"Allez Cafe's food menu is just a few pastries and one breakfast sandwich. But everything at this small cafe is excellent. The baked goods are well-made and interesting, from fluffy donuts filled with corn-flavored cream to an earl gray cruller with candied rose petals. And the breakfast sandwich is a must-order—a delicious combination of flavors from bacon, egg, gouda, and a hashbrown, plus ramp aioli and a sweet and spicy jalapeño jam. "The breakfast sandwich is the only savory item at Allez Cafe in Bucktown (everything else is sweet pastries). And as the sole representative of Team Savory, it has a ton of responsibility. But it doesn’t crack under pressure. "In Bucktown, the lines are out the door on weekends at Allez Cafe, the restaurant attached to Ambrosia Foods, a caterer. Allez has a few tables and chairs so customers can try the breakfast sandwich (Martin’s potato roll, hashbrown cake, thick-cut bacon glazed in jalapeño jam, steamed egg, and aioli).
