A downtown slice institution with hand-tossed, thin-crust pies. Named New Hampshire’s best slice by Food Network in 2025, it’s a reliable late-night stop and a piece of the city’s everyday rhythm.

Great spot, walked in was greeted super friendly people very reasonable prices had two slices of pizza and a drink for about 12 bucks also got garlic knots. Really really good flavor very quick on the way out and again thanked us for stopping by. Highly recommend this the type of place you wanted to stop by.

Very good Pizza! drove from Texas and read the reviews on Alley Cat and I was not dissappointed at all. Fresh and good food, nice cheese melt on both the subs and pizzas. Closest you can get to New York style pizza in Manchester out of all the places I've tried!

Google
I’ve passed by the super charming neon sign for this restaurant for a few weeks now. So when I walked by and smelled the pizza from the street as I was walking downtown, I was very excited to try it. I was underwhelmed. The only slices they have are a build your own, and they only do bottled drinks. The pizza was mid-tier, nothing to rave about. The waffle fries were good, but I felt like $5.75 for a smallish side of Cajun waffle fries was a little much. It’s $1 for ranch. I’m not sure a staff member smiled at me the whole time I was there.

My cat approves she has been desperately trying to get pizza since we set down the box. I ended up here because Elm House of Pizza closed and I’m so glad. The pizza was delicious and the team was so wonderful even close to closing. Definitely will be back. I got the calico pizza and added ricotta 10/10

Ordered via Grubhub.com, driver arrived with a totally burnt calzone and a raw on the top, burnt on the bottom cheese pizza (which my husband ate due to starving), missing was our salad and 2 liter soda. The restaurant sent the driver to deliver the missing salad and soda, and to pick up and return the burnt calzone before they would replace it. The pictures say it all, why would you ever close a box and allow it to leave your business in that low quality state?

I just can't with this place anymore! Used to be my favorite spot for pizza. Not sure what happened to them. Always great polite staff, just pizza isn't good anymore:( 3rd time in a row it looked like this.

It was a Saturday night and I was in the mood for an old fashioned NewYork style thin crust pizza like I remember from my childhood. I tried Alley Cat pizza because my friend David told me that is how they made their pizza. They even hand throw and spin the dough to stretch it. I could tell with the first slice that they use quality cheese due to the lack of grease on the pizza. It was by far the best pizza I have had in over 50 years. Thank you Alley Cat for bringing me back to happy place of my childhood and you are now my go to pizza shop!

Google
Pizza crust was broken off when we got the pizza, s’mores pizza was completely burnt on the bottom, looks like they have ZERO effort!

Yelp
ManchVegas has plenty of pizza places...haven't tried them all but enough of them I have. Never had a unsatisfying experience, polite staff and everything is reasonably priced. Overall a solid pizza joint so check them out snd enjoy!

Mark M.

Yelp
Really good pie for a very good price. The staff were super friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. Great place for take out! Just visiting from a different state, but if I lived here would be my go to for take out.

Yelp
Tried the pizza here and it was really good fresh, hot, and full of flavor. You can tell they put effort into making it right. The crust had a nice texture, and the toppings were just right. Overall, a solid spot for a satisfying pizza

Yelp
You can't go wrong with Alley Cat Pizzeria! Its just traditional, NY style pizza with quality toppings and a flavorful sauce. The crust is great, they don't skimp on the toppings and its full of flavor. They also respect military veterans and offer a nice discount for those who serve/served. I'm not from the area, but whenever I visit Manchester, Alley Cat is always on the list! They came highly recommended by some enthusiasts I know in a popular pizza group on social media.

Yelp
Don't believe the hype and it ain't NY style pizza and the service couldn't be worse. Called in an order from the surly voice on the other end of the phone. Small pie, small sub, shouldn't be a problem but they needed 25 mins so I said no problem. I added, would you mind making the pie a little crispy? Surly voice, "no problem" Arrived, walked in, no greeting from the three big dudes that looked liked they hated being there. One looked up and said "Yea"? I said, yea, I ordered a small pizza crispy crust and a small Italian sub. Response, "Yea, that'll be like 20 minutes. My reply, "but I called it in about 30 minutes ago". Surly guy, "yea, will put it right in". So I figured, what the hell, I'll wait. Got the order, no thank you, no apology for forgetting my order, and no acknowledgement whatsoever that a customer has been gracious and patient beyond reason. Went home, pizza was undercooked, cheese was sloppily applied and the pie was barely sliced. The sub was fine. There are plenty of other options and I recommend choosing any of them. I'm certainly not going back. Hey surly guys, your pizza sucks.

Yelp
Cheese calzone with ricotta and pepperoni was amazing! So delicious at every time I have requested

Yelp
We moved to Manchester NH in November of 2004. Our kitchen was in boxes, we had an eleven month old baby at the time, and I couldn't find most of my cookware. We discovered Alley Cat that night and have been loyal customers ever since. We may not buy a pie every week, but when we do it MUST be from Alley Cat. We love the crust, ample toppings, fast crew, and reasonable pricing. We've never eaten in the shop but it is always clean when we pick up! The staff are all wearing caps and aprons. Everything smells wonderful! We LOVE the white cat and the plain old regular cheese pizza!! Alley Cat! Alley Cat! Alley Cat!!!

Shawn D.

Yelp
First and last time new to new Hampshire and thought id try the pizza places around me and this definitely doesnt live up to the slogan of best pizza in Manchester unfortunately due to my first experience with this place i will not return but hope they listen to my feed back and buck up. Very disappointed

Dave R.

Yelp
NYC style pizza exists in Manchester...right here. Great guys working the counter. Friendly. Amazing affordable pizza by the slice specials. I'm a pizza snob and they get the sauce to cheese ratio correct, plus the dough tastes fresh.

Yelp
Great service. Mon. And Tues 16 inch Cheese $9.99. Great people with Great Attitudes. Thank you. Louie

Yelp
I've been here a few times, one of my friends heard about the place from a local resident in Manchester and it's not too far from the Arena we go to for Hockey games. We were able to pick 3 different toppings for the pizza and it all went well together, the service was fast, the food was good. Not much room for seating so we brought it home and reheated it some and it was very good.

Yelp
We ordered tonight because everyone says they love it. I ordered online went and waited they told me 8 minutes go outside come back and it wasnt in the oven. We got home and one pizza was burnt and the hamburger tasted weird and the other was not cooked enough and the bottom of the crust was grainy felt like dust coming off. we went to eat the S'more's and I took one bite and couldn't even bite the dough it was so tough and the graham crackers were stale. Very disappointing!!

Christina S.

Yelp
Sorry guys!! Love and support your business, have for years. Check how many times we have ordered and always treat your drivers well. Tonight , not so much. Understand you are busy but if it gets to be too much, shut the orders off for a bit. Pizzas delivered cold, fries and tenders the same. Your business will never suffer with this review and I sincerely hope it does not. We will try another place however. Not the first time in the last several months this has happened. Best of luck though.

Yelp
Got a XXL pizza from Here tonight. Half cheese, Half chicken parm. The Half cheese was okay. The Half "chicken parm" was well, a joke... Positive is their pizza sauce, very fresh and very tasty, but for what this place claims itself to be? I suppose I had high expectations. Not sure what I was thinking. Circling back to the Half chicken parm, that was one of the sorriest excuses for a pizza topping I may ever seen. In summary, given what I paid for this XXL pie, close to $25, can't say I'd have any reason to come back here.

Yelp
Today I went to Ally Cat pizzeria and was highly disappointed. We ordered our food at 5:00pm and have been patiently waiting for an hour and a half and still no sign of any pizza. We ordered 2 large pizzas, 1 cheese and 1 half mushroom half cheese, which take no longer than 16 minutes at most to cook. More and more people kept coming in and the people who came in later than me received there orders first. Not to mention the inside was very hot and not a lot of seating options. Finally after 2 hours of waiting we wanted to get a refund and soon found out the order was out under the wrong name. It was also the wrong order. Very unprofessional. Was very disappointed by this experience and hope to never experience any service like this again. I would highly recommend reading this review before purchasing.

Yelp
Oh Alley Cat how I love you...let me explain I am a Ex-New Yorker that prefers thin crusted pizza and found AC about five years ago and have been enjoying it ever since. We are usually a basic cheese/Pepperoni people and it's get a 9 out of ten. Ten would be achieved if it was more eat in. The White pie is not to shabby either.
google avatar

Sam O.

Yelp
Alley Cat makes a good thin crust pizza. Nice crisp crust, tasty sauce and cheese and good topping distribution. Definitely worth checking out. Cool neon sign too.
google avatar

Dennis L.

Yelp
Pizza was okay but not worth $15 for a large plain cheese. I'll stick with Season's Tickets, costs less and has more cheese.
google avatar

Jody L.

Yelp
Always hot and delicious fast delivery. Must try the xxl extra cheese pepperoni pizza oh my if you like folding your pizza and just pure cheesy goodness this is the pizza .

Tom R.

Yelp
I eat at Alley Cat pizzeria at least twice a week. It is the best pizza in the city by far. I've lived in NYC, and Ally Cat is the real deal. They have really fresh ingredients and tasty sausage. I recommend getting your pie crispy.
google avatar

Vanessa E.

Yelp
Great pizza! Got takeout, which was delivered really quickly (35 minutes). The pizza was great, a little more expensive than the usual but completely worth it. The ingredients are of great quality and the amount of pizza was plentiful. Thinner crust than usual but very tasty. I am a fan!
google avatar

Sara A.

Yelp
My favorite! I grew up in NY pizzerias and this is the closest to being one. Plus, they serve slices!!!

Daniel C.

Yelp
l will eat from a place, then read the negative reviews to see what people think. Having read the reviiews of Alley Cat, l can safley say l have never experienced any of the the problems people state. The food is always good and hot. i go and pick it up myself because l am out of the delivery raande. The staff is always friendly and l have never gotten my order wrong. Kind of makes me wonder.

Yelp
Nothing else in New England comes close to this. As close to a real NY pie you can find outside of NYC.
google avatar

Christa H.

Yelp
Went in with a friend and it was ok. Service was prompt. Wish there was more cheese. We were treated weirdly. Wanted this place to be better.
google avatar

Jay B.

Yelp
First time trying this pizza joint. Ordered delivery and it was delivered within the hour. I got the loaded cat pizza and meatball sub. The pizza was ok but it was smashed a bit. The veggies seemed to be tossed onto an already baked pizza bcuz they slid off every slice once you picked one up. Raw veggies were a bit of a turn off. The meatball sub was hot but lacked any real flavor. Not much else to say about that. I think what we ordered may have been a miss so we will likely try this place again. It was not bad pizza, just not a very good one. Happy Hunting Yelpers!
google avatar

Yelp
Good Pizza. Had the 2 slice lunch special which is why I gave four stars. I'll update if I ever end up ordering

Matthew P.

Yelp
Totally ignorant staff. Unfriendly. Ask him to make the order three times. He's got his iPhone in his head or whatever brings up the order wrong so I get the wrong food rude as could be Pizza undercooked with the wrong ingredients what up shit hole that place is turned into. Don't waste your time or your money! They are the worst !!!!!!!!!
google avatar

Jennifer E.

Yelp
Ordered a double cheese pizza and the cheese was hard and didn't see any extra cheese added. First time and last time buying pizza from here. Pizza was bland, cheese had no flavor and texture didn't feel.
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
By far the best pizza in NH. Staff is THE BEST! I'm on the Alley Cat meal plan. My favorite is the 20" pepperoni and extra cheese well done Tell them DanDan sent you

Tim C.

Yelp
What can I say. It's the best pizza I've eaten in Manchester, NH. It's a small joint with a couple tables.

David W.

Yelp
Never fail option...once again the crew at Alley masterfully crafted what I consider the closest thing to pizza perfection...After a full day of college campus tours the body screamed feed me...to which I replied pizza...
google avatar

Lillianna R.

Yelp
This pizza is worth the drive! I'm from the other side of town and usually just order dominos, but I was impressed with the pizza from Alley Cat! The toppings were fresh and I received my pizza piping hot. The store is clean and it seems like they're doing a good job with covid protocol. I will definitely be ordering from Alleycat again!

Jarvis T.

Yelp
Overpriced Ragu sauce undercooked pizza. Sadly, I've had better frozen pizza. Bland and non-descript would be compliments. I wish it were not so; I don't generally leave reviews but am fed up with subpar food being advertised as good. $20 for a large cheese that hardly identifies as exceptional cardboard! Spend your $$$ elsewhere. Hell, have Ragu night at home and save $17. The price of a struggle meal and tastes better!

R H.

Yelp
Best pizza I've ever eaten. The hotel recommended this place and I'm glad they did. It's a small, unassuming shop, mainly doing a take out business, but there are three tables in the window. They were total professionals at taking orders and creating pizza. Very quick service. I will definitely be back when I return to town.

Yelp
"Voted best pizza in NH 13 years running!" I believe it...but then again I've only been living in Manchester for 1 month. The main reason why I gave Alley Cat Pizzeria a try was because they stuck some coupons in my mailbox...and who doesn't love good discounted pizza? If you're in Manchester and you're craving some good ol hand-tossed, thin crust, New York style pizza where you can fold the slices in half to eat then look no further. I ordered the large 16" pizza in order to use their $2 off coupon and it was SO worth it. The pizza was HUGE so I'm afraid to see what their XXL 20" looks like...a large is enough to feed 4 people. "Home of Manchester, New Hampshire's largest pizza" - YEP! I added sausage and mushrooms (my two favorite toppings!) - the sausages here are flat, huge and tasty and the mushrooms were fresh. The overall pizza has a really great bake to it and the crust is delicious. It IS a little saucy though as I had tomato sauce dripping down into my plate with every other bite. The cheese is great. Delivery was quick (I received my pizza within 30 minutes) and free (I think?)! But keep in mind I live 0.3 miles from this place so delivery times will definitely vary. They give you a pretty accurate estimate of when to expect it though when you call-in your order. The only thing I wish they had was an online-ordering system because it was painful to place my order via telephone.
google avatar

Ray S.

Yelp
I asked for a large chicken salad sub with extra mayo. Sadly there was no mayo and just this pile of mushed chicken. I would have liked lettuce and tomato, they never asked, I guess I will never assume that it will happen automatically.
google avatar

Yelp
Good thin crust pizza, especially the XX-Large 20" pizzas. The pizza dough is hand stretched into a 20" pie. The crust towards the center of the pizza can be soggy and greasy from the sauce, cheese & toppings like a NY style pizza, but the overall taste is pretty good. Alley Cat offers pizza by the slice or whole pie, salads, subs, Italian calzones (with ricotta), S'mores Pizza, and lunch specials. Alley Cat is geared more towards delivery and takeout. Inside the small space, there is an order counter and four small tables & seats for dining in (or waiting) and a cooler with Coca Cola bottled beverages.

Richard F.

Yelp
Great pizza, but a dishonest business. I ordered pizza on 07/13/23, and was told it would be $51. and change. I called back a bit later, as I thought the price was high. The guy gave me a breakdown of the cost, and then said that it was $48. and change since I was paying cash. He knew from the start that I was paying cash when he asked me on the first call. When the pizza arrived, that guy said it's $ 51. and change. I then told him,no, it's not. He then came up with $48. and change instantly!!! So from start to finish, they"re out to screw you. BE VERY AWARE OF THEIR DISHONESTY
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
We have had Alley Cat for years. My last few reviews are from where I live now and Alley Cat always delivered. Today we tried to order and were told since we are 3.5 miles they only deliver within 3 miles. When did that change? BTW we tip 20% and have always voted AC number 1. Well now I'm hungry and been let down by my favorite pizza place.

Jack M.

Yelp
Always great pizza. My only complaint is that when I ask for "well done" why do I have to put it in the oven when I get home. Well done=crispy and brown around the edge.
google avatar

Deborah M.

Yelp
Horrible, horrible service on a WEDNESDAY NIGHT!! The pizza took OVER an hour to be delivered, when I called for status, man was rude. Then when pizza finally came it was cold & thrown together. Won't ever order from here again!
google avatar

Nick W.

Yelp
Ok, when it comes to pizza we all our different likes; some like deep dish, others like thin crispy crust, while other like flat bread style, so take this review for what it's worth. For me, I love the New York, thin crust that you fold over to eat...this is that place! For me The Alley Cat is my absolute favorite in the city of Manchester. Tonight I had one of my favorites...Hamburger and hots! What makes this one a bit special compare to others when you order "hots" is that the "hots" in this pizza is crust red pepper relish! Damn straight, it's absolutely banging! The place is really for take-out, as it's a little whole in the wall on Chestnut Street, but if you are a NY style pizza lover you can't go wrong here. In Manchester its actually quite unique as well, as most pizza joints in Manchester are the Greek style, in which you taste one you've taste all, but Alley Cat is special!! Try it!!
google avatar

Sue B.

Yelp
If I based this on just the pizza and staff friendliness and cost, my rating would be: 4 stars Pros: pizza was tasty and had a nice thin crust (we did get the extra large so that the crust was stretched thin) Staff was friendly. Prices were reasonable. Cons: I always look behind the counter to see what staff is wearing and how clean things look (surfaces/floors). I would like to see the staff with aprons, hairnets/hats and the place needs a deep scrubbing. A minor interior facelift inside would help as well (fresh paint, ceiling tiles.)

RJ S.

Yelp
Good New York style pizza. Really good. Thin crisp crust, sauce a touch sweet. I'm was in Manchester from NJ and found this gem. Hit the spot for a quick 2 slices of plain and a soda. I was full but couldn't stop eating the last piece it was so good. It's just pizza joint BUT 5 stars for being great at that. Well done Alley cat!!

Jan A.

Yelp
The first time I tried Alley Cat, it was in my mind one of the best, if not the best, pizzerias in NH (I eat A LOT of pizza). Looks like that first time 5 Star Review was very short lived and I felt I needed to review again over time. Unfortunately, thought that it was the best started and ended with that first try. The following 3-4 visits the pizza was very dry, barely enough cheese, and pizzeria was dirty - looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week - sorry but appearance in this case counts. I like to know my food is made in a clean environment. During one visit I ordered a small plain pizza to go but was told it would be an hour wait - yes, I left without the pizza. An hour wait is absurd. Other couple of times no slices available at all, and when they were, completely dry and looked like they have been sitting there an entire day. The staff has been ok, not too friendly but also not rude. Maybe I'll try this place one more time, maybe.

Marcia H.

Yelp
Sorry to say one of the saddest veggie pizzas I have ever had. Hardly any veggies on it at all and the crust was so thin it was limp. We also ordered salad and that was even worse. Lettuce seemed days old with only a few very thinly sliced tomatoes, no cucumbers ,only a few stringy onions sliced way too thin, and way too many black olives just dumped on the top along with a huge handful of mushrooms that were starting to turn Bad. Not impressed at all.

Chris C.

Yelp
Great pizza and fresh tasting! Well done! I had seen Alley Cat was rated one of the best pizzas in NH and they did not disappoint.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Loved my experience here ~ Tried this place on a whim, seemed like good NY Italian style from the pics on yelp and looked good. We ordered a large one night andddddd yup the pics were accurate- NY style & extra cheese was perfect. love this place! Will return!
