Aloha Poke Co. Review - Loop - Chicago - The Infatuation

"You can’t run. You can’t hide. It’s taking over, and there’s nothing you can do about it. No, we’re not talking about crying MJ memes. We’re talking about poke bowls - the Hawaiian concept involving bowls of rice or salad piled with fresh fish and other tasty ingredients. Poke is already a full-fledged food group in LA, and it was only a matter of time before it made its way here. Aloha Poke has arrived to start the Chicago poke party. Aloha Poke is a stand inside the French market, which makes it ideal for a quick meal during the week. Take it to go, or grab a seat at one of the seating areas inside. They're keeping things simple by only offering two fish options, salmon and tuna, which come either soy marinated or plain. Put it on top of a base of rice or mixed greens, add any of the 12 toppings like jalapeño, pineapple, or seaweed, and then pick your sauce. Sure, it'll cost $15-$17 for the biggest size (which we recommend you get), but at the end of the day you have a pretty healthy and fulfilling meal that tastes great. We'd imagine that the logistical issues of getting quality, sushi-grade fish to Chicago are probably pretty complicated, but Aloha Poke has figured it out - both the salmon and tuna are really good. The bar has been set high for the influx of poke spots to come." - Sam Faye

Pokeworks closes its two Chicago restaurants - Eater Chicago

"It began gaining popularity in Chicago in the form of sushi bowls served over rice when another poke chain, Aloha Poke Co, opened its first fast-casual restaurant in 2015. It drew long lunch lines at Chicago’s French Market, and later ownership opened in Revival Food Hall in the Loop." - Ashok Selvam

Google Maps Review: “Aloha Poke Co. has been a game-changer for me this year. After a tough workout, their bowls are exactly what I need: fresh, flavorful, and packed with protein to keep me energized. 🥗💪 I love customizing my bowl with their wide range of toppings; the spicy tuna and avocado combo is my personal favorite. 🥑🐟 Plus, knowing they focus on sustainability makes it even better. 🌎♻️ It’s not just a meal; it feels like I’m making a healthier, more thoughtful choice every time I visit. Definitely my top pick for fresh and delicious food! 🍲✨”

Located inside Revival Food Hall. Mid fish and service. Ordered tuna and salmon which was not good quality fish. Tasted frozen, but the other condiments in my poke were relatively decent. Service was not friendly. Seemed like they are just there to be there. Someone else left a review stating it’s an easily accessible poke place…just not the greatest, and I completely agree. Only good thing I found truly was that they packed my container to the rim. Other than that, I’ll pass.

Went here for lunch when visiting Chicago. The food court was packed and this was one of the few locations that didn’t have a long line. I should have realized that was a sign that maybe this isn’t a place to go. Sadly I didn’t realize it. Food was ok, I didn’t get sick and the made the meal quickly but the service wasn’t really friendly or memorable. Had I not been planning to have a burger or pizza later I’d have chosen that instead.

Google
An average poké bowl joint with a good variety of offerings, not just for seafood lovers. I ordered the Ahi Tuna bowl which I topped with most of the ingredient options including jalapeños, onions, avocado, and pineapple. The portion seems small at first but it’s actually enough food for a quick lunch. Considering the area, the price isn’t too bad and it’ll satisfy if you want a quick, healthy lunch that’s totally customizable. Other poké places offer fresher ingredients and a bit more attention to detail, but it’s not bad at all.

Google
My Employer and also my favorite Grab-n-go spot at Revival food Hall. Not only is the food healthy, but it even looks good (see picture attached). You can mix-and-match to your heart's desire, and if your daring, you'll throw in a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie.

❤️ Vegan/vegetarian options available 😕 Meh value considering a small is $8 & might not be filling if you're hangry Visited past lunch hours, so there was no line for service 💯 Got the small tofu bowl & it was ok. A bit awkward to eat since it was filled to the brim & a petit portion, but they do offer larger sizes. I like the concept of Revival Food Hall - food court, except trendier. Can get noisy when packed, but offers a good variety for everyone. Would I return to Aloha Poke? Probably not.

Get this and you will not be disappointed * Brown rice + mixed green * marinated tuna + salmon * cucumber, onion, jalapeño, crunch, seaweed, scallions, ginger * crab salad * samurai * spicy aioli

Yelp
Aloha is great! The bowl I ordered was very fresh and flavorful, while not overdoing the sauce and drowning out the individual flavors. The ahi tuna tasted fairly fresh and the veggies were high quality (love the edamame). I had this delivered through my corporate delivery service, Fooda, and had no issues at all with the meal. Definitely a great option if you are looking for a healthier option that won't leave you feeling bloated and groggy after lunch.

Yelp
Very good quality poke bowl with lots of choices. I ordered the regular size and made my own; a mix of brown rice and lettuce as the base, then marinated tuna, edamame, pickled ginger and wasabi dressing. Delicious and super fresh, with the wasabi dressing offering a nice kick. Service was friendly and helpful. I'll most definitely be back.

Yelp
Tried Aloha Poke for lunch! Located in Revival Food Hall. This place gets very busy during lunch hours during the work week. I was actually very impressed at how fast the line moves and how fast you get your order once placed. The line was longer than the length of the line belts, yet I was in and out in less than 10 minutes! The staff was working very fast. The poke itself was decent. I wouldn't say it's the best poke I've had, but it was good. A little pricey at $13+tax/tip. Overall I enjoyed my first time at Aloha Poke!

Yelp
Every time I'm at Revival I end up going with Aloha Poke because it is just sooo tasty!! Tips: don't get the smallest size, it's way too small. Get as many side toppings as you like as there's no extra charge! Mix up two sauces for more flavor and two types of protein!! The seaweed salad is very good too, I get mine in the bowl. You can order ahead of time on the revival or ritual apps.

Yelp
I tried this poké place for dinner after work for a light meal. The portion size is rather small, so if you want a more filling meal I would recommend the largest size, which is the "kahuna." I was ok with the "big" size because I wanted a lighter meal. For reference, the "little" portion would maybe feed a young child. For my poké style, I went with the aloha poké bowl, but replaced the sesame vinaigrette with spicy aioli. Overall, I would give this place another try but tell them to go easier on the sauce next time.
google avatar

Ashley K.

Yelp
It's tasty but the portion size is absolutely pathetic. For 8 dollars I got literally 8 small pieces of fish. In California 8 bucks gets you a giant bowl with three big scoops of fish. Wow I'm shocked.

Yelp
Aloha Poke Bowl is yet another fine establishment in Revival Food Hall where you can have a delicious and fresh lunch in a lively atmosphere. All your decisions are made prior to entering the line, by filling out a slip of paper (which guides even the newest of n00bs, like me, step-by-step), which saves time and allows for your food to be ready for you very shortly after you pay. Their three sizes of bowls should satisfy any appetite and the options of fillings are top notch. They have pre-made options and also build-your-own from which to choose. Add a side, add a drink, and feast! Given that it's poke it can get pricey quick, but the food tasted fresh and delicious. And the largest size, the "kahuna" was very ample (even for me). The paying aspect is a bit confusing... I'm not sure how they match what you ordered to what you say you ordered (honor system, I suppose?) but shortly after paying your name is called and you're off. It's a solid system. Given the price point, as with any spot in Revival, it isn't going to be somewhere that is in my normal rotation. However, for special occasions, it has it's place. I'll certainly return to in the future.

Yelp
Decent poke. Portion are reasonable. I only wish they had a clear counter like 99% of other poke establishments, so you can see the ingredients as they being added to your bowl.
google avatar

Misty S.

Yelp
It was quick and it was delicious! There is a form you fill out for your order and then hand it over to the people behind the counter. I went with a big bowl (16oz) $9.50, white rice, naked salmon and crunch sauce. The sauce was amazing and they gave me a ton of fish. Compared to FineFin, I feel like I got more fish here, but they are both on par with each other. This place is located inside the Revival Food Hall across from the Antique Taco. There are plenty of seating if you want to eat in. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . ( ` - ` - ' - ' ' - - - ' ' ( _ / . _ ) - ' ( _ \ _ )

Yelp
Aloha Poke is rapidly becoming one of my regular haunts in the loop. There's usually a really long line, but it is a super quick one. This is because of the fact that at the beginning of the queue, there's order forms. You fill it out, and it to the employee, and by the time you pay your order is ready. I really like that you can customize your poke bowl however you want it, because I'm kind of picky when it comes to the suggested combos. My personal go-to for this place is white rice, marinated ahi, avocado, pineapple, seaweed, crunch, and tobiko with sesame vinaigrette. The ingredients are always fresh, and the portions are just enough where I'm full but not overly so. It's worth checking out, and I plan to come back often.

Yelp
Grab a sheet. Fill out what you want. Gotta choose em'all poke bowl? Aloha, you can do it. If you're dithering on whether you should get the small, don't. Spend the extra money for the volume increase. The medium is a decent size, but the small is barely a snack. I was impressed by the turn around. I barely paid for my bowl before I had it in my hands. Mad props on efficiency.

Yelp
While on my lunch break, I went taken to the Revival Hall to see what they had. I decided to have Poke for the first time, and I was in love!!!! Ooooh, it was goood!! Mine had ahi tuna, marinated shrimp, avocado, fish roe, seaweed, onions, aioli, wasabi, pineapple etc. All I can say is that it had a bunch of things, was spicy, sweet, and simply orgasmic! Highly recommended!

Yelp
I went here after work with the wife and had the tuna with crunchy option in the big size container. It was good. I was impressed with the Revival Food Hall. But it gets crazy busy at lunch and you have to get there at 11:15, which is annoying. I prefer to go after work. Back to the food. The tuna tasted fresh and was good, but no better than at your average sushi restaurant. The price is high as compared to the amount of food. I was not left hungry, but it felt like a snack as opposed to a meal. This place isn't going to work for the guys who want a massive plate of food at lunch. The price and portion size doesn't seem to stop anyone. I will probably be back.

Yelp
Oh man, it's been like five days since I ate my poke but I'm still thinking about it. I hate that last minute food impulse purchase/upgrade that I sometimes do. The plan in my head was really simple; get a medium size poke with naked fish that's lightly dressed. In other words, something healthy. But when I stood in line with the paper menu in my hand, I went for the Kahuna size with white rice, 808 (all of the toppings), marinated salmon and tuna dressed with volcano sauce and spicy aioli. But I'm so glad that I did because the end result was so tasty. If you have somewhat normal appetite, the medium is perfect because the kahuna was almost too much food. I personally didn't have a bad experience like other people did with the seafood in my poke. Both the tuna and salmon were fresh. Fresh enough for me to come back and grab another bowl.
google avatar

Yelp
Okay, I preface this review by saying that I have had poke in Hawaii and I make it myself too, so I'm a little picky! But I'm really happy that there are places to get it now aside from tiki bars and the like! And Aloha Poke is the genuine article. They use sashimi grade fish and other ingredients you don't see outside of the sushi restaurant too often (tobiko roe, sesame oil etc.) You can choose from the "House creations" where they have combined different ingredients already for you, or you can "Pack your own bowl" from a list of ingredients, which is what I did, to make it as close to the type I make (thus: marinated ahi tuna with white rice, maui onion, seaweed, jalapeno, sesame oil, and crunch, with spicy aioli on the side). It wasn't super crowded while we were there, but there was a little confusion of people getting the sheets on which you fill out for your order and then finding their way into line. Once they took your order, the wait wasn't long (on a Thursday afternoon). I think the only thing that was disappointing was that they didn't really blend the ingredients together; they were more stacked. I have never had a poke that wasn't sort of like a "tossed salad" where everything got mixed, but here it seemed that they were reading what was on the checklist and just piling them on top of one another. The bowl DOES get totally filled, which is nice, but that also means there isn't really room for you to "stir it up" either without making a mess (I had a crunch blowout anyway at our table). I will say that the Ahi tuna was excellent and was the highlight of the dish. I'm glad for this novelty, but maybe they'll mix it up next time!
google avatar

Liz M.

Yelp
Of the poke options in the loop, aloha is the most consistent quality by far. They have an efficient ordering process even for really busy lunch rushes, and they're quite fast at getting out orders. Ingredients are always fresh, and I've always thought their portions are really generous. I typically order through Ritual and pick up, but the ordering experience (standard Poke ordering where you fill out a little sheet with your order while you wait in line) is efficient and accurate as well. Know that this location can get really hectic at lunchtime so it may be best to order ahead if you don't have time to wait.

Yelp
I'm loving this new poke fad! As an addict of sushi, I fully appreciate this new fast and casual way of getting your sashimi and veggies - chipotle ordering style. The revival food hall is also the perfect spot, great for a quick but quality bite during lunch hour. I was super excited to try poke for the first time so I decided to get the 808, which includes all the ingredients. I got the big size with greens as a base, and I decided to go with the wasabi sauce because I felt like that would be true sushi style. The wasabi was definitely spicy though, so next time I'll be sure to try out some other sauces. All the ingredients were delicious and went very well all mixed together. I also got both ahi tuna and salmon to get the best of both fish worlds. I absolutely loved poke for a quick and casual meal, and I can for sure say that this will be my new go to for fast food! Sushi all day every day!
google avatar

Nerissa T.

Yelp
Being from the west coast, I'm happy to see that the poke trend has finally made it to Chicago. I've had my fair share of poke, from Hawaii to LAX, and obviously no poke spot can compare to the islands but Aloha will do! Anyways, this is a great spot for lunch. I've been to the West Loop French market location as well and this one is just as good. I usually get the 808 but decided to try something different today and got the crunch with marinated salmon & brown rice. The fish was very fresh and the toppings were tasty. I came around 1 pm on a Wednesday so there was a bit of a line, as expected, but it moved fairly quick. Smart idea to have people fill out their order first and hand it in. The big size is just the right amount of food for me. I'll definitely be back to grab another bowl!
google avatar

Yelp
First of all If it weren't for Ritual I wouldn't know that this place exists. And I've heard a lot about this from my colleague so I decided to give it a try. I was hesitant for my first try so I decided to go with the smaller size i.e 8 Oz. And my choice then was a crunch bowl. I get brown rice for the base and marinated salmon and chicken. I prefer not to stand in line as this place gets super busing during lunch. If you don't like sea food or cold salad type of foods you might not enjoy this thoroughly. I loved the lavori of sauce, meat and other ingredients. It tastes really good and I was sad that I got a small portion of it.Next time I got a big one though. If you don't want to choose from custom options, you can build your own. The crunch bowl is by far my favorite. The only thing I can't handle in that is the spice of jalapeños..LOL. This is a located in revival so if you are attempting to go there for lunch better go before noon or after if you want find a seat to sit there and eat. It gets crazy busy during the lunch hour(12 -1). Is highly recommend Aloha Poke :) Tip: portion of 8Oz will be less in general for a complete meal unless you have a soups or some other side to fill you up.
google avatar

David H.

Yelp
Delicious and not too expensive. The large bowl is $14 I think and you can pretty much get whatever you want in it. They don't skimp on the tuna/salmon as well as the other toppings, and this meal is very fresh and healthy. I think I tried volcano or some spicy ish sauce that was perfect on top of my bowl. Fill out a ticket, hand it in, and in a few minutes your bowl will be ready. Even when it is pretty busy the line here moves quick.
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
Oh my goodness. I had never had poke before visiting Revival a few weeks ago and I am hooked. It's basically deconstructed sushi, sort of like a burrito bowl but on a different level entirely. I ordered the medium sized bowl with ahi tuna and brown rice "Aloha" style (pineapple, cucumber, scallion - hold the jalapenos - maui onion, sesame vinaigrette) and added avocado. Just typing this review has my stomach grumbling. It was not at all expensive, very filling, and was perfectly done. This is another Chicago find that I need to steal away to Connecticut.

Yelp
Good stuff here! I came inside of the Revival Food Hall looking to try something new as I always default to the Budlong when I come as the hot chicken is pretty good and kinda irresistible. I walked around and saw Aloha Poke didnt have a line as they normally do...granted it was 4:50pm so maybe most were focused on getting home before the rain came down. I looked @ the wall menu to see what was good and noticed there was a table where people were filling out on a sheet what combo they wanted. I consulted with the staff on which direction I should lean. I decided to go with the bowl that was the level above the smallest and got it with brown rice, samurai sauce, chopped ahi tuna and all the toppings (I think they call it the 807 or something like that) which included seaweed, fish eggs, avocado, jalapeño and other goodies. Pretty good as I devoured with the quickness! I've had poke in Hawaii and this was almost as good as the stuff I had in Kaui about 6 years ago.
google avatar

Michelle Z.

Yelp
I found out about this place thanks to an app called ritual. The app has a deal for a dollar bowl till March 22 so I thought I would give this a try. Best one dollar I wasted so far this week because this was amazing! I got the shrimp bowl and it was so delicious and filling. Aloha poke is also located in this food hall which also has a very nice environment even though it was kinda busy when I went.
google avatar

Luke S.

Yelp
Pretty darn good! I've tried Poke only a handful of times, but it's the same flavor profile of sushi basically deconstructed. I can't for the life of me remember what I ordered, but it seemed to have a bit of everything. The flavors were great. My only complaint is that I probably spent $10-11ish and I was starving 30 minutes later. I guess sushi is typically expensive, but for a lunch option it's a bit much. Even still I'll be back for more.
google avatar

Natalie A.

Yelp
Aloha Poke has a very limited menu; however, what they do have is pretty good. The fish is fresh and the sauce combos pair nicely. While it's not three-dollar-sign expensive, it's one of those places where you need to like the food in order for the price to be worth it. One large bowl cost us a total of $22 including tip. For a place that is essentially fast food (there is a small standing bar but no actual seating - you order and go) it is certainly on the higher end price wise. We really enjoyed it and I would recommend anyone who likes sashimi or Hawaiian give this place a try.
google avatar

Katie E.

Yelp
I've started making Aloha a weekly lunch stop! The food I would give 5 stars, the flavors and the quality of the fish are outstanding. The one con I would have to say is the line.. they really need to set up two registers because that's where everything slows down. Food is still coming out fast, but you can only ring up one order at one time which makes for a long wait (even after 1pm!). I tend to lean towards the crunch bowl, and the little is perfect for me (so please stop asking if I know how 'little' the little is!:).) Another thing I have noticed is that they've started putting all the rice on one side of the bowl, and all the fish on the other.. making for one large bite of salmon and another mostly rice. This could be because they are trying to rush, but it definitely doesn't make for an ideal meal. Overall I will continue coming here for the fresh food and amazing taste.
google avatar

Janice L.

Yelp
This is my go-to spot at Revival Food Hall! The ingredients are always fresh and made to order. There are usually very long lines during peak lunch hours, but it generally moves pretty quick. You start by filling out an order form at the beginning of the line so you won't be stuck behind indecisive customers. I typically order the Big size (16oz for $9.50) which is the medium bowl, marinated tuna or salmon, and then pick the toppings I feel like having that day. If you don't want to make your own, there are also some pre-selected toppings options. General Tip for Revival: Come at an "off-hour" if possible to avoid lines and easily find a seat.
google avatar

Jen M.

Yelp
Trying this place for the 2nd time and all I have to say is, they need to get some better quality fish! It was AND still is very FISHY! The pieces are cut small and some of the salmon were not a bright, but dull orange color. You can immediately see those pieces were not fresh nor did they tasted fresh!!! I gave them 2 stars since their sauces and toppings are good, but I'm not sure if I'll come back for awhile. They really need to get this fish thing together! This is their PRIMARY ingredient, isn't it?!?
google avatar

William M.

Yelp
It's been said numerous times before- best poke in town; simple, delicious, and very fulfilling. Line can get a little long, but well worth it. The crunchy poke with marinated salmon is my favorite. Haven't had any better poke since trying aloha.
google avatar

Ryan C.

Yelp
Ordered a medium but the amount of fish was really small. I am glad that I did not get the small. The vegetables/toppings were plentiful. Not bad, but there was nothing that wowed me. What did I learn today? If you are looking for a healthy food option in the Market, this one is probably the best.
google avatar

Sierra G.

Yelp
Chicago seems to be late to the game with west coast food trends. Acai bowls, matcha, golden lattes, bulletproof coffee.....all take their sweet time making their way to the Midwest. The poke trend just seems to be getting off the ground and by the explosion of new places, it seems to be well received. Revival Hall is awesome (five stars, a review for another day!) and brings together so many amazing food concepts, Aloha Poke being one of them. Customize your base, pick your poke (naked or marinated) and go nuts with the toppings and sauces. The combination of textures and flavors are hands up-praise emojii worthy. Absolutely one of my favorite lunch options in the Loop. The line is often long, but moves quickly. They have a solid system where you order while in line and by the time you get to the front, your order is ready (think Which which ordering style).
google avatar

Aleks K.

Yelp
Top choice for me at Revival. After doing a quick lap and feeling like I didn't want something fried, poke seemed the best choice. I went for the BIG bowl with salmon, white rice and the Crunch pre-set of veggies and sauces. I added ginger, pineapple and avocado and asked for wasabi mayo on the side and it came out per-fect. I appreciate that they don't mash up the avocado but give you a wedge. I would recommend it and wish I could come back.
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
This place was delicious! I stopped here because their smallest little plate was as low a price as anything else in Revival. I forget exactly what I got, but it was delicious and refreshing. It just tasted clean and was a very refreshing lunch! The smallest portion looks puny, but it was enough for me for lunch (I'm a small guy anyways, if I'm honest). The people were friendly and it was easy enough to order. I actually got my food before I made it to the register to pay. It was certainly great quality food. I'm going back, for sure.
google avatar

Stacy D.

Yelp
I never tried this food stall when I'm in Revival because the lines are always crazy long, but actually the lines move very fast here. I got the medium sized bowl with tuna and the spicy mix-ins. I should have read the menu more because I hate pickled ginger and one of the major ingredients used in the spicy option is pickled ginger. Otherwise, enjoyed the food. My friend got the crunch and aloha I normally go to Firefin because it's just way closer to me. And I like Firefin better for the following reasons (1) Firefin has better bowls on the menu, where you don't have to build it yourself and think about what should go into your bowl (2) Firefin mixes the sauces and ingredients together for you before putting it into the bowl (3) Firefin's tuna quality is better.
google avatar

Daniela C.

Yelp
Came across this hidden gem today. I've always wanted to try aloha poké because of the cool pictures I've seen on instagram, but not only does the food look great it tastes great! It's located near big streets and it's not too difficult to find. The only thing that isn't cool about this place is that if you haven't been there before you might be confused on how to order.
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
So this is the third location of theirs in the city, and by far this was the best one I've been too. I came on a Tuesday evening around 4pm so the hall wasn't packed. I brought my friend here since she's never had poké before. Out of all the locations, this one gave me the most fish. I was quite surprised. The last few places overloaded my poké bowl with toppings or gave me mostly rice, but I received a good amount of both tuna and salmon here. And the fish was, of course, fresh. My friend got the same thing as me with a few additional toppings, and she devoured it. She fell absolutely in love. Verdict: I will most likely be coming back to this location. I had good service and, duh, a good bowl of poke.

Yelp
Awesome lunch spot. The wasabi sauce lives up to its name. The vegetables are fresh and crunch and the fish was fresh. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Had the crunch bowl and it packed a lot of flavor and texture! Got mine with salmon and dressed chicken and was very satisfied.

Ah ha, at last! I have made my way to get my FIRST EVER poke. It seems to be all the rage now or at least it used to be. I don't have any experience eating poke prior to this, just to get you know. This place is located in the Revival food court towards the back. I was so excited to try this place! So, I decided to get the size 'big' since I had a small snack before then. You are able to customize your bowl or pick one of their specialty. Just fill out the sheet and hand it to them. It is easy as 1-2-3. I decided to make my own. White rice, naked tuna, volcano sauce, cucumbers, uh not sure what else. Service wise, very friendly and sweet. The interaction wasn't much though, but it was plesant. They have utensils provided for your dine in or take out. Now, my first two bites were very tasty! They did not skimp on the sauce at all. Now, when I dug deeper into the bowl, I was little worried. I ate the tuna and it tasted....strange. Is this how not fresh fish taste like? I saw that there was some 'PINK' rice in my bowl from the tuna. Is this normal? Is it suppose to be like this? At this point, I was pretty turned OFF by it. My taste buds didn't like it. My eyes didnt like it. Instantly, my appetite went away. I took the rest to go hoping maybe I would eat it later, but ended up throwing it out. I will try poke again, but not in this location

Yelp
I recently went to the Aloha Poke in the French Market and was blown away by the quality of the bowl I received. The tuna was generous and it seemed like a good value. Tonight I ordered an Aloha bowl at the Revival Hall location. For the price, $16 with tax, the tuna was really sparse. The whole thing just sort of seemed thrown together and it didn't come with the avocado I requested and the jalapeños still had all the seeds in them--oof! I don't mind spending that much if the food is made with care, but it seemed like I spent a premium price for less than grocery store quality.

Yelp
In case the long lines during lunch aren't any indication and you need me to tell you this place is good...it is! The line moves quickly and they have a good variety of choices. Tasty and delicious. I ended up getting a larger portion to have a decent lunch and late afternoon snack.

Yelp
Please open a location in the northwest suburbs! The poke bowl was yummy! Order one of theirs or pick your own combo. The long lunch line goes quick. This will probably be a once a week lunch destination! So good and the price is reasonable. The vintage hall is a super neat place with a good vibe.

Yelp
Not bad for poke but a little overpriced. Came to the Revival food hall for lunch on a work day. Revival is essentially a cafeteria for young professionals working downtown. The food hall has a good selection of cuisines and I'm tempted to come back again for the other joints. Now, Aloha. You order at the beginning of the line, a friendly waiter will help you out if it's your first time. Choose the size of your bowl, the stuff you want inside, and the sauce. I had the white rice base, marinated tuna + salmon, and the aloha house bowl that has a sesame vinaigrette. When I got my food, I was a little disappoint at the serving. It came with not very much protein and I felt like I overpaid for my bowl. I was mostly eating white rice and some cucumber. The flavors of the ingredients didn't have synergy, even though they are relatively fresh.

Yelp
Update- owner reached out to me personally to ensure it was made right. Of all the negative reviews I've ever posted - he is the only one to reach out and make sure it was resolved. Great customer service!!

Yelp
Delicious fresh fish! This place is where I fell in love with poke. The salmon- I get it naked not marinated- is fresh and very good. I generally put it on rice. I get almost all of the toppings they offer and through on some samurai sauce for good measure. This isn't your traditional pre made poke that has already been marinated with all of its flavors mixed together. The reason I like it is how customizable the food is. You can get exactly what you want and no matter what you choose you will have a delicious time. The wait is long but it moves quickly at revival and if you get it to go you can get in and out in about 30 min.

Yelp
The only complaint I have about this place is that everyone else loves it & that can make the line at lunch time untenable. To be fair, they've stepped up how they process their line that makes it a little easier to justify heading to Revival at the peak of lunch time. If you can hold off until after the rush, I would highly recommend it. Customize your bowl however you want. There are a ton of options. I know poké has become a huge craze in Chicago as of late, but this has remained the most consistently good place to go.

Yelp
service has gotten super fast now that there are so many locations in the area. Every time I've been line is under 5min and wait is under 3. Everything is always fresh, made in front of you, and as good as ever. Of most poke places, Aloha Poke locations are the only ones that let you mix and match proteins and put as many veggies (even avocado) withoht charging extra. The price is standard per the size of the bowl.

Yelp
Another overpriced food joint inside the Revival Food Hall. Poke places are popping up all over and it's becoming challenging to tell them apart. But an offering from this one was fairly memorable for the extra chewy pieces of raw fish supplied that I was forced to evacuate to out of my mouth in full view of my lunch companion.

Yelp
This is a smaller outpost of Aloha Poké, located in the new Revival Food Hall in Chicago's Loop central business district. The location is very convenient for lunch, and the lines are not too long if you time it right. GOOD: Excellent customer service, fast preparation, several good options to customize. I like the simplicity of the menu, with no hidden charges for add-ons. BAD: Rotten fish is a deal-breaker. I had the marinated ahi tuna and my wife had it plain. Both were at least a couple of days past rank, and I'm hoping we don't get sick. We both eat raw fish all the time, and have not any this bad in a while. Super sloppy, and almost worthy of a call to the Health Department. It's going to be a while before I'm brave enough to eat here again.

Yelp
Paltry portions, poor fish:toppings ratio, perfunctory service.
