Google
Fabulous place, delicious food with quality ingredients from top to bottom. An exceptionally friendly staff who were very attentive and extremely knowledgeable about their products. Highly recommend.

Steve Shapiro

Google
Fabulous beers made by really nice people. The location is beautiful. A great place to have beers and food.

Brett Windham

Google
Love their seasonal releases! Great food and beer pairing! Family friendly brewery with award winning beers! Corn hole and bachi ball to play with beautiful grounds to explor.

Google
This may sound a little weird but I almost never post any sort of reaction to where I've been. We took the drain exit off of I-5 and drove through a bunch of awesome switchback roads and we found a place that I wasn't looking for. There were kids and their mothers and their fathers and their families there. I saw people eating good food in a place that I did not expect it.

Google
The ambiance and view at Alesong are awesome. It made for a lovely end to my wife and I's date day in the Eugene area. We stopped in for a light bite and to sample a couple of beers. Both left us wanting more. Only downfall is how far it is from civilization. Quite a drive on a winding road.

Google
The kind of place for excellent beer from a modern purveyor of the spirit. Food was decent food and you will find awesome views, bocci ball, and healthy yellow jackets outside so they suggest sitting inside end of summer/beginning of Fall. The Kale salad is 4 🌟 and the Rhino beers are excellent.

Google
What a view. Inside and out this is a beautiful location. They have very friendly and helpful staff and a great menu. I am a stout lover, however, the menu may have turned me, a little. After reading the menu, I ordered a flight. To my amazement, the Dubbel was incredible. It lived up to its description. The vanilla, of course, was amazing too. We bought a few bottles of these beauties. They also carry a small rack of gear to buy. We look forward to coming back on a warm day to enjoy it all again with the doors open. Don’t miss this brewery. Its worth the drive!

Google
Rip off. Join their beer club at your peril. Once they've got your credit card info you can't cancel your membership because these people never check their mail. And you can't cancel over the phone because you get some twit at the store telling you to email them, to which you will never get a reply. I had to report the recurring charge for their incredibly overpriced beer as fraud and change the card number to get free of them.

Yelp
Burger was delicious! Smashed potatoes were phenomenal! Buttermilk chicken sandwich was awful. It tasted fishy like it had been fried in oil that had already cooked fish. Our beertender tried to defend the fishy taste saying that it was the Caesar dressing. We have been ordering Caesar salads for our entire lives including the legendary Tom Ham's Caesar which is made with Spanish anchovies . Nothing has ever tasted that fishy! Thankfully they swapped it out for a burger which was great! The dark beers we tried were delicious but not worth the drive and hassle to find Alesong. The dark beers we had at Port Townsend Pourhouse and at home in San Diego are every bit as good.

Yelp
Alesong has always been my top choice for the best brewery, and my recent visit only solidified that opinion. It had been a while since I last stopped by, but this time, I decided to try the food truck, and it was stellar!

Michael D.

Yelp
Located right next door to King Estate Winery it's difficult to believe this wonderful treasure chest of craft ale and excellent food is in the city limits of Eugene. A half hour ride from downtown it's so very much worth the trip. Of course you can take home a few bottles of unique great tasting ale and even some delicious Pinot Gris - we did- but sitting down to sample a few ales while enjoying a grilled apple sandwich topped with prosciutto makes for a most enjoyable afternoon in a breathtaking atmosphere.

Yelp
Amazing beer. Good food. Great staff. Beautiful surroundings. Comfortable. PERFECT! Loved the outdoor space. Got the burger without a bun and it was delicious. Smashed potatoes are awesome. Dark beers are all delicious and super flavorful. Even got a tour of the barrel room. Great time!

Yelp
Alesong is another Eugene brewery that Steven and I got to get under our belt to try for the brewery scene in this lovely college town! I love coming across breweries that make their beer with delicacy and elegance. There are more breweries like this out there than you think but not to the point where they are so commonplace that there is no novelty to it when you discover such a brewery! Alesong does fits into the elegance of beer and ale drinking perfectly and was a refreshing treat to have! We had their Stonefruit Sonata which so great! It was a sour ale aged in French oak barrels with nectarines. The tart and sourness is handled expertly with the the subtle oak and earthy notes along with the citrusy tasting nectarines. Truly a fun and enjoyable ale to sit back and enjoy! There are a lot more intriguing options from Alesong that are well worth our attention after our first tasting experience and we would love to explore those in much more thoroughness! If out trying different breweries in Eugene I highly recommend this place if you want something unique and truly different from many other breweries out there!

Don L.

Yelp
The folks that work there are very nice. Their beers are fantastic as well as the food, and the setting is just absolutely amazing. The ride out there on my motorcycle is epic as well. I love the location. The only reason I gave it four stars, is because they don't let you have any tasters.

Yelp
Came across this place adventuring off the beaten path one Sunday afternoon with my girlfriend. First off I want to say that Jake gave us the most amazing service. He was extremely nice, friendly, and helpful. One of the coolest people we've ever met. He was very knowledgeable of the menu. I got the seasonal flight and my girlfriend got the sparkling Pinot and I have to say every drink was amazing. Jake walked me through my flight and made sure to check to see if we needed anything else throughout or visit. I bought a bottle of "Touch of Brett" to take home it was THAT good. The food was also really good. We got the wings which had a perfectly crispy coating and the potatoes which were delightful. Only thing I would change would be to add more of the chili topping because it was THAT good. The ambiance was also incredible. They played great music ranging from blues to soul to RnB. The front has an amazing view of the countryside and they even have activities like cornhole to play. Will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone. Who knew that randomly adventuring the countryside would lead us to such an amazing place.

Yelp
I love Alesong. From their beautiful brewery and tasting room located on the outskirts of town to their cozy tasting room at the 5th street market, they are a must visit for beer lovers. I normally go to their scenic location outside of town because I love the beautiful location. I've celebrated friends birthdays here on the one patio that offers covered seating, corn hole, giant jenga and other lawn games. I've also had cute date outings here and sat inside on a cold day. They allow you to bring your own food if you'd like but they have delicious snack boards and recently I had an amazing sandwich paired with comforting squash soup. They have food trucks that rotate too! I love doing a flight of their beer to get the full experience. They use really creative ingredients that bring such a depth of flavor to each offering. They have won many awards and for good reason! The staff is always so helpful and accommodating and they welcome all ages.

Yelp
Oh Man! You do not want to miss this fantastic brewery. Out in the Willamette Valley, this brewery resides on a beautiful piece of property. Our experience here was nothing but out of this world wonderful! When we got there, we were greeted with a "welcome pour" to start the experience. Two people in the party had the tasting flight which was amazing and comes with explanations of each beer. For those of you that cannot have beer, they also offer wine. We purchased one of the cheese plates which paired perfectly with the different beers in the flight and it was so, so good! We also got to see their barrel room and hear about the process of brewing. The customer service was the best. You do not want to miss this wonderful brewery!

Yelp
Seven of us and two small kids arrived about 1PM on Saturday. This place is about 20 miles outside Eugene and in a beautiful hillside location. This was a return visit for some of us, new visit for others. One couple,a member of their club, and a lover of their beers. We got a picnic table near the music and under an umbrella. It can rain, and it did now and then, so cover is important! They have barrel aged beers that run a bit sour and have higher alcohol content. That's not my preference but there is one lighter beer I really like. My fellow visitors were into their beer flights, and all varieties. For you non-beer lovers, there are other beverages available, like neighboring wines from King Winery. We had their excellent pizza and the Charcuterie Plate for food. Hope you plan on visiting--if not for the food and beer, at least for the amazing Oregon countryside!

Ashley L.

Yelp
Wow!!! You folks just won my award for best brewery in the Willamette Valley. Thankfully I work down in the area often cause I can't wait to pick up more. Love the barrel aged style. Love that you break the rules and don't have a flagship round.

Ilona S.

Yelp
Great things first: the view, the service, the outside picnic tables, the band that was playing, the laid-back vibe of the place, the wood fired pizza (by Marché) But: I just thought the beers were awful! Belgian style ales??? Not even close to true. I had a tasting flight with 4 different beers, from ales to Kriek to darker barrel aged beer. Unfortunately, 2 of the 4 beers were un-drinkable. The Kriek was way too tart. (Yes, I am picky growing up not 8 miles from Belgium where I drank Kriek all the time). The blueberry ale beer was so bad I had to toss it out, pure tartness and bitterness combined. The darker beer and the lightest ale were drinkable but far from delicious, too bitter, too Oak-y and just plain weird tasting. Sorry guys, better head over to Belgium for a crash course in making "Belgian Style" beers.... Too bad since I really really wanted to like this place!!

Kris M.

Yelp
Love Love Love this place!! We drove out here from Vida to go to King Estate. The winery visit was short, so we hopped next door to Alesong. So glad we did!! Stellar set up and vibe + great beer. I sincerely hope we make it back here someday soon.

Andrew G.

Yelp
An absolutely amazing place well-worth a drive out of town for anyone. There's plenty of drink options and a beautifully built setting to enjoy. There is often a food vendor on site, and they have some small snacks for sale at the bar. They have a few non-alcoholic options as well. The staff is friendly and even when busy the patio has plenty of room for groups. This place is a quintessential spot to go for a beer without the typical sports or dive bar vibes! A beautiful drive gets you to a hidden gem of the Willamette Valley!

Julia D.

Yelp
Thought I would've reviewed this by now, as I've been three times, but better now than never. Holy moly, you guys. Alesong. You like aged stuff? You like drinking in the quiet countryside? Are you also a lil peckish while liking all these things? Just...visit Alesong. It's...insane. Geez. The kriek almost brought me to tears. IS MY REVIEW TOO VAGUE? GUESS YOU'D BETTER COME HERE. IT'LL ALL MAKE SENSE SOON.

Tammy W.

Yelp
Love this brewery! If you enjoy barrel aged beers, a beautiful countryside view and yummy snacks, this is your place! Every time we come here there are new (or returning) brews to keep the excitement going. Today the hubby and I went and really enjoyed the French 75 which was delightfully citrusy and Stonefruit Symphany that had the perfect blend of peach and sour flavors. To visit their countryside location you do need to be a member (totally worth it!) or you can book a single visit where they give you a quick tour with a breakdown of the brewing process and they provide you several small pours paired with snacks/desserts, which is what we did before my husband signed up for the membership. All the brews are made with such thought and consideration which translates to complex and tantalizing flavor profiles. Staff are always super helpful if you're stuck on what to get. Very chill atmosphere.

Saoirse S.

Yelp
even on a blazing hot august afternoon, alesong was a delight. i needed an escape to sit back with a good book, a good view, and a good flight and alesong delivered. my server, cassandra, was excellent and recommended a lovely flight selection and sandwich for me. especially during covid, good outdoor spots are hard to find, and with all of the physically distanced, covered outdoor seating this place is a gem.

Robert V.

Yelp
We've been waiting for a chance to here and drink some amazing beer. The location is amazing up in the hills outside of Eugene. The building has amazing curb appeal with a huge out door patio. Beer of course is the reason we came here and it doesn't disappoint. Service was great. We will be back whenever we're in the area.

Cendy A.

Yelp
Unique flavors, great service, beautiful views. Such a fun place. We love bringing friends out, it's always a hit with guests from out of town.

Sanjay R.

Yelp
Unique, barrel-aged beers in beautiful wine country. The taster tray is the best way to sample a variety of styles. The beers pair beautifully with the charcuterie plate or my favorite--the Apple & Cheddar Sandwich.

Jasmine T.

Yelp
Probably my favorite brewery in the Eugene area. They do experimental brewing, meaning they rarely (or never) make the same thing twice--which I think is so much fun! Most of their beers have fairly low IBU's, so if you or a friend isn't keen on bitter beer this is the place for you. Still just as flavorful as a bitter IPA, though. Customer service is so friendly, they remembered us even though we had only been in one time before. They have sample sizes of their beers, so you can essentially build a flight of all the beers if you really wanted to. Located in a beautiful spot, perfect for a little getaway day date!

Kristen L.

Yelp
Was in Oregon visiting my home state and family for a few days, including some time in Eugene. One family member had been here once before and raved about it, so we took a trip out to visit. After about a 20 minute drive or so, we arrived right as they opened. The gentleman behind the bar was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. The beer was amazing - this is not regular beer. From spent botanicals from gin making, to wine grapes and acacia barrels, these guys are experimenting with flavors in an exciting way. If you're a local, sign up for their e-mail list and you can get invited to their release parties, which sound awesome (live music, new beer, a food truck, and lots of people who are into awesome beer too).

Beth S.

Yelp
Not my cup of......er......beer. The tasting flight was interesting. The staff was kind, music was very nice. But "Wine inspired Beer" just didn't do the trick for me. After the tasting, I ordered a glass of german-type beer and enjoyed the scenery. It was a pretty place though. But, just as I don't appreciate steak with caramel sauce and a cherry on top, or a short stack topped with horseradish, I'm good with beer being beer, and wine being wine. However salad and steak mixed up truly is a friend of mine. Keep doing what makes y'all happy though, it's what the free world is all about.

Karen A.

Yelp
Drove 35 minutes only to have them refuse to seat us because you now must have some short of membership. We went last summer and enjoyed it, with no membership. They referred us to their Eugene location. However, we will not be back, to either location. That's just bad business, especially in this economic climate.

Joey H.

Yelp
Solid tasting room next door to king estate winery. Just west of creswell and south of Eugene. Alot of barrel aged beers which add a complex flavor. Beer costs are more of a premium compared to most craft brews but they got some good stuff going on here.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
I went here last weekend with some friends. And I'm NOT a person who generally enjoys beer. The beer here was TASTY, DELICIOUS, and well crafted. I enjoyed the education and interaction with staff. The view is simply breathing taking. The flights of beer were hefty portions and well described. I also really enjoyed the food. I could see myself coming back here again for the same experience.

John G.

Yelp
Do not come here if you have a dog. Our group has been here multiple times (where tons of dogs were present - even during COVID) but we were recently turned away for having a puppy - in the outdoor seating area with only one other party present.

Chad R.

Yelp
When I have free time on a nice day, this is one of my favorite places to relax. The beers are unique and inventive. I especially enjoy the quarterly bottle releases for club members. Each new beer is paired with food item, and while small, they are delicious!

Beerboy M.

Yelp
Alesong is making some very good beer. Approximately 30 minute drive out of Eugene to get to this place next door to King Estate Winery, so be prepared. The drive is worth it, though. Beer geeks who live in or visit the southern end of the Willamette Valley should visit this place. We had Berliner Weiss, Oregon Honey (farmhouse ale), Saison Lorane, their Anniversary double IPA, Pinot Spontanee (wild barrel aged beer with pinot grapes), Cherry Parliament (barrel aged with cherries), Hop Farm (hoppy saison aged in barrels), and Mocha Rhino Suit (barrel aged imperial stout) on our visit, and the barrel aged half of the menu stood out. Their intent seems to be barrel aged beers, many with wild yeast or lambiic style, along with some more conventional/clean beers. Stand out beers were Cherry Parliament and Pinot Spontanee, while the Saison Lorane was a solid 3rd place. Nice place to visit, and they have some limited food along with food trucks available frequently. I believe they have plans to grow and make their tasting room more of a destination while they make wild beers here and clean beers in Eugene. We'll see how this develops.

Lanelle P.

Yelp
We loved the view, the vibe and the live music. But the beer was not great...at all! Plus they didn't have any real food, but the charcuterie was good! I love beer...but did not like any of their beer. Just not for me I guess! Maybe if you like your beer to be mixed with cider or wine?? Weird!

Jennie W.

Yelp
We tried Alesong for the first time yesterday and couldn't have been more impressed. The beers were phenomenal!! Staff was great. Beautiful setting and patio. We can't wait to go back!

Andrew S.

Yelp
Alesong is the best brewery in Oregon. I said it. Their beer is of the highest quality and they fail to make a bad beer. Their venue is warm and friendly even though it's a bit out of the way, but once you get there and taste their flights or pairings, you'll understand why I'm raving about it. I've been there 6 times and I will continue going back. Did I mention this was the best beer around? De Garde and Logsden are the closest but Alesongs creatively tops both of those breweries, in my opinion. You won't be disappointed. They have reasonable pour prices but this is high end beer, so the prices are a little higher then, say, Ninkasi or Oakshire.

Jordan D.

Yelp
A beautiful spot for a little beer tasting, the service was fantastic. The gentlemen who helped us was very knowledgeable and friendly. The beer was ok, their porters were better. Spendy for a flight of 4 beers, I wanted to just sample two of the beers to choose which I wanted a glass of but they unfortunately the only way to sample is a full flight. Nonetheless very beautiful spot and kind staff, would love to come back in the summer.

Kristina P.

Yelp
Swung by here on my way back from visiting King Estate. Unique line of beers, great hospitality and a superb cheese plate.

Monica D.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I just had our first trip out here after trying the beers for a while up in Portland and were so glad we made the trek. The beers were some of the most balanced wild ales I've ever had! The terroir series were by far the best grape based wild ales were definitely the highlight. Matthew, who greeted us with a smile, and welcomed us with a scope of beer knowledge made us feel welcomed. All around positive experience. I can't wait until we see them more in Portland!

Joel Z.

Yelp
Been a long time patron & really enjoyed their beers. Like others, didn't see that this location is closed to non-members, drove all they way out only to be turned around when there were only 4 other customers on the patio. Explaining to people the change in policy for futures visits would go much further than turning away business. Definitely lost a fan.

Hope W.

Yelp
Came here to find out you have to have a expensive membership to even sit down. It really doesn't make sense.

Jessica D.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Its a great destination any time, but we especially love heading out for their release parties. Their beers are awesome and never disappoint. They have some great snacks and food to nosh on. The charcuterie board and warmed pretzel with homemade stoneground mustard are our faves. The wood-fired pizzas from Marche on the weekends are great. We always bring visitors out so they can enjoy the scenery and a unique spin on Eugene craft beer.

Craig B.

Yelp
Have you ever noticed how hard it is to write a review of your favorites? Alesong offers incredibly unique and tasty beers in a relaxed and approachable atmosphere. Their release parties are always a good time, and if you can't make it out to their gorgeous facility, they'll send your beer to you. Enjoying their offerings has expanded my perception of what beer can be. Beers like Touch of Brett, Gin Hop Farm, French 75, Gose Añejo, and the Terroir series are memorable favorites in that category. If BA stouts are your game, then don't pass up anything from Alesong with Rhino Suit in the name. I've been enjoying their creations since they started, and every release brings a surprise. Join the fun, you won't be disappointed.

Jeff B.

Yelp
One of my friends owns this place. It took me a year to come out and check it out. I brought another friend with me and we had a great time. I'm typically not a fruity beer drinker but I am now a changed man. The beer these guys put out is incredible. My friend and I had a great time. So much, that I signed up for their beer releases. I can't wait to try them. Thanks Matt and I look foreword to all your creative beer releases.

Bee K.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Stopped by on a rainy Friday eve, the bartender was friendly and helpful. We got a sampler flight and it was killer. 100% recommend it for those who don't like traditional brews. One was light and crisp like a cider, the stout was full-bodied, the other two were equally good. We also got two Marche pizzas. As good as you expect from Marche (top notch), plus you get the great view. I brought my toddler and they were cool. Their site says "well-behaved children and dogs welcome", so if you've got a kid or dog who falls into the category of "well-behaved", you're set. If not, bring a tablet. There's also a wide open lawn that could be enjoyed on a non-rainy day. Love that these guys have moved to Lorane and we'll be back. Thanks for the pizza and ale, Alesong!

Amber D.

Yelp
I had the Touch of Brett: Galaxy and it was very tasty and well crafted. The tasting room is beautiful with a fantastic view of the hillsides. The outdoor seating was charming and welcoming! My complaint is on the size of the pour. The bartender left a good two inches of foam at the top, telling me it would settle. The result was a very small amount of beer, VERY overpriced and I left feeling disappointed.

Bradford D.

Yelp
I attended their Autumn bottle release event today. Bottles were mostly $16 with one being cheaper. The brewery is relatively new with this only being their 2nd bottle release. They aren't open to the public except on the bottle release days but I do believe they are in process of building a tap room. Really excited to see what these guys do as they specialize in barrel-aged beers.

Kirk P.

Yelp
Stopped in mid-afternoon on Friday and had an exceptional set of ales. I was a tad concerned with no other patrons, but that turned out to be a boon. When else do you have a great staff serving just your party on a sunny afternoon in Eugene? Really enjoyed several of their ales and they have a nice variety that worked for 4 people with very different tastes. To push them over the top, really good small plates to accompany the ale. Stop in, you'll enjoy your time here.

Tammra T.

Yelp
A nice alternative to the wineries. Some unique tasting beers. Something for everyone I believe. People were really nice. I heard that they have food trucks sometimes as well which would be nice. They also had some lawn games which is fun.

Caroline M.

Yelp
Great location with beautiful views! Love being able to enjoy the sun while drinking amazing beer! Definitely recommend to check out!

Andrew W.

Yelp
A very special, niche brewery. It is higher end, but never disappoints. My girlfriend and I went there last year for a nice date night. The weather was perfect for the patio seating. The view was beautiful near sunset. I have purchased their beer at places around Eugene and have nothing but good things to say. I wish the location was closer to town, but I know they team up with the winery next door often so I feel like that's not worth knocking them down a star. The beer can get you if you don't watch it so make sure to try the oven baked pizza.

Papa Polar B.

Yelp
Love this place great beer's not to mention the scenery is beautiful. Nice and cozy the employee is so nice makes you feel welcome

Sarah C.

Yelp
Alesong beer is so yummy! I don't drink much beer any more but this beer is delicious! If I could describe it in one word it would be crisp!!! Me and my husband took the Hop Bus out to Alesong for a Friday night date night. Alesong offers live music. Its kind of a far drive so we found The Hop Bus on facebook. The Hop Bus has routes and will do all the driving for you. And you can drink on the bus! Alesong was our favorite place. We went to three others that night too. You should check out Alesong!
