The 38 Essential Restaurants in Las Vegas

"The story of Aloha Specialties dates back to 1975, when casino magnate Sam Boyd opened the California Hotel and Casino in downtown Las Vegas. After moving from Honolulu to Las Vegas, Boyd set about making the Cal a home away from home for Hawai’i natives. Today, Aloha Specialties at the Cal helps secure Las Vegas’s affectionate status as the Ninth Island, a nickname designated by the city’s significant number of Hawaiian visitors and residents. The restaurant reliably makes juicy shredded Kahlúa pork, steaming saimin bowls, pleasantly salty Spam musubi, teriyaki plates, creamy scoops of mac salad, and a mountain of gravy-laden loco moco for Hawaiian natives located across the lower 48." - Janna Karel

The Best Hawaiʻian Breakfasts in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"The California Hotel in Downtown Las Vegas is often regarded as one of the driving forces behind the large number of Hawaiian tourists and residents in Las Vegas. Unsurprisingly, there’s not shortage of Hawaiian restaurants inside the historic property. For breakfast, diners can head to Aloha Specialities for loco moco, eggs, and rice with Spam or a three-egg omelet with green onions and Spam or Portuguese sausage." - Krista Diamond

Google
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. It's a great place to enjoy a home style meal. Located in the California Hotel and right across the sky bridge from its sister property the Main Street Station Hotel, Aloha Specialties serves delicious Hawaiian cuisine. I stayed here for EDC and this is a great place to fuel up before the festival. All the food here is very delicious and most importantly filling. It's more than enough to get you through an entire night of partying under the electric sky. This is a quick service restaurant so you order at the counter and pick a table and they bring out your food. The service is very friendly and quick. They also have a soda machine with unlimited refills which as a thirsty MFer I love. It's a small restaurant but they have enough seating and there's some tables outside. I highly recommend dining here.

Google
I entered irritated cause they opened the door 2 minutes after 9am— you could say I was hangry— but totally forgot about it when I got my breakfast plates haha. I loved the simple spam musubi and Mac and of course loved the Portuguese sausage platters. The staff don’t seem to have the aloha spirit.. but maybe cause it’s 9am in the morning and didn’t have their coffee yet.. or cause they moved from Hawaii long time. I noticed a lot who’s lived here adapt the stand off ish attitude which is understandable to survive here. The customers who’s visiting from Hawaii definitely have more of the aloha spirit and make up the vibe of this place.

Google
Aloha specialties is the place to go for Hawaiian fair. I see many islanders and Filipino customers at this spot. Because when you know you know. If you’re down in the Fremont Street area head over here for a good breakfast or lunch. I got the local plate with the teriyaki beef, chicken and musubi. It came with a good macaroni salad as well. It’s a stand in line and order place; then you find a table. It’s on the second floor of the California Hotel and casino. Have a great lunch and go explore the Fremont Street experience and surrounding areas. Just be watchful this is downtown.

Anthony Gomez

Google
So first off to get to this restaurant you haft to go into the casino on the corner, not the circa but the California one and hit the escalator and it’s gonna be on the second floor by an ice cream shop called Vegas 808 and you’ll see it right across from that spot It was a bit busy like how most good places are and service was excellent and they have a small patio and a good amount of chairs and seats and the food was amazing! Some of the best Hawaiian food I’ve ever tried so I will definitely be returning back when I’m in Vegas

Hani Kassim

Google
Good affordable Hawaiian food on Fremont with a cozy environment. Update: Adjusted my rate, as despite the higher prices, portions are getting smaller considerably. Also, some waitresses lack social skills, dealing with customers

Samantha Grunow

Google
I wish Hawaiian restaurants were more popular where Im from... This was definitely the best Hawaiian food I've had since visiting there in 2021. The kalua pork: absolutely delicious, the loco moco; nostalgic, and the Kfc: exactly as I like it :) very affordable for Vegas, too. I strongly recommend a visit!

Google
We love Aloha Specialties and have been going here off and on for 15 years. Everything we have ordered here has been tasty, large portion sizes, and cooked to order. The Spicy Korean Chicken is my goto and I recommend getting it crispy, sloppy style (they add the spicy sauce over the rice). The rice bowls with veggies and chicken are also goto dishes, and who amongst us doesn't love a Loco Moco? This place will get busy at times, and you may wait a bit, but don't let that deter you from trying this establishment. It will be worth the wait.

Google
Was introduced to Aloha Specialities by our friend and local Vegas residents back in 2011. His fave was "Flash", aka the Beef and/or Chicken rice bowl, priced at around $5.50 then. This was always the first and last place we ate at on our annual Vegas visit. Today, we treated our friends to eat, for 4 of us totalling about $34.00. Still reasonable and still delicious! Staff is always friendly and food comes out promptly, hot and plentiful. This place remains one of our favorites!

Yelp
Came to Fremont Street and looking for something to eat. Most things didnt seem appealing to us or were pricey; luckily we stumbled upon this place. They had so many Hawaiian dishes to choose from Loco Moco: Superstar! Super comforting and delicious! Sainin (5/5): Cane in a super big bowl! I really recommend y'all to share. Check this place out!

Yelp
I would say four and one half stars. Read on: The California, aka "The Cal" is very popular with people from Hawaii, so it's a safe bet this place knows what it's doing when it comes to food served on the islands. If you enjoy this kind of food or just want to try some, this is the place to go downtown. The drill is you order and pay at the counter, they give you a number, and they bring your food to your table when it's ready. It's casual within reason. I wouldn't show up looking like a slob first impressions being what they are. I chose the Kalua Pork and cabbage served with mac salad and rice . I know this dish well, and it was spot on. It's a lot of food, so bring your appetite if you order this. This place reputedly gets very crowded at peak times. I arrived at 1:30 p.m. for a late lunch without any wait. The prices are reasonable for Vegas. Alcohol is not served if that matters to you. Cheers!

Yelp
Aloha Specialties is always and I mean always my first stop when I visit Las Vegas. Affordable and extensive menu full of combination plates like my fave teri chicken/mahi mahi/teri beef over huge bed of rice w perfect Mac salad, Hawaiian staples like authentic chicken teri rice bowls, saimin noodles, and of course you gotta have a spam musubi. Friendly staff, prompt, clean service, plenty of seating inside and outside the café.
google avatar

Wendoline B.

Yelp
The service is amazing every time we come. They keep the dining area super clean and they have a speedy kitchen crew - we've never waited more than 10 minutes for our food. The food is great, I recommend getting the bowls for a budget friendly meal as the combos are almost $20 each.
google avatar

Yelp
The place to go if you're craving comfort food. Rice, eggs and a protein. That's what I call breakfast! There are other options on the menu, but we tend to order rice and eggs. If you're able to arrive before 12pm, then the line should be short and tables are plenty. Otherwise, you're there with the lunch crowd. Enjoy!
google avatar

Kainani K.

Yelp
The food was fast and delicious! The only thing I wish they had is French fries for my cheeseburger.. the saimin made up for it though.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place. If you are nearby, you won't regret stopping here. Everything is yummy. Takes you back to the island for a moment while you savor every bite of your meal. Too recommendations would be the Kahlua pork, loco moco, and the Aloha Mixed Plate with the yummy grilled ahi fish!
google avatar

Yelp
This spot reminds of Hawai'i diners like Zippy's and Liliha Bakery. I was a little bummed to learn that they don't take the meal coupons that you can use when staying at the California Hotel. But, overall was still pleased with my experience. My partner and I visited at about 9am and it wasn't crowded at all. The options/menu are simple and easy to choose from. I enjoy savory dishes even for breakfast so I went with the chopped steak while my partner got her usual eggs and vienna sausage. It definitely feels like back home. The plates were huge especially with rice and can easily be shared between two people, they have a sign at the register to request half rice. My chopped steak was delicious especially with the Mac salad and tobasco. My partner also enjoyed her breakfast. Looking forward to eating here again for a quick bite next time we're in Vegas.

Yelp
Service friendly, efficient, and fast for cook to order meals. Flavors were on point and very onolicious! It wasn't very busy considering it was EDC weekend but fairly steady while we were there. Tables available inside and the 4 "outside" ones were very popular...very grateful we were able to get one of them. Highly recommend to get your grinds here when in Downtown LV and/or staying at The California.

Yelp
As a tradition within our family, this place is always our last meal before we hit the freeway back to LA. Located on the 2nd floor of the California hotel and casino. This place is comfort food paradise with the menu full of Asian, Pacific islander goodies. Our brunch today consist of soup noodles, teriyaki chicken, loco moco and macaroni salad. Happy to say everything tasted great, portions were slightly smaller than I remembered, but I think that's everywhere we go nowadays. Staffers were all nice, friendly and helpful. We'll be back, when we come back out to vegas again.

Yelp
A taste of Hawaii while in Las Vegas. Yes, at times there will be quite the line and you will wait to place your order, but that line is there for a reason. Take a look at the customers eating there and be assured that this is the real deal. The portions are generous and the food is quite tasty. I stop here every time I pass through the area.
google avatar

Keven W.

Yelp
We went here as I saw this on the way to the walkway to Main Street Casino. You can not use your Boyd Rewards here unfortunately, but I wanted to eat here anyways. Come here hungry as the portion sizes are huge. I ordered the Korean chicken which comes with mac salad. I opted for less rice. I wish they gave us more mac salad though. The Korean which was good and moist. There was nothing dry. I got three big pieces of chicken and was stuff. My wife got a bento like tray where you can try everything. The food was bad really quickly. This place does get really busy

Yelp
Eater Vegas 38 Essentials. HAHAHA!!! Are you kidding?!? First, story time. Shhhh, I'm born and raised in Hawaii and I hate the Cal. Waiting for friends, I take a seat with other Hawaii locals at a Pai Gow table. Requisite "where you from?" Hilo, Kihei, Mililani. The table is losing but I notice my hands are better than most so "can I bank?" Instantly, "you live Honolulu or wat, Kahala?" "You staying Aria?". Whatever. That said, prior to this recent forced visit, the last I ate here was 25 years ago. Look, Eater, I'd agree but we'd both be wrong. Brah, Spam musubi supposed to only get eight slices Spam from one can. Not 16. Thinnest spam EVER! Brah, two scoops rice and one mac salad. Not dakine gelato scoop. Tight on the cheap stuff. Brah, teri chicken supposed to be more than one thinly sliced chicken thigh. Enough!!! Hawaii is expensive but when it comes to food, we are generous. Tight portions of commercially packaged food is not what local 808 flavors are about. Market all you like, pretending you're catering to Hawaii visitors? A joke.
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
This is not your typical Hawaiian food for mainlanders. This must be Hawaiian food for Hawaiians? Gave this place a try while in Downtown Vegas with kids as our boys love Spam musubi. They were not a fan. Saw this place on Yelp with good reviews. Made our way up to second floor of California Hotel Casino. The place had a lengthy line and wait for food which got me to think it was worthwhile to dine. The staff were courteous and friendly. The food was not what I expected, no Hawaiian barbecue, no katsu, etc to be found. The macaroni salad was bland and dry. Felt the food was a bit pricey.
google avatar

Lynelle M.

Yelp
I don't know what happened to this place, but OMG! $18 for the worst Chopped steak ever! It used to be delicious, but this was way before covid.
google avatar

Jessi Lynne B.

Yelp
First time in a long time that I've stopped in here because it's always busy but for good reason. Located on the second floor of the California Casino and you can't miss it if you're going to walk through to Main Street Casino. Made it in about an hour before closing for dinner. Prices are similar to Hawaii plate lunches and they give a lot of food and have refillable fountain drinks. Workers are welcoming and service was fast. The Spicy Korean chicken was delicious with mac salad. Makes me feel right at home. Casual vibe with plenty seating inside and a couple tables outside the restaurant but still indoors. Stop in for some local grinds.
google avatar

Zachary D.

Yelp
Solid Hawaiian spot in Vegas for a no frills comfort food brunch spot. Personally wouldn't have it over some of the places I've had in California or Hawaii, but when in Vegas and trying to fulfill a craving? Did the job.
google avatar

Wayne G.

Yelp
I've come to Aloha Specialties with my family a long time ago. Its been a great Hawaiian treat during our trips to Downtown LV. You get a lot of food for the price, and the price is very reasonable. Lately my visits have been for their breakfast. I enjoy getting the Aloha breakfast which consist of spam, Portuguese sausage, Vienna sausage and a large heaping of rice. It really hits the spot and makes you feel at home. I would say, if you are a rice lover, this is definitely a place for you. Warning: You may get food coma after your meal. Parking: Paid private structures VERDICT: Rinse and repeat
google avatar

Jessie G.

Yelp
We ordered 2 mac salad and 1 kitchen to-go. We got 1 mac salad and 2 kimchi and didn't discover it until we got back to the valet. It was too much to have the valet guy repark the car and haul it upstairs, so we just went home sad.
google avatar

Yelp
I was staying at the Cal for the weekend. One of things why I stay there is the Wonton Min from Aloha Specialties. Living in Southern California it's hard to find real good Wonton Min. In fact it's hard to find just good Saimin. Unfortunately, the last time I was in Vegas Aloha was out of Wonton Min. In fact, leading up to my recent visit my friends were both in Vegas at different times in December and visited Aloha and they were out of Wonton Min as well. Needless to say I was thinking it was bad timing for them. So when I was there is past weekend they were out all 4 days I was there. I'm not sure if they changed owners or not, but I'm noticing even the quality of their other food isn't what it used to be. Again, one of the major reasons I stay at the Cal is for the food from here. Since the quality of the food isn't what it used to be and now they don't even serve my favorite dish I'm thinking of changing hotels when I'm visiting. Just to let you know, you've all been warned.

Yelp
Haven't been here for a while but local kind of food if your craving home food away from home . Located on the mezzanine level in the California Hotel. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner . System at this restaurant is you order your food then they will give you a number and someone will deliver the food to your table Service is pretty quick . Support local
google avatar

Yelp
Large portions, great food, good price, tons of seating. Located close to Fremont Street
google avatar

Vincent G.

Yelp
came here to try their breakfast but found you can't substitute or really mess with any of the local deluxe breakfast style plates. Ended up getting the aloha dental instead, and it was quite flavorful. Although the beef was a bit fatty and places. Didn't seem too busy considering it was just before lunch. There's ample dining area and it seems like it would be a good spot for take out. Service is friendly and food comes out fast.
google avatar

Victoria E.

Yelp
This a place you have to try while in downtown Vegas. You wait in line to order and prices are so low. Tables available. Polynesian at its best. Of course we get the Loco Moco, spam Musubi, and Macaroni salad. Loco moco is a hamburger patty over rice with gravy and an egg over easy. So yummy. Drinks are self serve. Once you order at the counter a very nice lady brings you your meal hot cooked to order
google avatar

Siaosi L.

Yelp
I don't get good Hawaiian food in Los Angeles and this place is always on point. Service is always good, good food quality, great vibe and affordable prices. They have a variety of dishes and items to choose from & the mac salad is delicious. I love it here cause of the food and prices can't go wrong!
google avatar

Jazzy S.

Yelp
We came in mainly to get parking validated, but were excited to try some good Hawaiian food. Ambiance is a fast casual Hawaiian diner style. Staff was friendly, but when we asked for recommendations for authentic Hawaiian food they recommended Korean chicken. - Aloha bento (4/5): Great variety, large portions, but pretty pricey. The beef was tender and great flavor. Chicken was tasty as well. - Loco moco (4/5): Pretty basic, what you would expect. Savory gravy, lots of rice. Would order again.
google avatar

Martin S.

Yelp
Just what I expected. This is a half step above fast food as far as the look of the place goes. Wait in line, order at the counter, get your own drink, sit down and your food comes out on disposable dishes. The food though was great. We had tuna poke and loco moco, both were quick, flavorful and served at the ideal temperature. Would not hesitate to go there again.

Yelp
Still pretty decent Aloha eats! 3 1/2 stars! Been a while since we been to Aloha Specialties for a meal, but we were downtown that weekend and just had that craving for some local food! Was early enough to make it for a late lunch! Line is still pretty long wait to order food, but das OK...we wait! The prices have changed quite a bit thanks to inflation, but the majority of the menu after the remodel a few years back have stuck! We went pretty basic this time around: -Combo Bowl (chicken & beef), add Mixed Vegetables -Shoyu Chicken (daily special) Put in order, then paid, took a number, then took a seat! Gotta admit, I often miss those smells from the kitchen of local Hawaiian food cooking! Oh those mixed plate memories! Our order came out in not too much time at all, probably around 20 minutes. Nice & hot! Wifey's Combo Bowl is one to count on - still pretty consistent after all that time! Layer of white rice on the bottom, decent serving of chicken & beef, then a layer of mixed veggies that included onions, celery & bean sprouts. All topped off with a generous douse of their house teriyaki sauce! And do I like their teriyaki sauce! The Shoyu Chicken came on a plate with a fat serving of rice (just enough extra LOL), and a healthy scoop of their mac salad. Combo Bowl was nicely cooked, chicken & beef tenderized enough, veggies cooked with just a bit of bite left for texture, and that sweet teriyaki sauce on top just pulls it all together! Dish was a bit too sweet for wifey's liking, she would rather have the teriyaki sauce on the side for dipping. Other than that it was good! The Shoyu Chicken I had was to-the-bone tender, seemed to be simmered for a long time...the way it should be! I liked the sauce as well - a bit salty, a tad sweet, a hint of tart. Good to sop up the rice with! I do like their basic mac salad as well - just mayo, grated onion & salt. This way I get to add my taste to it make it a flavor bomb LOL! Shoyu, pepper & Tabasco, baby! BOOM! Ready to eat! Overall a decent meal, just wish the prices were a shade more reasonable. But that's par for the course, price increases on food costs & labor means all those get passed down to the end consumer. We'd still eat at Aloha Specialties in a pinch though if we're in Downtown Las Vegas!
google avatar

Kyla R.

Yelp
I ordered their special which is the Grilled Saba. The Grilled Saba comes with Max Salad, Rice, Takuan, and Pickled Red Ginger. The Saba was good, but it had way too much bones in it. I wish it was boneless. As for portion size, they gave alot of rice. Overall, this place is alright.
google avatar

Herbert L.

Yelp
Got back from shopping at the Outlets and Trader Joe's in Las Vegas. I was hungry and we wanted some quick. We found Aloha Specialties offered some local comfort food. Can't bear the value of their chicken & beef combination bowl with teriyaki sauce for $8.25 Dine in or take out back to your room. Service was quick and friendly.
google avatar

Latasha P.

Yelp
This place is one of my favorite restaurants downtown! I have been a loyal customer for 25 years. The teriyaki chicken bowl is a favorite staple and reasonably priced. The owner and staff always provide a welcoming/friendly atmosphere. I recommend this place to anyone who want to try excellent Hawaiian food.
google avatar

Vema G.

Yelp
Our go to for a good Hawaiian meal when we're in Vegas. The portions are plenty. A must try. Just don't mind the rudeness of the guy when you order. He doesn't seem to have the "aloha friendliness". Not sure if he even likes his job.
google avatar

Donkalo R.

Yelp
They close early. I enjoyed my loco moco very filling but light. Atmosphere is basic simple cafe style. In the California casino. Service is very friendly and attentive. My go to for Hawaiian
google avatar

Ben C.

Yelp
We're been going to Aloha Specialties for over twenty years. I have to agree with many reviewers the food quality has gone down. The food is okay but not the true Hawaiian taste and flavor I remembered from the islands. Service is good depending on the staff member. The teriyaki chicken rice bowl was fine. The gravy on my chicken rice bowl was too thick and lukewarm only. The macaroni side salad had too much mayonnaise and too little celery bits. There aren't any places nearby for island styled food so Aloha Specialties would be the closest choice if the island is calling.
google avatar

Krysten I.

Yelp
Aloha Specialties is one of those places I've walked by so many times but have never actually been to until recently. Why? Idk... when I'm in Vegas, I don't want to eat food that I can get at home... I want to eat at the famous Vegas buffets, get legit Mexican food; id even prefer chipotle over a place like Aloha Specialties because I can't get chipotle at home. But we ended up here one day after losing money at the cal all day (not everyone...just me. In fact someone won a million dollars the day we were here). Aloha specialties is located on the second floor of the cal and they offer plate lunches and food you can get at take out places in Hawaii. There is usually a line, but there are plenty of tables to eat at. My husband ordered a teriyaki chicken plate and gave me half because I was still kind of mad about losing a meal to this place, but he knew I was hungry lol. It was surprisingly good! The chicken was cooked well, not overdone and it came with a lot of veggies. We were both pretty full after eating only half and I don't think we even finished it all. I'd probably be back. My husband enjoys staying at The Cal and now that I know that their food is pretty good, I would go back to try other things.
google avatar

Yelp
Good local food right in the hotel! Workers super friendly ... food delicious especially when you need your saimin fix! Quaint so atmosphere was spot on!

Yelp
The place to go downtown Las Vegas for an authentic ono lunch plate like you would get in Hawaii without taking an airplane trip. I was staying in the Fremont area at Plaza hotel and noticed this spot was open and .01 miles from me. It is 106 outside today but feels like actual melting of the soul in the sun. I was able to navigate directly across to Circa (have your ID ready, then carry on through blessed air conditioning of the casino and head out the back entrance to Cross the street to California. This spot is up the stairs and is right across the hall from two more Hawaiian places - a crack seed shop (or that's what we called it as kids?) With all of your Li Hung Mui candy favorites, and Lappert's Ice Cream. Aloha Specialites itself has some seating inside and in the hallway. I got the local plate with had some Korean chicken, teriyaki beef and a scoop of mac salad and two Spam Musubi. I ordered extra Japanese pickles on the side and the whole shabang was definitely enough for 2 people for $22. I ate half and took the rest to go for dinner. The actual food - Korean chicken was good. Mac salad, musubis and pickles amazing. I also noticed the ala carte price for musubis was better than ABC nearby on Fremont. The teri beef was dry. I will absolutely be back and order other things too and will repeat on the pickles. There are plenty of things to love about this spot . The wide variety of specific dishes are rarely available in the states outside of a Pacific Islanders festival, backyard Luau or Fire Knives competition. I noticed the breakfast menu has portuguese Sausage and one of the plates included a Redondo hot dog. That is so Hawaii to me. I commonly make my family chili hot dogs over rice. A lot about it feels like home to me. I thought it was nice you could order a side of gravy. They also had haupia -wow. There is also some slight room for improvement. They should sell canned Hawaiian Sun. The workers are socializing teens standing around and got a little distracted and did not add my fountain drink to the order. The teriyaki beef was dry. I do not recommend it. Maybe they could add chicken long rice to menu. I think the atmosphere could be improved with some Hawaiian music playing, Island mural art and some ceiling fans. Overall I feel it is a must for those missing the non-tourist traditional island foods who are hungry in Freemont.

Yelp
Was not sure what to eat so I decided to go back to my safety net! I walked in at the perfect time, I was the only one in line. Service was fast, food was delicious and the server was very friendly! Back to the casi

Yelp
Enjoyed an early dinner here on a Saturday around 5pm. The place was already busy and the line to order was a little long but it went fast and the food comes out quick as well. The cashier who took our order was super friendly. My cousin had the Spicy Korean Chicken which I tasted and was very good. It came with rice and mac salad. I had the Teriyaki Beef Bowl which comes out on a plate and I thought the portions for a "bowl" were pretty big. The Teriyaki Beef was delicious and I ordered a side of Mac salad which was also good. Lots of families dining when we went so a very upbeat atmosphere. Great place when craving Hawaiian Food!

Yelp
Food was amazing. Basic but delicious. I would come back for sure. Hot tea cures the hangover.

Yelp
Come here whenever it's convenient while visiting Vegas to eat tripe stew. It is consistently good, filling the void of Hawaiian food while on the mainland. The portion of stew has progressively gotten smaller and smaller and the rice has grown larger and larger. The gravy/stew is delicious though so you can't help eating a bunch of the rice. Service was quick. Restaurant is the same hole in the wall on the second floor as it's always been. Clean, welcoming, but spartan. Will probably be back the next time I'm in downtown Vegas but maybe won't go out of my way next time.

Nick P.

Yelp
Huge portions, small prices! I come here for bfast every time I'm in town. The loco moco is huge and hits nice after a long night of blackjack and drinking

Yelp
Aloha Specialties has become a favorite of my family & I. They have remained consistent and affordable. Items tried and liked (so far): Saimin Won Tun Min Mahi Mahi Garlic Chicken Teriyaki Chicken Spicy Korean Chicken Teri Beef Sandwich Chicken Bowls Hamburger Steak Sweet and Sour Spareribs Loco Moco Employees are always nice & helpful. Inside is clean with ample seating. They can get pretty busy so we try to go during off hours. Validation available when you park at the California and spend $30. Bring receipt & parking ticket to Boyd Rewards to get validated. Be sure to swipe validated parking ticket at parking kiosk in lobby of parking garage elevators. Hope you decide to give them a try!

Yelp
I have been going to this please for 20 years. I notice since the price are going up.... The quality of the food is going down. I miss the old aloha specialties food when it was amazing. It's so sad!!!!

Yelp
Aloha Specialties must be doing something right, as the place was jam packed and had long lines comprised of primarily Hawaiian transplants during lunch hour. The food is all tasty, with really great portions, and at reasonable prices. Loved the spam musubi, mahi mahi, and the mac salad. The people who worked there were all so incredibly friendly too, keeping the lines moving fast. If you're in the Fremont Street area and craving some Hawaiian food, Aloha Specialties is where it's at!

Yelp
Provender: this is a great Hawaiian restaurant, located in the California Hotel and Casino. It's in downtown Las Vegas, so if you're in the area and craving good Hawaiian food this place will satisfy your craving. Prices: reasonable for the amount of food you receive. Most items are under $20. Parking: the Cal offers valet parking. People: fun for all. Perks: this restaurant is located on the second floor. It's best to take the escalator up and veer right. Service is great with friendly staff. Portions are generous.

Yelp
We saw that the place wasn't packed and decided to have dinner here. Hubby ordered the Wonton Min and I ordered the Korean Chicken plate. The guy working the register was hustling taking orders and packing up orders to go. There was a petite girl bringing food out to guests sitting at the tables waiting for their orders and a taller girl standing behind the counter. Hubby's order came out first and I told hubby to go ahead and eat while it was still hot. That is when he noted that both the noodles and won ton needed to be cooked longer as it was too al dente, the soup was bland and needed the shoyu/mustard to add flavor, and it was also lukewarm/hot as if it came from the kitchen pipe and not a boiling pot. After hubby finished his meal, we noted that two groups that ordered after us were getting their food. Hubby went to the counter to check on my order and was told that it was still being worked on and would be out soon. We ended up getting it to go. My chicken had enough flavor but was a bit tough/chewy. Overall, if you want to eat at the same time as others in your group, everyone should order the same thing as the lengthy delay in plate orders over noodles has happened to us a few times before. The food is okay and not something we would crave. Also noted that they had a lot of takeout orders as well as hotel employees stopping by to pick up multiple orders. Service is mixed as the guy and petite girl employees were the only two in the front hustling to take care of the orders even though there were three people working.
