish soup and cod - were fine but for a cost of more than 80 euro, should have been more exceptional. The atmosphere of the restaurant does not live up to the fine dining prices - it was extremely warm, there were flies biting my ankles and there were several tables with large groups of children crying and running around the tables. The kitchen is open and halfway through our meal, the chef was shouting at his staff and banging loudly, which many of the patrons stopped to take note. Most insultingly, my husband waited for me to use the restroom as we were leaving and was asked by a staffer to stand outside rather than inside the entrance. The view of the water is beautiful but the restaurant should decide if it wishes to be a family-friendly seaside experience or a white table cloth fine dining establishment. At the moment, it is neither.
