"Alpenblick proposes two exciting dining options: there is the lively bistro, where you can tuck into down-to-earth cuisine such as steak tartar or Wiener schnitzel, or you can head to Stuba for its ambitious, high-quality set menu of four to seven courses, including vegetarian options. Here, chef-patron Björn Inniger serves up cosmopolitan modern fare, sourcing much of the produce from the region. His dishes feature subtle nuances, bold contrasts, and they are packed with flavour. The atmosphere is pleasantly laid back, and the setting is warm and welcoming with a touch of elegance. Friendly and attentive service comes courtesy of the charming waitstaff." - Michelin Inspector

"The bistro may be cheaper than this establishment's upscale restaurant (Stuba), but a meal here is still really tasty and fresh. Whether you come for lunch or dinner, the terrific, no-frills market-inspired cooking won't break the bank. They are keen to use produce from the region, in dishes such as "Hüttler's hamburger" or house speciality "Dad's steak tartare". Another of their classics is the spicy Thai red curry, with just the right amount of heat! In keeping with the Alpenblick style, the atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and the service is charming and attentive. There are also some good wines – the wine list is the same as at the fine dining restaurant." - Michelin Inspector

We stumbled upon this place while walking from the hotel to Adelboden’s town center — turns out it’s Michelin-recommended. The menu is very simple, and although it suggests booking in advance, we just walked in (the street was empty, so I thought we’d get lucky). The restaurant was already more than half full, and the window seats were reserved. Service was excellent — staff were warm and attentive. As for the food… well, with my Chinese taste buds I’d say it was just okay, but you can tell they put real effort into every dish. People who enjoy Western cuisine will likely appreciate it more. If you’ve never been, I’d still recommend giving it a try for the experience — after all, it’s Michelin-recommended. But if Western food isn’t your thing at all, you can probably skip it.

The confusing reviews are due to Alpenblick having both a bistro and a nice Michelin-starred restaurant under the same roof. The food in the Stube (starred) was absolutely top notch with original ideas and local ingredients (e.g. beef from a local Adelboden farmer). The sommelier was flexible enough to turn my wine pairing into an all-Swiss one -- don't drink that German Riesling when you can have a local Heida! While the format is a tasting menu, you can switch to a vegetarian option for each course if you want -- I happily swapped out the tuna from far away with the local Ziger cheese.

The atmosphere is nice, it’s a cozy place. The service is good. There were not much options for a non red meat eater. The starter was fantastic but the main course could have more taste, it was a bit plan in my opinion. Wouldn’t order the dessert again, the trilogy was fine, but nothing to look forward in the next time we go.

Really nice Swiss restaurant. Prices were not much different from other local restaurants. The value was good and the taste was excellent. Would definitely eat here again.

Food was really really good but the size was too small. Service it is ok.

Amazing food, very friendly service.

Yelp
My one star review of this restaurant is due to the fact that when we entered there were noisy children running throughout the restaurant, and were not disciplined.... The hamburger plate was very expensive ($28 CH).
