Best Ice Cream and Frozen Desserts in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"Inspired by a revelatory gelato experience the owners had in Capri, Allora draws inspiration from Italy and beyond. Think Mexican coffee, Greek yogurt, and Croatian fig and honey. Allora uses carefully selected local and global ingredients to craft its standard flavors, releasing a new one each month. The gelato hits with freshness, intensity and ultra-creaminess. Other core flavors include rosemary olive oil and mint cookies and cream. In a rare Arizona find, Allora makes almond and pistachio granita, which gives cannoli filling flavor with crowns of whipped ricotta." - Chris Malloy

Google
We heard about this place and decided to give it a try. We got two scoops in a cup first, and when we got them, they were pretty small scoops, but it was soo good that we wanted a cone!! I'm typically not a waffle cone fan, but the cones are absolutely amazing!! It is so light and crispy with excellent flavor! And the Gelato is hands down the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back again. I absolutely loved it.

Google
So glad we found this gelato place! Tried strawberry dolce, dark chocolate, pistachio, and chocolate brownie. Every thing was delicious, full of flavor, and not too sweet. The waffle cones are great too, they are made fresh in store and so light and crisp. Will definitely be back to try their other flavors.

This is, without a doubt, the best gelato I’ve had outside of Italy — and easily the closest to the real thing. The texture is perfectly smooth and creamy, and the flavors are incredibly well-balanced and authentic. Every scoop reminds me of the gelaterias I visited in Italy, which is no small compliment. The selection ranges from traditional favorites like pistachio and hazelnut to unique seasonal offerings, all made with top-quality ingredients. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. Whether you’re craving something sweet after dinner or just want to treat yourself, this place is a gem. I will keep coming back. Five stars!

Google
What a great authentic gelato spot! It's a little hidden but worth the find. When you walk in, head straight to the iPad kiosks to pay first by selecting your serving size and preferred method (cone or cup). Don't worry about choosing your flavor yet, they have handy menu cards with all the descriptions, so you can browse before you get to the counter. When it's your turn, you can try up to 3 flavors before making your final decision. Just let them know what you paid for and what flavor you want. They have some truly unique flavors. I'm a classic strawberry lover - so strawberry dolce was an easy choice. It did not disappoint. My husband and mom went with the chocolate brownie, which they loved - especially the little brownie chunks. My dad was a big fan of the bourbon salted caramel. The staff was incredibly friendly and the shop was very aesthetic. There's also a decent sized patio area where you can sit and enjoy your sweet treat. Would definitely go back and try more flavors!

Google
Great gelato, all made in-house. Tons of good flavors, I had the bourbon caramel and hazelnut and orange zest, delicious ! The house made cones are super good! Staff was very friendly and place is clean ! There's always a line outside, but it's worth the wait !

Finally found it—the artisan gelato Scottsdale was missing. After searching high and low for something truly high-quality (not just sweet and forgettable), we landed at Allora, and I genuinely can’t stop thinking about it. We tried the Olive Oil & Rosemary—subtle, savory, and deeply sophisticated—and the Mesquite Honey Lavender, which was floral, earthy, and wrapped in just the right hint of smokiness. But then came the Pistachio and Chocolate Brownie—and OMG. The pistachio actually tastes like roasted nuts, rich and smooth, not that fake almondy stuff you get elsewhere. And the chocolate brownie? It’s bold, fudgy, with real depth—like someone melted a perfect brownie and spun it into velvet. Every flavor had layers. Nothing flat, nothing cloying. Just complexity, balance, and pure joy. Even the sweetness is perfectly restrained so the ingredients shine. The shop itself is classy and intentional, like everything has been thought through—from the flavors to the atmosphere. It’s not just dessert. It’s an experience. If you care about taste and are tired of boring, sugary scoop, this is your place!

Google
Really good gelato. It’s smooth and and creamy. You order on the iPad and then your app to try the flavors and choose what you want. All the flavors are good. My top that I tried is the yogurt, salted bourbon & the ricotta one.

Google
We stopped by Allora Gelato to see what all of the Insta hype was all about and were seriously impressed. I tried the Coconut Almond and Hazelnut flavors, and both were incredible. The coconut almond was creamy and tropical with just the right crunch of almond and the hazelnut was smooth, rich, and perfectly nutty. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and it is made authentically. Friendly staff, great vibe, and flavors that hit the mark. I’ll definitely be back to try more! Keep in mind, the place is usually busy !

Yelp
This place was crowded at 7:20-7:30 on a Friday night in the July summer! My dad and I walked in and there were two parties ahead of us... we order on the iPad (two iPads, you order then they have your name to know what you ordered, pretty smart! No cash). And we turn around and there's five more parties behind us... and they just kept on coming! It's a small store with all seating outside (and outside it's limited seating) so it was a lot. There were two team members serving the ice cream - I think one is the owner - it takes a good few minutes per person to get the order served, which is nice because you get to try the flavors and don't feel rushed and the owner expertly put my ice cream in my ice cream cone - but it just means if there's a line then you're going to wait for a while. We tried the salted bourbon caramel and strawberry dolce - both delicious. I got the strawberry (seasonal) and ricotta and fig (always there) with a gf cone and my dad got the strawberry and pistachio on a gf cone. He thought the pistachio was almost too salty!! This is maybe the only place with fresh gluten free cones so that's SO NICE!! It was so good. We didn't get the wafer because it's not gluten free / some can tolerate but we played it safe. It was $10 per person for two scoops and a cone, which is expensive. But it's very high quality so once in a while won't break the bank. The store smells so good with the waffle cones going. Love to see the rotational flavors and good business!

Yelp
Once again an outstanding experience. I tried the cold brew with bourbon salted caramel gelato. It was incredible. Nice and thoughtful service you can tell there is such pride in what they serve!

Yelp
This is the best gelato I've had IN MY LIFE. I'm not even kidding. I've been all around Italy and the flavors here are so strong and tasty. I ordered the hazelnut and orange and the Mexican coffee. The hazelnut and orange was super good, and the Mexican coffee had cinnamon in it which was unique. They have a ton of amazing flavors and let you sample them. I also loved the waffle cone it came in - the texture and flavor was amazing. I didn't realize waffle cones could taste that good! The staff was friendly and were very attentive to the presentation of the gelato and overall service. I'll definitely be coming back here! There is a parking lot and outdoor seating.

Yelp
Allora was recommended to me during my brief visit to Phoenix because of my love for gelato from various international gelaterias. The ordering process is simple with the tablets upon walking in. You're welcomed up to the counter by your name for a more personalized experience & to try flavors before being served the artfully crafted bowl of decadence. Let me start by saying Allora does not just serve gelato... they far exceed any gelato I've ever tasted! I went in with one flavor in mind but after tasting a couple, I very quickly realized the mistake I made by only choosing a one flavor dish. Every flavor offered is on point, using high quality ingredients so the experience is well above average. It was actually difficult to choose just one for my dish because every flavor was so thoughtfully & flavorfully crafted. I ended up choosing the mesquite honey lavender because I love lavender and it was such a unique flavor combination that I just don't find anywhere else. It was definitely lavender, with a touch of sweetness from the honey and perfectly light for a hot Arizona summer day. I also tasted the bourbon salted caramel, which had a complexity I never expected from a gelato. The hazelnut orange zest tastes exactly like the orange chocolate candy balls you can find around the holidays. Do yourself a favor and get the two flavor dish to start because choosing just one flavor leaves one with regret for not getting (at least) two of the phenomenal flavors offered here. The only thing that could make Allora a better place is if they could ship across the country because I cannot wait until my trip to Phoenix!

Yelp
Finally had a chance to try Allora gelato and it was delicious! It is tucked away in a plaza with plenty of parking. The staff was really friendly and welcoming and allowed us to try a few flavors. I got the chocolate brownie and it was so good!! The perfect level of rich chocolate with brownie pieces. They rotate a new flavor about every month and there's vegan options that are water based instead of dairy. The portions are generous and there's a cute little courtyard outside with some seating, if the weather is nice.

Yelp
If you're looking for some great Gelato in town, look no further than Allora in Scottsdale. An absolute gem, that serves delicious, creamy Gelato - perfect to beat the heat. The place can get busy, so be ready to wait. The flavors are so refreshing and fresh, that you feel like you're in Italy. The Gelato is genuinely amazing. The Hazelnut and Orange Zest and the lemon zest ones were my favorites. Don't miss this place. An absolute must try!

Yelp
I love gelato! I met some friends here on a late Sunday afternoon and there were a few folks in line. It's a small but inviting shop and the staff were handing out stickers to the kiddos, very sweet. There are two iPads for ordering near the entrance which I hadn't seen before at a dessert shop. I thought I had to choose which flavors I wanted, but you just choose the menu item you want (1-2 scoops, cup vs cone, etc). Then, when it's your turn in line, you can sample up to 3 flavors to see what you want. I tried the mesquite honey chamomile, lemon lavender sorbet, and lemon basil. The mesquite honey was just okay for me, the lemon lavender was delicious, and the lemon basil was tame compared to its lemon sister. A light hint of basil and creamier than the sorbet. I knew I was going to get the vegan dark chocolate and I chose the lemon lavender sorbet to accompany it. It was a lovely combo: the light, refreshing flavors of the sorbet next to the rich, creamy dark chocolate. The lavender flavor was on the strong side but I liked it. I got these scoops in a cone and a little wafer, which I used to sample my friend's flavors, and the cone was tasty and gluten-free btw. I just happened to get the two vegan flavors and I really enjoyed them; in fact, I prefer them at gelato shops. I wanted to try the mexican coffee and hazelnut & orange zest, but they were both out that day. I hope to return and try some more flavors. Thanks, Allora Gelato!

Yelp
Thank you social media for adding a video to my feed. This is a must stop! We did have a hard time spotting this front door but it's right near the courtyard tucked in a "corner." As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and offered instructions. First step is self ordering at one of the screens, then sampling the flavors. Sampling was my favorite part because you never felt rushed. The staff are friendly, talkative and there to help. Daisy was well behaved while sampling and ordering, so she was in and out easily. Inside and out is so cute! There weren't any chairs set up inside and there wasn't a lot outside but if you find a spot, it is the cutest place to enjoy your treat.

Yelp
My only regret is not knowing about this spot sooner. Absolutely insanely delicious. We have been all over Italy and this gelato is better than some spots we have had over there. It's that good. We got two pints to go - bourbon salted caramel is our FAV. It's a little pricy but that's because the quality matches - $7~ for one scoop $9~ for two scoops, $15 for a pint. Everyone who worked there was friendly and welcoming. Small spot so go during non busy hours! We will be back!!

Yelp
Great gelato! I visited this shop after a trip to Italy and was trying to scratch the gelato itch. I tried their ricotta and fig flavor. Everything was so Fresh and creamy! Exactly how it should be. Very well balanced. I loved the topping of cream too. A nice touch!
google avatar

Yelp
Pro-tip: You buy first at the self order kiosk, then you can sample and choose your flavors. You are allowed to sample. Highlights: The gelato is really impeccable and the flavors are so smooth and delicious. I would definitely go again and recommend it to gelato lovers. It rivals gelato that I've had in Italy. It's also great service and they are so patient with the sampling. Lowlights: Not a huge deal but personally, I don't like having to choose the size of my order before getting to sample the ice cream, like if I tasted it and it was great, I probably want to order more or vice versa but they make you buy what you're getting first.

Yelp
The gelato here is delicious! This cute little gelato spot is tucked in a corner next to a smoothie/tea bar and Phoenix Children's Urgent Care off of Shea. The space inside is tight but the line moves along quick. When you walk in, place your order on the tablets to the right and wait in line to get to the counter. At the counter, you'll get to try some samples and make your selection. The flavors are unique and perfectly balanced. The gelato is creamy and so well made. There's a small courtyard right outside where you can enjoy your gelato.

Yelp
Finally happy to visit here after they opened 3 months ago and it did not disappoint at all. My gf and I wanted to give our highest praise to Alex as she was amazing! Love the great service she provided and gave us a warm welcome in having us sample all the flavors making us wanting to back to try more. The Mexican coffee and strawberry were so tasty. This is definitely going to be a usual stop. Hope to see them in the lower east valley some day! The store itself is aesthetically pleasing day and night. This is an easy 5 stars thanks to Alex!

Yelp
If you've traveled to Europe you know the gelato spots with the covered tins are legit! This is some of the best gelato I've ever had, and the line out the door spoke for itself. You order your size (single or double scoop) and then are encouraged to sample as many flavors as you like. They have tons of amazing flavors to choose from, and each month they swap out one of the flavors for a new one. My husband ordered the bourbon salted caramel & chocolate brownie, and I went for the OG Greek yogurt. Both were incredible.
google avatar

Anna H.

Yelp
OH MY GOODNESS!! This spot is a MUST TRY!! Walking in a true culinary experience for gelato's! Love the interior, cute small kitchen feel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, you feel welcomed right away! The ricotta & Croatian fig is amazing!! This is the best flavor I've ever had! We also got the strawberry, bourbon salted caramel both are delicious!
google avatar

Christine N.

Yelp
To start, you'll order your single/double scoop at the iPad kiosks on the wall and then head over to sample the flavors. Did observe there was a kind notice to limit sampling to 3 flavors, but since I was the only one there, they were nice enough to do 4 plus a bonus of their monthly passionfruit flavor! None of the flavors disappointed and this is now one of my top gelato favorites. Since I've never had a gluten free cone, I added that to my double scoop, and I'm not sure if this is the typical texture, but it was pretty crumbly so just a heads up for those trying to eat this on the go. A little pricy since it added to $11.40 with taxes...

Yelp
We were in Scottsdale for a wedding & our relatives took us here (choice was between Allora & Handel's which we have in our city at home). So of course, we chose Allora Gelato. WOW! Line was long & we weren't sure if it was worth it. There's a romantic, nice outdoor patio next to the store & EVERYONE outside eating their gelato said, "This is SO GOOD!" - we decided to stay in line. It took us about 30 mins of waiting. Shop is tiny but welcoming & modern. Once inside the door, on the right is 2 electronic ordering pads. You select single or double scoops, in a cup or in the housemade waffle cone. You don't put in the flavors, you only pay for the number of gelatos you ordered for your party with a name & credit card. You squeeze into the line for the counter that serves the gelato. They have 1 person on the left side of the store making the waffle cones at the cone station. Literally, he was doing this non-stop when we went at 8pm on a Sat. night! He was very detailed-oriented & precise! Once it's your turn at the main counter, you give them the name of the person who paid for the order. You tell them which flavor(s) you want. They will let you sample up to 3 flavors. I liked how they used real metal spoons & not disposable plastic ones! I had a single of the Greek Yogurt in a cup. They put a little wafer on top & wafer's so good! The Greek Yogurt was simple, yet so rich & decadent! It reminded me of the yogurt gelatos I would get in Rome! The rest of our group got Lemon Lavender sorbet, Salted Sicilian Pistachio, Bourbon Salted Caramel. Some in waffle cones, some in cups. Portions of the scoops are not big. I would say they're calorie-minded portions. This was very much worth the wait & I wish they had Allora Gelato in Los Angeles!! Highly recommend, do not miss!!
google avatar

Yelp
We were in the area to visit family and happened upon Allora Gelato. The staff was very friendly, and the shop is small but very modern and clean. There is a kiosk when you enter, and that is where you pay for the type and size of treat you want. Then you move to the counter area to taste. The available flavors are on the wall and on small printed cards. The variety, uniqueness, and quality of flavors was great. Bonus: their cones are gluten free! I haven't had a cone in years, and it was quite the treat. I chose ricotta Croatian fig (my fave) and Bourbon salted caramel. Delicious. Prices are a bit higher than we're used to, but a good value in our opinion. We definitely will stop by again when in the area.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
Allora, you might have just served me the best gelato I've ever tried. If you're searching for outstanding Italian gelato paired with well-executed creativity, this shop is definitely worth the drive. The Olive Oil & Rosemary is herby and phenomenal--totally did not expect it to be my pick--while the Mexican Coffee is strong enough to balance the spices. We also tried a handful of other flavors like the Salted Sicilian Pistachio (which does taste like real pistachios!!), the rich Vegan Dark Chocolate, and the lightly savory Bourbon Salted Caramel. All were fantastic, making for the toughest choice. (Update: We returned with friends the next day and got Greek Yogurt and Hazelnut + Orange Zest -- Greek yogurt might be another favorite! So creamy.) This is one of few shops I've been to that nail the smooth, dense texture of gelato in the Valley. Plus, the fresh waffle cones are delightful. Service is incredibly friendly, while the shop experience feels nice and boutique. Will be back again!!

Yelp
Wow this is amazing amazing gelato! Spending my teen years growing up right next to that's amore, I was spoiled with good gelato. But this is fantastic gelato as well with super unique flavors! This is a small place, you order how many scoops you want and cone or cup through the iPad then you get to sample a few flavors. I tried the mesquite honey lavender, orange hazelnut, and Croatian fig. I ended up getting the fig which is out of my comfort zone since I usually go for chocolatey! My husband got the chocolate brownie and bourbon caramel, I tried a bite it was delish. Love the cute little waffle cone chip they put in it too. Awesome that the waffle cones are gluten free! Plus they had two vegan gelato/sorbet options! The people working here were nice and gave my son super cute stickers! We will be back for sure and can't wait to bring some more family members to try it next time!

Yelp
Friends of mine told me to go try this new gelato spot out to taste test for the group since I lived the closest out of all of us. I've been back three more times since then. I can safely say that everything about this place is phenomenal. All their flavors are unique, well crafted and of superb quality. You can really tell they put a lot of care and passion into their creations. Some of the flavor combinations one wouldn't think would taste well together surprisingly do. Over my visits, I've sampled most of the flavors that have interested me, and I've been pleasantly surprised that the flavors I initially thought I would like, I ended up not being a fan of. And the flavors I thought sounded interesting but didn't see myself actually liking, I ended up really loving. Currently, my favorite flavors are the Ricotta & Croatian fig and the Mesquite Honey Chamomile. Both flavors are creamy, smooth, and have the right amount of sweetness for my taste buds. At first, I thought the ricotta flavor would be strong and overpowering but it's pleasantly not. The mesquite honey flavor is subtle, but you can still taste it clearly in each bite. What I love most about these two different flavors is that you can distinctly taste each flavor in the combinations without any overpowering the other. Allora has a welcoming sleek interior with the only seating being outdoors. The owners are very welcoming and do a fantastic job of explaining everything about the ordering process, answering questions about the flavors and giving great recommendations. I will be highly recommending this spot to family and friends.

Yelp
Great experience today with Alex. This was the best customer service that I have had in a while. The place was packed but Alex handled it like a pro. The flavors are decadent and the taste is even better. See you soon... Dawn Scottsdale

Yelp
Amazing gelato. I tried strawbery and pistachio. By far one of the best strawberry i have ever had. Service was exceptional. Need to go back to try more flavors!

Yelp
I love this gelato too much!! It is absolutely delicious...I love the unique flavors, my favorites are the olive oil & rosemary and the ricotta & Croatian fig... Always take out of town guests for this amazing treat in a corner of a strip center The owners are super nice too... Can't say enough good things...

Yelp
Hands down the best gelato in Scottsdale. Allora coconut gelato tasted like it came straight from Italy--smooth, rich, and perfectly creamy. You can taste the quality. A hidden gem worth every spoonful.

Yelp
Amazing. The gelato, cones, and everything else are delicious. Customer service was impeccable too. We will be back...a lot!

Yelp
Cute elegante gelato shop. I got the chocolate brownie and it was so good. An incredibly rich chocolate flavor with brownie chunks. The interior was immaculate. The staff were incredibly friendly. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I was so excited to stumble on this place during my recent trip to Scottsdale! After recently coming back from Italy, I have been craving real Italian gelato, which is so difficult to find in the states. Allora absolutely nails it! Their gelato is silky smooth, uses all natural ingredients, and is delicious on a hot Arizona night. Bonus points that they use the authentic stainless steel tubs! My favorite was their chocolate brownie - it reminded me of my favorite cioccolato fondente in Rome.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
This is absolutely the best gelato in town and I know gelato. I've been traveling in and out of United States eating gelato for the last 55 years you know good gelato when you eat one yes it is euro USD.
google avatar

Yelp
Allora Gelato is our new obsession. The gelato tastes authentic and the flavors we tried were all so good. My husband loves the Greek yogurt flavor which was recommended to us. The system they have is quite smart. You order first and pick your size then line up for the samples and actual order. It was super busy Saturday night. The location is cute and space is beautifully decorated.

Yelp
This is an odd review for me to leave. I'm hopeful the owner(s) read this and take into account my experience. First let's just say that anyone who says the gelato isn't great is almost assuredly lying or has an axe to grind with the employees. It's creamy. It's balanced. It's unique and the flavors are outrageously good. You cannot find better gelato. The "pay before you try" model is interesting and off putting to some. I didn't mind. But it did feel backwards. Pricing? I found it to be fine. Not cheap but nothing insanely expensive either. So my complaint? When my 76 year old mom walks in politely and asks for a restroom...well she should be allowed to use one. Not told to walk a hundred or more yards to a restaurant that will not be welcoming to a non-paying customer. There's just no way you turn down a simple request...and here's the kicker. It was empty when she asked. We were the only ones in there at the moment. It was very disappointing. Very. I'm leaving 5 stars but it wasn't easy to do so. Don't turn your back on the elderly when they need a restroom. Just don't. It's not a good look.

Yelp
I recommend this spot to everyone! Every single flavor is amazing! And everyone was very nice and helpful. I need to go back!

Yelp
Gelato perfection! Came by on a Monday at 5pm. Pretty busy within this upscale and cozy shop. Ordered from the touchpads and started our gelato journey. So many great flavors! Fell in love with the bourbon salted caramel, but they were out. Definitely coming back for that! Opted for the pistachio and ricotta and fig in the meantime. Wife and kids loved the chocolate brownie and lemon lavender. Waffle cones made while we watched. Smelled awesome and tasted even better. Very happy to finally have this style of shop in town!
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
What a cute little gelato shop tucked away in a strip mall! The staff was super friendly and helpful, instructing us to order the basis for what we wanted at the self-serve kiosks to the right of the store, and then when they called our name, going up to the counter and tasting the different flavors and making our selection. A little unusual, but it worked. I tried about four different flavors and ended up, settling on the olive oil and rosemary, and the hazelnut and orange zest. Both flavors were delicious and unique and I would definitely be interested in trying others!

Yelp
I can't stop thinking of my first experience at Allora. WOW. Everyone was so nice and proud of the gelato. The Mexican Coffee Gelato was layered in flavor. Soooo good. Like stupid good. I'm going back this weekend..can't wait!!!

Yelp
This charming spot serves up some of the best gelato I've ever had! The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, making the experience even sweeter. I highly recommend visiting during a quieter time so you can sample the flavors and fully enjoy the experience. I really enjoyed the different flavor combinations they offer and the cute mini waffle addition

Yelp
The flavors are mind blowing. We got the the salted pistachio which was a masterpiece and had just the right amount of sweetness and saltiness. The ricotta and fig was also amazing, not too sweet and perfect fruity flavor. You can easily tell that the ingredients they use are very fresh and high quality. The ambiance is perfect and everyone behind the counter was super nice. Yes, it's slightly pricey, but it's worth every penny. Would absolutely return to try all their other flavors.
google avatar

Ben H.

Yelp
Wow, that's damn good gelato. We came opening night and were turned off by the line but I will admit the wait was worth it. A woman was hand crafting each cone on a waffle maker while the owner was scooping and delicately placing the gelato on each cone with a metal spatula looking thing. The flavours were unique. I ordered the olive oil and rosemary flavour, which left a bold after taste after each lick. Outdoor seating only, so Brought my dog, unfortunately no pup cups.

Yelp
The galeto and sorbet is not too sweet at all! It is so tasty and amazing! Service is incredible. But I love the food. I got the Hazelnut orange zest and passionfruit sorbet. Soooo good!

Yelp
I was in Milan last year and had gelato there and I think Allora's gelato is even better! I had a scoop of the pistachio and the coconut and really enjoyed it. Some reviewers are put off by the fact that you have to pay first on the iPad kiosk, but I actually like that. They don't touch money so it's more sanitary this way and the lines move faster.

Yelp
Simply the best dessert shop around! My daughter & I stopped in today as she had heard positive reviews of their gelato. The attractive young woman working the counter immediately greeted us & made us feel welcome. She had us try several flavors & explained ingredients / made suggestions. I was very impressed. Presentation was excellent and the flavors unique & delicious! I hope the gelato in Italy is as good when I visit later this month.

Yelp
My cousin treated me to gelato recently, and we checked out Allora Gelato -- a sweet little spot that's small in size but big on charm. The space is beautifully designed, with a cozy, modern feel that instantly makes you want to linger. Now, I'll be honest -- their business model caught me off guard. You pay before you sample, which feels a little backwards, especially if you're indecisive (like me!) or just want to taste a few before committing. You do get to try a couple of flavors, but not the usual free-sample approach most of us are used to. On the bright side, they do offer cute free stickers at the end, which felt like a sweet little parting gift. As for the gelato -- it did not disappoint. I chose Ricotta & Croatian Fig and Strawberry Dolce. The ricotta was smooth and creamy, with just the right touch of sweetness from the fig -- rich but still light. The strawberry added a refreshing, delicate contrast that made the whole combo feel balanced and lovely. My husband went all in on indulgence with Chocolate Brownie and Hazelnut & Orange Zest. The chocolate was deep and fudgy, packed with brownie pieces, while the hazelnut and citrus pairing was bright, nutty, and surprisingly refined. All in all, it was a delicious experience -- a little quirky in terms of service, but the quality of the gelato and the charm of the place more than made up for it.

Yelp
Gelato is delicious! Super creamy and interesting flavors with very high end ingredients. The owners are so nice too. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
We came for their opening yesterday and the line was huge. Of course everyone wanted a free scoop lol. We waited for an hour and a half but we didn't mind the wait. The owners were nice and friendly. The waffle cones are made in house and they were so delicious. I was craving something refreshing so I went with the lemon lavender which was the right amount of sweet. I also tried the olive oil which was creamy and more decadent. I'll definitely try to come back for either the Greek yogurt or the ricotta and fig.

Yelp
Tried the new gelato spot!!! Crazy lines as they are getting situated!! Definitely need more help and someone to make it clear that you need to order and pay on the iPad kiosk BEFORE it's your turn!!!! Lots of flavors to choose from, including vegan and non dairy, which is great!! Some of the flavors that my group got, needed a bit more mixing, but overall good. Will try again in a few weeks. A few benches for outside seating only.

Yelp
This brand new gelato place just blew my mind with extremely creamy and flavorful gelatos, unfortunately could only try 2 flavors on a winter evening however I definitely would come back to try their salted sicilian pistachio and hazelnut oranve zest.. Not sure if they would serve affogato or not but would love to recommend or suggest if they can also introduce the viral pistachio affogato as well . Overall would highly recommend this place if you love gelatos.
