Yelp
Alidoro specializes in Italian sandwiches, with elevated, high quality ingredients, a nod for great customer service, and clean branding and communication. This location is in the Dekalb Market Hall, the basement of City Point, and in the middle/back next to Harlem Soul, the Brazilian Petisco, and near Okey Sandwiches and Grill (Ecuadorian). I've also been to the Alidoro location in the Moyinhan Station/Post Office and the quality is just as good.
Today I got the Italian Cheesesteak (herb-roasted beef, provolone, sautéed mushrooms, truffle cream, black garlic mustard) on a semolina baguette. Super tasty, and large at a foot long and three inches high.
I've also had Pinocchio (prosciutto, sweet sopressata, fresh mozzarella, sweet roasted peppers, olive paste) which I also recommend.
In general, sandwiches are large and excessive, well constructed, and about $16-18. If you're a light eater, a sandwich is easily two meals. This is my only complaint about Alidoro - because of the size and price point, this feels like a splurge lunch. If you're smart, you and a friend would split a sandwich for lunch!
