"AK Fresh Roast is a Vietnamese coffee shop inside San Gabriel’s Blossom Market Hall where you’ll find really good iced coffee, plus unique items like pandan lattes and croissant waffles (aka “croffles”) topped with pork floss. If you want to get a little work done, the secret here is to head up to the food hall’s spacious second floor, which is basically an unofficial study area, complete with wifi and outlets. Once you’ve procrastinated enough, head downstairs to one of the market’s dozen food vendors." - nikko duren, brant cox, sylvio martins

Google
First time visiting Blossom Market Hall & love it! AK is located inside. The woman that took more order was very nice. She recommended the Vietnamese coffee and it was perfect. Will definitely come back.

I ordered the pandan coffee. The pandan is flavorful, and the coffee is very strong. Even after you mix the drink, the pandan flavor still comes through. They have a great assortment of other drinks and some cool snacks. The croffle smelled really good.

It’s a gem! One of the beat Vietnamese coffee shops in the area, it’s located in the Blossom market hall. Here are my go-to drinks: Egg coffee, pandan coffee and ube coffee! Note to self, if you order pandan coffee, you can’t adjust the sweetness level (the owner suggested that though) So if you are sensitive to sugar, ube coffee might be a better choice (you can do 50% sweetness and it is still good) Croffle was yum too! The only suggestion would be the cup design, it literally spills everywhere. (Yeah it sucks) Even though the staff kindly put a tape around the cup, it was a mess. Other than that, def worth trying! So tasty! #bb1

Google
Out of the two drinks I tried, the iced pandan coffee was the best. It was not overly sweet, and I could taste the pandan. The ube coconut latte, on the other hand, was surprisingly under flavored, I couldn't really taste the ube. The service was great and the staff was extremely friendly. AK fresh roast is located inside the blossom market hall. There's seating on the first floor, but the second floor is where people go to get some work done. There's free WiFi and outlets. There's also a lot of parking. open

There isn't food here, but there are homemade cookies that I haven't tried. I am here a lot, and I know the owner by name. I get the oatmilk shaken espresso with 50% of the brown sugar. So so good of you dislike sugary drinks like me. They are inside Blossom Market Hall in the historicial downtown San Gabriel. 😍

Love the coffee selections, so refreshing and tasty!! First time trying a Pandan coffee ever, totally loved it!! Strong Vietnamese coffee combined with a new taste, wish I can have it daily if I could!! :) Service was great, the blossom market hall is nice and clean with modern seating arrangements and lots of parkings. Super impressed!!

Google
Very disappointed with this place - came to get a coffee & drink with my daughter. Ordered a cafe latte, but they don’t have skim/nonfat milk so changed to an American coffee. They wanted to charge me an extra 75 cents for a splash of half and half. Sorry, but this is ridiculous - I don’t buy the whole inflation thing on a cup of regular coffee. On top of that, the default pressure to tip on the payment screen. I opted to not get a coffee so I gave the food a 3 star because my daughter said her drink was good.

Too bad they were out of durian, would have wanted to try. I had the Milo delight, Pandan and Ube Latte! So good! and staff was very friendly!

Yelp
AK Fresh Roast is located inside of Blossom Market Hall. The owner is the sweetest lady -- she really makes all the drinks w love & the quality is AMAZING ! I noticed for the pandan coffee, she extracts the leaves which is so yummy ! My sister and I come pretty frequently and always order saur much because we like to save these drinks and drink them throughout the week. The service is fast & I love how this is in a little cafeteria area with other kinds of foods being sold :-) I ordered the durian coffee -- SOO good if you're a durian connoisseur like me. I haven't really came across a coffee shop that serves durian coffee so seeing this made me sosososo happy heheh I love supporting small businesses and they rly do make their coffee with quality and love. If you're ever in this area, you need to stop by at least once :-) We'll be back soon !

Yelp
New go to for Thai coffee. Been on a Thai coffee kick and there is literally no where else close by offering Thai coffee within a couple miles of my home. I've stopped into AK Fresh before when visiting the Blossom Market Food Hall. Great teas and boba drinks. I was craving an iced coffee while picking up lunch so I walked over to AK Fresh. To my delight the first thing that caught my eye was the Thai Coffee. Was this a new item or had I been looking over it with previous visits? Love at first sip! I am beyond happy that this Thai Coffee was delish and hit the spot. It had the strong brewed coffee flavor mixed with creamy sweetness that you would expect. I honestly was too excited to even realize how much I paid..worth it! I'll be back real soon for my next fix!

Yelp
I love this place! I always bring visiting family and friends here because the Hojicha is on another level! Caveat, I'm sensitive to caffeine so don't mind my 1 shot downgrade! Haha My only wish is that I wish you could decrease the sweetness without reducing the flavors. I was told that the reason for this is bc it's a long and laborious process of making the flavors from fresh ingredients at the beginning of the week and it has a limited shelf life. _what I get - pandan coffee, single shot, 75% sweetness - hojicha, single shot, 75% sweetness - dirty hojicha: this was was too much for me. I got super wired! _service Everyone here is great vibes and very friendly! Maybe because I frequent this place too often but we're best friends. _parking There's plenty of parking along the street and in the back that's shared with the Sam Gabriel Mission Playhouse.

Yelp
Went on an early Tuesday morning, got the black sesame coffee, totally love it. However, the croffle was super dry it was not as good as expected. Will come back for coffee but not the croffle.

Yelp
A true hidden gem. I had the pleasure of visiting AK Fresh Roast in the Blossom Market Hall in San Gabriel. Blossom Market is home to many delicious restaurants with plenty of options for your palette! It also features many amenities such as dedicated study areas as well as free wifi to do HW. There's also an art exhibit on the 2nd floor! The service was incredible. Jacklyn & Linda were kind enough to recommend me the Pandan Oat Latte. They recommended me to try the Pandan Oat Latte. This drink is just as delicious as it is beautiful Their pandan is organic & made in house! It arrives in a tasty 2-tone then mixes as you stir it. That is where the flavors combine for a memorable delightful taste. I also tried the banana coconut muffin from the bakery next door & it was hand-made deliciousness!!! Overall I was extremely impressed by this hidden gem of a cafe.

Yelp
This place is tucked inside of the blossom food hall so there's plenty of parking. I got the brown sugar shaken espresso and it was so delicious and full of flavor! You could taste the coffee and the brown sugar but it wasn't too bitter or too sweet. 1000% better than the Starbucks version. I definitely can't wait to come back and try more of their drinks.

Cindy T.

Yelp
Two words: PANDAN. COFFEE. That's all you need to know. Now go try it. I daydream about this pandan coffee and this is the only place you can get it in the area. Their pandan juice is made in-house and it's so pungent in the best way, you really do get that pandan flavor throughout the coffee from start to finish. I've tried a lot of their other iced drinks which are also extremely enjoyable, like the kumquat espresso tonic, thai coffee, and shaken espresso, to name a few. BUT THE PANDAN COFFEE... that's a winner. Their innovation of Southeast asian flavors with coffee is unmatched, in my opinion. They're located at the very front, near the entrance of the Blossom Market hall, right next to Baking with Ish. The perfect combo, baked goods and coffee. Not to mention the level of accessibility is so convenient if you're on the go. Theres usually always a line, but they operate so fluidly and efficiently, I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my order. Those ladies are putting in work and they do it with the best attitudes. There's also plenty of seating inside and outside for you to settle down and take a moment to bask in their caffeinated splendor. AK Fresh Roast holds a special place in my heart and I don't see that changing any time soon. Thank you ladies, keep up the great work!

Andy T.

Yelp
AK Fresh Roast left a good impression on me the first time, so I had to come back! This time I went on Wednesday around 8 AM. There was only one staff taking orders and making the drinks, so I needed to wait to order. In the middle of ordering, another staff came in, so things got quicker. The staff were both super friendly and cheerful! This time I ordered an Ube coffee with oat milk and an original croffle. They let me know that the croffle will take an extra 5 minutes to make, which was something I was fine with. I got my coffee within a few minutes. The base of the coffee was strong, while the Ube foam was not too sweet. Together, it was the right balance! The Ube foam dissolved easily as you swirl the cup around and by itself over time. For the croffle, if you're a big fan of sweets, then this is for you! I finished a good portion of it, but eventually gave up because it was too sweet.

Yelp
Quality coffee and a nice place to grab a drink while studying at blossom market hall. I got the brown sugar shaken latte and enjoyed it!

Claudia C.

Yelp
My favorite place in the SGV for cream top coffee, which I have been pretty obsessed with lately! I did have 1 bad experience where a more inexperienced person perhaps made my egg coffee and it was way too sweet. All the other times I have had no problems and have not had to adjust my sweetness levels. They also have some enticing seasonal lattes that are hard to pass up. Located in a food hall with a nice study area upstairs and restaurants downstairs. Great place to meet with friends to cowork/study as there's solid Wi-Fi and lots of seating + very ample parking lot and street parking if you really need to.

Yelp
This was my first time ever in Blossom Market Hall, and I'm glad to have found that AK Fresh Roast was also on my bookmarks! I wanted to try their Thai Latte, but they were out of Thai for the day :( Instead, I tried their Ube Latte and enjoyed the service and care given by the staff member. The was uniquely comforting and gentle that I didn't mind the substitute. Ube Latte... I wasn't sure what to expect, but I wasn't expecting a purple-brown gradient drink - as advertised - to be this tasty! The espresso brewed here is especially bold, though not bitter, and the ube flavor was a good contrast. My only wish was that the ube flavor was slightly more prevalent and less powdery, since the powder remained at the end of the drink. The drink was otherwise perfect without additional flavoring, and I intend on returning after this excellent experience.

Yelp
[ Background ] July 2024 on a Sunday at ~1:40 PM Located in the Blossom Market Hall, AK Fresh Roast is a coffee shop that specializes in Vietnamese coffee but also offers teas and croffles (croissant waffles). Most of their items have a strong Asian influence, containing ingredients like matcha, ube, coconut milk, lemongrass, and black sesame. The front entrance on South Mission Drive leads directly to the shop, but if you're entering through the parking lot entrance, you'll have to walk a little. They only have one table in the corner even though there's a lot of empty space. Fortunately, there's an abundance of tables and chairs in the food hall (although it did get packed during lunch time). [ Food ] Their drinks are very aesthetically pleasing. Pictures and prices of their offerings are included on their online menu: https://akfreshroast.square.site/s/order Because I don't drink coffee, I ordered: * Eric's Specialty ($6.25) Listed under the Caffeine Free section of the menu, this drink is also dairy-free since it uses coconut milk. The beverage came with a bed of red strawberry bits at the bottom, covered with a light olive green layer of pandan juice that was blended with coconut milk and ice. The creamy and viscous pandan mixture had a nice toasty, nutty flavor; it was my first time trying pandan, and I was pleasantly surprised. And of course, the strawberry bits were sweet but not saccharine. [ Service ] There was only one person in front of me in line, so I didn't have to wait long. The employee who took my order was friendly and polite, and I paid by tapping my credit card on the card reader device. After a very short wait, I received my drink. [ Tips ] Parking is extremely easy. There are a couple of parking spots directly in front of the Blossom Market Hall on South Mission Drive with a 2-hour limit. Otherwise, there are plenty of spots located in the parking lot behind the building ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/qXekpiD4fAee3mbt7 ). If you're interested in their seasonal drinks, check out the seasonal section on their online menu. Alternatively, the seasonal menu is also displayed in the coffee shop under their restaurant sign on the wall to the right of the register. I wish they would've put it somewhere more visible (maybe underneath the regular menu) since I might've ordered the Kumquat Matcha Tonic or the Pandan Green Tea if I knew about them.

Yelp
+Parking: Plenty of parking at the Mission or street parking. +Location/Atmosphere: The Blossom Market does get really packed on weekends, but the location is normally fine on weekdays. There are a few chairs in front of AK Fresh Roast and some inside specially for them, but you can always sit anywhere inside the market. Cute place to bring people out of town! +Drinks: 1. Vietnamese Coffee: I would just get this drink, since the coffee has the most flavor and it's made with condensed milk. 2. Coconut Coffee: Tasted really bland. It does come with regular whole milk and coconut milk; however, I had my BF ask for Oatmilk. All I tasted was a hint of coconut milk flavor, majority oatmilk, and a little bit of coffee. I ended up mixing black coffee from another location with this item. Would recommend working on the ratio.

Quoc H.

Yelp
Went to the blossom food hall for morning coffee on a weekday. There was plenty of parking on the lot and the hall was pretty empty. AK fresh Roast is the first stall upon entering. Service was pretty quick with drinks coming out in 5min. 8/10 Ube Coffee $6.50 - Ube foam on top was light in flavor but well made in terms of creaminess and sweetness. Flavor was authentic but disappeared when mixed in with the coffee. 7.5/10 Pandan Coffee $6.50 - Pandan foam was made just as well but the flavor was a bit off. Both coffee bases were solid viet coffees. Strong, sweet, rich and yummy.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place and came here after reading the Yelp reviews. Unfortunately my experience was not great and the coffee was not either. I love dark roasts and Vietnamese coffees and am used to drinking it straight up with no sugar or milk - the darker the better usually, but have recently been on an oat latte kick. The space is located at the back of the Blossom Market Hall, in the back next to Baking by Ish and near the rest rooms. When I originally mapped it, I didn't know it was in the hall even though I've been to the spot next door before lol I read the menu and knew my options were limited as almost everything had dairy, I originally was between the straight up Viet espresso or the shaken oat. The sesame latte sounded so good but figured it was out of the question but when I went up to order, the guy with the glasses said anything can be made without dairy so I got so excited and ordered the sesame latte, but then he said "it has heavy cream in it, is that ok?" And I said no, that's why I asked you at the beginning. It was so STRANGE! Like did that just happen?! Yes, yes it did. The girl who was making the coffee in the back even looked at him confused. I changed my order to the shaken oat latte. The flavor of the coffee was not good at all. I don't know if it was an off day but the experience was enough for me to never return.

Yelp
This is our go-to spot for coffee. We picked their Vietnamese coffee which was delicious and very strong. It woke me up instantly! Also pairs very well with ice cream! My boyfriend loves their pandan coffee and we also go their Uji Matcha Coconut to try. The Matcha drink was pretty good and not too sweet, which is perfect for me! Next time I would want to try it with almond milk instead of whole milk.

Yelp
(IG: @foodwithdeni) #dEATs *Visited @akfreshroast, located inside @blossommarkethall !! Ive been looking for more coffee shops in the 626 and this one has to be my new favorite! Yelp
I should have done this review a long time ago... I've been a regular since blossom opened! My 1st go-to drink was Vietnamese coffee... then I switched to Shaken Espresso with almond, dark roast, and sometimes extra sweet Service is always good! Everyone's nice and helpful. I've seen them start from the beginning when blossom just opened... and I'd say they do get busy (with a line), but they can always handle it. The wait isn't usually that long. I like Blossom. Weekdays: it's a good place to chill, go upstairs, and do some laptop works with a cup of iced/hot coffee or read a book or just eat brunch. Weekends: That's when it gets a little crowded

Lauren C.

Yelp
This place is located inside a cute little food hall with many options. Service is a little slow but they are making many different fun drinks so that's to be expected. They use Vietnamese coffee in their drinks which I love because it's very strong. Over all I would come back again on a day off. There is also live music inside this hall on Saturday's and a farmers market across the street. Egg cream coffee- 8/10 it's not sweet and very creamy but didn't have an egg flavor that I was thinking it might have. Cream brûlée - 9/10 my favorite so far. Definitely on the sweeter side but once you mix the coffee in it tames the sweetness.

Haley L.

Yelp
My bf and I were visiting from NorCal and found this place on Yelp. The first time we visited, we ordered the iced egg coffee and iced coconut coffee. This was one of the best egg coffees that I've had 10/10. The sweet cream (but not too sweet) balanced out the strong flavor of the viet coffee. I'm not a huge fan of coconut so it was 7/10 for me but bf really enjoyed it. We stopped by one last time before heading home and got the iced macbrulee coffee and iced sesame latte. The macbrulee reminded me of Hawaiian lattes we would get in Hawaii - soo good but a bit too sweet for me 9/10. The black sesame latte was very nutty and strong at first but once it mixed in, it was so good 8/10.

Kevin C.

Yelp
Omg this place is amazing. There's a lot of coffee places out there, but this place has amazing unique drinks. Look up the menu! Everything looks good but the execution is also excellent, these drinks don't just look great they taste even better. Staff is super friendly (I'm guessing it was the owner, she was so sweet and friendly), we got the viet egg coffee and the coconut uji matcha. We asked for less sweet and it was ACTUALLY not too sweet WITHOUT tasting bland. All too often if you ask for less sweet at a place it's still really sweet, or it will taste bland and have no flavor because their mixes are premade to be sweet. Both our drinks were handcrafted with specific ingredients, the egg coffee still had great egg flavor, and the matcha still had great coconut flavor without being too sweet. I will definitely be back to try more of the drinks. Highly highly recommended.

Yelp
AK Fresh Roast was a last minute decision and probably a great decision! It's located inside the Blossom Market Hall in San Gabriel, there is a huge parking lot and we went on a Saturday afternoon and had absolutely no trouble finding any parking. There are other places located inside kind of like a mini food hall which I'm definitely coming back to explore. The ambience was very relaxing and not too crowded for a weekend. The customer service here is amazing, it was delightful talking to the lady taking our order. It was super hard deciding which coffee to get because they had so many great options! I settled with three: The black sesame latte: absolutely delicious! The sesame foam is so good and you can taste the nutty flavor that sesame is.! Definitely my favorite! The egg coffee: the caramelized egg foam was so good and creamy! The coffee was stronger than other places I've had it. Definitely one of the better egg coffees out there. Lychee Cloud: I would have to say this coffee is definitely an acquired taste. I did like this coffee I think it was unique and something new to my flavor palette which I enjoyed. I think this drink is extremely creative and I liked it! Overall thoughts; great coffee, I would come back !

Andrew L.

Yelp
This coffee shop is located right at the front entrance of Blossom Market. This was my first time trying their coffee and I have to say, it's pretty good. Coffee: good & unique! I ordered the iced egg coffee and the flavors are reminiscent of a zabaglione. Although you have to really mix it, the flavors come out as creamy and sweet. recommend! Service: good! The lady helping us was super helpful and really knew her coffee. She made some recommendations that I will for sure check out next time! Thanks!

Angelique C.

Yelp
EDIT: The Black sesame is now on their regular menu!!! AMAZING 10/10 Black Sesame Coffee!!! It's a seasonal item and I was really hoping I could make it before it left their menu, and thank God I did. This is one of my favorite black sesame drinks I've had-- the cream is sweet enough yet has the perfect amount of black sesame flavor. Also, when I asked about how I should drink it, the worker came up to me and so enthusiastically shared that she would sip it without mixing to taste the black sesame cream (and in my opinion, this tasted great drinking it this way). Thank you! Parking was also pretty abundant, and this little cute coffee spot is inside the market where there's tons of food. Would definitely recommend coming here! Note: This is not the same as the Black Sesame Latte (thank you to the worker that pointed out the difference for me ((the coffee)).

Steve H.

Yelp
AK Fresh Roast is located right next to the San Gabriel Mission and inside a newly built market place with lots of parking space! It's a specialty coffee shop, so I ordered the most popular coffee it offers: Ice Pandan Coffee. The coffee is strong, flavorful with milk, pandan juice and other specialty ingredients that are commonly found on south East Asian countries. The order process is easy, staff are friendly when I ask questing about drinks and ingredients they use to make coffee stand out the most. AK Fresh Roast coffee shop is clean and use fresh ingredients in their drinks. Their coffee has strong aroma, right amount of ice and sugar. All together makes a rich coffee drinking experience. I will be back to try hot and ice coffee!

Becky L.

Yelp
Gotta love 'AK Fresh Roast,'. For the friendly staff working here. They were both in masks still. Any ways, I wasn't sure what to order but decided to go for their Vietnamese coffee. It turned out super tasty. They utilize Oat Milk and Condensed Milk which were just perfect for the taste on top of ice levels. Any ways, you can't go wrong ordering any drink here because, they are able to customize the drink to your taste buds' needs. I spent some time having fun taking pics at Blossom Market Hall, San Gabriel, CA. today because I haven't been back for awhile. I'll be back trying a different drink next time I'll be back in town which is probably very soon like later this week.

Yelp
Disclaimer: I have been a frequent customer of AK Fresh Roast for the past 2 years, which is a strong indicator that I love coming here! Of course with my frequent visits, I have been lucky to taste so many of their interesting coffee concoctions. They are located right at the entrance of Blossom Market Hall. Here are some of my favorites that I wanted to highlight: Pandan Coffee: My most favorite of all the drinks! It has an earthy taste that is well balanced by the milk and espresso. I would recommend this for anyone with a curiosity to try this unique combination. Ube Coffee: The mixture of the ube foam on top of the Vietnamese coffee together creates not only an interesting flavor but texture as well because the foam adds a bit of airiness to the coffee when mixed. Thai Coffee: This is my current favorite. I appreciate the half and half flavor because it really highlights the various grains/seeds/spices flavor from the Thai coffee itself. Love it! A good tip is to follow their Instagram account (@akfreshroast) because they offer a seasonal menu with unique drinks for a limited time. An example is their Fall 2023 seasonal menu, which included Ube Pumpkin Pie Coffee, Pistachio Coconut Coffee, Hojicha Latte & Dirty Hojicha Latte, and Black Sesame Latte & Black Sesame Coffee. Overall, AK Fresh Roast has always been a pleasant experience for me. Drinks are always on point, and customer service is awesome. I got to know Lynn (the owner), and it is always a fun time chatting with her every time I come by. I suggest coming before or after the lunch rush (especially on weekends) as the line can get long. Definitely add AK Fresh Roast to your next stop!

Terry K.

Yelp
Needed an afternoon coffee pick me up after running errands and AK Fresh Roasters was close by. They have a lot of unique flavors of coffees. We ordered a Vietnamese black coffee and black sesame coffee. Both coffees were strong. My black sesame coffee was flavorful as well. Service was very friendly but it takes a while because there's only 2 people running their counter. I would come back to try their other flavored coffees.

Tony C.

Yelp
My favorite coffee place in the 626! AK Fresh Roast has a number of Asian inspired coffees: - Vietnamese coffee - Vietnamese egg coffee - Pandan latte - Ube latte My favorite is the Coconut coffee (blended). Many of these styles of coffees are hard to find elsewhere and AK Fresh Roast makes them very well. Highly recommend!

Misa O.

Yelp
This place is the LA County Da Vien. I Doordashed the Egg Coffee and Black Sesame Coffee. I love how customizable the drinks are. Both drinks were so good, my friend and I kept switching off drinking both because we could not decide which we liked better. This coffee instantly turned my day around! You need to try it if you're a Vietnamese coffee addict like me.

Yelp
Came upon this place from a recommendation. Nice little corner stand located inside a food hall named Blossom Market Hall between S. Santa Anita St & W. Broadway. For quickest & easiest access, they have a couple stalls of parking right out front on Mission Dr directly or the lot parking in the back. Came here in the morning around 9am & there was a fair line but the workers here are great & efficient & from the time we got in line until we got our drinks was no more than 10 mins. They actually had a Yelp check in discount at the time for $1 off any drink & the lady who checked us out was really nice about letting us use it as I've been to some places where people get annoyed or look at me weird for trying to use a check in promo that they have. I got the iced black sesame coffee & my other party got an iced strawberry coconut latte. My sesame latte was great & the coffee was a great mixture of not too strong but not soft either. The strawberry coconut latte was too sweet for my taste but it wasn't bad. This was my 2nd time here & the experience was still great. I look forward to returning when I'm in the area again to try their other colorful & unique looking drinks.

Kislev A.

Yelp
AK FRESH ROAST is located inside BLOSSOM MARKET HALL, a food hall in the midst of San Gabriel down the street from the San Gabriel Mission. The hall has a large free parking lot around it and the doors open early just for the coffee customers. Thank you! Ordered the UBE VIETNAMESE COFFEE and it was AWESOME!. They made the use cream when we ordered so it took a little longer to get our drink compared to getting a drip coffee for example. The workers are friendly and patient. The line to order is kinda long but don't worry, the coffee is so worth it.

Sebastian G.

Yelp
AMBIANCE - Located at the beautiful Blossom Market Hall, which I've never visited before, this was a really nice experience. Aside from all of the different spots to grab food, AK Fresh Roast is clean and airy. There's seating but nothing is directly correlated to each restaurant. Overall, a really cute market hall in San Gabriel. FOOD - I saw a lot of the reviews were about the Pandan Latte but I was more in the mood for their Shaken Espresso with Oat Milk. The coffee was good quality, not very sweet, but the drink overall was great. It's definitely not creamy if that's what you're looking for. SERVICE - The gentleman who took my order was nice and helpful. I think he was the only one working but he still treated me well! NOTE(S) - Plenty of parking, seating, and other places to eat inside.

AK Fresh Roast really impresses with friendly staff and delicious drinks. I tried the egg coffee and pandan coffee. Both were tasty, though a bit pricey. Visiting on a Friday morning and there was hardly any wait. They offer decaf options. The plaza provides seating both downstairs and upstairs, and the facility was clean. While it's a great spot for an elevated coffee experience, the higher price point means I'll likely visit more sparingly. Still, it's definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for something special.

Yelp
When you enter the Blossom Market Hall from the entrance on Mission Drive, AK Fresh Roast is the first shop to the right. Got here at 10A Sunday and there were a couple of people in line ahead of us. Ordered an Iced Ube Coconut Latte with whole milk and coconut milk (non caffeinated). There's a discount for checking in on Yelp which was awesome. The drink came out fast. I enjoyed the nutty, vanilla-like flavor of the ube cream--it was the perfect sweet treat for the morning.

Yelp
Located in the corner of the food hall, they are right next to Ish. I was greeted when I came within the area. Then I went up to the counter and asked about ordering drinks and being able to modify them to be dairy free. The person helping me was not knowledgeable. They told me they could make the drink for me with a milk alternative, so I said yeah, that would be awesome, then the asked what's in the top portion of the drink and they tell me it's made with milk. I told him forget it, just give me a basic ice shaken espresso with oat milk. The drink was so bad. It was super bitter and super dark. Tastes like my beginning days of making my own espresso at home, lol. It was made wrong, there should never be a drink that bad from a proper espresso maker.

Yelp
Love this spot! I always check it out whenever I'm the area. Would highly, highly recommend getting the Pandan or Vietnamese Egg Coffee. These days I like my coffee strong but also somewhat sweet as well and both of these get the job done. The pandan coffee has a thick espresso taste to it so you get that caffeine kick but it also has a nice balance with the pandan (vanilla + coconut-esque flavor) that makes it very easy to drink. As for the Vietnamese egg coffee, it's quite a delicacy in my opinion and not everyone can make it correctly but I truly believe that AK Fresh Roast has perfected it --- the cold foam is so creamy and made with the perfect amount of egg, sugar and condensed milk that gives it just the right amount of 'fluff' but also custard like flavor that doesn't take away from the strong robusta beans that Viet coffee is known for. Service is always great as well and even when the lines are long, you can usually get your drink within ~5 mins. An easy 5/5!

Yelp
Ordered the coconut matcha and it was so tasty and creamy! Will definitely be back. I came on a very busy Sunday as there was an event going on, and the service was great. They took our order quickly considering how busy they were. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks! This is located in a market, there is plenty of food options. 2-3 tables available for seating. My friend asked for strawberry bits on her matcha, and it was also super tasty. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
I am a huge fan of this place! I've tried a couple of their coffees and my faves are: ube latte, pandan latte, and recently their seasonal pistachio latte. I'd recommend passing on the egg coffee if you're expecting a Vietnamese style coffee like the one from Da Vien because it's not the same at all. Since this is a small spot and usually had a line, you can expect to wait. The drinks are always great so I'd say the wait is worthwhile :)

Yelp
So so glad I stumbled on this place. Located at the Blossom Market Hall right at the entrance on Mission, plenty of parking, free WiFi, 2nd floor quiet study area = my perfect spot to get work done. It was quiet when I rolled in at 8:30am. I was greeted by a delightfully friendly woman. We chatted a bit and she gave me some recommendations for drinks and wow, the ube coffee was delicious! Great balance of sweetness and strong coffee. I also got a cheesecake croffle which was crispy and chewy and so good. Conveniently, the stairs to go upstairs is right in front of the coffee shop. The woman waved at me and said "I'll see you later," knowing full well I'd be back for a second refill, and she was right! My second drink of choice was the iced sesame latte. It was very refreshing and a great choice for the afternoon. Definitely will be back to take advantage of the other food options for lunch :)

Yelp
I came here in the early morning to grab some coffee and cookies. Very easy to find parking, either in front of the building or the parking lot. Line was long as only two people were taking orders and making drinks (a very tough job to handle especially when busy), but service was good. I ordered the pandan coffee and egg coffee. I preferred the pandan coffee. I also tried the ube toffee crunch cookie and pandan with mango cookie. The cookies were soft and delicious. I would come back to try some other cookies and drinks.

Yelp
Amazing combination! The Cinnamon Croffle went very well with the Strawberry drink I had! The staff were very friendly and answered any questions I had, especially now since I don't drink caffeine anymore. They do have non caffeinated drinks too if you're not feeling up for coffee that day. Their Strawberry drink was great and you can definitely smell and taste the strawberry.

Yelp
/)/) ( . .) ( づ wow wow wow!!! Nicest and sweetest service ever and the drinks are DELICIOUS!!! Super fresh and good!!! We had the strawberry coconut, matcha latte and black sesame latte. The black sesame latte is not too sweet and has the perfect black sesame flavor intensity. IM OBSESSED!!! The strawberry coconut latte is fresh and has the perfect balance between the coconut and strawberry. And the matcha latte is a solid matcha latte! Appreciate it. Will be a regular at this place! This is my new go to favorite place. Pls keep up that quality

Yelp
Got this delivered thru DoorDash and it was so good! I love that they vietnamese fusion coffee drinks that can be adjusted to your liking! I feel like a lot of times specialty drinks only come in 1 sugar level but with here you can adjust both the sweetness and ice levels and that was really nice! We got the pandan latte as well as the dirty hojicha. Both were SUPER good and honestly you can't go wrong with either. The pandan one had a strong pandan taste and we got 25% percent sugar and it was actually not too sweet (the ultimate asian compliment lol). The dirty hojicha was really good as well with both the roasted green tea and coffee flavors equally as strong! Would love to visit the actual storefront one day!

Yelp
Visitation Rights: Been here twice in the month of June. Credit Cards: They're accepted Restrooms: The restrooms inside the Blossom Market Hall should accommodate. Location/Parking: Located inside the Blossom Market Hall next to Cooking With Ish. It is the first shop on your right when you come from the S. Mission Dr. entrance. Parking can be found either along S. Mission Dr. or in the shared lot in the back. Ambiance/Decor: Chill ambiance inside the market hall, but it can be busy depending on the time you go. As for the decor, you'll see some modern furnishings to sit and enjoy your food and drink. Service: Lynn and her staffers were nice, attentive, and offered great suggestions for me to consider. My drinks came out at a decent time. Drink Of Choice: I had both the hot and iced pandan drink. It was very good and surprisingly not that sweet. Make sure you do some shakes to mix all that good stuff up before consumption AK Fresh Roast For Thought: Wouldn't minding coming back to try other drinks or just stick with the same one.

Yelp
Yum, the ube coffee and matcha latte were so good! I'm not a huge fan of coffee, but the ube cream on top of the coffee gave it a hint of sweet and creaminess to the drink. This place had a lot of drink options, but the cashier was helpful in helping me decide which one was popular and what to try for. The drink took a little while to get, but I didn't mind since I was also waiting for my other food. This store is located in a food hall, so there were other different food/drink options to choose from. There is also ample free parking in the parking lot, so it's convenient to get to. Overall, I liked my drink and will try out other flavors next time!
