"Spread across various rooms, this starkly decorated bistro started life as a wine shop. There’s still a range of bottles for sale, along with a wine list that offers plenty of younger and lesser-known producers. The menu allows guests to order a few plates to share, including staples like beef tartare along with dishes that show off seasonal vegetables, be that green asparagus or golden beetroot. Look out for the signpost by the gates when arriving, as the entrance is tucked away off the main street." - Michelin Inspector

Visited Alewino while in Warsaw as a fancier night out. We chose this resto for its rave reviews and Michelin guide, and our experience met our expectations. Our server was lovely and knowledgeable, helping us with wine selections based on our preferences, and the food was delectable (particularly the oysters and beef tartare to start). When we arrived at 7, the restaurant was quiet but by the time we were leaving around 930 the rooms were full and chatty. Definitely recommend Alewino!

I recently dined at this exceptional restaurant in Warsaw, proudly listed in the Michelin Guide, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Every dish was meticulously crafted, bursting with flavor and uniquely presented. Each bite told a story, highlighting the chef’s remarkable creativity and attention to detail. The wine selection was equally impressive, offering an extensive variety to suit every palate. Whether you’re a connoisseur or just exploring, there’s something for everyone. The staff’s knowledge and recommendations made the pairing experience truly memorable. From the exquisite cuisine to the impeccable service, this place is an absolute must-visit for any food lover. I can’t wait to return!

The food is great. Everything we ordered was delicious. Unusual taste. A very large selection of interesting starters. Attentive, friendly staff. We came here as a place with a large selection of wines. But for my taste, the wine list was weak. All the wines are very simple, highly acidic, both white and red. And even all cava extra brut. Of the red wines, there are no aged, tannic ones. Even temparnillo and barolo turned out to be tannin-free. I live in Spain, I love Tempranillo, but I don’t understand how it’s possible to find so bad(( Moreover, the grape varieties chosen are technical, very simple in taste. The wine list was disappointing. By the way, it is difficult to find the entrance. There is no sign on the building. And you can only enter from the yard. There are no signs. We spent a long time looking for the entrance. Please note. If you put the address in the navigator, then the entrance to the yard is at the end of the building, you need to go through the yard and go around the building from the other side.

My experience at this restaurant was delightful. Despite its unconventional layout, characterized by corridors and rooms that may initially seem smaller than they actually are, the ambiance was cozy, particularly at the entrance. Upon our arrival at 7 p.m. on a Friday, the restaurant was relatively quiet, but it gradually filled up as the evening progressed. The service was attentive, and the menu offered intriguing options. The food was flavorful with reasonable portion sizes. Although not the cheapest, the pricing was justified given its Michelin recommendation. The restroom amenities were a pleasant surprise. Overall, it's a worthwhile dining destination.

Had a fantastic lunch here. After a number of recent tasting menu meals at some high end restaurants I was happy to just have a "normal" lunch. This was the right place for it. The starter broth was brilliant, a marriage of Polish and Asian flavors that worked so well. The main course, with a halibut at its center, was very good, again a mixture, of traditional cooking flavors with a modern construction. The desert - plums with zabaglione - was beautiful and super tasty. Price was very reasonable, service was perhaps not as closely attentive as in some fine dining locations but was good and helpful and really matches the more laid back nature of this restaurant.

Very tasty food. I was on the business dinner. Portions are not big and quite expensive. Service good.

Stunning. Out of the way a bit and unassuming entrance. Food fantastically balanced and well thought out. Great selection of wine by the glass plus 100s by the bottle. Service flawless. New favourite restaurant in Warsaw.

Excellent! The food was well crafted, well cooked, well seasoned and beautifully presented (a special mention to the delicious bread - it was honestly amazing). The service was attentive and our waitress, Agata, recommended some wine pairings which worked beautifully. Great ambiance too, with a very nice courtyard/deck right in the middle of the two indoor areas.

Yelp
We had lunch at this restaurant when it was not too crowded. Each of the dishes we ordered (Crostini, Chanterelle Mushrooms, Herbal Risotto and Halibut) had wonderful and complex flavors, included high-quality and healthful ingredients and was presented beautifully. It certainly deserves the Michelin Bib Gourmand label in my view.

Yelp
Quality of food: lovely Ambiance: nice Service: indifferent After waiting 10 minutes for the check I had to go up and wait for it. While they were accommodating to my showing up without a rez as a solo diner, I didn't feel that looked after. You'll probably do better if you're there with at least one other person.

Yelp
Ale Wino left a very pleasant mark on our restaurant experiences. Thanks to Yelp and Trip Advisor we had a chance to read other reviews only to find out that Ale Wino fulfill all the foodie needs. First of all it has very attractive setting outside to enjoy a summer weather with glass of good wine and delicious food fares. It has a wide selection of wines to satisfy everybody needs. We were nicely surprised with a very good bottle of wine from polish city of Szczecin which was very comparable to wines from around the world. We stopped for quick lunch so we took only three positions and mentioned bottle of white wine. The stuff is very friendly down there so it only increases the enjoyment of dining there. We ordered: Beef Tartare--very nice structure, almost creamy with smoked saddle and freshly grated horseradish root. Not overwhelmed by it and the portion was pretty big. Baltic Herring--we are fans of good herring and this was surely a very tasty fish, served with capers, onion and burned potato. The only thing was that to my liking the potatoes should be seasoned more intense. Zucchini flowers--stuffed with eggplant and goat cheese was a blast. All the flavors melted ideally to give this dish a very delicious and lingering taste. I wish we could try more food from Ale Wino but maybe next time :) Ale Wino zostawilo bardzo przyjemny slad na mapie naszych wizyt w restauracjach. Restauracja posiada szeroki wybor win i potrafi zadowolic kazdego. Bylismy milo zaskoczeni winem z winnicy w Szczecinie ktore dorownywalo smakiem winom sprawdzonych marek na swiecie. Zatrzymalismy sie na szybki lunch wiec zamowienie obejmowalo tylko trzy pozycje i wspomniana butelke bialego wina. Tatar--swietna structura miesa, prawie kremowa z wedzona slonina oraz swiezym chrzanem. Chrzan nie zdominowal smaku i porcja byla dosc spora. Sledz Baltycki--jestesmy fanami dobrego sledzia i ten na pewno spelnial wszelkie wymogi tej ryby. Serwowane z kaparami z bzu, cebula i palonymi ziemniakami. Jedyne male zastrzezenie do ziemniakow ktore mogly by byc mocniej przyprawione. Kwiaty cukini--nadziewane serem kozim i baklazanem byly petarda. Wszystkie smaki wymieszaly sie idealnie pozostawiajac smaczna nute smakowa. Zaluje ze nie moglismy sprawdzic wiecej pozycji od Ale Wino ale moze nastepnym rzaem? :)

Yelp
What a gem. I came here somewhat on a whim on a five-hour layover in Warsaw, and wow am I glad I did. First thing you notice is the ambiance; I was seated outside in their courtyard, which is a secluded oasis tucked away from the street. Service was friendly but relaxed. I started with a glass of wine and the herring nigiri appetizer. Prior to coming here, I was pretty unfamiliar with the cuisine of Poland and surrounds, so the herring was a fully new type of flavor for me. The presentation was beautiful, the type of dish inventive, and the flavors themselves delicious and well- balanced. My second dish, the cauliflower, was very creatively prepared and was also delicious, if unfortunately slightly on the saltier side. I ended with the scallop ceviche risotto. WOW. This is the BEST risotto I have ever had. It's hard to describe; the interplay between the flavors was unmatched - and all the ingredients were as fresh as can be. I still dream of this risotto to this day.

Yelp
Excellent Food, Excellent Wine, and Excellent Service. Seriously, thats *three* "Excellent"s, but then again, it really is that good. Tremendous attention to detail here, but in a very casual/laid-back kind of way - think "non-pretentious upscale hipster", if that even makes sense :-) The cuisine ranges from French to "new-wave polish" to, well, whatever is on the menu. Doesn't matter - just go!

Yelp
I can't thank Aga of Yelp Warsaw enough for this hidden gem! This was everything that I wanted for lunch. It actually even exceeded my expectations! Alewino is one of the best lunch addresses I've been to this year. The wine bar / restaurant is situated away from the street in a nice and bright patio. As mentioned in other reviews, the waiter is incredibly good. He suggested great wines with our dishes and was there to serve us whenever we had a request. He even called us a cab to go to the airport. The food, well, it's totally delicious. I had a risotto with artichoke, followed by the best duck I've had in years! Honestly, this is top cuisine in a nice and unpretentious environment. I can't imagine a better meal to start my holidays. Thank you Aga and the entire Alewino staff for this lovely experience.

Yelp
You know you are in the right place when you ask your waiter for the wine menu and he responds: ..."Of course, I am the walking wine menu!" ... #bigwin! Alewino just won one of the top spots in my Warsaw restaurants ranking. a) THE WINE: Oliver, our waiter, was passionate and knowledgable about the wine cellar. We started with three wines to try in our table. We tried the three and loved the third one. Even then he wanted us to try one more, which my husband happen to prefer above all (I stay with #3). Of course.. By the end of 4 trials plus another glass or two we were having a fun laugh! b) THE FOOD: perfect combination of flavors and presentation. We started with a cold appetizer of beetroot with creamed goat cheese. Followed by roasted cauliflower for me (WOW) and lamb for him. Perfection. c) THE SERVICE: excellent, excellent! Our waiter, Oliver, took care of every detail. He knew the menu and was able to recommend dishes, wines and even included Italian dessert wine on the house. What a difference when you are with someone who loves his job. He even spoke fluent English and Spanish. Yes, yes, yes!!!

Yelp
The food is below average quality and way too expensive. Staff is rude and indifferent. From start to finish not good. Very expensive.

Yelp
A very cozy spot, off a shopping street. It is located on the back of the building and one wondered if the place was actually still around. I sat outside because the day was nice and the temperature was warm. Next time I would sit inside because the designed chairs were uncomfortable. The menu was written in chalk on a sign at the entrance, all in Polish, so ask for the English menu if needed. Service was attentive and helpful. Local and seasonal, with great respect for the ingredients. A cold summer soup was excellent in the high temperature. Excellent wines, but it helps if you know what you are looking for. A tip is to go inside and have a look at their wine shelves. Recommended.

Yelp
I was taken here by some friends and genuinely blown away-a great mix of modern European and Polish food. Wine selection was also impeccable and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Seasonal produce featured heavily-highly recommended (the trout was amazing)

Yelp
Went for lunch. So my review will only be for that meal. Could be a very nice supper. However, lunch lacked choices and the meal was very small. Pricey for the dish size, but very tasty. Unfortunately was not full when I left.
