The 34 Best Restaurants in Madrid, Spain | Eater

"Cheesecake may be more associated with Basque country up north, but plenty of Madrileños like Alex Cordobés are also ecstatic about the famous dessert. After leaving his job as a physiotherapist, Cordobés began selling cheesecake to go, eventually growing his business into this namesake shop in the Salamanca neighborhood. His cakes are creamy and soft, planted on a butter cookie base and well-toasted to make the most of the Maillard reaction. Cordobés stages the treats in an exquisite store as if they were pieces of art. Must-try dish: Besides the traditional cheesecake, try the limited editions." - Paula Móvil

These cheesecakes are without a doubt the best cheesecakes you will find in Spain! I have visited the store multiple times during my last stay in Madrid and made it a priority to go back! I‘m delighted to report that the quality has remained outstanding despite the huge hype ( which they totally deserve). I‘ve tried many flavours and any of them are worth trying! A must visit for any cheesecake lover, the cheesecakes are simply delicious! Special note to the interior of the store, every detail is aesthetically presented and the staff is very friendly and professional !

I still think about these cheesecakes even weeks after returning from my trip to Madrid. The creamy flavours are so rich in the mouth, the smooth texture makes these desserts unforgettable. If you're a fan of nuts, the pistachio is really gourmet and nutty. The classic one is simple yet also uniquely crafted. For such quality tastes and careful/elegant packaging, the prices are totally fair. To say that I'm obsessed would be an understatement. (sidenote: even the small size is big enough to share for up to 5 people in my opinion).

There’s a lot of hype around these cheesecakes but when you taste them, you get it. They taste unlike any cheesecake I’ve ever had. Getting the small size is already more than enough for one person - it’s actually meant for two. Incredibly filling and just delicious. No inside seating - it’s just a store.

The best cheesecake in Madrid — and easily one of the best in all of Spain. We were lucky to avoid a long queue (maybe because of the time), but usually, people wait for hours — and honestly, it’s worth it. The cheesecake is creamy, rich in flavor, and absolutely unforgettable. Words don’t do it justice — it’s something you simply have to experience for yourself.

I found out about this place while walking by and saw a huge line of people waiting outside. Normally there is a long wait but we went on a rainy day at 2pm and was able to walk in right away. We ordered the classic and pistachio flavor. Personally I prefer the classic. It was flavorful but not too rich as pistachio. The consistency of this cheesecake was runny so not your typical cheesecake. We still thought it was delicious and would recommend trying for once despite the high price (€15 for a small) and not so friendly service.

Best cheesecake in Madrid. I can tell the raw ingredients are the best. The classic cheesecake tastes so good. Creamy, exquisite. For 14 EUR, this is good for 2-3 persons. Worth your money. The store has no seats, and you have no choice but to eat it somewhere else. There is no menu. You have to know what you want before you come here.

1000% worth the hype and wait! One of the best cheesecakes I have ever had and *wish* we had of ordered more. We waited for about 20 minutes, and were a little confused at how to order when we did get inside but my goodness - this was absolutely worth it. 100/5. It was so creamy and liquidy inside with a delicious base to the cheesecake. I have already told a number of people who have plans to go to Madrid they MUST get cheesecake from here whilst visiting. It felt a little like the scene in Friends with Rachel and Chandler fighting over the cheesecake because my mum and I were fighting for the last bite.

This small dessert spot surprised me with one of the best crème caramels I’ve ever tasted. The texture was velvety, the flavor rich with just the right amount of sweetness, and the presentation elegant yet unpretentious. It’s a perfect example of how a simple dessert can be turned into something extraordinary.
