Almaya

Love that we have a more casual Mediterranean restaurant in Lincoln Heights! I ordered the spicy creamy chicken plate and I was blown away. It was so flavorful, fresh, and filling! I could’ve cried eating it. Probably the best dish I’ve had among all the restaurants in the food hall where Almaya is located. Big shoutout to the warm, crispy pita bread that went great with the cold and fresh hummus. The complimentary pickled veggies were a nice touch. Almaya is a family owned small business and the owners and staff were really kind! Highly recommend.

I randomly decided to try Almaya a few of weeks ago, and I’m so glad I did! After ordering from them a couple of times, I can confidently say the food here is excellent. They have vibrant and unique flavors, hand made tortillas, and you can taste the great quality in every bite. I can’t wait to go back and try more menu times! 10/10

Really good fusion of Mexican and Mediterranean food. The birria burrito was delicious and the chicken schwarma burrito was just as tasty. The sauces that came with it was really good, especially the red and green ones. I think the orange one was a house made garlic aioli, which was not too bad either. Comes with complimentary chips on the side. Will definitely be coming back try the rest of the menu!

Friendly staff and the food is AMAZING! I have tried at least 50% of the menu and so far have nothing but praise for the chefs and staff. 🙌Breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong with Almaya. The aquas frescas are made in house from scratch using fresh fruits daily. Honestly the desserts are top notch. The rice pudding is by far the best in town!

Food was SO good! The chicken kabob and asada kabob were cooked really nicely and full of flavor, and the pita chips and handmade tortillas were soooo good (the tortillas were my fave). And the service was great - food came out quick and we even got a complimentary agua fresca (which was also really good). Staff was very kind. 11/10! (no photos bc the food looked and smelled so good we ate it right away)

The food is seriously delicious. Absolute hidden gem. Get any of the plates, and the burritos are also great.

Their seasonal salad was really good, and the cafe de olla is some of the best I've ever had.

Delicious food, quick service and really friendly staff! Their burritos are great! Definitely will be back to try more!
