This was our first time to Alamo Cinema and really enjoyed it. It was recommended to us by some friends. We loved the atmosphere and the personalized touches. We appreciated the emphasis on being quiet in the theater as well. Having dinner in this setting was a fun experience!

Google
This theater is the best. Comfy seats, good food and decent beer selection. Feels more upscale than just going to a regular theater. Plus, with the aisle in front of the seat you’ll never have to do that awkward shimmy in front of strangers if you need to leave during the movie. Huge plus!

I recently went to see "Alien Romulus" at the Lakeline Alamo with my three sons. It's ALWAYS a great time & a good dining experience! Clean, great theater design, and friendly staff! I'll be back!

We used to come here looking forward to the great pizza and selection of beers on tap. The food has gone downhill over the years. During our last visit: no draft beers available. Taps were broken. Pizzas: no longer better than frozen. I'm also not a fan of the mandatory 18% tip automatically added to your bill. And the they have the nerve to ask you to leave more $$ if you had a good time. And we go along with it, because we don't know any better. Hey Alamo! Your "service" does not deserve an 18% tip. This isn't a restaurant. They're delivering items we scribble on a piece of paper. IF your employees are not making a fair wage without getting that 18-22+% tip, then YOU'RE NOT PAYING THEM ENOUGH. Stop BS'ing your patrons. Paying your employees less, & then making theater-goers feel obligated to pay more than 18% in gratuities only benefits your company. No one else.

Don’t go to a movie in the small rooms. First the seats don’t recline. And all the seats are crappy except for the back row….the other seats are too close and you end up straining your neck looking up at the screen. Unfortunately I chose the 2nd to last row which isn’t raised. Also food prices are rediculous, an 18% tip is MANDATORY. And they have the nerve to say on screen that you can leave an extra tip. As if 18% isn’t enough.

So this is my first time going to the movies in the Lakeline mall. I didn't even realize there was a movies in the mall until I went because the mall is so big. I really liked the seats because you can recline in them which made the movie super comfortable and fun to watch because I have long legs and it helps to stretch out. I would say it was a pleasant experience and me and my friend had a great time. I think what is so cool about the movies being in the mall is that if you want to you can shop before you start watching the film so that's really cool. Would definitely recommend and go back. Also forgot to add the staff was really friendly and nice.

Enjoyed the ambiance of the Alamo Drafthouse. Full service with food and drinks. The bottomless popcorn is amazing with clarified butter and salt. Thank you Prince and other staff that made our evening seamless and enjoyable.

I was really looking forward to my visit to Alamo Draft Cinema, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The seating was a major letdown. The chairs were incredibly uncomfortable, making it hard to enjoy the movie. To make matters worse, the seat location was poorly arranged, with limited visibility and awkward angles that took away from the experience. It’s a shame because the concept of dining while watching a movie is great, but the uncomfortable seating and bad seat placement overshadowed everything else. I hope they address these issues soon because the current setup makes it difficult to fully enjoy the cinema experience.

Yelp
I love Alamo Drafthouse and was kinda surprised to see non reclining seats. Didn't know they had theaters without them. Not to mention this one had the tables really for two to share. No individual table per person. The service and quality of the movie and food options were just as expected. I ordered the Baked Pretzel and Cauliflower bites. The pretzel was nice and hot! Loved the freshness. Cauliflower bites were good too breaded well with nice flavor. Restrooms were clean and tidy. Parking also easy right in front of the building.

Yelp
This place is OK if you wanna pay $17 for a 10 inch personal pizza and $13 per cocktail. Aside from overpaying, overall it's really not that bad. Our waitress was very nice, and was fairly quick most of the time or at least in the beginning. Although our check did not seem to add up. Maybe it did add up and that's just how overpriced everything is. Crazy. Overall, it was a nice night out. I don't think I'll be eager to come back considering there was hair in my food. I know it wasn't ours, cause it was baked directly into the cookie. Something like that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, no pun intended. So Gross!

Karla D.

Yelp
This is a nice location with great service. Sometimes you gotta drive further out for a must-see film when the main location is sold out. Makes for a fun adventure. Service and food are what one expects from all locations which for me is no complaints at all.

Suki Z.

Yelp
Went to see Deadpool x Wolverine on a Tuesday night (discounted Tuesdays!!) and Lakeline was the only Alamo theater that had it playing at a time that worked for me so I decided to give it a shot. The seats are not the comfiest-- unlike the seats at the Mueller Alamo, you cannot recline in the seat and you share a table with the person next to you. The showing time I booked the ticket for was at 7:20PM and unfortunately it seemed like there was only one server available that night. I waited a long time before anyone came to check in on me. The people in front of me who came after me, got serviced before I did as well. The food was still as good as I remembered! I ordered the Carnivore Pizza and the Breakfast Club. I placed my order on the order card and requested for my Breakfast club to be cut in half and they fulfilled my request when they took out my order. They offered me a straw for my drink which was nice but I turned it down. The wait for the food wasn't too long.

Greg H.

Yelp
I went to see Deadpool and Wolverine and it was a ton of fun. I went to the early show as 9:30 am and it was still pretty packed in the back half. My server was fast and handled it all well. The pizza was good like usual and the visit was fine. I don't go as much as while they are still better then most about enforcing talking and coming in after the movie starts they have gotten lax on that last one and while I know it seems like I am petty they let you in 30 to 45 mins before the movie, there is no reason to come bareling in after it starts. It drives me NUTS. Plus it has gotten pricey to see a movie and eat/drink there. There is nothing overall wrong with it and it is still a fun place but it has lost a few steps with me over the years.

Kat G.

Yelp
My favorite theater, but they are an awful employer. The abrupt, sweeping, and obscured layoffs after the Sony acquisition is just the latest in a long series of disrespects they've paid to their staff, who, make no mistake, ARE the company. We come for the food and the service, not because your rebrand is so swanky. Do better Alamo. Boycott and support workers who are striking

Chriselda J.

Yelp
I love Alamo! Im a pass holder and i enjoy watching movies in comfort. The food is always great! My favorite at this time is the new greens pizza with roasted broccoli!!! and the fried pickles!! The service is always right on and not too much! It's a good balance of check in. The ambiance is always what a movie theatre should be. Quiet and enjoyable.

Robert P.

Yelp
Clean, upscale theater experience. I appreciate the pre-payment and included gratuity so I don't have to worry about the check at the end. Very friendly staff and always a fun experience.

Mike R.

Yelp
Long time Alamo customer, I'll definitely go again but FFS $6 for some tea.... Food has went downhill, my wings had minimal sauce. So if you skip on the food and drink, and just go to watch a movie maybe it's a 4/5 stars?

Theresa N.

Yelp
I like the smaller theaters, the movie started on time. Sound was good, movie experience was average. Can't recline in seats, can't put feet up but that's ok. I had the worse margarita I've ever had though. It tasted bitter, like old limes were used. No buzz whatsoever. I didn't even drink 1/4 of it. It was disgusting. Alamo doesn't offer senior pricing, either.

Kelly Dues T.

Yelp
We've been taking our kids to Moviehouse and Eatery for five years since they were two and five years old. This was the first time we have gone to Alamo Drafthouse because the showing for Moana 2 was at a more convenient time. My kids were bummed that the seats at the drafthouse didn't recline. But the bigger issue was that it was so dark and so loud they were stuggling to eat and kept flinching and covering their ears. They were so uncomfortable that one of my girls started crying. This has never happened in the 20 times we've been to Moviehouse. In addition, my husband was trying to help the kids share plates during dinner. He couldn't see the food so he turned his cell light on and a server snapped at him to use the lights under the table. But those lights are so dim and not helpful at all. Then another server wanted to take a baggie of ear plugs away from us because he thought it was food. I spent over $200 on tickets and food to be annoyed and frustrated. So we don't plan to return to the drafthouse ever again. We'll drive twice as far to the Moviehouse to be treated respectfully in a more confortable environment with better food.

Tonya Lynne C.

Yelp
The worst experience ever. Showed up at 9:15 for a 9:30pm showing of Kung Fu Panda. Waiter took my food order at 9:30pm. After not receiving anything by 10 pm and seeing people who were not even in the theatre when I ordered were now eating dessert, I flagged another staff (not my waiter) who said they would check on my order. Now it's 10:15pm 45 minutes AFTER I ordered and still no food. Nothing. I walk out to the front host stand and run into my waiter and ask about my food. He seems unbothered that I didn't receive my food. The manager heard me talking to them and asked me if I had been waiting on a drink or something. As if... I explained I had been waiting for 45 minutes for my food, she said what can we do. I asked them to cancel it all and her response was, that's easy, have a goodnight. Wow. Wow. Wow. Having frequented Alamo for over 15 years....i am disgusted.

Caitlyn W.

Yelp
This is my second visit to this location, and I doubt I will return. I attended a showing of Beetlejuice on Saturday night and was quite underwhelmed by the theater. The seats don't recline, and the lighting is poor if you're trying to order food; I had to use my phone's light to read the menu, only to be immediately told by a staff member to put it away. Additionally, the food was disappointing--I would have preferred just popcorn. Considering the prices, there are better theaters available.

Brent W.

Yelp
Quick update - with the move to the 18% mandatory gratuity, we are back down to appetizers and drinks at most. I have ZERO issue with paying for quality service, but the service (over the 3 movies we've seen since this has kicked in) have all had poor service. Long delays to get food, people who arrived after us getting their food before us, incomplete orders, wrong mixed drinks, unable to get drink refills (press button, note taken - nothing shows up. Press button again, add another note, it eventually shows up). My impression is that they're having a hard time with staffing - and reading online about unhappy service staff, it seems something is up. The attraction is the experience, and how it differs from traditional cinema. Much of that is intact, but the prices, and related service need some serious work. I could go into the "fire alarm" fiasco as well from a few months back. Two days of issues with their alarm system, and they keep the theater open, even when movies were interrupted multiple times with the lights coming up and alarms blaring. No mention of this online - you don't find out until you're walking into the theater. I've got tickets for the family tomorrow - we'll see how it goes...

Eddie B.

Yelp
Gotta appreciate the valiant attempt at bringing back the old school nostalgia of 'going to the movies'. They do a fantastic job of blending in the new modern eat in reclining vibe with what going to the movies used be. Love ya dudes keep trucking.

Chuck L.

Yelp
Love Alamo! Between the drinks, queso, quality of all menu items, service and facility - it's the only place I go. The emphasis of a quiet zone and guests staying off their phone is the main reason I chose Alamo in the beginning.

Ardie S.

Yelp
I really don't get Alamo Drafthouse. Sure they were probably first to market with meals at your seat. The theater I went to here had only stadium seating which means no recliners. You have to watch this step up to the actual seating if you're on the entry level row. It can be kind of tricky to negotiate the half step. The stadium seats themselves would be okay if it weren't for the intrusion of the darned high school wood shop ordering table. I don't need that in the way all the time, Alamo. And what's up with threatening us to turn off her phones and then sending someone around to check our tickets which requires us to turn our phones on again? Can't you do this at the door like a normal theater? The screening itself was just fine, projection and sound were totally on par with an expected modern theater experience. It's not a bad place to see a flick, it just isn't that great or comfortable either. Maybe they've just fallen on hard times, but they seem to have lost their way at the head of the pack. Take it or leave it.

Chantel G.

Yelp
Love Alamo as a whole don't particularly care for this location Needs an update inside for sure considering the other locations for the same price have nicer seats Service is ok it was great the last few times I've had my food forgotten Like last week I asked if I could get popcorn 20 min into movie and it came 10 min before the movie ended (Tht was a bummer I had eaten before so wasn't starving n was enjoying the movie didn't want to say anything n then chalked it up to maybe I don't need it lol) But been here a few times because it's closer but willing to drive *don't forget 18% charge is for service Inside is clean for the most part Lots of parking U can miss it if not looking

Alicia G.

Yelp
Update: In the last year or so this place has really gone down. Not sure what is happening but the service is not the same and the food isn't either. Not sure if they have changed management or since they implemented the mandatory 18% gratuity, everyone doesn't feel as obligated to put their best foot forward. Even though I am a victory member and have been for the last decade, I find myself going to other theaters more often just for a nice change of pace. Especially where folks still need "earn" a tip... Another thing that I wish they would do is update the lighting in there. When the movie ends and they turn the main lights on, I shouldn't need to grab my flashlight on my phone to see my bill. The lighting is so dang dim it's ridiculous! To Alamo management...take a look at how Flix Brewhouse has their lighting... proper lighting at each table and it doesn't interfere with the movie...

Heather B.

Yelp
Just a staff update. I've been arriving a bit too early for my movies, so I relax in the lobby. I watch the staff behind the counter be so kind and friendly with EVERYONE who comes to the counter. There's never any kind of sign that they are tired or dislike their jobs.  In fact, I actually enjoy seeing their interactions. Come meet them and catch a movie!

Dee C.

Yelp
I love this theater, and the truffle popcorn is out of this world. Staff have always been helpful, and even stayed late to help us find keys that had been lost in the theater. Highly recommend!!

Karlyn K.

Yelp
Alamo is a great experience. We love attending. The food is ok, but paired with a movie lots better. Only down side is they will only let you order brunch items in the designated brunch movie. Blah!

Raquel T.

Yelp
The food here is so good. I rather eat here than most restaurants. The staff is TOP TIER! I love the service. The ambiance is always so chill yet fun. Def a vibe.

nancy f.

Yelp
The building is so nice at this location, but the service is horrible and the bar drinks need work for the price. Management needs to retrain and teach asap.

Kathy C.

Yelp
very comfortable chairs and amazing food!! I had not been to a movie theater in quite a while, and this was an amazing experience overall. I even had an adult beverage, which is really rare for me at the theater

Lauren G.

Yelp
The drafthouses here in Austin are huge. The theater sizes range from three rows to larger screens. They are a bit less attentive in the smaller movies if you decide you want to order more. The bathrooms were spacious and close to the testers always a plus.

Victoria M.

Yelp
Always a great experience. Comfortable and clean environment each time I've been. We always order good food and never have had any issues with bad service. Good location!

Christina B.

Yelp
This is a fun cinema house that has art type movies... We saw the killers of the flower moon. The new Scorsese film. And it was wonderful. I love how they ran all the old ads Scorsese had filmed over the years as the pre-show, and then the movie on Indian film makers was very interesting. And really set a tone for the whole film. I'm not sure if they did both of those for every show like that, came attached the movie, but Alamo Drafthouse does a good job. We didn't really eat except for the endless popcorn... I have to say they were really good at coding the entire thing of popcorn with butter. There's not just butter on top but all the way through the bowl. I had tea my brother had a beer and we both enjoyed the movie tremendously

Kenn N.

Yelp
How the mighty have fallen. 2 mediocre burgers and side salads with our popcorn cost $69.88 after the REQUIRED 18% "service" fee. What incentive does a server have if I'm required to tip at a level they dictate? But even if I tip at 18%, over $55 for two burgers and popcorn??? Alamo used to be a great place in Austin that was unique to Austin. Never again.

The ENtiTy O.

Yelp
Hey yall just want to say I love Alamo draft house. One of the best concepts right now and it's a great way to keep movie theatres open! That being said I do have to complain about the drop in quality since covid or sometime around there. Waitstaff have been less responsive, less hospitable. Prices have gone up significantly as well as this BS mandatory 18% tip? It's like my evening is being held hostage or something. I and I alone get to decide what tip you get, you're not entitled to my money. That being said I totally believe in tipping but not this BS. If you're going to make the "moral" decision to pay your staff more have it be at your expense not the customers. Also if it's because the business is struggling it's basic economics that you don't start charging more! Don't want this to sound hateful I am just a bit frustrated when trying to take my family here. Love you guys and this business let's make some changes. The entity gives this 2/5

Kat K.

Yelp
Overpriced food and uncomfortable seats. If you're looking at getting a sandwich and fries and want to sub fries for a side salad, they will charge you $3+ extra. All orders are now charged 18% service fee for the whole bill, no matter how many people are in your party. On top of that, you are asked to leave an additional tip for your server. We had two snack passes from nine months ago that we tried to use on our last visit and the theater did not honor them. The coupons did not list an expiration date on them, and the manager told us that the coupons were just for the "slow" season. How are customers supposed to know when the slow season is and when to use the coupon by? Bad business practice and very dishonest, in my opinion. If you're looking for a nice place to watch a movie and eat good food, I would suggest Moviehouse and eatery.

Robin B.

Yelp
Automatically add 18% service charge to each bill? Suppose the service doesn't deserve that? Suppose the service deserved only 15%? or 12%? And then they have the nerve to ask you for MORE tip on top of 18%. What a bunch of... c-words. Not only that, they HIDE the fact that they already charged you 18% on your bill. Yep! They're doing that on purpose. You had to have paid attention to the one of many announcements before the movie starts to have been aware of it. They DO NOT indicate that they already charged you 18% on check which you fill out when you pay. Instead, they hide it on the 3rd piece of paper (itemized bill) when they present you with the check. In a dark movie theater! What they have you fill out indicates the total, and then they ask for a tip. Yes, they are doing this on purpose. It's deceptive, if not outright breaking the law. It's blatantly designed to rip you off. Also, this time, the food sucked. Usually it's good. Today, not at all.

Edwyn A.

Yelp
This Alamo Drafthouse is just average if you are looking for a theater that serves food and drinks. There are better movie theaters like Moviehouse and IPIC in NW Austin. In fact, the seats here are not as comfy as the Muller location. Food has sort of stagnated as they became a nationwide chain. They used to do a lot more special menus and I miss the bat wings they used to have way back. The drinks are kind of expensive here as they try to match the prices in craft bars but far off from being craft cocktails.

John J.

Yelp
THIS THEATER DOES NOT ENFORCE THE NO TALKING RULE. On several occasions to this theater, there have been people talking, I don't know if the clientele are a problem, but the the staff does not remove them from the theater. I have made several complaints on multiple occasions, and nothing happens. The talkers may get a warning, but they just go right back to talking and the staff does nothing about it. Tonight was the last straw. I was seeing "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" and the last 30 minutes of the movie there was a group of four behind me who started talking. When I complained to the server, they did nothing! No warning at all. It ruined my movie experience. The staff and the management should be ashamed of themselves. I never have this problem at the other Alamo location I frequent. PATHETIC.

Paul R.

Yelp
We had a great experience with number 1 grandson. Tickets were bought online and we went straight to our comfy seats. Yea the food options are expensive. Raise your hand if you remember when movie food was not expensive. And don't give me that I remember when a large popcorn was .50 cents. You were making 400 dollars a week at the time and gas was 99 cents. Servers were on top of things we received our snacks, check, and receipt right on time. Sound system was excellent. We watched Top Gun Maverick and this is a movie that you need to see on the big screen. Here is a spoiler alert.......... Maverick _________________ at the end!! Only kidding.......

K G.

Yelp
Horrible service! Waited 30 minutes for a beer. Go to Cinemark instead where you can get your own food and drink.

James R.

Yelp
I just wanted to say thank you to the Drafthouse staff at Lakeline. Especially Amber. She went out of her way to make my daughter Jasmine's first time a great experience. She was so sweet to her and I am so grateful to her to share this experience with my daughter. Thank you so much.

James O.

Yelp
Server was a complete a-hole. Old guy with beard - I get your minimum wage jobs sucks but then quit

Ståle B.

Yelp
I know what to expect and Drafthouse delivers. The food is fine but not great. Service is stellar and I believe in their mission to deliver a great movie experience.

Ashley P.

Yelp
An elevated movie experience. Between a regular theatre and an iPic. All seats on the upper deck are pretty darn good, but they do sell out quickly depending on the movie. Especially when it is a new release. Seats are comfortable. Plenty of room. Love the table in front of each pair of seats to enjoy your meal. The food is a little hit or miss though. I have been many times and tried different things, but today I got the cane sugar lemonade which I was not a fan off. It had a bit of a weird after taste. I also got the chicken tenders. They were alright, but the fries were soggy upon arrival. My husband got the meat lovers pizza and he was a big fan. He loved that it was thin crust, but could have been crispier. Overall, pretty solid experience. Decent selection of food and decent quality. What's good is good and what's not so good isn't so good. But at the end of the day, I'm mostly here for the movie.

Douglas W.

Yelp
Movie theatre are banning large bags to stop people from being in their own food... Good thing I have a few Twix up my sleeve! I had a pretty eventful day but I knew that I wanted to still go catch a movie. I came to a pretty late showing and yet the service was great. Of course you always expect that the end of someone's shift that they would be low on energy but the service was fast friendly. The movie theater was clean the bathrooms are clean and there was plenty of parking.

AJ B.

Yelp
First time and what a great experience! Arrive early to find you seat and menu, write down your order stick paper on the dash & press a button which emits red light for service! So cool. I went to see the Bobs Burgers Movie & tried the special menu of the Glazed & Infused burger with fries & pickle spear & Wine train sangria both delicious and perfect for this movie. On the standard menu I ordered mozzarella sticks, frozen margarita, & cookies. The drinks are so strong I love it! All the food was hot and delectable and the service was excellent. I recommend this place for dates, parents who want to get away, or anyone just looking for a good movie dine in experience!

Juan A.

Yelp
I really hate leaving bad reviews, yet here we are. I bought tickets and ordered the lunchbox for a special "all ages" Father's Day screening of Inside Out 2. I get to the theater with my daughter, who is 2 years old, only to be turned away. Why? "All ages" does not mean ALL ages, it means 3+, it says so deep in the fine print. So I packed her things, loaded her up in the car, and drove across town for literally nothing. I used to be an avid fan of Alamo (at least twice a week, for Terror Tuesday and Weird Wednesday, as well as any other movie I wanted to see), but I'll admit it's maybe 2-3 times a year since becoming a father. However, I saw an all ages screening of a movie of (what used to be) my favorite theater in town, so I got excited and wanted to show my daughter a good time as a present to us both. I got a refund, but not one person explained to me how they planned on going about avoiding this for other in the future. Maybe remove the term "all ages" from your verbiage and replace it with 3+? I hope this issue is fixed for the next person. In the meantime, I won't be back until it is. Customer service begins with clear and concise communication to the customer, of which I am suspending that title for now. Hope to hear back from someone about how this will be rectified.

Ron M.

Yelp
I come here all the time!!! I literally have the membership thing. The service today was absolutely crap!!! The manager didn't even offer to take off anything off my tab. I told her I didn't want to tip the required 18%. Alamo needs to remove the 18% Service fee. If the waiter deserves a tip I tip well. The service today just sucked! No one knew how got what. I get that people are new but it's like painting by numbers! They kept interrupting the movie. As I'm trying to see my tab since the light under my table was terrible so I turned my phone screen down to the lowest I could and the staff guy had the gull to come at me..even after I said I'm trying to give you a better tip and I can't see. He stuck to the rule. The manager is terrible. If you look at my purchase history I come here average once a week.

Angela S.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite theater now! Used to be M&E, but since they sold off they sold out. Love the location, seats are so comfy, best iced tea (soooo goooood), best popcorn with butter, love the loaded fries. Great service every time I've been here! Love the Village location as well.

Carrie B.

Yelp
Been to this Alamo Location more times than I can count and can honestly say that I've had a great experience 99% of the time. In fact, once you go to an Alamo to see a movie it's nearly impossible to enjoy yourself at any other theater. Food is yummy, good drinks menu (although I really miss the Michelada they used to have), and the servers are friendly. To top it off the experience is just cool- way more fun and unique than the typical movie experience. Quirky and cool, highly recommend!

Yelp
If you are a parent with a child under two do NOT visit this theater. We came here on a Sunday as a family bought our tickets online and did not see anything upon purchase about child restrictions. We go to movies all the time with our little one and never have issues anywhere else! What's even crazier is they let us walk in with our stroller into the movie and then decided to tell us we can't be there once we tried to change our seats! NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY AT ALL! We will never visit here again. It's really disappointing as a parent to not be able to enjoy a movie as a family because of some dumb rule that is in my opinion bias! SMH!

Yelp
Prices are crazy here $6.00 for a soda, don't bother. Prices are out of control and these guys are no better. Save yourself the time and money, go elsewhere or bring your own.
