Just ate at Ali baba and wow, it was awesome! The place has a really chill vibe and smells amazing as soon as you walk in. We started with some French fries and pita – super tasty and fresh. The falafel was crispy and not dry at all. The chicken kebabs were on point, juicy and full of flavor. For dessert, we had baklava, and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Sweet and flaky, just how I like it. Service was friendly and quick, which is always a plus. Definitely planning to go back soon to try more stuff on the menu. Highly recommend if you're into Mediterranean food!

The food was great, service was good as well. We got the pastirma pide and adana kebab, both were tasty. The only thing that could be improved is seating, it’s a bit cramped and hot.

I had a cheerful experience at this restaurant today. The food is delicious, and they provide excellent service.

Had a fantastic experience here! The service is top notch! They served warm homemade bread which was a great starter. They even customized the cheese pide to add roasted vegetables to it, which was very considerate. It tasted phenomenal with their spicy dip which I would recommend. Their falafel is crispy and the wrap is great! The star of the show was definitely the kunafeh. It goes perfectly with their homemade Turkish tea!

Love this small family run restaurant. The service was quick and the server/host genuinely cared about the quality of the food we received. I got the Lamb Shish Kebab and the Iskender. The price is very fair for large portions that you get. You'll also get home made bread with your order which was soft and warm. Can't wait to come here again!

Their Kunefe is literally everything! 🫠 It’s soooo good ❤️

Food: I ordered the doner (gyro) plate, falafel, and baklava, which was enough to share between two people. Everything was delicious! The rice was cooked perfectly, the meat was tender and flavorful, the falafel was crispy and well balanced, and the baklava was flaky and not overly sweet. Our meal also came with complimentary bread. Service: There was only one person working, but he was attentive to all the tables, and the food came out quickly (10-15 minutes). Ambiance: The place is cozy without too many tables, and it has a very mom-and-pop vibe.

Google
My friend & I found the Turkish experience delightful here, with the kebab being supreme even out-competing experiences in turkey. Topped with beautiful Fresh Ayran could not get better. The Iskender wasn’t the best and we both agreed on that. The pida was quite thin and could do with more flavour, but the Adana kebab just rocked too well so no less than 5* Huge thanks to the amazing chefs working hard in the back! Visited Oct 2023, and back again when I return to Boston.

Yelp
I have never had Turkish cuisine before, but this was an amazing first experience! FOOD NOTES: The homemade bread served before dinner is amazing. It comes out nice and warm and has a very thin crispy top outer crust with a soft inside. Cheese pastry roll: I really loved the crispy outer layer and the rich cheesy feta inside! This was served with sliced tomatoes, and eating them together was awesome because the acidity of the tomato complements the rich cheese really well. Lahmajun: This is listed as "Turkish Pizza" but is more like a thin, crispy piece of bread with a meat and spice spread on top! Texture is awesome. Kunefe: This dessert has to be ordered 15 minutes prior to consumption because it takes a bit to arrive! Servers were very clear about this. Very nice crispy outside with cheese filling, the syrup is really tasty (not too sweet!). My absolute favorite dish is the sauteed eggplant! Was not expecting it to be a cold dish but it was AMAZING either way. When eating it, I was like, "man I could eat this all day." Went great paired with the bread or the rice! Restaurant is relatively small and had somewhat slow service when I went (it was later at night, around 9:30pm) which is understandable because the staff seems pretty small.

Yelp
Zaman geçiyor; kalite değişmiyor. Yalnızca tavuk veya et adana siparişlerinde; çok pişmiş isteği yapılabilir; genelde az pişmiş servis ediliyor... geriye kalan her şeyiyle ; Perfect and plus

Yelp
Happenstance had us pop into this wonderful lunch spot. Service was friendly and helpful while the kebobs were outstanding. Wife had the veg plate and since she is GF and celiac they brought her a plate of fresh cucumbers to dip in the amazing hummus etc. Turkish coffee is an added delight. Visiting from out of town and loved the surprise find.

Yelp
Have gotten takeout from here several times. I've heard everything is delicious, I've only tried a few things though. The chicken kebab is always juicy, the bread is heavenly (especially when warm and fluffy) and the babaganoush is the best I've ever had- not too acidic or oily. I love it. It's pricey, but this place is so worth it!

Dema D.

Yelp
I recently dined at Ali Baba Cafe, and it was a delightful experience. I started with the lahmacun and sautéed eggplant as appetizers, both of which were incredibly flavorful. The eggplant dish, in particular, deserves special mention for its underrated brilliance. The lahmacun was also a standout, perfectly capturing the essence of Turkish flavors. For the main course, I opted for the Doner Kabob, and it did not disappoint. The authenticity of its preparation was evident in every bite. My parents enjoyed the Iskender and Adana Kabob, and their satisfaction mirrored my own. Overall, my visit to Ali Baba Cafe was a culinary delight, reminding me why I fell in love with Turkish cuisine in the first place. If you're ever in Boston, this is a must-visit for any food enthusiast craving an authentic taste of Turkey.

Yelp
Small place (seats 10-15) with an unassuming store front, on a busy/trafficky street. Passed by so many times but never thought to come in, till I came across all the positive reviews and think I should give it a go. Walked in right around noon and found the place empty but with frequent call-ins, then few other trickled in to sit down -- seems like all locals who've been there done that. Settled with a couple spread/dip, a salad, and a mixed grill, with baklava as dessert. Lady in the store was very nice, working nonstop to handle front of house from taking orders to wiping tables down. She was attentive enough to tell us to inform her when we are done with our meal so she would then bring us the dessert. Everything on the plate was simply DELICIOUS. Flavorful spread/dip and rice, meat was tender and yum. Definitely a splurge for lunch for 2, but with the variety of proteins and portion size (had enough leftovers for both), that's actually cheaper than each of us getting a regular plate. Wished I had time to try their coffee. Maybe next visit!

Judith K.

Yelp
No ambience , no alcohol just good, interesting Turkish food served by people who can explain each perhaps unfamiliar dish to you. And the price is right

Syed K.

Yelp
Food was good. Place is small but the workers were very friendly. Try the mixed grill.

Kathy C.

Yelp
Worst food ever - not edible! My husband and I ordered take out and spent $160. It went in the trash! I called and talked to the owner and he basically said this is our food what's your problem? The hummus doesn't taste like hummus? It's chalky and not flavorful. The falafel was like 6 dry patties with no condiments or pita bread - it came with something described as tzatziki but it was this oily thing that was not edible and definitely not tzatziki The lentil soup is pureed - not a whole lentil in sight and also not edible. The table was dry and basically parsley with 5 tiny tomato pieces and some green onions - like no dressing . The cheese and spinch rolls were sweet not savory? My husbands chicken mixed grill wasn't horrible but also not great - at least he ate a little. I'm hungry and everything went into the trash. $160 for nothing. I'm starving and I just can't eat this. DONT ORDER FROM HERE!

Madow N.

Yelp
There was not much flavor to the food. Seemed like everything needed a little more seasoning. But the chicken kabobs were tender and juicy, which was nice. My friend said the falafel tasted like they were store-bought. Prices were reasonable. ~$20 for the chicken kebab plate in the picture (with humus & spicy dip). Street parking wasn't too hard to find on a Monday around noon. The place is pretty small, so it fills up fast.

Bryan A.

Yelp
This has been a delivery and takeout staple of mine for a while, so I have had an opportunity to try a number of dishes. The prices have gone way up, so I don't go here as much as I used to, but it is still good. I typically get the mixed grill or one of the other meat dishes that comes with bulgur, cabbage/lettuce, a charred pepper, a charred tomato, and bread. I usually add on lebni and hummus. The mixed grill provides pretty much every meat option they have. My favorites are the adana kebab, doner, and shish kebab. The lamb versions are my favorite but the chicken versions of the adana and shish kebabs are good, too. I love the doner from this place. Their bread is delicious. Most of the meals come with a nice big piece of it, but in the past, I've occasionally ordered an extra piece or two because it is so delicious. It reheats well. The accompaniments really round out the meal. The lightly dressed cabbage/lettuce salad adds some acidity and crunch. But, my personal favorites that really make the meal are the charred pepper and tomato. Both are nicely grilled (I sometimes wish they were even a bit more charred) and they add both heat and additional acidity. This is helpful because the base of the dish is a bulgur, which is a fairly fatty, heavy version of that grain... in a good way. So, the the little things that accompany the dish are a necessary part of the whole experience! The lebni and hummus are excellent versions! So, order yourself a plate and enjoy!

Alexandria R.

Yelp
I am a sucker for good Turkish food, especially vegetarian. I got the red lentil soup and boy do I need this in my life. It was nice, thick like potatoe soup, and creamy from the butter. They give you a lemon which skyrockets your taste buds. My partner got chicken Adana wrap and was in love. It was warm, with crisp (not wimpy) vegetables inside, and your choice of sauce. A great on the go meal. Ofc, we had to get the Kunefe! There is only one person who works as server/cashier. So, be patient with how long the order takes. Especially the Kunefe.

Roxellen A.

Yelp
Terrible food. I lived in the Persian Gulf & this food is not reflective of this cuisine...disgusting! Had to give a star but it's a zero (0)

Luke U.

Yelp
Everything was stellar. The kunefe was incredibly delicious. Come here for some amazing food.

Yelp
Huge portions and delicious food for reasonable prices! Got to check out this place recently through Uber eats. I ordered the mixed grill plate, baba ganoush, and grape leaves. The mixed grill plate ($28), as written on the menu, comes with Adana kebab, kofta kebab, lamb shish kebab, bread, bulgur wheat, and salad. However what I ended up getting included doner and chicken shish kebab too. I was worried that the meat would be dry but none of the meat was dry! Everything was seasoned well but all the different meats had their own unique flavor profile. Nothing was too salty. The salad was pretty heavy on the oil but had a lot of thinly chipped onion and parsley. Their bread was thick but soft. The bulgur wheat was cooked perfectly al dente and seasoned nicely too. There was a piece of grilled tomato and a grilled pepper. The pepper was SUPER SPICY! Beware and don't make the mistake of taking a huge bite out of it. Their baba ganoush (+$1.60 with the plate) is a must try-- it's super creamy yet smoky. If I could order a gallon of this from them I would. The grape leaves ($8) were actually very tasty but they got overshadowed by everything else I tried. The pieces were very large so there was a higher rice-to-wrapping ratio. $28 isn't necessarily cheap for one meal but it could definitely feed two to three people.

Chuan L.

Yelp
I had the adana kebap, a lamb trip soup. too bad the rice was not the turkish pilav. not sure why in the U.S. most Turkish places use this other type of rice instead. Overall the food was OK. Not in the most happening part of town. There is a decent selection of Turkish dishes, and would be glad to try again.

Yelp
my boyfriend and i absolutely love ali baba!!!! high quality and authentic cuisine made to order, if you go into the restaurant you can see the chef make your food by hand. it wasn't busy when we went so we even sat outside the restaurant and chatted with him for a bit after our meal :) they have our favorite lahmajun in the area but we also love their cheese pide, their cheese pastry roll, the adana kebab, as well as the mixed grill when we are super hungry! we order it to go all the time and it's always so quick and packaged excellently. sitting inside the restaurant is a wonderful experience as well. the chef is incredible and the other employees are quite nice. this is definitely our #1 take out spot, our "old reliable" when we aren't sure what we're in the mood for but want something we know we'll love! it's worth it and awesome to not break the bank for high quality delicious food! turkish coffee and baklava are also wonderful to finish the meal with! give it a try!!!

Robert L.

Yelp
A tiny place with unstable tables that were propped up by napkins. The spinach pies looked good and there were five of them. Unfortunately they were greasy or oily and I didn't finish them. I was so hungry I ate three but stopped as they were not well made. The Baba Ganoush was flavorless and was more like an odd tasting cottage cheese than eggplant, it had flavor at all. The donor kabob meal was mediocre. The rice had no flavor and the meat was fatty. The salad was but overly oily. You get one napkin with dinner. I asked for a water with my order and had to go up to remind the waitress. The restroom was passable. If you want Middle Eastern food try somewhere else with better food, more room and cleaner facilities. Not great at all.

Yelp
Ali Baba is a Turkish restaurant that is a bit off the beaten path at the edge of South End. So it wasn't too surprising that it was quiet during our weekend lunch visit. Since the chef wasn't scheduled to arrive till noon, their version of pizza - the pide - was out of the question, but everything else was available. So, six of us shared the following: Falafel appetizer $7 for 6 crispy flat pieces Kotfa Kebab $15 reg plate (Turkish meatballs) 4 hunks Chicken Chops $16 reg plate (chicken thighs) 3 flattened portions Lamb Shish Kebab $18 reg plate (cubes of lamb) 3 skewers Chicken Shish Kebab $16 reg plate (chunks of white meat chicken) 3 skewers +hummus $2 +babaganoush $2 (a max of two dips for $2 apiece could be added to a plate: hummus, tabulih, babaganoush, spicy vegetable dip, labni - save your bread for this) Kunefe $7 Their entrees come sized in small or regular, served with bulgur, salad and homemade bread. Ours were all regular portions, since we would be sharing, and we happened to order just enough for our appetites Everything was good, but I preferred the dark chicken over the white, and the kofte a tad over the lamb cubes. We felt the meats to be more strongly seasoned over the chicken, in a good way. The falafel was good here with a nice crisp crust. Though it would have been better with a flatbread, but still I enjoyed the two spreads we picked with ripped pieces of the homemade bread. The kunefe took 15 minutes, and was sweet, yet not overly so, with the honey water. The savory cheese was mild yet added a nice tenderness in contrast to the crisp phyllo strings. We were full, so a bite apiece was just about perfect. Service was pleasant, even though we kept interrupting her for water, for another plate, for spoons, etc. And she ran after us in the rain to return the credit card we had accidentally left behind.

Yelp
Incredible food. 10/10 for flavors as well as quality and quantity of food. Always delicious, whether dining in or taking out

Matthew C.

Yelp
Great kebab Great Turkish coffee Great service Great hummus Great bread Great great great

Sotheare K.

Yelp
I stopped by here wanting authentic Turkish food. Their lamb flat bread pizza was so good. It's looked and tasted like I've seen on those YouTube food reviews in Turkey. Highly recommend.

Boston J.

Yelp
Food is good; however, prices have doubled in the past year putting it out of range for a restaurant of its size.

Farwa S.

Yelp
Horrible ! Taste below average . Only thing good was the complementary bread. Everything was overpriced .

April Stewart S.

Yelp
I order the chicken shish kebab plate. It is very delicious. The flavor combinations are top tier. I love that the meal comes with a roasted jalapeño and tomato.

Esel S.

Yelp
Things have changed here. I used to send every person visiting Boston to this little gem. Now things have changed. I got three wraps, two salads 3 lentil soups and knafe. The soup is still fantastic and the bread is still perfect. Everything else was literally so bad it was inedible! Plus it cost $100!!! They use tortillas instead of pita. The meat was gross. The Shepard salad was a bowl of unripe tomatoes and cukes and onions. No salt or pepper or lemon or oil...zero, nothing. Sadly this place is terrible now

Wern O.

Yelp
TLDR: this place is great! Holy cow, can't believe I haven't eaten here living in the South End all these years. Got take out here on a whim on Thanksgiving of all days and it was so good. We got a bread platter with like 6 different sauces and some falafel and Turkish coffee. It was all so good. And very affordable. Can't wait to get kebabs!

Nefize T.

Yelp
I am turkish so every time I crave turkish, this is the place I order from. Their kebabs are phenomenal. Try lahmacun which is sort of like thin turkish pizza and supposed to be eaten with veggies. The iskender kebab with yogurt and tomato sauce is also another one of my favorites. The mixed kebab comes with a ton of meat. The kunefe is to die for and if you havent tried this desert with warm cheese, this is a good place to try. I always order via ubereats and went in person a few times. Definitely not great ambience, but good for take out. Recommend for turkish food to all my friends.

Mohammad M.

Yelp
Best food nice and Clean restaurant friendly people working quick services you should try out the kabobs and fresh bread to die for

Mary Z.

Yelp
came here for dessert and got the kunefe. we waited a little bit since they make it fresh. OMG this was amazing. JUST GET IT!!! the crunchy crispy outside and stringy gooey cheese on the inside. Glazed in a delicious sugary sauce. And the pistachios on top was a fine texture. Can't wait to try other dishes for dinner/lunch next time!!

Jamie W.

Yelp
Are you hungry, but it's already midnight and Boston is shutting down? No worries! Ali Baba is here for you (until 3:15 or 4:15 am, depending on the day). AND, it's food you would want to eat no matter what time it is (unlike a lot of those other late night eateries). I've had a few different things here and they've all been incredible. Fresh and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend the lamb kebab (split between two people if you get the regular size). It comes with a fresh salad, delicious bread, and a flavorful bulgur (grain kind similar to rice). There's some seating inside if you'd like to sit, or they also have relatively rapid takeout and delivery options.

Rebecca C.

Yelp
Came here on a whim on for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed! The interior is very humble and comfortable and has a homey feel. We ordered the lahmajun, kafte kabob (Turkish meatballs), and Turkish coffee. Everything was delicious! I'm not a big fan of lamb, but the lahmajun was so tasty! It had the perfect balance of flavor with the tomato and cilantro. The Turkish meatballs weren't the typical round meatballs I was expecting, but more like a patty. Nevertheless, it was delicious with the rice, cabbage, and grilled tomato that it came with. I ordered a small which came with three meatballs, and was pretty full. The Turkish coffee also tasted pretty good. Since it came in a small cup (kind of like an espresso), I was expecting to be stronger than normal coffee. The taste definitely was, but I didn't feel like it really woke me up (though maybe I was just extra sleepy on a lazy Sunday). Note that Turkish coffee comes with the coffee grounds (which in their culture, can be used to read your fortune!) Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Pam C.

Yelp
Ali baba really rocks the "hole in the wall" chic but it ends up being pretty crowded every time I come over. Seating is somewhat limited and service is very slow and scattered. I would highly suggest takeout. The food is pretty good, especially their hummus / dip platter which comes with generous heapings of all their appetizers. If you come and eat in, you get a massive basket of delicious bread - Ali Baba really excels at their baked goods including the fluffy basket of bread you get at the table. Absolutely heavenly for dipping in their dip platter. Other top picks of the menu - the cheese pastry roll and the Pide Pizzas are awesome. The Labni dip as well is creamy and sour in just the right way. They have a really extensive desert menu as well including a big selection of baklava. Rather subpar though is the dolma/grape leaves which are pretty much only grape leaves and very little of anything else. Service has been very slow every time I've gone.

Natalia F.

Yelp
I love this place! This is the 3rd time I order and every time it gets better tbh. I ordered the pizza, lentil soup, kanafeh and atayef. The pizza is superb and the lentil soup is my favorite! I absolutely recommend this place!

Tati E.

Yelp
Came to Ali Baba on a whim looking for some kabobs and hummus. I was SO happy I saw their Turkish on the menu so I was sold. My first initial reaction was wow that's a lot of food! The huge portions are great for sharing good to know for future visits. After tasting Everton my plate I was absolutely blown away by the flavors and quality of the ingredients. I especially love the rice and the pickled cabbage is such a great addition to cut the richness of the other flavors. Added bonus that they include a housemate bread that is also very delicious. The Turkish coffee was bold, rich and everything I wanted in afternoon pick me up. I will 1000% be going back!

Priscilla L.

Yelp
I really wanted to give this place a 5 star rating, but there were a few issues. I found the food was superb and tasted freshly prepared, the server was very hardworking and friendly, and the premises were very clean. I hope to come back soon. Came here for dinner on Sunday, June 27, 2021 before 8:30pm, and am writing this review the following day. I told the employee at the register that this was my first time at Ali Baba Restaurant, and wondered if I was supposed to order with her or sit down at one of the tables. She gave me a menu and indicated I should sit, which I did. Since the restaurant had many customers coming inside to pick up their orders or ordering for takeout, I did end up waiting around 15 minutes before the employee came to take my order. I felt bad for the employee as I could see she did a lot of work. There was one diner who kept changing his order and the server was very patient with him. I ordered 2 bottles of Poland Spring water and Lahmajun Turkish Pizza and the dessert Kunefe at around 8:42pm because I had read reviews that the dessert sometimes take 20+ minutes to make. I figured by the time I was done with my meal, that the Kunefe would be ready. Less than 10 minutes later, a kind-looking man (the chef?) brought out the Lahmajun. I asked him if I should get the water from the refrigerator that was in front of me. He didn't seem to understand and the waitress came over. I said that I was sorry to bother her, but should I get my own water. She brought over the water. Lahmajun: Delicious. Thin, perfectly baked crust. Tasted freshly made. 5/5. It wasn't enough for dinner, so I ordered something more. I placed an ordered for Iskender. The description: Slices of doner (gyro) mixed with tomato sauce, yogurt topped with buttered homemade bread served by itself. ($18.00) When I got the Iskender, I didn't see the homemade bread. I asked the server if bread came with the Iskender and she said the bread was under the doner, so I said thanks. However, I remained confused as the menu description said the buttered homemade bread would be topping the doner and served by itself. I couldn't finish the Iskender and asked the server for a box and bag to take home the leftovers. She brought me a box, but not a bag. I packed the leftovers into the box. The server came by and said the Kunefe would be out shortly. However, it did take 20 minutes from the time I finished my main course to get the Kunefe. The server said the Kunefe takes a while to make. I said I understand and that's why I ordered it at 8:40pm when I did the initial order and now it was past 9:30pm. The server said she could cancel the Kunefe, but that was the main reason I came to Ali Baba, so I said I would wait for it. Kunefe: Cheese, butter, kadayuf, syrup, and pistachio. (5/5). $7. Fantastic. Crunchy, flavorful, sweet, and texture heaven. One is probably enough for 2 or 3 people. I had to ask for a takeout box for the dessert, which I did along with a request for a bag. Server brought over a bag, but not a box for this no had to ask again for a box. So the bill came and despite the various service quirks, I gave her an $8 tip which is almost 23%, based on the pre-tax amount. Then I went home and was looking over the photos I took at the restaurant and noticed that Iskender is listed under Meat Dishes which are supposed to be "served with bulgur, salad and homemade bread". Maybe I'm reading the menu wrong? While I was looking over the menu photos, I noticed that the Poland Spring Water was listed as $1.25 on both the paper menu and the digital menu hanging in the restaurant, but I was charged $3 (for the 2). That's a 50 cents overcharge, but okay I understand prices probably increased and the business didn't get a chance to update all the prices. I'll let that overcharge slide. I am re-reading the menu. The "served by itself" at the end of the Iskender description perhaps refers to the Iskender is served by itself and not to the buttered homemade bread served by itself. Which means the Iskender doesn't come with the bulger, salad and bread. Perhaps this is a recent change because from reading other reviews, diners used to get the homemade bread for free when dining in. I never got the bread that I see in so many reviews. A duplicate credit card receipt wasn't provided. The original receipt was also not returned. Luckily, I took photos of the receipts and would recommend other patrons to do so in case something arises -- for any restaurant, not just this one. Overall, I thought the food was excellent and the server was overworked. The server had a positive attitude, which was appreciated. Next time, I hope we can upgrade the rating to a 5.

Neal W.

Yelp
I know there are a lot of fans out there, but average rates 3 stars in my book, and this place is just average. The Lahmajun was OK but a bit bland. The Adana kebab was really good, as was the hummus and lebni - but not worth the $2 up charge for each. The pickle plate was a bargain and quite good. No water is offered at the table - other than for $1.50 per water bottle - surprising for a restaurant with table service. 4 was bargain. The dining room is very compact, and filled up quickly near sunset (we were there during Ramadan). Bit of attitude from the waitress even though the place was near empty when we arrived.

Naeha G.

Yelp
My favorite local spot. All of the food I've had is AMAZING. The chicken chops platter is the best chicken dish I've had in Boston and the hummus/bread is a must have staple. It's open until 3am ish which is a major plus for great food after a late night out! It's a very casual "hole-in-the-wall" vibe.

Bruce K.

Yelp
Could have been five stars but they didn't include the pide in the order. We did get everything else. The wraps were both excellent and the hummus was terrific. The cheese pastry rolls? Awesome! Food was delivered close to ten minutes ahead of schedule. We reached out to Eat24 and got a credit for the pide.

Duha A.

Yelp
Really good food, the baked items are a little pricy. I would order the meat more than baked items if this is my first time. A dessert item, Kunefe or Kanafeh is a must.

Yelp
We stopped here so we could wait for our car, we initially were going to wait at Dunkin' but it has no seating. This one does have indoor dining and plenty of menu options. We ordered some appetizers and it was a tasty snack. It's a nice place for a bite and while we didn't get larger dinners I'm sure it would have been fine.

Yelp
Finally some authentic tukish good. Adana kebabs were delicious and the bread was fresh and soft served with butter. Kunefe was also great would definitely recommend this restaurant

Yelp
Delicious mixed kebabs! I enjoyed the flavors of all of the meats and also their hummus was tasty as well. It's a very small restaurant but I feel like a lot of people come when they are missing their country's home cooked food. My first time enjoying a Turkish version of this dish, it's comparable to Tarboosh in Allston. Reasonable pricing also I think my entire dish was 20ish dollars and perfect to share for two people.

Yelp
We ordered take out and the delivery did not match the order (received a single item instead of the meal). We called to report the issue and were told they wouldn't change the price, and would "maybe give us something extra next time." Take out experience was awful. Will not order again.

Yelp
I travel weekly for business, and I try to experience as many different restaurants as possible. I rarely eat, or order from the same place twice. Ali Baba is an exception! Each week I've been in Boston, I've ordered from Ali Baba. Every dish I've ordered has been excellent, particularly the baba ganoush! The lamb dishes, the chicken dishes, Kofta Kebab are all great. Just remember to order extra baba ganoush to have for leftovers. Serving sizes are generous, and they are accurate and prompt with their takeout orders. I love this place!

Yelp
We landed at Logan at midnight on Sunday and were starving. Due to COVID our hotel did not have any dining options. Therefore, we placed an order for Postmates delivery and waited an hour and fifteen minutes only to receive a notice from Postmates that no one was available to deliver our food. At this point it was 1:45 am - again, we are starving! I contacted Ali Baba and the young lady assured me that our food would be ready for pick up in 15 minutes. We picked up food for 3 but it could have feed an army. They are very generous with their potions! Everything we ordered was delicious! I would actually fly back across the country for the bread that accompanied the hummus. It was heavenly! If we lived in the Boston area, we would definitely become regulars!!

Yelp
I was in the area for the SoWa market, and I am so glad I went here instead of one of the food trucks! This hole in the wall Turkish place is homey and delicious. While there might be limited seating, the tight squeeze is worth it. I tried the red lentil soup as an appetizer. While it doesn't look like anything spectacular, it hits the spot on a cold day! The spinach pies were also flakey, and they had a great feta cheese filling. For less than $7, these are a steal. The Turkish meatballs were a bit overcooked, but the flavor was nice! The baklava was some of the best I've had with a nice flakey texture, melt in your mouth honey, and a nice chewy base.
