London’s Best Afro-Vegan Plant-Based Restaurants | Eater London

"New to an east London scene that is being increasingly populated by white mainstream meat-free restaurants, All Nations Vegan House looks to reclaim a Caribbean heritage in an area that is increasingly being eroded, and rows of books on Afro-Caribbean history and numerous food and cook books provide a welcoming space for community education. With the menu altering from time, the port of call here is to order a full meal consisting of “grains”, such as bulgur or lentils “stews” including an incredibly sweet and creamy chickpea curry or any thing else fully utilising an array of tropical produce like okra." - Riaz Phillips

Excellent service came in and was addressed with love and light. Both nadia & atreaka were professional. Showed me the menu and even gave me a taster. They stand out due telling what is ready right now so you do not have to wait. I Took all around the world with a seamoss drink. Honestly off the taster alone it was better than all of the foods in the area. Fresh and tasteful. If you dont eat meat this is the best ideal place for you trust me you will not regret it !!!

£17 for a main, side of sweet plantain, and a cake. The plantain was very good. The cake was pretty good but a bit dry & tasted different than expected. The mushrooms were okay but a bit oily for me. I do wish like someone else mentioned that prices were listed somewhere in the shop.

Best food I've eaten in a while, such friendly staff, great little place. Food was absolutely gorgeous, all Vegan. Shared it with my mum and it was very filling. They also provided samples as it was our first time. ☺️ Should've been £12 but they gave it to us for £8, very generous staff!

We grabbed an "around the world" bowl (a little bit of every main and grain) and holy crap it was so delicious! Every bite was so flavourful, and it was so much food, yet we didn't feel overly full afterwards (just the right amount for us, we shared one bowl for 2 people). Such good vibes too, thank you so much :) we also grabbed a slice of the blueberry banana bread which was very nice as well. You know how some hawker stalls in Singapore are on the Michelin guide? That's how good the food was. And such good value. ❤️ Yum! (We took our takeaway to the Hackney Downs Studios tables which was lovely on a nice weather day) We paid £20 for the bowl and a fiver for the cake. So worth it!

Food was so good! So fresh and delicious. £12-15 for a main including a salad. The tomato salad and the oyster mushrooms were our highlights :) Thank you!

Yooooow I saw this place on Tiktok and went there the same day. Aunty was so friendly. She blessed me with the samples and I was full. Food is great, honestly. I had a dish with multiple things and for £15 I ate for two days and fed my mum. No close to my house but will be back soon. DEFINITELY worth a visit.

Highly recommend even if you're not vegan. The food is so wholesome, diverse and has a homely feel to it. The menu changes everyday. Since this is my first time trying ANVH, I was given a small plate of sample of their mains with grains. The Butterbean curry with seasoned bulgur is a must to try. They also offer a loyalty card, and the staff is so nice to all. Will visit again, this time with my friends along.

We celebrated a friend's birthday here. The vibe was right, the food was good and we all had a great time. Not captured but I highly recommend the lentil stew as the standout from the menu for all of us
