This restaurant was fine dining at its best. Food was excellent. Service was top notch and atmosphere was a perfect setting for the celebration. Server was engaging and knowledgeable about to menu and provided recommendations. Definitely worth experiencing when in Vegas.

We had another great meal here with our favorite server, Drew. He’s very personable and always remembers us and welcomes us back. They have a great dining room with a fireplace and plenty of booths. The French onion soup was tasty. We ordered the prime rib mid rare and it came out perfectly. The sides are easily big enough for two or more ppl so we only ordered two which was still a lot of food for us, especially if you get an appetizer or first course. The bread and water service staff were very attentive. We usually go early evening after a movie and have never had a problem getting in asap without a reservation. Prices are reasonable as we were able to have dinner for two ( 2 soups, two prime rib, two sides, dessert, coffee and a bottle of red wine) for under $200 before tip. The staff here is always welcoming and is a big reason we keep returning.

Hello, Every year we have a large group (St. Louis) that goes to The Orleans. This year was our third time dining @ Alder & Birch. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and kindness provided by Andrya. She always goes above and beyond while supporting her colleagues. This year was a slightly different for us, because we suffered the loss of a great man in July 2024, Dave Schmidt. Dave was one of a kind and he is greatly missed by many. As you will see in the photographs, we honored him by wearing t-shirts graciously provided by Matt. It was an honor for each one of us to show our support. Lastly, I’d like to give a shout out to Drew who also provided great service. I highly recommend dining at this restaurant. Rob

Google
1st time here, everything was a Home Run . We had the crab cakes , and rock shrimp as a starter . Holy Smokes that was absolutely Amazing. Drew was our waiter . Very nice , great smile and even felt like he was enjoying what he does. Side note, I’ve eaten steaks all over this amazing country and this would have to be in my Too 10 places to eat . We will definitely be coming back .

Google
The restaurant decor is beautiful, and very comfortable. We were greeted with fresh baked breads to choose from. We already viewed the menu so we proceeded to order our entree. I opted for the Salmon and my sweetie chose the beef roast. After 2 bites of the salmon, I knew I would eat every bite right there. Usually I never eat all my food. But this was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I tasted the beef and it was fork tender and juicy. If you are in Vegas, definitely dine at Alder + Birch. Your taste buds will thank you. By the way the restaurant is inside The Orleans Hotel and Casino.

We celebrated my son’s 21st birthday here on Saturday night March 15, 2025. It was an absolutely amazing experience. We had a great time. Our waiter Eric was wonderful. The service and the food were all top-notch couldn’t have asked for a better dinner to help us celebrate.

Google
Had a really pleasant experience eating dinner here. Our server, Drew, was attentive and prompt. The food was delicious- while filling we didn’t feel overly stuffed or bloated afterwards. The ice cream sandwich is MASSIVE. The ambience and decor is nice- balancing being well-lit in appropriate areas while keeping the traditional steakhouse vibe.

Google
Andrya and Jomel were very attentive and personable. I appreciated Andrya’s recommendation’s. The walnut bread is so delicious and the blue cheese scalloped potatoes are a must try.

Yelp
Delicious entrees (had lamb chops scallops salmon and short rib) highly recommend raspberry drop the lemon! Our server Andrya was very attentive! Enjoy!

Yelp
The people who work at this restaurant make the difference. The food is great and the drinks too but it's the bartenders (David and Kelley) along with the waitstaff (Andrya and Drew) that keep us coming back.

Yelp
Located in The Orleans hotel & casino not too far from hotel registration. We did t eat here however my husband frequented the bar for his old fashioneds. Impressed by the bartender who served him the 1st night & 4 nights later remembered him & his drink order. Pricy but worth it! Upscale but comfortable!

Yelp
Alder & Birch is a nice steakhouse type establishment nestled in The Orleans casino. After a long day of Karate tournaments, this seemed like a suitable option to grab a bit and some vino. It is in the center of The Orleans Casino, when you walk in you feel as if you have left the casino and arrived at an upper scale restaurant. The inside is visually pleasing- clean modern with a beautiful fire place as the focal point. We opted for some appetizers. We ordered their fresh oysters, east coast, medium size. They were tasty. We also order the poke nachos which were done right. They were delicious. In addition to those items we ordered crab cakes, as well as French onion soup. Everything was nice. The ambience relaxing. The service was pleasant and attentive. This is a good choice if you're at The Orleans and need an immediate decent bit.

Yelp
Great hidden gem inside ORLEANS. Food is delicious and great cocktails. Everyone who works there is wonderful! Andrya our server was fantastic. Super nice, very knowledgeable about the menu and delivered exceptional service. 10 out of 10!!

Yelp
We took a quick taxi ride to the Orleans, and we were looking for a bite to eat. We had plans to see Jersey Boys while we were in Vegas, and this restaurant was right next to the theater. Drew B. was our server, and he did a fantastic job. Before our meal, we were shown a colossal basket of bread. There were so many different options to choose from, and they all looked delicious. We were given one of each to try. My favorite was the chocolate walnut bread. I ordered the Orleans prime rib, and it was thick and savory. We also had the New York steak Oscar style, and that was delicious as well. For a side, we went with the Gouda Mac and Cheese. That was also so decadent! I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great service and fabulous food.

Yelp
Going to a show at the Orleans and wanted to have a nice dinner before the show. No problem getting a reservation at the time we needed. Free valet parking. A big plus compared to going to eat at many a strip or downtown hotel. Shortly after we were shown our table, Drew, our server, came by to greet us and get our drink orders. Next, the busboy came by with the bread service. Very impressive. Huge array of 4 or 5 choices of breads to choose from. I went with a focaccia, a raisin walnut and a flatbread (easy to fill up on the breads when they are that good and you have almost no self control). For our entree, my wife and I shared the bone in ribeye ($74). It was perfectly prepared and sliced for us. We got a side of wild mushrooms ($13). Also delicious. Service was spectacular throughout the meal. Water glasses were never allowed to get even half full. The room itself is lovely. The booths are fairly private and the noise level is very quiet. Only gripe - a $10 sharing charge. It is not like they had to plate it separately - they just brought out the steak on one plate same as if I was eating it by myself. Overall - outstanding high end steak house. Will definitely return.

Yelp
If you want a fabulous meal with great service from hostess to bartender to our excellent server, Andrya then definitely go here! This place beats any recent restaurants I have dined at in Las Vegas. My husband and I were attending the Jersey boys concert at the Orleans hotel so we made reservations here. I did not have high expectations because the Orleans is old and smells of cigarette smoke so bad. Definitely not our choice of hotels. But my husband and I were so pleasantly surprised when we walked in this beautiful restaurant and were treated so wonderfully. Andrya didn't miss a beat while waiting on us. It doesn't happen too often anymore so we will definitely return to this spot. We had the oysters, crab bisque soup, ceasar salad, filet mignon topped with foie gras and cheesecake and all were amazing. Try it you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Solid 4 Stars. Our server was Michael, and he was professional and nice. Beautiful ambiance and good for large parties. Food: Rib Eye Steak Asparagus Baked Potato Lamb Chops Short Rib House Chopped Salad Tempura Rock Shrimp The steaks and lamb were cooked perfectly. Asparagus was an added touch. The least favorite was the creme brulee and baked potato, but my favorite, in which I returned the next day to eat this dish again, was the Tempura Rock Shrimp. On my 2nd visit, I ordered a House Chopped Salad and that was awful. I had to return it because it was overdressed. Overall, the service was good and the food was delcious. I would definitely return again.

Yelp
This is the first time I've ever ate inside the Orleans. The place we sat at was very cute with a see through fireplace in front of us. I ordered the crab bisque which was decent. I really wanted seafood, but when we ordered the seafood treasure it was a lot. I would say it can feed 6-8 people. They forgot to bring us butter and did not check on us for 10 mins or so until I waived a server down. The meatballs were kind of dry for my taste. I should have ordered steak or lamb. Maybe next time! Overall staff was nice and the place is cute.

Yelp
I came to this restaurant last summer to meet my mom for dinner prior to going to the Usher concert. Since that visit, I have dreamed about the next time I would be in Vegas so I could dine here again and order the DELICIOUS mushroom side. Well, I'm back for Superbowl and made sure I had reservation at Alder & Birch so I could order the Wild Mushroom Gratine. In addition to the side, I ordered the rack of lamb, truffle Mac and, Alaskan King crab. Everything was so good! Big props to our server, Drew, that provided excellent service and recommended the mac.

Yelp
We have being dining at The Orleans since they opened. Our favorite restaurant, Canal Street, closed years ago. We decided to try Alder & Birch for Valentine's Day. What a great choice we made-did not disappoint! We were even fortunate to have Andrya as our server. She had previously worked at Canal street. I did not even have to give her my specifics on how I wanted my steak or sides. She remembered I had the filet, delicious, and the Caesar salad. The dressing was probably the best I have had as well as the filet. My husband had the salmon and chopped salad and thoroughly enjoyed. My mom had the beef short ribs and they were so tender. The atmosphere is beautiful with a stunning fireplace. Highly recommend

Yelp
We wanted to have a steak dinner on our last night in Vegas, and without a reservation, we were able to get in here at the last minute without a wait. It's located in The Orleans. I The ambience was cozy yet sophisticated. Service was great. Anytime our water was a 2/3 full, it was refilled. We started with the meatballs, marinara and toasted bread. I thought it was good, but nothing to write home about. For meals, I had the filet mignon and my husband had the prime rib. The filet mignon was perfectly tender and had great flavor. The prime rib was a good price and cooked as ordered, though slightly less flavorful. But my husband loved the portion size. For sides we got the mashed Boursin potatoes, which were delicious. We could have shared that between us as a single side. We hardly ate the French fries we ordered because they were too thick for my preference. I prefer a thinner, crispy fry. I would skip these. We spend $175 with tip.

Yelp
Had an incredible dinner at Alder & Birch, from the delightful cocktails to the scrumptious appetizers and entrees. I kicked things off with a signature cocktail recommended by our waiter--the Filthy Negroni, a gin concoction adorned with luscious filthy cherries. The complimentary bread tray was a pleasant surprise, featuring delicious sourdough, chocolate walnut bread, lavosh, and butter. Opting for a family-style experience, my party of five sampled a variety of appetizers: poke nachos, Caesar salad in a crispy Parmesan cheese bowl, crab cakes, Wagyu meatballs, and tempura rock shrimp--all of which were outstanding, with the poke nachos standing out as my personal favorite. For my main course, I indulged in the Beef Rossini Imperial, which was flawlessly prepared, alongside some Boursin mashed potatoes for sharing. My friends enjoyed a range of dishes including salmon, short ribs, filet mignon, lobster, scalloped blue cheese potatoes (absolutely divine), and truffle mac and cheese. Despite being too full for dessert, I couldn't resist rounding off the meal with a perfectly mixed dirty martini. I wholeheartedly recommend Alder & Birch. Our visit was spurred by plans to attend a late-night magic show at The Orleans, and after reading glowing reviews, we decided to dine here instead of exploring elsewhere. This spot is definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
When you stay at the Orleans in Las Vegas, you must visit Alder & Birch. And you must ask for Andrya!!! She is Da Bomb!! You will have a great time, experience excellent service and good food to fuel your night!! Andrya will spark your night!!

Yelp
The Hostess was super kind, friendly and very accommodating. Andreya our Server is super nice and very patient. Jomel the Server Assistant is very thorough and on top of his game. Cocktails are marvelous. Yummy. Entrees are excellent as well, Short Ribs, Prime Rib, Boursin Mashed Potatoes, Asparagus, exceptional. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Ordered short rib, it was dry and mealy. When I sent it back, the waitress offered me the already prepared filet they mistakenly made for one of my dining partners who had ordered prime rib (cooked to medium, rather than rare as I would have ordered myself). As everyone at my table was already eating their meal, I took the offer, rather than wait for them to prepare a whole new meal. The filet itself was dry and I had to order $4 bearnaise to make it decent. When the check came, they tried to charge me for the more expensive, secondhand filet cooked for someone else, THEY OFFERED as a replacement rather than the unsatisfactory short ribs I had ordered. I talked to a manager who ended up crediting the $11 difference. Mocktail was very good, creme brulee was fine. Service was good when they were there, but there were long stretches of time where we couldn't find any serving staff. Hard pass. Can get better food and better service for way less almost anywhere else.

Yelp
Andrya was amazing! Great dinner and drinks awesome service ! Food was great. Entrees were really good sides as well. No room for dessert.

Yelp
This was a surprisingly good off strip steakhouse dining experience! Reservations are easily made on their website and are highly recommended. The interior is very impressive! High quality and contemporary decor. I particularly liked the dark wood finishes and the glass between booths for extra privacy. The server was fairly friendly but not quite up to the standard of a place of this caliber. No review of the menu, no overall welcome, and very limited follow-up. I had the Bramble cocktail which was quite delicious and strong. I had a glass of red wine later (I can't remember which one), and it was smooth and very tasty. For starters we had the shrimp cocktail and tempura rock shrimp. Both were excellent! The cocktail had fresh and sweet shrimp with no fishy or ocean taste. The tempura shrimp were perfectly breaded and not oily. We then shared a Caesar salad which we were bizarrely charged $5 to split. We have done this many times before at high end restaurants and never been charged a split fee before. Oh well. The salad itself was extremely tasty and fresh. I had the 7 oz filet mignon entree. It was tasty but honestly not the same fork tender as I've had at other top Vegas steakhouses. We tried a variety of sides which were fairly standard, but the grilled cream of corn was the standout. Delicious with a wonderful maple flavor that was not overpowering. It also had a slightly crunchy crust that was perfect. I had the banana rum cake dessert. A perfect size for one, it was moist and packed the perfect balance of rum and banana flavor. At the end of the meal we wanted to take some leftovers to go. The table busser plunked down some plastic containers and walked away. This was kind of tacky. Restaurants of this caliber typically whisk your leftovers away and return them bagged and packaged. Overall this was better than expected for an off strip high end steakhouse and is worth a visit!

Yelp
My extended family were in town to help wrap up our mom's house, and we went to Alder & Birch for dinner. The food, service, and atmosphere were beyond our expectations, and our server Andrea worked very hard to ensure we had a positive experience.

Yelp
Service and food is excellent. Andrya is excellent in service and conversation. Go here every week.

Yelp
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! This is one of our favorite places out here for dinner. They also have a great happy hour. This is located deep in the head of The Orleans hotel which is a couple blocks off strip. Per the restaurant: "Cocktails and steaks the way nature intended. The casual elegance of Alder & Birch celebrates American Tradition with steaks and classic entrees. Featuring an assortment of shared plates, hand-crafted cocktails, house-made ginger beers, prime steaks, and classic American entrees." For my first drink, I'm having a Sazerac made with rye bourbon, courvoisier, simple syrup, peychard bitters, angostura bitters and pernod. This looks perfect ! I don't have this drink as often. It's a small amount of liquid but it packs a great taste. The official drink of New Orleans. Well, the name of this hotel is... For my appetizer, I'm having the Lump Crab Cake. Well, they mean cakeS. There are TWO of them. They are made with rémoulade and a seared . They are moist and yummy. The sauce is fantastic! For my next appetizer, I'm having the Kobe Beef Meatballs (splitting them with a friend) which come with ricotta, tomato sauce on a grilled baguette. While not as moist as the ones we had yesterday at Golden Steer, they are quite good nonetheless! For my salad , I'm having the House Chopped Salad made with cabbage, iceberg/romaine lettuce, cucumbers, hearts of palm, red onion, grape tomatoes, feta, avocado, sunflower seeds, fresh basil and diced peppers. This is good ! I was to hungry I forgot to add the oil and vinegar dressing! For my final drink, I'm having a Manhattan (neat). Very good ! Nice and chilled. Nice garnish. For my entree, I'm having the Veal Chop Marsala which is a tender milk-fed veal, mushroom marsala sauce, fried onions, sautéed spinach. Wow ! This is good ! For dessert, I'm having their creme brûlée which comes with housemade raspberry champagne sorbet. This is good ! No vanilla bean on the bottom. I like the whipped cream and raspberry touch! What a fantastic meal here!

Yelp
Had a phenomenal experience for my son's birthday. Every dish was fantastic, our server Drew was the epitome of great service and exceptionally knowledgeable. We loved all his recommendations!! The food was wonderful and Drew made it a truly memorable experience.
google avatar

Lucera P.

Yelp
The food was delicious, and the whole staff was personable and professional, especially our server Andrya. My husband raved over his veal marsala! No matter where you stay in Las Vegas, you should make it a point to try Alder & Birch.

Yelp
In between college basketball games at the Orleans basketball pavilion, I needed to find a nice place for a quick, good meal. Mission accomplished. An intimate, beautifully appointed restaurant with bar seating and a big screen tv! I had an amazing wedge salad and kobe meat balls in a rich red sauce with french bread. The perfect combination to accommodate the best Tanqueray and tonic I've had in a while. The staff are attentive and super nice. They helped me out of an embarrassing situation with grace and professionalism. Matt says come to this place off the strip for an amazing culinary experience.
google avatar

Paulette P.

Yelp
The food was ok but it was cheap quality for example the house chopped salad basically came out of bag and the balsamic dressing tasted like the kind in a bottle I buy at the grocery store. The service was good no issues with that. We only had appetizers so maybe the entrees are better. The Caesar salad dressing was a bit mayonasee tasting and the wagu meatballls were nothing special. We were short on time so we chose this place because this hotel does not have a lot of options.

Mike D.

Yelp
Andrya was amazing as was all of the staff we encountered. She was so attentive and friendly. We would sit in her section every time . Highly recommend!
google avatar

Jon V.

Yelp
Keep in mind..this steakhouse is not on the strip. Don't expect too much. Decided to give the Australian Lobster Tails See picture. Although they were slightly dry, the presentation didn't look ver appealing. Look at the Caesar's Salad. Very sloppy and soggy filled with dressing. If these two dishes are like this, I'm afraid to order the steaks. Speaking of steaks, there was no description about the steaks if dry aged or just prime. No need to ask as steaks are the core of the restaurant and should be marketed. It did state the prime rib was 21 day dry aged. Did I say don't expect too much?

Dana M.

Yelp
Been coming here for years, servers and food is top notch! Andeya and Drew and the best!! Thank you for always taking care of us!

Yelp
our second trip here while staying at the Orleans for March Madness. AMAZING service from their team. we were seated promptly with drinks in our hands within 5mins of being seated. our server was on point and always available. the restaurant is well laid out and the location next to all the busyness of the casino makes it very appealing. we used to frequent the Prime Rib Loft before the shut their doors, but, the Prime Rib here is not too shabby. price points are a little more then the Loft, but, flavors are all there. side options are delicious and wine suggestions were perfect. overall, coming back next March Madness!

Suzy And Jonathan K.

Yelp
Our server Drew was excellent. He gave us just the right amount of attention and gave us the space we needed to enjoy our meal and experienc.

John M.

Yelp
Great food! Great drinks, better service! Andrya did an excellent job from beginning to end!!!
google avatar

Fred J.

Yelp
We really had no idea how wonderful our dinner was going to be when we arrived to this place. We kinda took a glance while walking the casino and decided to treat ourselves to a nice steak dinner inside this beautiful restaurant. The decor is elegant and refined. With warm dark wood tones , white chairs and dark leather booths made this place felt cozy. Our host was wonderful and offered us a great table by the fireplace and it set the tone for the evening. Our server was attentive and made sure our drinks and meal were to our liking. The bar prepared some amazing cocktails and the details to garnish was on point. The staff here are great and check on us frequently to ensure we didn't have to ask for anything. Water was always replenished. Our crab bisque was so delicious and the steak was really well prepared and seasoned. We didn't really need the sauce we chose...lol. We certainly will return here again !!! Thank you to all the staff here,

Yelp
Amazing. Just go. Eat the bread. Get the best Caesar salad. Bone in ribeye.. med rare with portobellos on top. Add some Cabernet sauvignon. And end it with some crème brûlée. Don't forget a basil martini too!

Annalisa M.

Yelp
Delicious! Service was impeccable! I can't remember our servers name, I'm so sorry young man!! We were there at 7:30 and sat on the left side. Romantic and cozy. Complete with center fireplace. We WILL be back!!!
google avatar

Candi B.

Yelp
Drew, our server, and the staff were excellent. Checked in with us the ideal amount and were very friendly. We liked the individual bread service with varied kinds - novel approach and you don't end up eating too much before the entree. The crab bisque was actually better than the lobster bisque I had at Top of the World the following night. The blue cheese scalloped potatoes were great - my husband doesn't even like blue cheese and he enjoyed them. All in all a great place, food was definitely better than some higher end places. Cozy atmosphere. We'll go back for sure.
google avatar

Ada H.

Yelp
This is the best place for crab legs. Everything is taken care, chopped and shelled. All you need to do is to pull the crab leg out. The flavor is amazing. We also ordered prime rib, and I do think this is best place for prime rib. The scallops were cooked perfectly too. Even though this place is not on the strip but I would definitely pick this over most of the fine dinings on the strip because every single dish is cooked so perfectly
google avatar

Chelsea S.

Yelp
My family and I enjoy ABCD when we're at the Orleans. The food is good, service is friendly and the ambiance is elegant and warm. Our waitress Andrea has waited on us many times before and she remembers my family every time we come in, shes so nice and we enjoy her company. Food - I recommend the following Appetizers: Kobe Meatballs Wild Mushroom Gratinee Shrimp cocktail Soup- they're both good!! But I get the crab bisque every time! Entrees - everything is good but this is what we had this trip: Cioppino, crab legs and the halibut. We have never been able to try dessert here because we're so full after everything else! Hopefully one day we'll have saved enough room. We'll be back to ABCD for sure!!!
google avatar

Imee C.

Yelp
I'd like to start with giving our server, Andrea a shout out on her patience and exceptional service. That alone deserved a 5 star. Complimentary variety of bread in a basket with the butter was a pretty good start. I ordered the crab bisque soup for starters it was just okay. It wasnt very creamy and had very little crab in it. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked and was very tender but lacked taste. Blue cheese scalloped potatoes were definitely a winner.

Donna J.

Yelp
Server took our order and we never saw him again. Food was basic nothing fabulous. We wanted to order coffee and desert and sat with empty plates for 30 minutes and got tired so we found the first person who looked like a server and asked them to help us with getting our check since our waiter fell off the planet.
google avatar

Yelp
Chosen as a belated Mother's Day meal, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant. I wasn't expecting much being the Orleans sort of an older casino steak house but the exterior and interior decor is absolutely beautiful modern and well thought out. Mini fireplace creates romantic ambiance and best part is getting the booth with frosted glass for exclusivity. Servers were very efficient Andrya was very quick and addressed us shortly after we sat. Seating area is nice, wood tables and beautiful water glasses. All the food was great including the bread basket and cocktails: each cocktail we tried was really good from the French 75 to the brambleberry martini. The shrimp cocktail was plump large shrimp, the rock shrimp tempura was also really good. Just a few things was being charged $5 for splitting the salad which we didn't expect and might have just shared the salad in one plate if they were going to charge for splitting. The sides were delicious from the roasted cream corn to the Boursin mashed potatoes. The corn had a sweet syrup like taste that made it like a caramel corn. So delicious ! The steak was cooked right but was a tougher cut and required more chewing than other filet mignon that we got. The desserts were all good and nice touches to the after dinner coffees. Overall a great experience and I plan to return.

Yelp
This place was good in regard to the food. I don't want to take anything from the Chef. Where they falter is the service. Not the gentleman who runs around filling water cups up either, that guy was awesome. Our server was the problem with our visit. He was terrible! Who asks you two minutes after you sit down if you are ready to order? Like, give people time! Also, isn't it a universal thing where at restaurants such as this caliber, when the menu is down on the table that's an indication that you are ready? Our server needed to lean to read the room. He also had kind of an attitude, I might not dress all fancy but it doesn't mean I'm a schlub... Don't treat me like one. I won't return, but if you find yourself here, at least enjoy the food.

Yelp
I made my third visit to Alder and Birch before a show. I noticed when looking at their online menu that they were serving prime rib--something I don't remember being served before as the Prime Rib Loft above specialized in that. With Covid, the Prime Rib Loft closed and it has not reopened. The menu names for the two size cuts are the same as used at the Loft and the dinner selection is the same. I was seated promptly. The table was a circular two top at the end of a banquette like area with another two top at the opposite side of the seats. I was immediately approached by a busser with water and he took my order for an iced tea. He shortly brought a bread basked with an assortment of very good bread and a round crock of soft butter. I ordered the Orleans cut prime rib, a 12 ounce piece. If you get prime rib, it comes with your choice of salad or soup of the day and a baked potato. I got the soup of the day which was cream of chicken and rice. For the baked potato, I told them to load it. When asked about how I wanted the prime rib done, I told my server that I wanted the rarest cut they had. She said she'd see what she could do. The soup was very good and she topped it off with freshly ground pepper. After a perfect amount of time, she breought my prime rib and it was super. It was rare and it was something I was looking forward to. Along with the prime rib, you are served two containers--one is creamy horseradish and the other is more horseradish if you want to make the creamy one spicier. The loaded baked potato had bacon, butter, sour cream, and chives. The entrée was just a delight!! Time for dessert and I got the crème brulée with raspberry champagne sorbet made in house. There were two fresh raspberries on the plate also. The brûlée had the perfect crisp top and the creamy interior was very good! The sorbet was a bonus. Service was excellent. I was brought a second iced tea without asking. The advice from my server was right on and I told her she had to have some influence with the kitchen to get me that rare piece of prime rib. Apparently, the Prime Rib Loft is permanently closed so Alder and Birch will be my go to spot for this dish. I just wish I could pay an upcharge and get the crab bisque instead of the soup du jour but they don't do this. I was so looking forward to the bisque. A good dinner, pleasant surroundings, and excellent service made for a fine dinner! I'll be back!

Yelp
I have been to the Orlean casino for a while now, however, I finally got to try out Alder & Birch. This steakhouse has a very nice and elegant entrance and the inside of the restaurant is also very upscale for off of the strip steakhouse. There is complimentary bread with butter that they give you while the party is looking at the menu. Our group started off with two different appetizers, the Crab Cake Lump and the Meatballs Kobe Beef. I would not get the Crab Cake Lump again since there was a bit of a unique taste to it. The sauce that comes with it wasn't that great as well. However, the Meatballs Kobe Beef was amazing. That was a definitely must-try! As for the main entrees, we got 12 oz. filet mignon. For any of the steak, you can also add "steak toppings". In addition, I decided to go with a side-dish, a side of Button Mushrooms & Sweet Onion. Unlike other steakhouses on the strip, this came in a medium-size bowl with a vast amount of mushrooms and onions. The portion was very generous. I had to share it with 4 other people at the table. I would definitely get this again, I had trouble trying to finish all of this since this was so much food. I also tried a bit of the Short Rib Boneless Beef. This was cooked perfectly and was very tender. Another must-get. For an off of the strip steakhouse, I would definitely come back here. The food was great.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying I should of known it was going to below average when all the bread we got was hard or stale. The 3 onion soups broth flavor lacked and wasn't hot at all. I genuinely think TGIF Fridays has a better French onion soup although the cheese was great. Mashed potatoes actually had a crust on parts of it like the microwave ones from the grocery store when sitting too long but when I removed it, it was warm. I circled the crusty parts, I hope it shows. The Kobe meat balls were the star of the meal. They were great! The scalloped potatoes with blue cheese were ok but the blue cheese was SO STRONG. The steaks were cooked perfect but being in grocery and a former meat manager/butcher, I can tell these aren't anything special, they were average quality. Service was good, asked if everything is ok, kept our drinks full.... until we asked for a box and we had to box it ourselves. Let me explain because I'm not a snob. When my gf and I treat ourselves to an expensive meal, it's supposed to have a level of service you don't find at your average restaurant. Putting 2 trays on my table for left overs and walking away was a major jaw dropper. I've been to some of the nicest restaurants (and even reviewed some here) and the prices are very similar but the quality of the food and service isn't comparable. As I mentioned, the steaks were good, nothing matched the cost however. I won't be returning for a $200 meal again. And side note, the plates had a tomato. I'm not sure if it was garnishment or for us to eat but mine was basically raw and hers was roasted. We left disappointed. Let me just stress, our server was nice and the steaks were good, thats as far as I can go for a positive. Pick another restaurant if you want a higher end meal.

Yelp
I like innovative plates, price fix menus and places where I can share and sample the myriad of dishes I order. Other places frown upon moving dishes around or ordering 5 items vs an entree. The interior is chic and sleek. Dark and bright where it needs to be. If you read my reviews, my dining leans on the meat protein heavy but this October price fix menu intrigued me. $45. The opener mushroom in luscious gravy held in a filo cup woke me up! The salad was sprinkled with all kinds of fruits, walnuts and a raspberry vinaigrette. The beyond meat ragu on penne pasta was tomato delicious. Perfecto! Yes, the complimentary bread opener served with butter had a wonderful selection of flavors and styles. Even a cracker parallelogram. Great service. On Open Table. Uncommon but flavorful mixed drink concoctions from their bar.

Yelp
Great dining experience. Filet, prime rib and sides were fantastic. Loved the Caesar salad with the Parmesan crisps hiding at the bottom. Great birthday dinner with our son!
