"Jumbo slices from $6.99 The slices at Aladdin’s Kitchen might win your affection—and a heavy dose of appreciation—by only having enough grease sloughing off to moisturize your face and not your entire body. There’s plenty of cheese, which we love, and we’d love it even more if they added more of their really tasty, slightly tart sauce." - tristiana hinton

"This Adams Morgan eatery serves pizza, wings, gyros, and kebabs that are all halal. Although great for late-night dining, Aladdin’s does not serve any alcohol. It does offer online ordering for delivery or carry out." - Lenore Adkins

Always great food made fast. NY Style Gyro platter is awesome, as is the Spicy Boneless Chicken Kabob platter. Both come with rice, small salad, plenty of meat, and a side of stewed chickpeas and pita. The Samosa platter is a great addition, two samosas smothered in onions, tomato, delicious house sauce, and chickpeas. Everything is cooked to perfection and they're always open late. Highly recommend and will have to try the pizza sometime. The staff are really friendly and fast even when dealing with nonstop take out orders.

Google
I believe the food was not very impressive. The owner should work on enhancing the flavor and quantity of the food. The quality was disappointing compared to other gyro places. Also, the restaurant had uncomfortable bar tables and stools, which put you in an awkward position while eating. The seating areas need significant improvement.

Was craving Mediterranean food and decided to order from here. The food was absolutely amazing! I got the 3 combo with chicken lamb & beef. I don’t usually like lamb but the lamb here was pretty good. The Greek salad was huge and delicious as well. Will definitely be my go to Mediterranean food place! 10/10.

Google
Very good food served here! I quite enjoy Mediterranean food, and this place definitely fixed my craving. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially for DC, and this place is open super late (4 am). I tried the gyro bowl with lettuce, red onions, white sauce, and rice. It was delicious! The gyro meat was perfectly cooked, and the pieces were all cut up and tender. The sauce was perfect,y creamy and complimented the meat well. They had a ton of rice in this portion, but it was pretty tasty rice, so I didn’t mind. The lettuce and vegetables were fresh. All in all, I would definitely recommend this spot. It’s also got pizzas and other Mediterranean options, so there’s pretty much something for everyone. Try it out!

Google
Sad I have to give an unpleasant review for the first time . I’m an ever regular, and I absolutely love the spot, but it seems different with a quite rude, and unprofessional staff. I literally waited MORE than 30 min for a delivery over, only to have to call the restaurant for the same person (Jen) to Apologize and tell me they don’t do deliveries at the time. I literally ordered there and live 6 min away, and I really do not appreciate feeling othered by an establishment that I want to respect… so um, SERVICE is In need of professionalism (respect to the driver and waiters I know)— and I just wish this person and management did better with COMMUNICATION. Sorry to pull a Karen, but I have never been dissatisfied from this place till now.

Google
I ordered my food online, thinking it would make it faster and smoother for delivery, and it didn't make it worse. I waited almost and hrs for my food and when I got it, it wasn't what I requested my food to be I asked well done wings and they wasn't I asked for extra white sauce and I didn't get it either. I was so not happy with my food.

Google
Aladdin's offers delicious chicken and rice with salad bowls. I picked one up late at night but didn't eat it till the next day and it was still very tasty. The portions are very reasonable and the customer service was professional. I highly recommend grabbing a meal before you head in for the night so you don't have to hate your hangover in the morning.

Loyal To Me

Google
The food was decent before the pandemic, I haven't ordered since then and judging by what I got for what I paid, this place has gone downhill. A large Pizza, a chicken, beef, lamb combo with rice, and chocolate cake... $42 on UE The pizza is decent but the rest is pretty trash. I spent $23 on the combo of dried out meats over a couple spoonfuls of rice, a small side salad and chick peas. Definitely not worth that price. $5 for the chocolate cake that's not chocolate CAKE, but a chocolate mousse textured type dessert that tastes more like chocolate icing. Smh, do not recommend. Yelp
If you're looking for good old-fashioned, greasy, New York-style pizza, Aladdin's Kitchen is the spot--especially for those late-night cravings! My kids absolutely love this place, and I have to admit, I do too. But Aladdin's isn't just about pizza. They have a huge menu packed with all kinds of delicious, flavorful food, so there's something for everyone. Whether you're in the mood for a classic slice, a hearty meal, or something different, they've got you covered. If you haven't tried them yet, it's a must at least once--though I bet you'll be back for more! Rating: 5/5

Yelp
I stopped by Aladdin's Kitchen recently, and overall, it's exactly what you'd expect from a no-frills, late-night, grab-and-go spot -- but with a few pleasant surprises. The meat was actually more tender than I thought it would be, and it was seasoned better than it looked. The sauce was solid too, tying everything together well. The vibe here is definitely more "very casual Sunday or late-night food run" than a sit-down experience, which totally tracks with what others have said. It's not fancy, and you're not here for ambiance -- you're here for a quick halal fix. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and while some reviewers mentioned wait times, I didn't have much of an issue. If you're craving a solid gyro, chicken and rice, or falafel after a night out (or a lazy weekend afternoon), this is your spot. Just set your expectations right -- it's not gourmet, but it does the job well.

Jacob M.

Yelp
This is a great hole in the wall spot to go to for to-go orders! There isn't much seating but the food and service is great! The staff helped me pick what to get and everything surpassed my expectations!

Yelp
This place has really blessed me and fed me with good Mediterranean food. And I wish this was not the category that it's placed in because it has such a unique and authentic take to it that newer, gentrified, Mediterranean restaurants are trying to replicate but can't. Here, the flavors are bold, they're not afraid of fat, and your plate comes heafty, and you can order pretty late. I love the addition of of a chickpea curry as a standard side, I wish more places adopted this because it adds to the flavors going on in your plate. Its comforting, its warm, its cooked down like a daal but it operates like a condiment to wet the rice or flatbread. Rice is a perfect foundation to hold all the toppings, its warm, tumeric yellow, has cumin, and slightly salted so it stands as its own component. The chicken is beautifully charred, comes in big chunks, and well seasoned both in the spice blend they're choosing but also on the exterior, its well coated. Side vegetables give a nice crunch and brightness, love taking a raw onion bite in between. And both of the sauces are good, one for spicy and own for cooling, so well balanced. This was my first order, but I know I will come here for more.

Yelp
I've never had a bad or even a "meh" dish from here!! Always a pure YUMMMMM factor! The chicken, the lamb, the salmon...ALL equally delicious! Also, they are 100% Halal!!

Jennifer H.

Yelp
My boyfriend, friend, and I were looking for a late night spot. This place was surprisingly good! They had a buy 1 get one free offer on UberEats for $14.99 on the combo gyro. Let me tell you; it was delicious! The gyro was well seasoned and hearty. We also got fries. To be honest, they were only ok but still hit the spot. I tend to prefer more crispy fries, and these were more limp.

Dana H.

Yelp
Everything is good and fairly priced. I order from them often. My only complaint is that the cheesecake gets smaller with every order. I'd rather pay more than receive a smaller piece of cheesecake.

Gregory B.

Yelp
Very tasty food. Love its gyros. It's a good late night spots for eats. I love its cheese pizza as well

Amada H.

Yelp
I ordered the salmon kabob plate and some fries for delivery. The food was pretty good, the sauces were really flavorful and the salmon was prefect. The rice however was not that flavorful and my fries had no seasoning. Loved the garbanzo beans and pita bread, it was soft and still warm from the delivery. Overall, I'd come back here or order delivery again.

Jordan N.

Yelp
This is really the place to get jumbo pizza slices in this part of DC (Adam's Morgan / West U St / North DuPont's 18th street corridor). I get some people love the gyros here. At 1:30 am they're busy putting them out, and surprisingly even more so than the jumbo slices. From what I've seen at the 1:30 am Saturday rush (really!) the gyro is made with diced-up meat and kept in a warmed pan, the gyro wrap is the prepackaged store variety, and toppings did not go much beyond simply a sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. There were no spit to shave the gyros from. It may make great late nights junk food for a drunkard, but I highly would recommend people to steer themselves towards the jumbo pizza slices. The slices are freshly baked to order, or should I say half-baked, which is still delicious and makes it easily foldable. It is unlike any New York slices because it is a floppy rather than a crispy slice, but I'm not complaining (I'm also in the camp that loves half-baked cookies so you can maybe understand some of that appeal). The char on the bottom is decent and noticeable, and the gooey cheese melted with enough blister - and yes, you'll need the napkin for dabbing the grease off of the surplus that comes from so much cheese (and from the perfectly curled-up pepperoni if you get that). Made well, it's worth the eat. The value is reasonable - $5.99 for a jumbo cheese slice, $6.99 for a pepperoni jumbo slice. You can also customize them any way you like for an additional charge. For those not wanting pizza, maybe try the kabobs. I didn't see anyone order them this late at night but based on the reviews, it's something I would consider for the next time. And they're not something that seems to have been pre-made and kept warm ahead of time like the diced gyro meat. I can see myself coming back whenever I want that quintessential late night pizza slice.

Yelp
Quick service, variety of foods on the menu. Can order with counter or on computer screen. Grabbed a lamb/beef gyro to go. The pita was fresh, the sauce was good, only downfall was the meat was cut a bit too small for my personal liking. Very friendly employees, I requested extra sauce and hot sauce and they were happy to help.

Corin V.

Yelp
This review is for DC Jumbo slices: Upon ordering I was very specific of the condiments I needed: ranch and Parmesan. I didn't receive either one. If condiments were not available, a phone call or message would have been nice to let me know. I give 5 stars for the delivery drive and 3 to the restaurant because of no condiments.

Michelle A.

Yelp
Food was excellent large portions and they were very fast! Food tasted just like you were in the Middle East.

martin f.

Yelp
Absolutely sad... Couldn't even toss the wings in the sauce fully... the gyro tasted decent but it also came with the longest pieces of raw onions I've ever seen which wasn't good. Will not order again

Thomas J S.

Yelp
I come here tonight around 1am and I order the gyro with rice and salad bowl with the lamb and my food came out room temperature the rice was hard and the meat was cold. Dissatisfied! Customer service sucked.

Jacquelyn C.

Yelp
I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of my food, but I got the Lamb & Beef Gyro Plate. It was absolutely delicious. I loved the flavors and the white sauce on top. The prices are great and the food is great. Would return!

Christine K.

Yelp
Great pizza and kind staff. I popped in after walking around in admo and the food was fantastic. Hit the spot

Nikki M.

Yelp
It was a late Night carry out. Place was clean. Everyone very nice. Pizza not cheesy enough. Kind of like New York thin crust pizza. But. It was great. Next time will just ask for extra cheese. Kabob salad great. Chicken a little dry. But with dressing and vegetables. It was a great late night meal. Wick preparation. And easy take out process

Sidéwon Andre N.

Yelp
So I have to keep this short. It was 3 AM and this was one of the FEW places open on Uber Eats. I highly recommend!!! If you order the DC Slice, it's MASSIVE!!!! HUGE!!!! It's a meal on it's own. I also ordered the Gyro and was so mad I didn't eat that 1st. My hotel didn't have a microwave so I had to eat it cold the next day. I could tell if it was hot it was going to be delicious!!! I ordered a can soda to go, and didn't see where I could choose on the App. Being from Atlanta I was annoyed when I saw Pepsi, but it wasn't the end of the world! :)

Zoher A.

Yelp
Awesome chicken tikka. Quick service and reasonable prices. Nice hole in the wall take out place near Washington Hilton

Gaurish T.

Yelp
Very good food. I was craving kabobs and this place definitely hit the spot. The meat options tasted great and were well cooked, and everything was served with rice and chickpeas. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving kabobs and just Mediterranean food in general.

Paul W.

Yelp
Whoever the delivery driver was put my food on the front steps of my apt building that is very unsanitary GrubHub if I would not have went outside my food could have been taken or ate by animal's,bugs .. Thank you and GOD bless you Aladdin Kitchen the food was good..

Alex C.

Yelp
I doordashed this restaurant at 1:30AM and the food was BOMB DIGGITY. Read on... Interior: Well, considering it was DoorDash, I have no clue what the interior was like. Food: we ordered the NY gyro with rice and salad. I got the chicken, beef and lamb, and my wife got the chicken. The FLAVORS were ON POINT. They covered the rice platter with their version of crack sauce (it was comparable, but the NYC Halal Guys had more crack IMO). I would have liked for them to provide the sauce on the side so i can add more/less. My food was slightly undersalted - but that's okay cuz it came with a salt packet. The chicken was MUCH better than Halal Guys. It was juicy and had good flavor. The gyro was good - comparable to Halal Guys (If you haven't noticed, I kinda rave about the meat truck in NYC, the stores suck). The rice was fresh and good, it was not as greasy as NYC. The salad was fresh, had two slices of tomato, onions, lettuce. The only thing that was missing HOT SAUCE! It would be nice if they offered some on the side. Overall, it's a 5/5. I just wish it comes with some hot sauce.

Tuyen B.

Yelp
We were looking for a Mediterranean place in D.C. that did not require reservations or long wait. This place did not disappoint. The chicken was very juicy. It's like a hole in the wall.

Tyler C.

Yelp
I support late night food places. Evening shift people need places to eat out too. Aladdin's is late night, but. Not the latest. And always has a lost Adams Morgan crowd. With jumbo slice all around, Aladdin's offers their own take on the jumbo (smaller and less seasoned) and creative pizzas available only as full pies. I haven't tried them yet. Fries are good here. Felafel is bland and without tehina and is served on a pita, not in it. Would tell people to count their change here.

Tommy T.

Yelp
I was here in a trip and was super hungry at 12am! Luckily this spot was a 5 min walk from my hotel! THIS IS THE BEST GYRO PLATE I HAVE EVER HAD! I am from the Bay Area and it's better than every place I had tried! I don't know why but it was just so good and so different!! THIS PLACE IS A MUST GO! CERTIFIED BUSSIN!!!

Krista R.

Yelp
The kids were tired and didn't want to go out so my dear friend uber eats delivered Aladdin. The pizza looked so good and it was. Got a cheese pizza and a meat lovers.. I think. Best pizza I've had in a while. They had a bogo special on the gyros so I ordered those. Those were pretty good too but I'm no expert on gyros. I liked them. The pizza and gyros were great delivered. I know they would be even better eaten there. I'd come again whenever I'm in DC in the future and will try the kebabs!!!

Ankush K.

Yelp
Trying to decent food late at night after clubbing/shenanigans is pretty hard. So I was very thankful when I stumbled upon this pizza Joint. Honestly didn't have many expectations because it's 1 am in the morning we were all just hungry and tired so we thought this would be some basic frozen pizza. However, to our surprise, we received a delicious pie filled with moist chicken and oozy cheese. Now, because it was so late in the night, I am biased, but it was a solidddddd tasting item. Sadly though if you judge it based on the store looks it is pretty bad haha. It looks pretty fun down and something I would avoid at all cost but don't always judge a book by the cover. I would for sure get it again if I am out late and look for something to eat in DC. Highly recommend it if you are out late and even if you are not because the price is not terrible it is worth a try if you are looking for a quick bite and just want some decent pizza.

Jill H.

Yelp
It's not everyday that you have a truly historic food eating experience. Aladdin's Kitchen graced us with just such a moment by bestowing unto us the single worst mozzarella sticks we have ever had in our collective life. From now until the end of eternity, no matter what hardship I face in life, at least I can say "it could be worse. It could be Aladdin's Kitchen mozzarella sticks."

Joe G.

Yelp
Fast service. Food was subpar and way overpriced. I was charged $16 for a chicken gyro with extra meat that looked like a small sandwich for a child. Tasted fine. Would not return

Arun S.

Yelp
Good Mediterranean food. But , place was not very clean. We went there to see if we can dine in, but chose to take to go due to the cleanliness inside. They are open late in the night. An option after going around sightseeing late in the night to get some yummy food back to hotel.

Abhi U.

Yelp
Have heard rave reviews of Aladdin's pizza for a while. I'm sorry to say, I was rather skeptical. I have had their jumbo slice before and while it was good, I felt that Duccini's was better. I have recently been ENLIGHTENED to the error of my ways. I was craving pizza one day, called ahead for pick-up, and was told to show up in 15 minutes. I got a medium size make-your-own pizza with mushroom and tomato as toppings. I get my pizza and open the box to make sure my order is correct, and I swear I heard some angels singing. I struggled not to have a slice before getting home. In my excitement to get home and eat, I didn't notice that it came with complimentary GARLIC SAUCE. I have never been more stoked. Surprise garlic sauce is the best kind of garlic sauce. Anyway, had an AWESOME lunch and had enough for leftovers for a few more days.

Anita R.

Yelp
I ordered the lamb and chicken combo, boneless chicken kabob, and pizza. All were delicious. I ordered my food after midnight and it arrived fast and hot. There were no errors with my order. I was particularly impressed by the pizza and the rice. Perfect late night delivery option. I will definitely order again!

Sydney M.

Yelp
great customer service, the food comes out quick even when they're packed!!! & its always amazing, their salads are like 5 lbs & their jumbo slice pizza is mouth watering. definitely check it out if you're in the area!!!

Radu C.

Yelp
I ordered on their website, and after 2 hours, I call them and they said I ordered through Uber eats and I should call them! it said nothing about Uber eats when I made the order. I payed with my credit card. they offered no help. they kept telling me to call Uber. I'm not from the United States. I'm just visiting, and I mentioned that to them. still they couldn't care less. I just "donated" almost 50$ to this restaurant.

Shadi A.

Yelp
We had so much fun eating at Aladdin's Kitchen. On the outside, Aladdin's seems like the typical late night place to grab a slice or chicken over rice. It's a grab and go but there is one table for those who would like to dine in. While there is not much ambience, the food is amazing- so comforting without being extremely heavy. We ordered the chicken and beef combo bowl, chicken gyro bowl and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The gyro bowls look like your typical chicken over rice bowls that you get at a street cart but the flavor is there. I can't speak to the quality but it was delicious. And the prices are very reasonable. $12.99 for the bowl, fries and a drink (but I will say, they didn't mention you had to go pick out the soda yourself and I didn't end up getting my drink). We crushed the pizza- the crust was a perfect amount of doughiness while still having a nice crunch of a thin crust. And it's HUGE! Could probably feed three people- or two hungry people. And it was $5.99! Bottom line- no complaints here, come to Aladdin's if you're looking for something comforting, or sobering.

Brittanie H.

Yelp
After a late night, my best friend and I decided to order some food to avoid a morning hangover. I scrolled through Yelp to see what was open. There wasn't a ton open, so we decided this place was as good as any. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and mambo sauce wings. Within 30 minutes, our delivery person was giving us a call. I went downstairs and retrieved our order and came back. We immediately opened the pizza box and wings and dug in. The pizza was hot and fresh and hit the spot. It wasn't spectacular, but it was definitely solid for a late-night eat. The wings were well-cooked but we're convinced that they tried to pass off barbecue sauce as Mambo sauce, which was a bit underwhelming, but they were still pretty good. All in all, a solid delivery experience and a solid choice when you need something to prevent a hangover hell the next morning.

V V.

Yelp
Great gyro and huge pizza slice! Meat was cut in cubes and lettuce/tomatoes were fresh. Small counter restaurant that quickly processed my takeout order. Staff was polite upon pick up. Great alternative for a quick bite that was reasonably priced when staying at the nearby Washington Hilton as it was only a 5 min walk from the hotel!

Michael P.

Yelp
Overpriced food. Just because you are off U street don't mean everyone is a dumb freshman. Some of us adults own the houses. Your prices are outrageous for food. Doubt they would care about this review so take heed.

Henry D.

Yelp
Never fails I always forget to snap a picture. No frills very tasty hole in the wall kind of place. This is where the locals get food on the run. Prices are very reasonable considering we're in dc. Portions are just right. I had chicken and rice gyro plate, it comes with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion and an optional white sauce. The white sauce is tasty, it's like tzatziki to me.

Shobi M.

Yelp
A great pizza over all. And i have been to over 5 states and 200 pizza places. The alladdin pizza is a must

Douglas D.

Yelp
Do not recommend trusting this business with delivery. I ordered delivery($46.16) well over an hour before their advertised closing time and they never brought me my food, they ignored my calls and closed early. Still out nearly $50 and had to report the business to my banking provide to get the service refunded.

David H.

Yelp
4 stars. Good, quick, meal. Open late night. Delivery or carryout. Friendly people. The gyro was surprisingly good. Large chunks of meat that was perfectly tender. Just a little salty (meat), and missing feta (maybe you can add this). The pizza was good and hit the spot. We ordered a large supreme (pepperoni, ground beef, bacon, green pepper, onion, mushroom, black olives) and was very happy with it. Good chewy crust, good sauce, lots of toppings, and for around $18. Fries were pretty good too.

Jareth V.

Yelp
Love the food. Never order extra sauce they never add it and take sooo long. Other than that great!

Stacy A.

Yelp
I was so happily surprised with Aladdin's Kitchen! My husband and I ordered in, and tried this place because it popped up in our delivery area. My husband ordered a pizza and I went with a chicken gyro platter. Both were delicious!! The pizza is nice and thin, with a good sauce to cheese ratio. I also loved the garlic sauce that came with the pizza; similar to the sauce available at Papa John's but even better since the pizza itself was much better quality. This pizza was also well priced, we got the medium (12'') and I believe it was right under $12, can't beat that! The chicken gyro platter was great, I can't wait to get it again! The chicken kabob was nicely grilled and well seasoned. The rice had great flavor and the white sauce tied everything together. The platter also came with the fresh veggies and some chick peas that had a lot of flavor! Once again, great food and I definitely recommend for both pizza and Mediterranean-style food!

Danny R.

Yelp
poor service and food not fresh. try other med eateries! not recommended!! I tried the meat and salads. Very disappointed and I love Arab food

Nikki L.

Yelp
I recommend Aladdin's Kitchen for their quick, piping hot delivery if you live in the area. My go to orders are the white pizza and the chicken kabob platters (both spicy and regular). Their chicken kabobs are always juicy, and perfectly marinated and grilled. They come with fresh salad, delicious stewed chickpeas, fresh pita, and rice.

Manvi S.

Yelp
My go-to for gyro and rice, especially for late night dining! My favorites are the chicken and lamb gyro bowls
