Drinks are good, ending the praise there. Came for karaoke on a Friday. Arrived early, put in a couple of songs, but sat for over two hours without singing.

One of my favorite queer bars in the city. It’s a homey dive bar with such a friendly crowd. Good place to chat and meet people. Drinks are strong and cheap. Great events; very community oriented. I feel so welcomed and at home here! Thank you for being absolutely lovely Albatross 💞

This is the little bar you want in your neighborhood! My first time there, went to see drag bingo. We ll!! Friendly, amazing quality of entertainment (opera trained drag beauty belting show tunes, dancing. Finishing the night eith a complete death drop ti the floor!) Clean, pool table, accessible staff. LGBTQ friendly.

Gierre is amazing!!! Literally one of the best spots to get a GOOD BOGO happy hour in Astoria! Have events most nights that range from drag shows to paint and sip to karaoke- definitely a neighborhood staple!

Albatross is a fantastic Queer space that offers a vibrant and entertaining atmosphere. One of the main highlights of this bar is the fantastic drag shows that take place regularly. The performers are incredibly talented and always put on a great show, leaving the audience thoroughly entertained. Moreover, the bartenders, including one of my absolute favorites, Gierre, are fantastic. They are friendly, attentive, and know how to mix a great drink. They always go above and beyond to make sure that customers are happy and having a good time. Their professionalism and expertise are truly impressive. Overall, Albatross is a great place to hang out with friends, enjoy some fantastic drinks, and be entertained by talented performers. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is fantastic, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking for a fun night out.

Service was ok but cocktails were not good. There was also a TV show being played at ridiculous volume that made this a 1 and done stop.

Highly recommend! Neighborhood gay bar with friendly people and an amazing group of bartenders, heyyyy Gierre, and drag queens heyyyy Gigi St. Croix and Lacey Stoner. Very casual, great entertainment.

This bar is a dive and I say that endearingly. Take it for what it is but the owners and staff care that you have a good time and leave happy. Staff and patrons are all incredibly friendly. The drag shows are fun and themed nights are a great time. Go here for a great queer experience without having to commit to dancing or screaming over top 40. If you’re new to the area, go here to meet your neighbors and make fast friends.

Best gay bar in NYC! Come for Bingo and Retro Rewind on Sundays. Amazing shows. Karaoke on Fridays is a must.

We came for the Sondheim edition of the Divas Series by Filip Groft and had a great time! The hosts Jewel Marquee and Gigi St. Croix were hilarious! Great performers!

Super fun, local inclusive bar that has quickly become a regular spot to visit. Bartenders are friendly and welcoming. Great music and late night drink specials.

Today, 11/13... I ordered an old fashion. Yes... I know but Michael makes a good one. And I've had his before... But he asked me if I had a nut allergy and I have severe Walnut allergy.... The bitters has walnuts... he saved my life. I'm so thankful for the considerate and most caring bartenders here. Xoxo

Crap, I hate when I take too long to write a review and forget folks' names. I stopped by Albatross for a Eurovision party and had a great time. The bartenders (whose names I cannot recall) were awesome and definitely kept the party going after the end of the contest. While I visited for a specific viewing party, overall, I've had nice experiences at Albatross Bar. The bar seems like a place where local LGBT+ folks that live in Astoria hang out.

This is our favorite neighborhood gay bar. Always fun and we love the Queens in Queens! Highly recommend.

My first time here and I had such a wonderful time. Skip the bartender has the personality a bartender has to have. Such wonderful person and nice to talk to. Such a fun neighborhood bar! The Drag Queens such as Sutton Lee Seymour are fun to watch and Freeda Kulo does a great job of jostling The Drag Race viewing party and then karaoke in Fridays!

Went and saw a Halloween drag show with Anya Back and Nancy Nogood. Fabulous show and an attentive bartender!

I love the history this lovely bar has in the Astoria community. I've been coming here for a long long time and I really love how classic it feels, it's all very relaxed and the vibes are always great. I love karaoke night here and it's a safe space in the heart of Astoria. Will always recommend my favorite queens queer space!!!!

Been coming here for a few years now. It's a great gay bar not terribly far from the Astoria stop or the M60 bus. It's not huge, but it has a great neighborhood feel. I've always had a good experience with the bartenders. They have a pool table that is covered up for the really busy times, but I have played games here when it's more relaxed and really had a good time. The beer selection is pretty limited, but it goes beyond the typical mass-produced draughts. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for a great, low-key gay bar, definitely stop in.

I was visiting some friends in queens, in from Iowa. Skip was welcoming the second I walked in the door. He made sure I was comfortable and happy and ensured I had the best night in queens! I think anyone of any background should come and enjoy an albatross drink and get lucky if skip is working!

Went for after brunch drag bingo and had a blast! Good drinks that were reasonably priced and fun staff. I also liked that there were games to play. I hope I make it back!

Albatross has some okay entertainment, but sneak in as much alcohol as you possibly can. It just cost me SIXTEEN FUCKING DOLLARS, $16 fucking dollars for a **well** whiskey ginger. When I doubled checked the price, the bartender acted like it was the steal of the century. You can buy a liter of whiskey and a two liter of ginger for that price and pre-game. They also pour like every ounce of liquor is coming out of their paycheck. It's very homophobic for a gay bar to charge that much for weak ass drinks. Tragic. Despite that, the entertaintment is good. However, I strongly recommend you show up drunk.

Love the vibe, beautiful people, easy going, great drinks! Had an awesome time singing along and meeting new people. The bar tenders are nice and if you don't like a super crowded place this is for you. I will be back!

Nice low key gay bar. I am straight and came in on accident but it was still perfectly fine/nice. Cheap beer in a divey setting. There is a decent amount of space in the bar along with a jukebox and a comfy couch.

Sweet bartenders and chill crowd. I was there earlier in the night though. So I'm not sure how crazy it gets later on. I felt really comfortable just slowly sipping drinks and catching up with old friends. I would definitely come back whenever I'm in the area. Heads up: Free shot of the day with a purchase with Yelp check in! (We were allowed to pick a liquor of choice for the shot since the bartender hadn't created the daily shot yet.)

Love that even in an outer borough, I have a neighborhood gay bar. Great spot for karaoke and Thursday night trivia with Michael (a personal fave, but not for the faint of heart). If you're in the area, stop by and see how the rest of NYC (outside of the "City") unwinds.

Great place, fun, local, good drink selection. I like the jukebox, and the bartenders are cool. Very different from most bars a great blending of all types of people.

This neighborhood haunt packs a huge punch in the ways of Fun, family, welcoming environments and gets better from there! The bartenders (especially Sean, who is devilishly attractive and pours a fabulous cocktail) are fantastic, the Drag Queens are out of this World! Try going in on a Sunday after Brunch for their Bingo hosted by Drag Star, Diana Carfire and you're in for a live singing Broadway and pop diva treat laced with raucous and dark humor... and don't forget the sweet drink specials! ($5 mimosas and bloody Mary's flow freely all afternoon) OR Go any day and you are sure to catch amazingly talented drag queens in action, pool and darts being played, and most importantly, friends waiting to hang out and get to know you. Great bar!

I'm in it now just ordered a Makers Mark on the rocks it tasted awful asked th bartender to make it again still didn't recognize it bartender has a bad attitude for they charge they shouldn't be watering down the liquor

Well... The service was mediocre and semi rude. The menu had limited fare. The wine menu was so-so at best. Oh and drinking beer out of a can kills the entire experience. Décor was modern contemporary and.... prices were all over the place. Of note is that they only respond to positive reviews on YELP... go figure.

I love this place. It can be a little expensive at times but when you're pressed for karaoke there are 0.01% chances you'll find a better lgbtq+ friendly place than this. Hit it up. Seriously. Go... now.

Great little gay bar in Astoria. The bartender Nathan was very cute and always had my glass full! I used the app to check in and I received a free shot! There was a hysterical drag perforce going on as well. -Would highly recommend this bar because of the atmosphere and bartenders *****

This is my go-to bar when I'm in town. It's a no bulls*it place where you can be chill and just relax. Think a bar that Anastasia Beaverhausen would frequent. Friendly folk. No drama. Great prices. Easy vibe. Everyone feels welcome --just start talking you'll make quick friends. It's truly a gem. Love it. Always have. Always will.

Always love this place. A welcoming bar for gay and straight alike with a "local" vibe. Drag Karaoke is fantastic -- one of the best I've ever been to. I like that it's no frills and the drinks are well-priced and well-made. Cute bartenders, too!

If there's going to be outdoor service and wait service then all the tables should be treated equally. I was there on Sunday afternoon 8/30 and my friend and I were virtually ignored while the waiter flirted and chatted up other tables and would walk right past us, never asking if we needed anything. We were invisible. We left after one round and it wasn't until we were up and by the corner that we got any acknowledgement. There are only so many tables so I don't get how this could happen. I want to support my local gay bar but not if this is how the service will be.

Every time I come to this place it is dead. Even when they book shows it's absolutely boring and to add to it - that it's a dive bar is an understatement. The gay scene is Astoria is lacking and only this place and ICON as a go to is truly underserved. However, at least ICON has a Dancefloor and plays good music and gets busy on weekends with go go's. I'll give this place another shot but they need to Up their game.

My friend Joseph took me to this happy little place recently and I adored it! Great fun without having to travel into Manhattan. I forgot the bartender's name, forgive me! but...yeah, woof!!!!

I love albatross, such warm staff and a friendly environment for anyone! I went there the weekend before Halloween and it was lit!!!! Always has great drag performances. There is a menu with specialized cocktails every night.
