Albero Bistro

What a hidden gem! Albero Bistro was recommended to me by a coworker. My wife and I decided to give it a try. We arrived around 6pm on a Friday evening. The dining room was nearly full, however we were immediately greeted and taken to a table. The staff were absolutely amazing during our visit. Drinks arrived quickly and our appetizer arrived shortly after. The calamari couldn’t have been better. Our entrees were equally good. At the end we ordered the salted caramel cheesecake and were pleasantly surprised when it arrived with a message written in chocolate on the plate. After one visit Albero Bistro has definitely become one of our go to spots in Wichita.

Every bite made my eyes roll back so far I didn’t know if they’d come back out. The texture of the pasta salad was something I didn’t even know existed. The Burger D’Albero was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The eggplant Parmesan was savory and came in a very large portion. This might be my new favorite place in town.

A great experience. No dairy free cheese. But was easy to get around that. Gluten free pasta was great. This was one I will return to.

Albero Bistro is my family’s favorite restaurant in Wichita. The food is delicious, creative, and generously portioned. The prices are reasonable, and we always feel like we can order whatever we want without being concerned about price. The service is warm and attentive. The space is comfortable and conducive to a great time. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I don’t typically do food reviews because as the owner of a food business I completely understand off days. But tonight my Fiancée and I decided to visit Albero Bistro and disappointed would be an understatement. Our Food came out lukewarm to say the least. And it just simply wasn’t good. We ordered the shrimp dip as an appetizer, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t hot and the bread was hard but we saved our appetites all day for our date night so we ate it. My fiancée ordered the Chicken Cesar sandwich, with a side salad (the salad was the best thing we had) and I ordered the Gramigna which I was so excited about because it sounded so good, I also added a side of shrimp. It came out dry and I had to add a side of sauce. At first glance and bite it wasn’t bad but as I got into the dish it just wasn’t good, the pork was cooked poorly as you can see, very bland, no browning and very rubbery. My fiancée sent her sandwich back because it had a fishy taste. When we told the waiter she informed us that the dressing had anchovies in it as if we weren’t aware that anchovies are an ingredient in Cesar dressing. She decided to change it out for a burger, after we waited almost 20 min for a (again we were the only people in the restaurant) and we saw through the mirror the “chef” microwaving her food we said forget it and asked for the check. Also the waiter never removed our dirty dishes off the table. Guys we were the only people in the restaurant 😔 😞 luckily we truly enjoy each others company and this didn’t ruin our night. I was really looking forward to a good meal and this just wasn’t it.

We had an amazing experience dining here! Our waitress, Hanna, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The Italian food was top-notch—every dish was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend and definitely ask for Hanna if you can!

Had great experience both times we were here. We loved the Arancini. I had the Italian Sausage sandwich the second visit and it was delicious. The chips were tasty as well. The owner checked on us both times. Good selection of wine at a very reasonable price.

We ordered the shrimp dip, Caesar salad, chicken marsala, carbonara, & the kids chicken & veggies. The shrimp dip was the same sauce as the carbonara with approx. 2 cut up pieces of shrimp in it. It was too loose/watery to be paired with the bread that it came with but the flavor was okay. Caesar salad was not enough for $10 but a decent size & the flavor was a basic Caesar. The chicken marsala taste better than it looked. I didnt know the carbonara has pork in it, which should be disclosed. The taste was mediocre. The kids meal, the chicken was tender & the veggies (Broccoli & tomatoes) were perfectly seasoned. I think the veggies was the best part of the entire meal. The waiter seemed high strung & nervous. The atmosphere was very clean. It bothered me that they have a microwave & I watched them use it so many times. Lets me know everything is fresh. Overall okay experience, but would not return.
