I went to the Alidoro at DeKalb. I made my own sandwich which was Turkey, mozzarella, Olive paste, artichokes, and arugula on whole wheat. Didn't receive whole wheat but too hungry to wait again... Very tasty and fresh. Decent size... After a few dollars tip and 16 Oz bottle of water, and tax it was $25.14. Not exactly a value meal but was fresh.

This location needs a new manager. It is consistently understaffed at lunch and orders take far too long. I've ordered pickup several times and each time it's taken an extra 15-20 minutes from the time my order is supposed to be ready to get the sandwich - typically 45-50 minutes after the order was placed. The employees are doing their best, they are working hard and fast, but they need more support to get sandwiches out at a reasonable pace. This is classic mismanagement.

On 1/23/25, I placed an order directly on the Alidoro website for 11 sandwiches at 11:17am to be picked up at 12:45pm. The order wasn’t ready until 1:15pm — it had almost 1.5 hours of lead time and was still 30 minutes late. If you have a time-sensitive meal, I highly discourage you from ordering here. Alidoro sandwiches are great, but this location failed at providing timely service.

Google
Overpriced (everything is $18+) sandwiches that are absolutely not worth the extra cost over a similar sandwich from a deli or bodega. Sad amount of meat and cheese, their sauces are unsubtle and uninspired, and the bread isn’t amazing either. No part of this sandwich makes you feel like you spent your money wisely.

The cashier was nice, the sandwich was way overpriced. Ordered the Gothamist and although the flavor was good, the amount of prosciutto was minuscule compared to the amount of bread (focaccia) which was incredibly stale and crumbly. Cookies are tasty though.

Alidoro's Dekalb Market location serves signature hot and cold sandwiches. Their Giovanni sandwich is a favorite of mine. They also serve custom sandwiches via the "Build Your Own" option. I've ordered a perfectly assembled mozzarella with herb roasted roast beef, arugula, hot spread and balsamic. I'm hoping that they add fried eggplant to the menu.

Two days ago, I went with my kids to a calm lunch that didn’t require any reservations prior. We came across Alidoro. The best lunch we had in our whole week’s vacation! I ordered the Fratelli sandwich, and it was amazing! It was a big sandwich that could even be shared, which isn’t something you can find anywhere at such a good price. The attention was very good and delivered the food very quickly. Amazing experience!

Google
My partner ordered a sandwich for pick up. We got one of the hot sandwiches called the Enzo which has hot sopressata in it. The bread was perfectly toasted and there was a good amount of meat in it. It's labeled as "very spicy" but it was the perfect amount of spiciness. It is a little pricy for $17 but it's worth it considering how hard it is to find a good Italian sandwich. Sounds like they are a bit understaffed - the sandwich was not made when my partner arrived since the order ticket got misplaced. Would definitely come back as my go-to sandwich place. I'm sure the staffing logistics will get sorted out over time since they just recently opened up.

Yelp
Alidoro specializes in Italian sandwiches, with elevated, high quality ingredients, a nod for great customer service, and clean branding and communication. This location is in the Dekalb Market Hall, the basement of City Point, and in the middle/back next to Harlem Soul, the Brazilian Petisco, and near Okey Sandwiches and Grill (Ecuadorian). I've also been to the Alidoro location in the Moyinhan Station/Post Office and the quality is just as good. Today I got the Italian Cheesesteak (herb-roasted beef, provolone, sautéed mushrooms, truffle cream, black garlic mustard) on a semolina baguette. Super tasty, and large at a foot long and three inches high. I've also had Pinocchio (prosciutto, sweet sopressata, fresh mozzarella, sweet roasted peppers, olive paste) which I also recommend. In general, sandwiches are large and excessive, well constructed, and about $16-18. If you're a light eater, a sandwich is easily two meals. This is my only complaint about Alidoro - because of the size and price point, this feels like a splurge lunch. If you're smart, you and a friend would split a sandwich for lunch!

Yelp
I had such high hopes for this place, but unfortunately I was let down. Maybe it's just this location? Workers aren't the nicest, the service is incredibly slow! For being a hot sandwich the food is cold and only the bread was warm. Should be just called a toasted bread sandwich The bread was dry and sooooo crumbly The fratelli was just okay. Nothing really had flavor, can't taste any of their sauces. The hot spread is way over powering. Like everything was bland. The Italian cheesesteak - I wouldn't call it a cheesesteak... again no flavor. Bread dry. Didn't even taste the black garlic mustard. For a hot sandwich the meat was cold. You can't even taste the cheese on there. Everything was just lacking flavor. I had high hopes, and I'm not sure if I'd be returning.

Yelp
I was assisted by Jamal today and he recommended the Gothamist which is prosciutto, burrata, lemon basil pesto, and sun dried tomato paste on a seeded hero. There are 4 types of bread to choose from. There are stools around the countertop where you can sit or take it to go. There's not a long wait for your order neither. Great service! Thanks Jamal! I look forward to returning!

Yelp
Amazing Italian sandwiches. A slightly limited menu compared to their typical locations but still high quality and delicious.

Yelp
Flavor wise, the gothamist was good but for the price, they were so skimpy on the meat. Also the foccacia bread was stale and crumbly. You can't be charging $20 for a sandwich and be using stale bread.

Yelp
I love the customer service... The line cook fantasia recommended the Italian cheesesteak and it was absolutely amazing.. I definitely had to take the other half home.. was so fulfilling...The ambiance was very nice...

Yelp
Today I went to Alidoro in Dekalb market hall. I was greeted with amazing ambiance and beautiful customer service from a lady named Tina. She helped me decide what sandwich works best for me. It was the Alidoro of course. The sandwich was so bomb.

Yelp
Been a 15 year goer of alidoro in soho and i come to the brooklyn shop for the first time. Sandwich size is half the size and the price raised to $20 for the alidoro. Come on! This is robbery at this point. Barely 8" sub sandwich when the soho one is at minimum 13". Not coming here again.

Yelp
Fantaysha was super friendly and gave quick service. I had the La Primavera sandwich and it was amazing!
