"Whether you’re in town doing big-time adult job stuff at the convention center, or just feel like rounding up a ton of your friends to gorge on red meat, come to Alma Gaucha. The restaurant serves Brazilian rodízio, which means for a prix-fixe price, you’ll have waiters bringing over cuts of meat on skewers to your table—think good quality top sirloin, ribeye, slow-cooked pork, chicken, and even salmon. There’s a sides and salad buffet that’s an extra add-on, but it’s worth it for some shrimp salad, pickled veggies, and smoked salmon. Shell out for a nice bottle of malbec on the expense account, while you’re at it. We call that team building, right?" - tanya edwards

Ok, so first time here. I have to say the food, the drinks, the atmosphere is amazing!! Wonderful indoor space. Great outdoor space. Our first bartender, Maycon, was wonderful. Our 2nd bartender Jeffrey not so nice. He couldn't wait for us to pay out to leave. He never asked how dinner was. Didn't fill our water. I asked the hostess where the bathroom was since he was way too busy doing nothing. Left our plates and dishes in front of us instead of clearing them. I don't think it's too much to get a water refill. Other than him finishing out our night, we had a great time. Prolly not going to go back, but the food was really good.

the food and cocktails were quite good here. however the service was really poor. i sat in the bar area and even though it was staffed with a bartender and waiter, i couldn't get anyone to look my way the entire time except for my initial order. they could have sold a few more cocktails if they'd just check in every once in a while. but, the burger was cooked nicely and tasted great so no complaints on the food. not sure I'd go back due to the lack of service though.

Greeted with “can I help you?” from the host who ended up being friendly at least. Wouldn’t have thought anything of it were it not for the following: Place was empty @ 6pm. Literally the only person dining on the patio. Host tried pushing the buffet hard. Server came out and when I asked for a glass of wine he suggested I get a bottle instead, which I thought was a bit much for just one person. I could see pushing for a bottle with two people or at least a casual inquiry into my evening plans to see if the upsell would fit. When I declined, he made a last push stating I can take it home. Still declined. I told him I was eyeing this sandwich that looked good, he said he prefers the prime burger instead. Felt obligated to get the burger. He didn’t take a temp. Menu warns ahead of time burger cook time about 20-25 min. Someone brought out these little styrofoam-looking mini muffin-esque rolls that were as edible as they looked. In due time my burger was brought out with no pink in the center, which I was expecting. The fries were good though. Got through quite a few fries, most of my glass of wine, and half the burger before anyone checked in on how it was. For those of you not in the biz: 2 bites; 2 minutes is industry standard. The person who did come out was a different person than the original server. His check-in was simply “More drink?” I asked if the first guy left and he responded with a laugh “oh yes.” After this encounter I do not understand how this place has 4.5 stars. Maybe I got the Tuesday night b-team service. Quick plus though - the 75 Beckstoffer Cabernet and constant sea breeze in the waning summertime sunlight on the patio really made up for obvious lack of oversight. Oh one last free tip to whoever runs this place - generally customary for the outgoing server to introduce the server who’s taking over before you split. At least then you get an opportunity for the guest to insist on closing out with you (without having to push hard for it).

Came here in the dine-out week and enjoyed the lunch special. Although only a subset of meats are served, it’s still an awesome deal! They provided three kinds of sides and plenty of options on the salad bar, but I only tried a few bites because I wanted to save my stomach for the meat. The grills tasted juicy and came fast. The chicken leg was alright, but the sirloins were really good. The dessert was okay, which I hadn’t expected a surprise. The service was also very warm. Highly recommend to give it a try!

Google
Staying in Elements hotel so restaurant opposite and recommended by our hotel. It did not disappoint. If anyone has seen the movie "Bridesmaids" you will know why I probably wasn't as keen as I could've been to eat at this type of restaurant. The food was excellent, it is the type of restaurant inviting you to a salad bar, serving staff then bring meats etc on demand to you on the flip of a disc; all I had was really good quality. We had left room for dessert. I chose New York cheesecake, husband chose cheesecake with passion fruit; both delicious and huge! The staff very attentive, professional and friendly. A great atmosphere developed in the time we were there but it already felt welcoming. Decor was great, impressive lighting. I would definitely recommend if you are staying in Boston.

Google
It’s been awhile since I tried a Brazilian place and craving for all the meats you can eat. Came here for lunch with a bunch of friends and it wasn’t pack but the service of the meat rotation was pretty slow . Not much choices of meat during the lunch Buffett. The salad bar was pretty good and drinks can be strong too. Overall the place was decent but not comparable to other Brazilian places. It can be a little pricey for lunch .

Google
Great service and good. Great cocktails. Food is not overly salty. And their short ribs are different from fogo, which is just soft. This one is more similar to Asian style where it has a bite to it.

Google
I am only commenting on the quality of their food because I had it ubered. The meat is so dry you can't ring water from it. I asked for everything medium rare. Everything was well done and, cold, hard and crusty and very salty! If you really want to waste close to $80 for 1 meal item, by all means go. If you also want to lose your jaw and eat sand paper, by all means go. There is far much better food to eat for $80 then salted napkin textured meat.

Yelp
Excellent. Probably my best Brazilian or Argentine Steak house I have experienced. The meats were impeccably prepared. Everything we ate was excellent, especially the rib eye, prime beef and lamb. They also had beautiful shrimp on the menu. The fresh salad bar was awesome. Beautifully presented. And then after a great dining experience come the deserts. WOW !!! Try the Bread Pudding !! I had the Bourbon Pecan Pie and wife had Flan. Jordon served us, and Antonio was a server. The entire staff was excellent. Was told that they received a 2024 best Brazilian restaurant and we know why. Definitely recommend !!

Yelp
I went to this place after trying out FOGO and want to see how other Brazilian Steakhouses style serving. It is a dining experience for sure, we got seated and taken care of by our servers very professionally. I love the salad and appetizers buffet, everything was well seasoning. However, we kept getting the same type of beef cuts, I wish different servers came to our table, instead of sirloin person Street parking was easy to find, and once we step inside the restaurant, it def feels like fine dining. However, you don't need to wear formal clothes, just casual business is fine Overall, good experience while dining here.

Yelp
First time here. What an experience. Great ambiance and energy. The staff were all so friendly and attentive. Several large groups having birthdays and even a wedding reception in the back and despite all that, we felt attended to. Everyone had smiles and were enjoying this amazing city. We are so blessed to get to experience such amazing things in life. Bravo!!

Marcel M.

Yelp
The service was friendly, and the location and ambiance were great. However, there were two disappointing aspects of our experience and one that was outright upsetting. First, the cooking method for the meat is done using electric heating elements, which don't impart any flavor to the meats. Traditional Brazilian barbecue is cooked over mesquite charcoal, and that distinctive smoky flavor was completely missing. Second, the cost of the meal was quite high for what we received. We're a family of five, with my youngest (5 years old) eating for free, two kids at half price, and my wife and I paying full price. Despite only drinking water and skipping dessert, our total bill with tip was over $230. If the meat had been cooked over charcoal, the price might have felt more justified, but it left us feeling underwhelmed for the cost. The most upsetting issue, though, happened when I went to the restroom. I saw one of the cooks leaving a toilet stall and heading straight back to the kitchen without washing his hands. I immediately reported this to the manager, who simply apologized. This response did little to reassure me that proper hygiene was being followed. I can only hope this cook's unwashed hands never touched my food.

Yelp
We just stopped in for a quick lunch and did not get the AYCE meat sword buffet. However, we did order the delicious steak sandwich which was absolutely amazing! It was so good, we went back again the next day as it was convenient (in the hotel at which we were staying). We ordered the sandwich again and it wasn't even close to being as good as the previous day's version. It's convenient to the hotels behind the convention center and probably the best place without a 10-15 minute walk. It can get busy for dinner, so make reservations.

Jimmy B.

Yelp
This place is really good! The steaks are well seasoned. Service is the best. We were sat right away. Our water was constantly refilled. Even the manager checked on us! Everyone was so polite! I have been to many Brazilian steak houses this is the best. The salad bar was fresh and the chimichurri sauce was tasty. The place is nice and quiet even for a Friday night.. I was stiffed and happy we found this place!

Joseph F.

Yelp
Sopped in for a couple of glasses of wine and an appetizer to hold me until dinner. I order the picanha appetizer which was three thick cuts of sirloin that arrived hanging from a skewer. With a really delicious chimachuri (sp?) to pour on it. The appetizer came with two appetizers. One was 3 potato croquettes and three, what looked like muffins. Also very delicious. The place is clean and inviting and the staff were all friendly. I am looking forward to going back soon.

Yelp
Went here for a birthday lunch date and everything from the service, to drinks, to food and desserts were amazing! The flavors of the meat are way above the level of other Brazilian steakhouses in Boston, and their buffet table is one of the most comprehensive I've ever come across. Their cocktails are also delicious.

Kelly C.

Yelp
The service here is great! They come by with more food than you can eat. It's very nice and spacious inside. It also happens to be right across from the Lawn on D. I came with a friend during the Best of Boston and we had a great time. We definitely ate much more than we had planned. All of the meat we had was really good. I'd say the salmon isn't the best; it was a little dry. I did like that they had an extensive salad bar. All of the different bbq-ed beef dishes were great! I definitely look forward to returning.

Yelp
I loved the ongoing series of servers coming by the table to offer the meats to try. I recommend coming here with friends and family for a buffet style meal

Yelp
OMG! If you haven't tried this Spot.? It's a must. Thanks Phantom Gourmet/Dan and Dave Alderman. We were a Party of 12 on 3/9/24. The Staff was so Accommodating. The Hot Bar just to name a few items Soups, Rice & Peas was great. As well as the Cold Bar just name a few Salads, Fruits. Both were a great start;however when the meats arrived was the highlight of the meal. Lamb, beef, pork, chicken, sausages. I only have one pic to share. The Mango Cheesecake. I could eat this 3/times a week. Thanks Alma Gaucha. Looking forward to returning. Thanks L & K for treating us ya'll Rock

Bobby W.

Yelp
I've been here a number of times and I've always left happy. All the different cuts of meat are excellent. There is an attention to detail that you won't get at larger chains that do Brazilian barbecue that I really appreciate. Absolutely worth the trip.

Yerina K.

Yelp
I've been to Fogo de Chao so many times for special occasions when I wanted good meats and salad bars, but coming to Alma Gaucha changed the game! My boyfriend is Brazilian and he took me here because it was more "authentic" in his opinion and I would agree that it is better. The meats were seasoned just right (Fogo is on the saltier side) and the employees there were primarily Brazilian. The waiters were very nice and friendly, which made the experience even better. I would recommend coming here for a special night because of the nice lighting and the place is well decorated to feel not TOO fancy and still classy for a nice night out. The fudge cake was SOOO good (huge sweet tooth) I was super full from the meats but this went in so easily.

Nazli S.

Yelp
Very disappointing selection of meats. Was only offered picanha, my favorite, one time. The buffet wasn't very fresh. We won't be returning to this place.

Meiyi Y.

Yelp
I came here during Dine Out Boston where dinner was $41/person. They had a good selection of meat (mostly beef) and a decent salad bar. Perhaps because my friend and I were there on the earlier side (~6:30 pm), so much food were served. Our plates were full the entire time. It did get much busier by the time we left. My friend and I made a Friday dinner reservation for two a week prior and there were plenty of availabilities. The place seems to be fitting for large parties as well. Overall, worth a try for the great price!

Aaron H.

Yelp
I heard about this place after my friends came here and saying it is a brazilian steakhouse. All i know was fogo de chao so i thought i come try it! I didn't realize this was right across the street from lawn on D. Parking is street parking but i was able to find parking on a Saturday Night. The interior was fancy but not too fancy. There were dark black and red tones and the main area seating was a bit small, but it stretches out to more seating in the back. I would say the tables are not right next to each other but are closer. I haven't had a problem moving around to get to the sides table, but i did have to make loops just to avoid asking people to move in. There were a ton of sides with my favorite being the two different types of smoked salmon. I tried not to get full on the sides but everything looked amazing. My go to sides are smoked salmon, pasta salad, tomatoes, and potato salad. For the meats, I will say i feel like since we were in the corner and next to a large party, we did have to flag some people down that were carrying the meats cuz they would miss our table. All the meats were cooked nicely, however i would say it is really salty. I did drink a lot of water and that filled me up pretty fast. Overall though the service was great, they filled out waters up and even brought us plates in the beginning without us asking. I would definitely come here again on a special occasion since it is a little pricey.

Wendy C.

Yelp
Very spacious and clean inside. The service was very attentive, professional, and friendly. The salad bar had a good amount of varieties (including charcuterie options, fruits , salads) and they had a soup section as well (clam chowder, spicy corn soup). The meats were not as salty as some other Brazilian places. Besides variety of beef selections, they also have chicken hearts, pork belly, salmon, lamb and grilled halloumi cheese with honey.

Yelp
Had a fabulous dining experience here. No waiting just grab a plate and head for the excellent salad bar. While you enjoy that plate of delicious vegetables you flip a card to green which signals the staff to bring on the meats. These include different cuts of beef, chicken, ribs, sausages, lamb, etc., all amazing. An excellent selection of desserts puts a cap on the night. The service was excellent throughout. Look forward to returning soon.

Yelp
I made a reservation for my dads birthday. We waited over 45 minutes to be seated despite Making a reservation and confirming our reservation. This was disappointing and definitely took a ding on service. If people make reservations it's your responsibility to ensure that it's honored as close to the time promised. We finally got seated an hour after our reservation. Now in the restaurants defense they were packed and people stay and linger at tables. The staff was attentive and the meat kept coming. The food was so delicious. The buffet had so much to choose from. The salad bar was equipped with everything to make your dinner special. We loved it despite the wait.

Yelp
So in Boston for a conference. I'm out with Jimbo and JewBoy to celebrate a great accomplishment by Jimbo. We were quite hungry after all the day's events. This place was right across the street from the convention center, and it was in our tradition to get churrasco at conferences. Place is located in the Aloft. Last time I was there it was just a simple hotel bar/restaurant. What a glow up. Place had a nice interior. Service was quick. Multiple servers came to check on us throughout the meal. We asked for chimichurri and it came out quickly. Not a wide selection of meats, but that could be because we showed up 1.5 before close on a Sunday. However the selection they did have was fantastic. Sides were what you would expect. Great for palate cleansing but nothing out of this world. All in all, I'd recommend.

Yelp
My husband and I had an incredible dining experience at Alma Gaucha and they made his birthday very special! We were there for weekend lunch on a Saturday at noon and it wasn't very busy but it did get a lot busier closer to 1:30 pm. Service was outstanding - everyone was helpful, friendly, and attentive but we never felt like anyone was hovering over us. The salad bar was fresh and included so many options of fruit, salads, cold cuts, cheeses, etc. There was also a hot bar with breads, sides, and soups. The meat came out non-stop and there was a huge assortment with different cuts of lamb, chicken, steak. The garlic steak and lamb lollipops were amazing! We will definitely go back!

Melanie W.

Yelp
Dine Out Boston is the reason that I came here but the meat is disappointing that most of the meat are overcooked especially the beef and the chicken wrapped with bacon are dried except 2nd round when they came again. There are over 10 selection of meat but we only see 4-5 selection going around. Our server was slow and ignoring our table even is not busy... we waited for our check more than 15 mins but he forgot about it when he asked what we need, he finally remember. My friend preferred Oliveria's Steak House in Somerville more.

Johnny Y.

Yelp
We had a conference meeting near by decided to hop here for lunch since it was within walking distance. Without any expectations or what they serve in general we went in blindly not knowing this was a Brazilian Steak house. We ordered the salad bar with meat for lunch and I have to say the meats here was cooked perfectly ! From sirloins, to lamb chops, to filet mignon you name it! Service was impeccable as expected in this type of franchise. AS for the salad bar it was my least desired. Not that I don't like my greens! I always have room for greens! but their salads were a bit on the mediocre side. The potato salad had a bit of a funk and their spread of cheese and meats was a bit on the off putting. But their greens were fresh and their cucumbers, tomatoes were crisp so points for that! Overall I'd enjoy the meal and it was convenient since it was close to our hotels and for the lunch price. I thought it was a good deal. Definite bang for your buck!

Yelp
Ate here for lunch on Monday, February 19, 2024. We are Rodizio connoisseurs having visited my Brazilian steakhouses throughout the USA since the late 1990s. I have to say that this place is on par with the heavy hitters (Fogo de Chao and Texas de Brazil). My family had a wonderful dining experience. The meats came out just the way we liked it (medium well) and the meats were constantly being presented. The salad bar was also great with many selections to choose from. Will definitely be back on our next visit to Boston!

Larry L.

Yelp
The restaurant is beautiful, clean and vibrant. The salad bar is fantastic but we were careful not to fill up. The Meats etc were superb and plentiful. The manager wasvisible and attentive. The only drawback was our wait servers were not as attentive. We asked several people for simple things like ice water and had to keep asking.

Cheryl M.

Yelp
Beautiful ambience, attentive staff. It was hard to figure out (online, before our visit) how the restaurant actually worked. I saw some individual entrees on the menu in addition to the traditional Rodizio, so I thought I could order a meal while my husband would get the Rodizio. But once we were seated, no one explained how things worked, it was just assumed we'd both do the Rodizio. When I asked about a menu and separate entrees, they told me that was small bites for the bar area. So we didn't see a menu at all and didn't even know how much the Rodizio was. I was given the option of just doing the salad bar separately, but decided I'd go with the meats. When they directed us to the salad bar, I had to ask whether that was included. The meats were all delicious and well-prepared. We mostly couldn't understand what we were being served meat-wise due to accents of the meat carvers. I appreciate having authentic Brazilians serving the food, but they could maybe slow down and pronounce things more succinctly for the hard of hearing, or have labels on the skewers. The hot side dishes were a little lacking - not very warm. I think they were just served too quickly, while we were visiting the salad bar. I would have preferred they had waited until we had finished our cold food. The carmelized bannas were good, but the crispy polenta was inedible - tough and firm. I was disappointed because I love the concept of "polenta fries". The bread was also very tough and hard to eat. Where this restaurant really shines is the desserts. We actually had just dessert here earlier in the week, then again with our meal. The passion/mango cheesecake was ridiculously flavorful with intense passion fruit flavor. Perfect and beautiful too. The passion fruit mousse was delectable. The molten chocolate cake and bourbon bread pudding were also delicious. Despite the minor hiccups, we really enjoyed the experience and would 100% return.

Jenny J.

Yelp
What can I say... the food here was AMAZING. We started off with a few beers as we made our way to our seats. Staff was very attentive, helpful (as we were a bit confused on how to order), and high energy. The ambiance was loud and busy. We booked our date on a day there were large parties celebrating birthdays apparently... we sang about 4 "Happy Birthday's" lol Now let's get to the best part... the food!! We overly enjoyed everything at the salad bar. The garbanzo salad was tangy and delicious. They had artichoke, grilled garlic cloves, grilled onions, eggplant, and these spicy little red chilies (beware they are extremely hot). They also had grilled veggies and salads. We tried a variety of meats (yes yes on top of everything we ate above). The filet mignon and Lamb were our favorites. Meat was cooked to perfection, and was juicy. You will NOT be disappointed! I'm not big on chicken, but it was good. I felt that was a little bit on the dry side. The barbecue ribs had a great taste, but the meat was a bit on the dry side and a bit too charred for my taste. Over all this place was great! Certainly a must stop when in Boston!

Yelp
What an unpleasant experience. I suppose the honest truth in a city like Boston where Fogo de Chao exists and sets such a high standard of quality and excellence, both in service and in food, it becomes difficult to accept anything so-so. Alma Gaucha is the definition of so-so with a dash of incompetence. The Food -The Meat does not circulate quickly. (Fogo serves and offers 5-6 different meats about every 10 minutes) in 1.5 hours at Alma, we tasted at most 5-6 cuts of meat. -The meat itself is not well seasoned. We became accustomed to salting before tasting as we came to expected unseasoned meat every time. Every bite of meat we had to liberally season with salt. It tasted fine after the salt. -I'm not sure how one can claim to be a steakhouse and not know what medium rare is. Each cut was served was medium well-well, regardless of how we requested it. -the salad bar is fine but again if you have been to fogo de chao, you will be disappointed. -the polenta side was hard and difficult to eat. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried to eat another round of them freshly as they came to the table. The polenta comes to the table hard and dry. (An aside but they charged 4.25 for a single mini coke. We know it was mini because the waitress poured into the glass of ice in front of us) -the chocolate cake dessert was cloyingly sweet. We literally sprinkled some salt on it to make it edible and of course did not continue to eat it. The service With food this average and slightly mediocre/subpar, you'd expect the service to make up for it. You'd be wrong -we asked for another round of sides, they brought us the dry polenta and told us that we still had mashed potatoes on our table. There was maybe a third on the plate left. I wondered aloud to my husband if they were rationing. -our plates were not cleared once the entire time we were there. They just continued to pile up at our table. -at the end of the meal, as the waiter was finally clearing our plates, he was working rather quickly and because there were so many, a knife slid from the pile of dishes he was trying to gather and almost landed on my husband. This was not malicious of course but increased the sourness of an already negative experience. -last but not least, there was a piece of paper wrapping in our dessert. I took a bite and pulled it out of my mouth. Picture included. All in all, I shouldn't dream of another restaurant while dining. Alma does not succeed or excel in any category. There is about a 15-20 dollar price tag difference but there is a 50-100X quality and service difference. Save your money. Do not waste it at Alma Gaucha.

Sean G.

Yelp
Ah, Brazil, land of samba, soccer, and scrumptious steaks - our culinary journey led us to Alma Gaucha, where we hoped to tame our towering appetites like capoeira masters. With bellies empty and spirits high like the carnival vibe, my two strapping sons and I sauntered into this Brazilian haven. At first glance, the ambiance was a fiesta for the senses, as if we stumbled into a caipirinha-fueled party hosted by carnivorous Cariocas. The service matched the warmth of Brazilian hugs, making us feel like long-lost amigos, ready to share tales of adventure and passion for picanha. Aye, the salad bar greeted us like a tropical rainforest, bursting with vibrant colors and flavors as diverse as the Amazon. But let's cut to the meat of the matter, shall we? The churrascaria's meats were a samba of succulence, leaving us no option but to dance with delight after each tender, juicy bite. It was like our taste buds joined a samba school parade, moving in perfect harmony to the rhythm of flavors. With carnivorous cravings satiated, we faced a tough decision - to indulge in Brazilian desserts or not. As we contemplated our sweet fate, we reminded ourselves of the land's legendary beaches and bikini bodies - a dessert dilemma as delicate as savoring a brigadeiro. Having recently experienced another Brazilian steakhouse, we were undoubtedly graced by Alma Gaucha's culinary caresses, elevating our palates like Christ the Redeemer high above Rio de Janeiro. In this flavorful showdown, there was no contest; Alma Gaucha reigned supreme like a World Cup champion. As for the rating, I stood before the golden beaches of Rio, hesitating like a surfer waiting for the perfect wave. The perfect score, like a carioca's tan lines, would have to wait for another visit. But make no mistake, Alma Gaucha earned its spot among Brazil's most delicious destinations. So, amigos, if your appetite craves a sizzling Brazilian adventure, march to the beat of the samba and make your way to Alma Gaucha. It's a carnival for your taste buds that will leave you shouting "Bravo, Brasil!" with every bite.

Yelp
We came here on the recommendation of good friends, and we were not disappointed. Our oldest daughter "prepared" for our dining experience by not eating all day. I didn't realize that was a thing? We were greeted warmly by the hostess, and taken to our seats. We were dining with our youngest daughter's boyfriend's family who are from Brazil, which was extremely helpful! I didn't take pics, because I thought it would be rude to ask the servers to stop while I snap away, so alas, there are none. All the beef skewers were DELICIOUS and tender. I sampled them all! I wish I had room for the garlic pork (which everyone was raving about), but what little space I had in my tummy, was reserved for the chocolate lava cake and one last glass of Moscato. I didn't regret my decision! Service was exceptional, and the staff left us wanting for nothing. They were on point! If you're a fan of Fogo de Chao, you need to come here! The owners of Alma Gaucha used to work there, and decided to start their own restaurant. I'm so excited they are expanding to SoCal, because it beats traveling 3K miles for a great Brazilian meal!!!

Yelp
Outstanding experience. We went on a Sunday evening to celebrate my teenage son's birthday. Everything was wonderful. The meats were flavorful and juicy. Numerous times servers stopped by the table to inquire if we needed anything or wanted a specific cut of meat sent by. The whole staff was super friendly and engaging. My Caipirinha was absolutely delicious. We have been to Fogo de Chão and I can say confidently this was 10X better in every way and we will definitely be coming back to Alma Gaucha!

Yelp
this is a really unique dining experience. buffet style salad and hot food bar and then the choices of meat are distributed at the choice of each guest. What a great idea. The food was exceptional and our server, Gabbie was over the top in making our evening special.

Yelp
The food was delicious. But the pricing is a little bit high. They should have where you're able to get two meats and three sides for $35.99. And the side senses, rice, beans, etc. you should be able to get an unlimited amount because rice, beans, etc. is cheap.

Yelp
I want to start by saying I'm commenting on their food only since I got delivery. I think no matter how long the ride, even though it was less then an hr for delivery, it couldn't dry the meat out like this. I'd rather go eat salty ass fogo de Chao then this place. At least they understand what medium rare is. My meat came so dry there was no moisture left in the meat. I got their "A little bit of everything" and well at least they got the name right. Everything, was so consistently dry, overly salty yet had absolutely no flavor.... No idea how they managed to accomplish that. But if you really want to waste $80 on a sandpaper heart attack, go to Alma Gaucha. If you really like chewing until your jaw hurts and still can't swallow the "meat" while also wondering how a place has the audacity to be a meat restaurant and not understand medium rare. I guess medium rare to them is well done, crusty and dry. The chicken legs were probably left out for a long time after cooking because it was hard on the outside and so hard to cut into it looked like plastic. But guess what, very consistently dry. So if you like dry, salty but tasteless meat go to Alma Gaucha. Also if you like hard plastic textured chicken go!

Yelp
Not the most appetizing pictures, but this place was absolutely delicious. It was my first time at a Brazilian Steak House and the staff explained how everything worked. There were managers and waiters coming up to check up on us to make sure everything was ok. The moment you flip your thing (not sure what to call it) to "Yes", the servers came so quick and they were very attentive. There was a server who came around with random appetizers and I loved it all! They also have a buffet section where you can grab smoked salmon, fruits, rice, beans, soup, etc. I got the corn soup from the buffet and it was absolutely delicious. I literally had 4 servings of it. I will be returning here the next time I come to Boston. Thank you for exceeding my expectations! Also, they're right across the street from Lawn on D and it was the perfect place to digest all the delicious food we ate.

Yelp
Amazing lunch at the bar: tenderloin skewers and a Caesar salad with sparkling water. I was starving and this was fresh, perfectly cooked and a fun presentation. Loved it!

Yelp
I came here for just dessert and I was not disappointed!! The cheesecake was absolutely amazing and the portion was HUGE. It's a good idea to come here to split it with someone! This place is located in the Aloft hotel. It's not a huge restaurant but the staff was nice and helpful and the service was good. They have a lot of different drinks as well and crafted some pretty cool cocktails that was saw while we were dining! I recommend to check out this place if you want good food and an exciting experience.

Yelp
Typical Brazilian steakhouse place. We got a cheaper price thank to the Dine Out Boston deal, but it also comes with less options for meat, which is fine for us. Food overall is okay. The clam chowder side dish is very seafood-y, which I don't like. The service is not that great. I would recommend this place for Dine Out Boston price, but otherwise, I'd go some where else.

Yelp
Went during dine out Boston. Food is much better than fogo. Meat is more flavorful and cooked right, not too salty. The salad bar is also very good, especially the mushrooms, artichokes, and palm hearts. Picanha is the best meat, garlic sirloin, and cheese sirloin were also good. Lamb steak is okay.

Yelp
Never been to a Brazilian steak house before, but this was incredible. So incredible in fact, I came here twice in two days during my visit. This is a high quality dining experience. Salad bar isn't just your average salad bar. They have soups, specialty salads, and various meats and cheeses to choose from. The meat offerings also were incredible. I ordered a classic old fashioned the first night and a coffee old fashioned the second night. Each were expertly made. Service was kind, professional, and attentive, standard for the fine dining experience. Food of course killed (in the food way - lol). Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing service. Highly recommend! Best Brazilian food in town. Will definitely go back!

Yelp
The lamb was phenomenal as was the srhimp skewers. Brazilian bread is free and unlimited. The tres leches was the best I ever had. Stay away from the bacon wrapped jalapenos, they were awful. Drinks were excellent!! We sat outside with our dogs, most places in the area are not dog friendly so this earns them bonus points

Yelp
Waited 45 mins Then hurried us out. Fast food service Salad bar was ok. Was out in 30 mins. Too much money to be rushed out for the next table to be immediately sat on a date night.

Yelp
Went to Alma Gaucha for lunch on restaurant week, first time here. Beautiful dinning room. I asked about the different between restaurant week and their regular menu, was told seafood on their regular menu. We decided to get the regular menu because my wife wanted seafood. We got seated with Gobi as our server, she was wonderful, smile on her face. I think they worked as a team, because throughout our lunch all their staff comes by to clear our plates. They have a large selection of soup and salad bar. Halfway through lunch we still waiting for the seafood to come around. We decided to asked Gobi about the seafood and was told they only served on weekend. Gobi came back few minutes later and told us that the manager approved it. I really like the restaurant handle the situation and make it right for their customer. The front desk staff and the manager also came by to checkup on us. They brought salmon and a special plate of shrimp for us, perfectly cooked. They have non-stop meats coming by our table, we loved the bone in brisket. Thank you to Gobi for taking care of us, we will be back with our family and friends.

Yelp
Excellent food and exceptional service. Our waitress, Gabby, was great and made sure we had everything we needed. The entire staff was friendly and we wanted for nothing. The meat options were delicious 10/10 would recommend

Yelp
I absolutely love the food here. The service is incredible. The cheese bread is to die for, as well as their house meat. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, the food is amazing and so is the atmosphere. My wife and I cannot wait to go back! Love it!

Yelp
The food was good with lots of variety. However, the restaurant is understaffed. Several times, I had to wave at the waiter to get more meat, and every time I needed more water, I had to ask someone for it. They didn't do a good enough job ensuring customers had enough water, likely due to the restaurant being understaffed rather than the waiters' fault. Additionally, I found a hair in my food. I was dining alone, and my hair is dark brown. The hair I found (see picture) is yellowish at the root and black towards the end. I didn't raise the issue with the waiters because they were swamped, but this is something that the restaurant should be more mindful of in the future.
