Allora is my new favorite restaurant in Grand Rapids. I’ve been twice since they opened and both times the food was amazing and the service was impeccable. This is one of the best dining experiences I have had. Each dish is packed with so much flavor and I love the attention to detail in every dish. Can’t want to come back again!

This was my second visit! The drinks are phenomenal-I tried 4 different ones and I can’t decide. Which I love most. We were seated exactly at the time of our reservation. Our waiter was very well informed of every single menu item and made perfect recommendations. The food came out at the perfect temperatures. I love that they already had new items since my last visit a month ago. The desserts were outstanding!!! Will be back as a regular! Brendan was great.

I celebrated my birthday lunch/dinner with family and friends here. The restaurant is beautiful, there's a very relaxed vibe and the music in the background pairs perfectly well with the excepcional food and cocktails they serve. The staff is amazing. Shout out to Parker, Emily, Kennedy, Tsion, Levi, the bartenders and the kitchen. They're all contributing to make eating here a delicious experience in every single way. Thank you and I hope to come back again soon. 😊

I recently visited Allora, the new Italian restaurant in Grand Rapids, and it was a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was cozy and stylish, making it a great place to relax. Our server, Levi, was absolutely amazing—super friendly and attentive. He really made our night special with his great service. I can't wait to go back and enjoy the vibe again!

Truly one of the best meals + experiences I have had in a while. On par with that of NYC or Chicago! We sat at the bar, and it was the best choice! Our bartenders were 10 out of 10, super knowledgeable, attentive, and made our dining experience one to remember! Highly recommend the Tartare and pasta! Will be back many more times!!

Have been waiting for Allora to open since The Reserve closed. Had a wonderful experience. Our waiter Zion was awesome and explained the menu and courses so we could start to narrow down what we wanted from the excellent choices. Drinks were great and made perfect. Food was excellent and made to perfection. The lemon desert was AMAZING. Will definitely be back for more. Thank you

I couldn't find a pasta option that suited my taste. I wanted a pasta with a protein. There just weren't enough options. The rest of the menu was incredibly boring. I decided on the salmon and asked for a seasoning or sauce, which they delivered, but it was basically a sweet flavor with not much else. Great espresso martini though, and probably the best service I've had in my life. Loved the complimentary eclair. But won't return.

The food at Allora is, without question, the best in town. The service sets a new benchmark for hospitality—warm, attentive, and polished. The cocktail menu is incredibly creative, making it hard to choose just one; each drink bursts with complex, rich flavors. We especially loved the multi-course dining experience, which can be thoughtfully paired with a progression of cocktails. The wine list remains impressively strong, offering excellent options to complement any dish. Some of our favorite items include the Allora Salad, the octopus gnocchi, the meatballs, the yellowfin tuna, the cacio e pepe, and the ragu. The tableside steak is an absolute standout—expertly carved right in front of you and truly unlike anything else in Grand Rapids. Other memorable entrées were the filet and the pork chop, both cooked to perfection. The scallops were among the best I’ve ever had. Be sure to save room for dessert—the lemon creation is amazing, and that’s coming from someone who typically doesn’t like lemon. Overall, this was the best dining experience in town. We’re incredibly grateful to have Allora in Grand Rapids.

Yelp
My search for good Italian food in SW Michigan might be over. Thank you Allora. I spent 13 years in north New Jersey, a mecca of great Italian food, where there are lots of really good Italian restaurants. Average Italian restaurants just won't survive there. There was not a single thing on Allora's menu that I would not order. My only regret was the lack of a veal chop on the menu. My beef tartare app was delicious. The burrata salad was exceptional (and surprisingly large). My squid ink and seafood pasta was cooked perfectly. The asparagus side was wonderful. Everyone at our table loved their selections. The cocktail menu was quite good too. Some of the cocktails looked as good as they tasted. Our server was fabulous. The decor was comfortable and relaxed. Everything considered, this is one of the better dining experiences I've had in SW Michigan. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
We came here the for the first time with some friends. Walking into the main dining room, the decor is a soft blue giving that coastal vibe that goes with their coastal Italian menu. Our server was attentive and not pushy which I appreciated. We started with cocktails, and Ithe Negroni was very good. They have a nice list grouped into 4 sections with the 4th being more dessert cocktails. Server mentioned the the menu was designed to be 5 courses. We opted (and was also suggested by our server) to share several starters - octopus, arancini, meatballs, and focaccia. All were tasty and presentation was beautiful. The standouts were octopus (tender and fresh served with some gnocchi) and the arancini (which was perfectly cooked and the right amount of rice and cheese in a center). For dinner the table ordered scallops and the grouper special. Each seafood dish had a side of choice. Scallops were delicious along with the roasted mushrooms. My friend ordered the polenta with her scallops that she enjoyed. My husband ordered the whipped potatoes that were delicious. For dessert, we shared the limone sphere that was a work of art and so light and delicious. We didn't try the pasta given the amount of food we had (and left very full), but I do want to go back and try their pasta. It was a great experience and look forward to going back

Yelp
Price was just about the same as our favorite Italian restaurant in NYC, but foods were not anywhere close... quite honestly all tasted pretty bad. We had CRUDO DI TONNO, tuna on the plate were like a bad joke. Super ridiculously tiny pieces with some sauce which didn't have hardly any flavor at all. FRITTURRA MISTA's sauce didn't have much flavor either, wondered if kitchen didn't have least any salt at that night. We ordered several pastas 3 LINGINE AL NERO DI MARE and 1 BUCATINI ALL'AMATRICIANA, had one for each... did not have hardly any seasoning either. Their intentions might have been good, but none of them had taste at all. COSTATA DI MANZO, rib eye steak's sauce was really odd and didn't taste good at all but actually was bad. COSOTLETTA DI MAIALE, the pork chop was the only one it was good... I mean, was okay. We got free Maritozzo for each, and that was better than those dishes we paid for. Free treat to go home was the only thing it was fairly okay. Service was fine, I had purse which I couldn't hang to the hook attached to the corners of table. Besides, I wouldn't hang any of my purse. I wish they had like a basket to place nice purses in and cover it with a cloth to avoid anything might get onto it rather than displaying the purse at the window. Oh, and they don't offer valet service either. Never going back again.

Yelp
Loved the new Allora! To begin, the cocktails were delicious and beautiful. The "Limonare" was by far our favorite (perfectly sweet, refreshing, and herbal). The "Vecchio Style" was a close second (old fashioned with a hint of vanilla and banana). The espresso cocktail was probably our least favorite even though the pistachio froth on top was a nice twist. Appetizers: As a blue cheese, fan I loved the "blue steel foccacia" (delicious large portion of 5 slices of focaccia with a little dollop of whipped blue cheese). The "Polpo Alla Patate" was delicious. The gnocchi melted in our mouths and had a burst of flavor and spices with well-cooked octopus pieces, I'd absolutely order that again. The meatballs were quite good as well! Dinners: The "Costoletta Di Maiale" was a really solid portion of delicious pork chop cooked and glazed perfectly. The grilled ricotta stuffed eggpant was delicious as well! The only disappointing entree was the cacio e pepe that two of us ordered... honestly it was missing something and none of us would reorder it. Overall though our service and cocktails were great, appetizers delicious, and I'd love to try their desserts next time!

Yelp
If you're looking for an upscale Italian restaurant, Allora is a must try. The portions were well sized, there were 4 of us dining and we ordered quite a few to share amongst each other dining family style. We left full and even had left overs. The Crudo Di Tonno (tuna crudo) and Carne Di Manzo Crudo Con Tartufo (beef tartare) were by far our favorite dishes of the night. The pork chop was a little bit too fatty for our liking but it was topped with crispy kale which was our favorite from the dish. At the end of dinner you're also gifted a little treat to take home to enjoy with your coffee the next day Overall all the dishes were amazing!

Yelp
So excited to go and check out Allora and see the interior of this place! Upon entering we were greeted by a host who graciously took our name and seated us inside their dining area. The tables were set up beautifully with nice blues and gorgeous blue accents in the glasses and chairs and hand cloths. We were introduced to two gentlemen who were going to take care of us for the evening. They were both absolutely incredible and the hospitality was amazing. Right off the bat they welcomed us and we were given water choices between sparking, still, and tap. To be completely honest we didn't realize still was going to come in a glass bottle and it was $9 a bottle. We completely would have gotten tap if we had paid attention but we just continued to enjoy our still water anyway. The drink menu was looking awesome with many fancy cocktails and wines. My bf ordered their old fashioned that came with a dehydrated banana on it and I tried the Apertif Flip because it looked so beautiful in pictures I had seen online. Not only did my drink look spectacular, it tasted divine too. Highly recommend. We were told the first page of the menu were smaller dishes and the second page was more heartier portions of food. We tried their beef tartare, octopus gnocchi, and the raw shrimp spaghetti as our small dishes. Each one was absolutely delicious and full of flavors and very fresh. The beef tartare was pretty much my favorite of those three but I'd eat them all again in a heartbeat. For entrees, my bf ordered the king salmon with whipped potatoes which he loved and I ordered the pork chop by our server's recommendation. Both delicious! The star of the show for me was the dessert we ordered, the Delizia Di Limone! Absolutely light and citrusy and refreshing! Great textures and balance. One of the best desserts I've enjoyed in quite some time. You have to try this if you like lemon. Promise you won't regret it. Five star review easily for an incredible evening. The food, the ambiance, the service were all superb! Can't wait to come back and try more of what their menu has to offer. We were given a gift upon leaving and were told they are delicious treats meant to enjoy with your morning coffee. So I'm looking forward to trying those :) Please try this place out soon to support their opening! I would make sure to plan to spend a good amount and also dress well as everyone looked amazing inside.

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience at Allora! Had an early dinner after golf while vacationing in Grand Rapids. Everything about this restaurant is on point! The servers are well trained, friendly and attentive. The food was so so good! We loved everything we tired!! And the atmosphere....wow, somebody had a vision when they put this restaurant together - really beautiful! It's a new restaurant; only about two months old, so definitely put it on your must try list - you won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
The service was fantastic, and the food was very good. Excited to have a nice Italian cuisine downtown again. The cocktails are absolutely amazing, and the presentation of both food and drinks was a lot of fun!

Yelp
Excellent food in a world class ambiance. Server was fantastic as well. Can't go wrong with the crudo, meatballs and the seafood pasta. 10/10

Yelp
Four of us ate at Allora Friday night. Beautiful place, great service and wonderful food. Loved the octopus. Fun to share the meals. Highly recommend.

Yelp
7pm reservation just so you have an idea of when we got there so you know what kind of stress the staff went through, especially since there were more than a few empty tables. The vibe was okay, it's a pretty concept, the have nice decor, but it was pretty much a simple hey, how are you doing? What can I get you, thanks for coming bye. They had nice touches don't get me wrong, little things here and there were great. The food was not really that good. The foccacia was good, and so was the burrata, but when we get cold plates and cold pasta when it's supposed to be hot it was pretty disappointing, five bucks says the food it was dying in the expo window. While I am heavy seasoning person, it tasted very bland. The steak we got was really good, tender, well cooked and well seasoned, but the polenta that came with it also sat on the expo line drying out. If you want a okay meal, yeah the place has all the makings of a place you visit once and probably not go back.
