This place was so good. Due to the pandemic we were the only reservation that night nonetheless the service was exceptional. Ordered pretty much all of the tapas and the paella valenciana and the vegetarian one. Everything was really really good. 10/10 would recommend and come back here. Dessert: get the crepes and thank me later

Nice tapas restaurant. Service is good and wines are great. Portion size is not very large for its paella but flavor is good. It also serves many interesting things like frogs and rabbits.

I went here last night with my coworkers and this was the first time any of us had been at this restaurant. They treated us extremely well and were very hospitable. We had a group larger than 8 so we had the coursed meal. It was delicious!!!!!!!!! Everything was my favorite and I had wished I wore my stretchy leggings instead of jeans, so I could have ate more!!! The drinks were also amazing and high quality. The decorations and atmosphere were unique and inviting. Good place to go with groups or on a date/take visiting relatives or friends/any time. All my coworkers said they loved the restaurant and they planned on coming back.

Good food, great ambience, kind staff and a lovely dinner experience sums up our time at Alegrias. There is ample street parking, make reservations as they are short staffed and may not be able to accommodate walks in easily. We dint explore their mains because we tried many small plates. The portions are small but still good for two people to share. The flavors are all good, desserts are awesome, and the service is swift, once seated.

Our friends have been here many times and wanted to go again before moving out of SF. I don’t always love Tapas but have to agree it’s pretty good! I was especially impressed by the friendly, welcoming service and the Paella Verduras. Also good: patatas bravas, manchego flambeado, tortilla a la española, flan and bread pudding.

The best paella in SF. I studied abroad in Valencia and outside of Valencia, this is the best paella I’ve had. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. The appetizers and sangria were also terrific. A+ friendly service as well.

The food and atmosphere felt very authentic. It was as if I was transported to Spain for an evening. Home style vibes with genuine flavors. We were seated inside and in pretty close quarters with the neighboring parties, but that fit in with this homey vibe. Very pleasant experience.

If you want to feel like you’re having dinner in someone’s wonderfully decorated dining room this is the place for you. The staff is incredibly friendly and helped us pick out a couple of tapas and a paella. I would definitely recommend the croquettes. They are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Save room for their house made dessert menu! Unfortunately we only had patience to snap a couple of pictures. Overall the experience was very pleasant and we will make sure to be back soon!
