The Best Restaurants in Houston’s Garden Oaks and Oak Forest | Eater Houston

"There is no need to drive to Montrose for a meal at Aladdin, thanks to the longstanding Mediterranean restaurant’s outpost in Garden Oaks. Dig into belly-filling gyro plates or go for a handheld with tender meat or falafel carefully enveloped in warm, fluffy pita bread. Save room for traditional baklava, which is sweet and flaky to the touch." - Brianna Griff

Iconic Houston Mediterranean Restaurant Aladdin Debuts Garden Oaks Location - Eater Houston

"Later this week, popular Montrose Mediterranean restaurant Aladdin Mediterranean Cuisine will debut its second Houston location in Garden Oaks. A post to the restaurant’s Facebook page announces its opening at 1737 West 34th Street, across the street from the development that will house the forthcoming location of Les Ba’get. That part of the city has seriously improved its dining offerings in recent years, thanks to the opening of popular restaurants like Gatlin’s BBQ, The Union Kitchen, and SweetCup Gelato. When Aladdin makes its debut in Garden Oaks, it will serve the same menu of kebabs, chicken shawarma, and massive mezze platters that made the restaurant a Montrose classic. It’s a favorite of chef Chris Shepherd and vegetarians alike thanks to its super-fresh fare, bountiful hummus options, and that absurdly addictive garlic sauce that’s a perfect accompaniment to the restaurant’s freshly-fired pita. Aladdin will open its doors in Garden Oaks on Thursday, July 12." - Amy McCarthy

My coworkers and I came here not exactly knowing what to expect. Turns out it’s cafeteria style, but much of it is made to order, so that’s a good touch. Food was quite good! Everyone at my table had good things to say about their food. Prices were pretty reasonable for the amount of food you’re getting. Wouldn’t mind coming here again in the future.

Google
My friends recommended Aladdin Mediterranean Grill for a group meetup. I enjoyed the hummus and flat bread very much. I didn't care for the fish with sweet sauce. I think I will try the vegan combo next time.

Google
I really enjoy this place They never disappoint. I'm so glad I finally have business in this area to give me a reason to eat here! WARNING! Get EXTRA bread! 🍞

Google
Great food! Love all the sides. My favorites are the cauliflower, eggplant and the fried onion hummus. Fresh bread and grilled chicken always hit the spot. Food was so good, I forgot to take pictures.

First time in this Mediterranean restaurant and very positive surprise. Large choice of dishes. It’s like a buffet. Everything was excellent, including the bread.

See the video. I found a penny in my salad. I had already eaten part of it before noticing the coin, and had a copper taste in my mouth all night. I woke up nauseous. The employee who served me is visible in the video. The metal bowl he scooped the spinach from was almost empty, so he should have seen or heard the penny. Either way, it should not have been there. When I brought it up, he implied I was lying and gave me a hostile stare like he wanted to fight me. Completely unacceptable behavior. Your staff needs to take responsibility for serving contaminated food. I had no reason to put a penny in my own salad. I was hungry and came here for a healthy meal, as I’ve done many times before. But after this, you’ve lost a repeat customer. And to make it worse, on December 30, 2024, I literally stopped an arsonist from burning down your building. I told the employee about this before eating, and he just laughed at me. When the fire happened, I ran into this restaurant to alert staff, and they just stared at me and did nothing. I had to take action myself and got HFD to the scene. To be treated like this, after protecting your business and then eating food with a coin in it, is beyond disrespectful. You should be ashamed of how this was handled. I was sick for 3 days! If I didn’t take a bunch of probiotics, drink filtered water, and rest, it would have been longer. What a terrible experience! 😡

Google
It was great fresh lamb steak and nice lamb shank, fresh juices was really nice ,, prices are affordable , but I advice them to make the appetizers refillable or add option on the buffet to add any number of sides .. Experience was nice .. good Lebanese food .. great services .. all management were very nice S first time to try it .. my followers let me know your opinion 😊

Google
Cafe style Mediterranean food. Everything tasted fresh. I don't know what the green lemon sauce is called but it goes well with everything.

Yelp
Legit, a little spendy, but worth it! So I was (as usual) being super indecisive... do I want pizza? Nah... Vietnamese?... nah... tacos? Nah... Mediterranean? Ok! So I came in and it wasn't super busy. Kind of a strange set up. It's basically a cafeteria style ordering process. You grab a tray and walk down the line telling them what you want. The young girl who helped me out basically decided what I was going to order because I couldn't decide lol... She was awesome and so were her choices. I ended up getting steak and chicken kabobs along with yellow rice, hummus, pasta salad and a baked potato. The potato was crusted and unlike a potato I've ever had. My order came with some really good bread also which was a nice surprise. Overall the place has some great decorations and is super clean. Workers were all really cool. Loved everything about this experience.

Yelp
Great ! Fresh & Tasty Is an understatement Food was amazing ! The juiciest Steak and Chicken Kabobs ! Bread fresh made daily ! Service out of this world ! i felt home ! I always complain how informal restaurants don't keep up with traffic and are not clean ! this please was 10/10 even the restrooms ! Truly a gem 60 usd 3 people and we were stuffed ! Will do the 40min Drive ( Im located in Kingwood ! but i will drive for this food ! )

Yelp
Cafeteria style with a set menu of options .there are vegan options and a wide range of Mediterranean options. The food is consistently good.. located in a strip entree there is ample parking. The restaurant is large. Avoiding as crowded feel. The service is self. Carry a tray seat yourself. Reason ably priced.

Yelp
Always a fan of Mediterranean food! I love the variety here and it almost reminded me of Fadi's, only just a smaller version of it. The fresh pita was so soft and fluffy! They had so many veggie options, I really didn't know what to pick. I ended up getting the snapper, one of their salads, and some hummus. They did forget to give me my snapper for some odd reason. And while I thought it was supposed to come out at the table, I realized they were supposed to hand it to me... oops! Regardless, I did enjoyed dining here. I definitely would come back to try other protein options! Everything looked so good!

Yelp
I was in the area and wanted to get healthy food. I chose the four veggie plate. It's $14.99. I think the competitor's is lower at $13. I don't know if you can get half portions of the veggies so you can try more items. You get two pieces of fresh-baked pita bread. The tabbouli and rice were good. I actually like to mix them. The hummus lacked something, perhaps lemon? Hummus is easy to make. It only has garbanzo beans, tahini, garlic and lemon. I can't quite pinpoint what this hummus lacked. I got tahini sauce for the cauliflower. It's a good complement. I noticed they have other versions of hummus. Fresh juices are available close to the cash register. I find that $14.99 for a veggie plate is a bit much.

Yelp
Family in town for Christmas weekend and it's one of those nights where we don't feel like cooking anything. My sister and her husband were in the mood for Indian food. While this isn't indian, I mentioned it was close by and had mediterranean eats that appealed to us (kabobs, hummus, etc.). After looking at the menu, they were sold. So we put in an order of the following before I headed out to pick up: -Spicy Chipotle Chicken Kabob w/ Spicy Hummus & Roasted Cauliflower -Ground Beef Kafta Kabob w/ Chargrilled Veggies & Baked Mashed Potato Ball -Fish Platter w/ Tzatziki Dip, Chargrilled Veggies & Orzo Salad For the items ordered, everything and I mean EVERYTHING was delicious! Both kabobs were tender and flavorful; we also loved the chargrilled veggies as they had that char and smokiness which I enjoy. The orzo salad and roasted cauliflower were tasty. I enjoyed the fish and found it tender and succulent mixed in the tomato veggie broth. And the tzatziki dip, OMG, one of the best sauces you'll eat. We dipped our veggies and complimentary pita in it like no tomorrow. Tzatziki dip is one of the most underrated sauces/dips ever. Every restaurant should serve it; you could put it on a shoe and I'd still eat it! We also got some chocolate baklava and walnut baklava, both excellent desserts for a fitting meal. Side Note: As I arrived at the restaurant, I got a call that they had sold the last of the fish and it would take another 15 minutes to prep another one. I decided to wait while they cooked up another fish for me. I did get a bit agitated since I was on a time constraint due to my sister's kids so I'm trying to be patient. They call me back and tell me everything is ready but to wait outside. One of the employees comes out and brings me the food all packaged nicely and gave us some complimentary desserts for our troubles. As someone who worked in the restaurant industry, I can't tell you how much I appreciated the gesture and their attempts to make things right which they did. No doubt they've won me over and this won't be my last visit here!

Yelp
My mother and I tried it for the first time seeing all the good reviews. By far the most tasteless Mediterranean food we could recall. The bread and hummus were fine. The curry chicken was dry with little flavor. The domades, rice, orzo and even lemon potatoes were underwhelming. We're so puzzled by these reviews. It was like nothing was seasoned. Oh well. Won't be coming back. And for what we paid, it certainly feels overpriced.

Yelp
Good food, good service. Nice clean dining area, if a bit loud because of the concrete floors.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is served cafeteria style with plenty of great choices. We each looked at our servings and realized immediately that we would have plenty for the next day at home. Good value.

Yelp
Best of best restaurant ever it's like home cooked food Never fails to impress me all the time it's just amazing hum

Yelp
I love this places . The food was delicious. The restaurant was clean and homey. I definitely recommend everything on the menu, it's a hidden gem!!!!! Don't sleep on it!!! And the prices are pretty affordable and VERYYYY big portions! Will definitely come back !!!
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
Lamb kabab is so freaking goood omg! Perfectly seasoned! Tender! Nice char! The sides here are hella good too! Beet salad was refreshing! Cauliflower was so addicting! Lastly, can't go wrong with spicy hummus.
google avatar

Marilyn V.

Yelp
Really good food and fast service. Only wish there were more options for sides. Bread was so soft and yummy!
google avatar

Oliver C.

Yelp
Aladdin gives me Mediterranean "Piccadilly's" vibes! The menu layout is set up for you to pick you meal and then follow the line and select your food choices. There are several tasty options to choice and they also make fresh pita and fresh fruit juices (I love the house blend)! I always get the pasta salad, cucumber salad and switch up meats sometimes. I love the baklava as well. I've hand the lamb and it was ok, which sucks because I love lamb. I've tried the red fish and it wasn't tasty to me at all. Overall it is very clean and efficient in service. Good spot for lunch or late dinner. Check it out for yourself when you're in the area.

Mike C.

Yelp
Have tried this several times, always delivery, and enjoyed it every time. There are a number of Mediterranean places in Houston that do a great job and this is one of them.
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
This is such a delicious food, it's like home made. I would definitely recommend and would go back. I wish they had a location in the woodlands as we need Mediterranean food in this area.
google avatar

Stephanie V.

Yelp
The cauliflower here is amazing! So good! Portions are great, everyone here is very friendly, everything I've tried is delicious.
google avatar

Beth B.

Yelp
Love this place. So happy to have some food from other countries in our neighborhood ( besides, of course, Mexican). Been eating here ever since they opened. Portions are large. In particular, we really like the saffron chicken kebab and the eggplant, pomegranate dip is absolutely amazing! Their pita bread is delicious too. Samosas are very good but tiny and expensive.
google avatar

Holli J.

Yelp
Food is excellent! However, service is very mediocre. I came to pick up a to go order and the lady at the front was faithfully on her phone looked up at me continued to text. I waited for about five minutes until she put her phone down and said, can I help you. As the person in the front of a business you should prioritize customers over your phone...
google avatar

Yelp
We came back again. It was just as good. I need to come back here more often. Delicious food, reasonable pricing, good service.
google avatar

Kacy M.

Yelp
I love Aladdin and this was my first time at this particular location. The food was just as good as the other spot and the parking here I gotta say is the best part. I got my usual hummus and beef but was struggling on my other two sides. The lady behind the counter was waiting for me to decide between cauliflower, rice, and pasta salad and ended up giving me all three options for no extra charge. I was so thankful and happy that she did that. My only complaint that I had here was cleanup was a little slow. We needed a bigger table to sit our bigger party and the one long table in the back was empty but was full of dirty dishes. We ended up putting two tables together to accommodate our group.
google avatar

Annie G.

Yelp
Got some veggie sides. I believe they don't have wheat bread. Their white bread is good but very small if you compare it to Fadi's etc so that was a bummer. Food's taste was a lack luster. Saffron rice was just missing something. Their fried cauliflower was good though. They also don't carry any Falafel or veggie wraps which was also disappointing to hear. Probably our first and last time here.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Not into spending so much for fatty meat .. I won't be back. Great food in the past. Also service was subpar.
google avatar

Roma B.

Yelp
Great spot. Similar to Fadi's in sense that it's a pick and choose buffet, but quality is better. Got the vegetarian plate, which includes 4 veggie sides, you can split each Salad and Dips sides in 1/2, which allows you to try more veggie sides. The Rice & Hot Veggies sides can't be split in 1/2, only get 1 full portion of it. Loved the caramelized onion hummus and Pomegranate Eggplant. Each platter comes with 2 fresh pita breads too! Great spot to stop by for a healthy meal. Plenty of parking in the front.

Yelp
Honestly the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. It's sooooo fresh and always satisfies every time I visit. Their pita is made fresh for you when you walk in. I always get the streak kabob, saffron rice & their tabbouleh. It's amazing. The saffron rice is seasoned to perfection w/ a hint of sweetness. The pita has a hint of sweetness. Great flavor. The tabbouleh is the best I've ever had. It had the perfect amount of seasoning and tartness where it isn't too sour. It's perfect. Other places has theirs bland and tooooo sour. I've tried their hummus and spicy hummus and it's amazing as well. This place also has THE BEST tzatziki sauce ever. It's very good an subtle and compliment everything. Balances out the tartness and is amazing with the steak. The steak kabobs are seasoned well. I've tried many Mediterranean places and this one has been the best and only place I'll eat. Only downfall for myself is that I wish it was closer to me. I live in Tomball and always drive here for this. AND ITS HEALTHY!! It's better to dine in than order takeout in my opinion. Still good nonetheless.
google avatar

Julia M.

Yelp
The best Lamb Shank and freshly baked bread. I also recommended the fish and beat salad.
google avatar

Christie N.

Yelp
The establishment is very clean and all tables are spaced apart. The workers and service are great and friendly. The food is great. The only downside is if you want the skewered meat its a long wait time for it to cook. They do have a posted time to let you know itll take a while so I knew what I was expecting. They do have other ready to serve meat option but it didn't look that appealing to me. They are very generous of the portion which is awesome.. after checking out I sat down and started to eat my side dishes. I like veggies so i didn't mind eating it first. However halfway through finishing through half my plate the meat finally came out to my table. By this time I was almost full and since the meet was fresh i had a couple of bites and took the rest to go. My favorite was the roasted cauliflower. The quality of food is great and I will be returning. Let me tell you a good advice I got from reading other yelp review and I was excited I could exercise that options. If you like to try a variety of things, you can split your side portion. I.e. you order 1 meat 3 sides. 1 of the sides can be split into 2 smaller portion and the others are 2 full side portion. So you have meat + 2 half size side portion + 2 full side portion. So in theory you can have up to 6 half size sides.
google avatar

Jennifer V.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come to their Montrose location for so long, but I finally got the chance to try them here. I got their 1 meat +3 sides and it came out to be $16.23 after tax. Upon the recommendation, I got the mushroom salad (it's cold!), bread and hummus, roasted cauliflower, and chicken kebab. The mushroom salad is cold and I felt it would have been better warm. The roasted cauliflower was too bland. Hummus was good but tasted similar to what you can find at the grocery store. The chicken kebab was really good though! Portions match the price you pay. Overall, not terrible but I'm not likely to return.

Richard I.

Yelp
When we walked in the person at the oven handed us each a plate of bread. The bread was incredible. It was a tiny bit sweet, but it was fluffy and soft. I ordered some hummus and dipped the bread in the hummus. That was incredible. Definitely order the bread and hummus.
google avatar

Betsy E.

Yelp
I love this place and eat here about once a week. Picked it up for lunch today. What I appreciate most is the consistency. Everything, every time, is up to par, just delicious and fresh. I don't usually like lamb gyro too many for me, ha, but I order it regularly here! I love the falafels. The cauliflower is always a must. I love that with the cold side you can split them and do half-and-half. I really like the Lebanese salad and absolutely love their tabouli and babganoush. In my opinion, it's some of the best around. Oh and the house made juice is always delightful! The staff is great. Love having this spot so close to the house.
google avatar

Tim C.

Yelp
We've heard a lot of good things about their other location and saw this place and whipped in. We decided to get our own plates. WE should have shared a plate. My wife got the kafta kabob and roasted cauliflower and some type of salad, she splurged and got a side of samosas....these were different, tasted like they were wrapped in wonton wrappers. I went with the steak kabob and cucumber salad, grilled onion hummus and tabouleh. We shared everything and compared notes, we loved everything except the samosas. The rose water tea was too different so I went back to the regular unsweetened tea.
google avatar

Bridget R.

Yelp
Great spot! I think I will be becoming a regular here. So many options and every thing I tried was amazing! At first I thought it was a little pricey for a cafeteria style plate and drink at ~$20, but they give you so much! Going to be another meal for me. Easy parking and staff is very nice. The cabbage salad is amazing and the mushrooms! Loved everything I tried, but really happy with those!!

Nicole S.

Yelp
Always great food and service! We love this place and keep coming back. My personal favorites are the lamb, the roasted potatoes, the Greek salad, and the fried okra.
google avatar

Sonie P.

Yelp
Best fresh pita ever!! I love their lamb platter. The meat is always well seasoned and tastes great as leftovers also. Their baba ghanoush is delicious. I've only ordered pick up from here, but I haven't been disappointed yet!
google avatar

Clay C.

Yelp
The quality of food is good and the ingredients are fresh. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. 6oz of protein and then 3 sides of smallish portions of veggies is quite pricey. The complementary pita is great though
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
This place was great, 90% of the food was fresh tasty and amazing. Although it's served buffet style, meat and three sides the items were fresh to the day and exceptionally well seasoned. The items that were poorly seasoned include the dolmas, roasted cauliflower, and breads. Now that we have the single negative out of the way.... The lamb meatballs are spicy deliciousness! There was no gaminess, just shear tastebud joy. The roasted chicken was moist, and had a superb tasty coating. They had a cabbage salad that was the best I have ever had!!! The seasoning was spot on, and cured wondrously. The tabouli was fresh aromatic and delicious. The babaghanouj was silky, garlicky and tasted delicious. The fried okra was fresh not slimy and well seasoned. One last not... they have a tremendous fresh juices selection a must have. I will definitely be back!!
google avatar

Willy N.

Yelp
I love cafeteria style restaurants like Aladdin. You get to make a plate that perfectly fits your palate. All the food here is really fresh and perfectly made. My personal favorites are the lamb shank and the caramelized onion hummus. You have to pay an upcharge for the lamb shank entree, but it is definitely worth it. You get plenty of tender meat, bathed in the most delicious sauce. It's divine perfection! The onion hummus pairs perfectly with their tender bread. I can't get enough of it. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Aladdin! The workers are very friendly and welcoming. They treat you like family. The food is really good too. I can't wait to be back!
google avatar

Sandra K.

Yelp
Been here in person but ordered Uber eats for work this time and I was so happy with the amount and taste of the food. All of it was fabulous. It was fresh and there was a large amount enough to continue eating throughout the day for my twelve hour shift. They gave me four pieces of bread which was also a lot but they have the best pita and so I will usually try to pick Aladdin over Fadi's just for the bread.
google avatar

Linda E.

Yelp
Loved everything about this new location. If you have been to the original location in Montrose, you will definitely enjoy this location. They had lots of selections to choose from. Among our selections were: lamb shank, beef kofta, and various salads. All were equally tasty and fresh. Since this is cafeteria style food, you can certainly choose and pick as you wish!

Mike T.

Yelp
I came in here for lunch while doing errands. I ordered the 1 meat and 3 sides and picked the spicy chicken kabob as the meat. While waiting for the kabob to be done, I devoured the sides. I was hungry‍. But after awhile I didn't see the chicken coming to I went to check. I think they didn't know who it belong to so it was sitting on the side. So the owner rushed to heat it up, prepared the fresh sides that accompanied the chicken. He went out to apologize and even gave me the cash refund. I refused, even though he was very adamant. He owned up to it, and tried to make things right. To me that's all it takes. That's being a great owner and operator. The food is great and everything is fresh. And the owner is awesome. I'm going to be back again just because of the great food and the great owner.
google avatar

Marisela S.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch today, got in line and was attended pretty quickly. Staff was friendly and helpful, which was great because it was our first time there so we weren't sure what to get. Beef kabobs were made fresh and it wasn't a long wait at all, definitely recommend!
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
Aladdin's in awesome for solo and groups. I used to go to Montrose, but this location has ample parking. My fav is the meat and 3 sides: 13.99 Today I tried the shawerma meat and it is juicy and tender. They have great dips! My fav is the baba ghanooge which is a tangy eggplant dip. They have many type of humus. I usually get half orders on the dips so I can try more. The kabobs are seared perfectly and take 10-15 minutes. All are delicious, but the chicken and spicy chicken are aromatic and succulent. My fav veggie side is the fried cauliflower, I get full order here. So crispy and light. They have many juices that are refreshing like strawberry or mango. Staff is helpful and polite. Very clean restrooms. They reheat the pita so nice warm and soft. My favorite place for casual Mediterranean. Highly recommended!

Yelp
My friend invited me out for a bday lunch, and I picked here! It was close to her work and my work, and I've been a long fan of the Montrose location. I had no idea there was a second one. And it's not lesser to it's original, like many second places can be. It is just as delicious across the board. Food and Drink: My faves are the beef kofta, their potatoes, fried okra, and cauliflower. I love their mint tea too, but it's a bit way too sweet for me (at both locations), and diluting w the non-sweet tea also dilutes the wondrous minty flavor as well as whatever the pretty is in it too. There seems to be something pretty in there. Rosewater? A certain sweetener? Pretty is the right word for this flavor. So know, these are all the same wonderful qualities at this location. The round bread is good too. Tip: Your vegetarian friends won't feel treated like an afterthought here. This is a great place for them. All my vegetarian friends rave about Aladdin when I've picked this place for dinner. It's so satisfyingly friendly for both carnivores and vegetarians. Service: Still same good service. Unfortunately, I arrived in gym clothes, bc I had just done a last minute subbing of a pilates class. My plans to change clothes before the lunch were curtailed. So, I was quite uncomfortable arriving in what might be immodest attire in Muslim culture. However, the staff seemed okay; No sign of being affronted. Ambiance: It is the opposite of the Westheimer location. It is bright from the floor-to-ceiling windows. Sitting at the windows is actually too bright to me. So, my friend and I sat closer in. Also, it is airy and feels contemporary. Parking is okay. Gets crowded fast for lunch. Crowd varies from casual to office. This is now going to be my regular spot for all things Aladdin bc it's right beside my Tuesday work! Love it! Feeling so lucky for it :D Going to surprise my friend who use to live in Israel. She loves this kind of food too.

Yelp
Food is always very fresh....mini naan is straight out of the oven...service is always very friendly

Yelp
This is an excellent addition to the area! I've always been a fan of the original location so I was super excited to find out that Aladdin was opening up in this area. The restaurant is large with plenty of seating and bright due to the large windows. As soon as you walk in the doors, the order counter is right in front of you. Same concept as the original location: pick up a tray and choose the meal that you want. I always go with the one meat and three sides option. Only downside of this restaurant was, when I arrived here with some coworkers, there was only one person working behind the counter. So we had to wait a little bit, which I usually wouldn't mind. However, even though he saw us came in, he didn't say anything to us. No "I'll be right with you guys", or any kind of greeting. He just looked at us and went about his way. While we waited, another person finally came. She didn't greet us either. She just started giving us the bread on the plate without saying a word. I guess hospitality is not a thing at this restaurant? Now as for the food. DELICIOUS! I had the hummus, the spicy corn, and rice along with the ground beef skewer. I had to wait a bit for the beef to be prepared, but they do have signs that warn customers that skewers will take around 15 minutes to prepare. Along with my meal, I also got the mango drink. Highly recommended! Will definitely be back. Hopefully, they'll be more hospitable when I do, though.

Yelp
Located on the end cap of the shopping complex, the place is easy to find. Open dining room... I like that they have table you can put together to accommodate large parties. There are so many combinations of food to try. I walk the line and take a look at all the selections before I choose. I decided on the 1 entree and 3 sides. Beef Kafka (juicy and full of flavor), caramelized onion hummus (good flavor... I wish it was topped with some caramelized onion), fried okra (so crispy... I love it when fried food is crispy) and cauliflower (yum!) .... and it comes with 2 pita... yay! Fountain drinks and tea are self-serve. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Selected this location for my end-of-residency luncheon, and I was not disappointed! The staff helped arrange the table for my group based on our request prior to the event. The ordering went smoothly, and service was great throughout. Overall, they have several options for combo meal that you could select from. I chose the 3 sides plus 1 protein, and the price was VERY reasonable for the area! I absolutely loved the spicy hummus, it was sooo good. The beets salad was also very tasty as well, and kudos to the server who gave me so much of it! The artichoke & mushroom salad was okay--I wish it has more flavor, but maybe I'm used to eating more seasoned food. The beef kabob was definitely tasty as well! Definitely loved Aladdin since then, and will be a loyal customer from now on!

Yelp
Welcome to the neighborhood! I have been anxiously awaiting for restaurants to open up in the new strip center. It is sad as they replaced our dry cleaner, but glad to have a local restaurant open their 2nd location here in Oak Forest. The build out looks beautiful. My only concern is that this parking lot will be way too full once the other places open up. As far as the food goes they are running specials right now so I had the 1 meat with 3 sides and my colleague had the lamb shank with 3 sides. It comes with 2 pieces of bread, we both opted for a hummus as one of our sides each, they have a wide variety of different flavors of hummus. They have the cold sides first and then the hot sides. We were able to only get cold when the guy behind the glass told us to check out some of the hot options too. My meat, I got the steak kebabs, they were cooked perfectly. The lamb shank was fall off the bone tender. Everything from start to finish was perfect, can't wait to come back!

Yelp
We had Aladdin cater our rehearsal dinner last year, and still love going. This time I got the caramelized onion hummus (YUM), orzo salad, cauliflower (THE BEST) and the pomegranate eggplant which is literally my favorite food ever. Also grabbed curry chicken which was underwhelming- go for the kebabs or falafel for your meat. Pita is great and fresh - we love Aladdin!
