"Tired of hearing people complain about how there’s nothing to eat in the Financial District? Send them to Alfanoose. This little Lebanese restaurant does falafel right – freshly made, light, crispy and flavorful. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

I like Alfanoose. I tried their lunch lamb kafta sandwich and it is a winner. The meat is juicy, tender and I love their seasoning and all the nice creamy Tahini sauce on top. It is one filling sandwich and it is never too crowded where you have to fight for a table. This is a great lunch place around Seaport and you could avoid tourists here for sure.

Ordered Lamb shawarma (Ticket 42 on 10/23/2015). Expectation was real lamb - hot & cut in slices like all shawarmas should be but found cold sandwich with tough meet. It was too late to return cause I opened it in office 15 minutes away. Cost $8.66.

Rude and unfriendly service. Been there two times. Both times sucked. Ordered tea and coffee, paid for it, it took them forever to make it and we had to leave because our time was up. So i left even without arguing with them. Second time went there ordered kibbeh, paid, sat and waited, then the girl said they have no more kibbeh. I was going to take my money back but didn't want to make a big deal out of it so ordered something else. The girl kept insisting twice that i take falafel i told her i don't want it. The guy who works there is very unfriendly. Acts like he is doing a huge favor for you. Pitas are cold like they are taken right out of fridge and not fresh. Will never go there again. The food is subpar. This place is NOT recommended.

Top five in New York falafel. The food is authentic -- mujaddara, kofta, and all those other words you still mangle -- and beautifully spiced. Where some cooks disguise their pedestrian fare with a douse of beige sauce, this falafel has nothing to hide, with fluffy pitas, non-greasy chickpea balls and a nice assortment of vegetables. Nice decor and really nice people too.

Lunch winner. Shish kebab platter - juicy soft flavorful lamb, chunky smoky baba ganoush, mojadara with some veggies and topped with caramelized onions, the sauces... It's a generous portion, good for two meals, but so good it's hard to stop at a half plate!

Lamb shawarma, hummus, falafel were excellent. Pita was a bit stiff (microwaved?). Overall very good, and I would go back.

The food there is great. I loved how the garlic potatoes were rich in flavor and so was the meat. I can't wait to go again, definitely looking forward for it.

Be aware that the rotating grill is fake and that your meat has been pre-cut and warmed up. The meat is tasty but tough.
